Ideally located very close to the river, to Jacks Bar, Icon Siam Shopping Mall, river boat and city rail transport links. Ban Rak food market is just around the corner behind the Shangri La hotel with an excellent range of local food. Expect to eat for less than £5 for two people.
The Bossotel is an ideal hotel for a few days stay after arriving in BKK or before departure. Highly recommended.

The gym is not air-conditioned and is only available 8 am-8 pm. Because of the heat I had hoped to use it earlier before it got too hot but was unable to (the power doesn't go on to the equipment during non-open hours).

Basic 3 star hotel with friendly staff and a clean simple room. If you’re wanting a luxury Bangkok experience, this is not it. If you want to spend your money on activities rather than accommodation, then this is fine. We chose this because it was walkable to two areas we wanted to go.

Bossotel is a small, friendly hotel very close to the river, BTS and Robinson/Tops. Tops is an international style supermarket, a bit expensive for Thailand but got most things a traveler might want. I find the area interesting but is bustling, noisy and traffic-congested. But then that is Bangkok in a nutshell. Breakfast is cheap but actually not very tasty; the pool is very small as is the so-called gym. The walk out from the hotel is slightly marred by a couple of massage parlors but otherwise the road is not too noisy. Opposite is a temple and school which reminds you that life is going on all around. Maybe a better place for adults than young families. I have stayed many times when traveling without my family and will continue to do so. Certainly prefer the area to Sukhumvit.

Stayed there many times UpTo about about 10 years ago, The hotel is tired, but acceptable. Receptionist 'Nana' is excellent.
Breakfast is basic & limited. No parking there or in surrounding areas.
Air conditioning noisy intermittently and not fixed, fridge was not working, but they fixed it, safe deposit not working and it was fixed,.
All things that should have been checked before occupancy.
Hotel ok for basic stopover.
Basically we stayed there because the other hotels we normally use were full with Chinese tour groups.
The cost is not really competitive.
Not too far from Tops supermarket, Robinsons mall and flea market.
Skytrain and boat pier about half a mile walk, to facilitate going everywhere.

I came for a conference nearby and enjoyed leaving the lavish hotel for the minimized hotel. I wasn't sure if breakfast was included. Expedia rewards were not recognized, and the staff, as well as space, were minimal. The foot massage next door is ideal, and the space is neat and clean.

I stayed for 5 nights on a business trip and highly recommend this hotel. The location was ideal , close to BTS and riverboats and the area had plenty of great restaurants and shops. The hotel itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. I loved the pool and the excellent breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

We had an early flight and we able to check in early which was much appreciated! Hotel is in a great location, few minutes walk from a metro (train link) and the river where you can get a shuttle boat or tourist boat to the different attractions along the river. Hotel was clean, and staff were friendly. Breakfast had a range of options including omlettes made to order which were delicious. The facilities at the hotel are limited, there is a small (non-air con) gym and a small pool which is good for dipping in but not swimming. You can also get a massage at the hotel for great value. We enjoyed the hotel for its location, and the staff but its a fairly basic hotel in terms of facilities.

Two complaints: breakfast was way too expensive for what was provided and the pictures make the hotel look way cleaner. BUT it’s not like it’s a dirty place. Mainly just bad carpet and pretty humid in the hallways gives the place a damp feel. But then again, this is Thailand.

The staff were great. Very helpful. I was a little surprised that the English was pretty limited with about 90% of the staff (just because it’s a hotel in a pretty popular area) but they were always willing to assist and never failed to get the answers we needed.

It’s in a very safe location, close to the pier and sky train. Great street food. All in all, I was happy with my stay.

Bossotel Hotel

The hotel is centrally located in that it is about a five minute walk from the BTS (Skytrain), a short train ride to MBK and a bit further to Central in Chitlom, five minutes or less to the Chao Phraya River and ferry boats, a few high-end silk clothing stores across the street from the hotel and a spa for massages right next door which is part of the Bossotel. The food was good, too!

Great location,deluxe room on sixth floor was big but so so noisey ,can't believe in a city like Bangkok they have single glazed windows , room also had a funky smell.
Breakfast was probably the worst of any hotel ever been in. Lack of choice or food was not replenished We thought this hotel would be ok as we know the location, but as they say don't judge a book by its cover , poor tired and so noisey which could be solved by double glazing like most hotels have, we have stayed in Bangkok a lot so we don't expect peace and quiet but !

Excellent location and a wonderful find. The price is so affordable for this great little hotel. We could walk to Skytrain and to the river taxis. Chinatown and the Grand Palace are just up the street. Loads of restaurants nearby, from lavish to street food. Just three minutes down the road is a riverside pier where the beer is cold and the food is cheap - great place to sit on a warm afternoon. The rooms are very nice, very clean and the staff is very helpful. We will stay here every time we are in Bangkok.

Great hotel because the staff are so friendly and helpful. I lost my passport in a taxi and the girls at the front desk called all the taxi companies for me and the doorman \"Chai\" personally walked me over to a police station to fill out a police report. The policeman did not speak any English. \"Chai\" did all the talking for me. This hotel has the kindest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered in all my travels. These people SAVED me! Great pool & massage also.

Although the front desk assured me this was a pet free hotel, at one time, pets must have been allowed because our room smelled like animal urine VERY STRONGLY. We asked for a new room and our first option was another room that smelled the exact same way. After going back to the front desk they gave us another room option that was much better and cleaner. The front desk service was very helpful in finding us a new room. But the pictures online make this hotel look WAY better than it does in real life. Also, all the taxis at the airport had a really hard time finding this hotel, no one knew where it was. You can find much better hotels in Bangkok for the same price.

Very nice room and good service but no hot water!

The only major problem was that there was no hot water in the bathroom, when we reported this to the front desk they sent a man to our room, he stood in the bathroom for about 10 minutes and told us there was nothing he could do! We had a very early flight and there was 3 of us that needed to shower but couldn't. We didn't get a refund or even an apology! Very poor service from that point of view but otherwise a nice stay

This hotel is in a great area lots of outside foodies short walk to the river and across the river is the peninsula hotel a must for coffee and lunch
There is a lady in the hallway at the hotel offered us a cruise up the river.
It was just three us and very cheap , it took about 2 half to 3 hrs very enjoyable
and also a great selection of local food down the road and around
The hotel breakfast limited but good .but the Hotel coffee shop not so good looked good .

Outdated rooms that seriously need renovation

We opted for a deluxe room and paid the extra for what was supposedly the best room in the hotel. Unfortunately the room was very outdated and throwback in time to a seventies hotel room. Furniture, decoration, carpet and bathroom were all in serious need of updating as was the metal keys for the door rooms (don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel where room keys have not been in the form of an electronic card that can fit easily into a wallet). On the plus side the room size was good and was relatively clean albeit there was a weird smell in the room on first entry. As for location, close to the sky bar but
not much else!

nice little hotel undergoing renovation but no problem, Rooms spacious, large comfortable bed, small pool and gym but quite usable,furniture a bit dated but clean, shower over bath, breakfast range less than other hotels but very nice. Hotel staff friendly good location to market area and local food court and some nice restaurants also robinsons shop.Many tailors and massages available around hotel. short walk to Saphorn Taskin BTS and river piers for river tours and asiatique ferry. walking distance for those who like walking to many city locations.

Not the Shangri-La but close (in proximity)!

When I was unable to secure a reservation for a conference at the Shangri-La, I looked at the closest available option. The Bossotel was that option and I was more than pleasantly surprised the warmth of the staff, the size of the room, the highly competitive price and the proximity to the Shangri-La which made conference session attendance both convenient and easy!

Very good, small hotel. Genuine value for money.

We stayed 2 nights in late July. I had forgotten my passport which was at home in Korat and I worried about being rejected. However the staff took it all in their stride and we checked in without problem. Room was good, bed comfortable, air-con fine. Breakfast was more than adequate and staff smiling and helpful. The hotel is in old Bangkok and close to Yaowarat. It is also convenient to the skytrain and the river ferries. Down the end of the street is an inexpensive small bar and restaurant right on the river.

This is the second time I've stayed at Bossotel, and it continues to be a great option in Bangkok. It's in a great area, near a huge food market, close to the river, and near both the BTS and riverboat systems. However, it is lower cost than some other hotels in the area. Previously when I've stayed here I've had conferences to attend at the Shangri La - much cheaper to stay here! There is a breakfast if you want to eat here, but honestly there is so much good food around that I'd only recommend the breakfast for your first day, before you've had a chance to explore.

Reasonably priced 3 star hotel in a location close to river , ferries and skytrain . Deluxe room was clean and comfortable with complimentary water , and tea/coffee making facilities ,bathroom had shower and separate bath , very helpful lady on tour desk . The only downside is that hotel is not well known by locals or taxi drivers . As hotel is very close to the 5star Shangri la hotel who everybody knows just ask to take you Shangri la which is short walk away . Just be careful transport drivers do not think you are staying Shangri la otherwise they will up your transportation quote .Would definitely stay again

Reasonable Hotel in busy part of city.

Taxi driver from airport had trouble finding the hotel although tuk tuk drivers and Gem sellers knew the hotel VERY well.
Our room was adequate with all required facilities. The shower was over the bath and the shower rose would leak all over the bathroom floor if you weren't careful. Breakfast was complimentary and varied selection - nice.
I would suggest you do not ask the staff for directions to the Grand Palace and beware of other patrons in the dining room at breakfast as a couple were taking sly photos of Western people.
Otherwise nice hotel.

Nice Hotel near BTS and many Markets.

If there was one reason to stay at Bossotel it would be the Hospitality!
The hotel is on a busy street but is surprisingly Quiet.
The best perks staying at this hotel are location near many markets and near BTS subway system which is very efficient.
If you're looking for a clean reasonable hotel with an EXCELLENT Staff this is the place!

Great stay! I was able to check in earlier than the regular time, and as the room I had initially reserved was overbooked they kindly upgraded without extra charge.

Room was very clean and well maintained, comfortable bed. Shower could have more pressure but other than that it was nice, with two different lighting options.

The area is easy and lovely, close to BTS (sky train) and easy to find as it's close to Shangri La. Had some nice food and massages in the area. Would come back!

OUTSTANDING Staff!!!

Location of hotel is pretty ideal near BTS station.
The street where the hotel is located is very busy with motor bikes all day and night.
This was my second stay at this hotel the staff are EXCELLENT!!!
Want to be fair to the hotel and the travelers.
Breakfast area is very nice with many good selections.
Rooms are nice don't be surprised by mozzies as that it is kind of beyond the hotels control with hot climate.
The pool is very small basically if one family with kids are there don't plan to use it.
If you just need a clean room with decent location it's pretty ideal.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a friendly and efficient staff the place is perfect.

Nice Hotel in a Great Location in Bangkok

I had a great stay at Bossotel, Bangkok. The location was superb. Within 5-10minutes walking distances are the sky train station and the pier where you could get the hop on-off boat rides along the river and get to touristic places and shopping places in Bangkok. The hotel's spa is perhaps one of the best in the location. The hotel staff is nice and friendly. When I checked in the room I was booked in was not available and I was immediately upgraded to a much better room. Great value for the money!

Too small room 315 for 3 people to share it - I have booked standard double bedroom for 3 with an extra bed.This room was too small for 3 people and we were even told that they have upgraded us. It had no windows and it was difficult to breathe during the night without an aircon.

so many beautiful places to see for so short a time!!!

bossotel is a very great location... near the pier to do your \"hope on hope off \" visit to \"must see\" places around the city proper -sparing yourself from the traffic jam!!!
or take the light train, the nearest station is about 5-10 min walk ....if you will not dropby the sidewalk for the so inviting fresh fruits abounding!!!
best time to visit bangkok this mo. ..not so hot.
bossotel, is a cozy place to stay,i highly recommend!!

First room was dirty, old carpet with air bubbles on the wall. Changed to a new room which was a bit better as new carpet. The tv doesn't have good Channels e.g. CNN or ABC or movie Channel. The pillow and sheet smelt oil stained, the bathroom was small with poor maintenance. The fridge was very small with built up ice in there so wasn't able to put anything in it. Shower head was loose leaving a mess on the floor after showering. At some stage the drain was also blocked.
At breakfast the staff ignore you and stand around gossiping about the guests quite loudly. Had to ask them about the protocol for breakfast or to make eggs.
The elevator is very small, old and slow.

Great breakfast.

On a quieter side street. The small extra upgrade for the buffet is well worth it. Only complaint is the room doors tend to slam so you hear a lot of this noise from the hallway.

Comfortable and tasteful rooms.

Enjoyed exploring up Silom Ave.

Good value for money and great location

Hotel has a great location, near to the sky train and river ferries.
Staff really friendly and helpful and for what you pay I think it's and great find in Bangkok.
Yes it's a bit tired in places but clean and welcoming for £35 a night for a superior room including breakfast, which whilst not a luxury spread is more than adequate save for the juices which aren't ...they're squash or added sugar drinks or some such thing.

Great location.

This is my second time at the hotel. It is located in a very safe neighborhood near the river.
One block from the SHANGRILA a 5 star hotel. The best massage for a good price. Across the street there is an excellent restaurant MAZZAROS. We ate there 3 times. Very good food and good atmosphere.

The double bed was very confortable . The floor with moquette cant be clean as everywhere .

Great Location

I've stayed here several times, and think it's a great hotel for the price. The rooms are always clean, breakfast is simple, but has a variety of choices, and the staff is very nice and accommodating... we were going to miss breakfast due to an early flight and they had boxed breakfasts ready for us to take. It is excellently located: good restaurants down the street; large shopping center with groceries, food court, and other items around the corner; water taxi station just down the street; many jewelry stores on the main road (2 min walk), short walk to to the metro (train/subway) station, and very easy to get a taxi or tuk tuk. There are also many spas- attached to the hotel and down the street.

Past its best.

Stayed at this hotel before, and its just not being maintained. It is becoming run down. Best rooms are the Deluxe which cost more, and for that money you could try the Shangri La just a few doors along. Great location for BTS and Express River boat, and because its near the Shargi La, every taxi driver knows where to go - just tell them your staying there. The staff are all good, no problems there, its just that the hotel is getting shabby.
