Hotel feels old, furniture very dated. Some wise man put oversize hangers in the wardrobe so the door cannot close, the lack of attention to detail was laughed off but really it shows ineptness. Breakfast was better than I expected but as always with hotels in Vietnam, it was nothing special although I was told by my wife that the pho was very very good. All in all a mediocre, dated hotel at a slightly high price. However, staff are fantastic, very very nice & very courteous especially carrying our bags which so many hotels here forget, 10+/10 for staff. Senior management/investors get a grip & update the place & put in ac that actually cools the room. Would I stay again? Yes but only because of the service by staff & location.

Stay with the locals

Overall, was pleasantly surprised by the hotel for the price. We were the only \"foreigners\" in the hotel, but nevertheless, we felt right at home. The breakfast buffet is good - but only Vietnamese, not Western. In lieu of a credit card for incidentals, they hold your passport, so fair warning. It's right across the street from the (local's) beach. Very good bargain for the price and area.

Close to the beach and well run.

I enjoyed my two night stay at the Green Hotel. Front desk was courteous and gave me an extra hour to check out when I requested it. My partial beach view window was mucked up with salt from the marine air when I checked in and I noticed a housekeeper cleaning the exact room window on another floor below mine. I asked a maid on my floor if it would be possible, using gestures and smiles to overcome my lack of Vietnamese, and she indicated it could be done. Later when I returned to the room, it was done! Breakfast buffet was large and geared toward local tastes but quite adequate. The clientele is mostly Vietnamese, which I consider to be both interesting and revealing. This is a place where local people feel they are getting a good deal!

Definitely better than normal 3 stars. Big volumes and size, either in the room and outside. Friendly staff. Super clean (floors in corridors cleaned 3 times during first afternoon) BUT table clothes very dirty in Breakfast area. They had 2 big parties the night before, may they runned out of time but...
Food... very adapted to local people, less for Occidental people. On the other hand... we were only 2 foreigners out of... more than 100 guests at breakfast: normal thing if they adapt to their favorite target.
Located cross the road from the beach.
So far, excellent value considered the price. You will find better in the street, if you want to spend more...

The twin room with partial ocean view did deliver a really nice partial ocean view, though the balcony was small & contained no furnishings. At $AU100+ a night, I though the room was small and fairly basic with just enough room for two beds & a side table. Basic room amenities. Easy access to local restaurants, beach and convenience stories.

Back Beach Win

If you are travelling to Vung Tau for a beach holiday experience then this hotel is Ideal. You can get their best suite for under 100 AUD per night and it is literally opposite the best part of the back beach.
All street food and Vietnam market stalls pop up in the adjoining streets every night and although you can no longer be served cocktails on the beach there are pleanty of bars that start where the sand ends.
The rooms are clean although slightly dated and can look unfinished lacking the touches of a city hotel.
It is worth the price for sure.

Nice hotel across the road from the back beach

The hotel is located across the road from the back beach and within walking distance to restaurants and tourist sites. The location is very quiet and we felt very safe & secure walking around both day & night.
The room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The room was very clean and had all amenities that are required.
Staff were excellent and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The manager himself was also able to assist with our requirements relating to check out.
I would definitely stay here again.

There was a stage directly across the street very loud till late , nice view of beach was obstructed by a 1/2 built vacant building right next to hotel , many guests very loud and had to call security , bed was very hard , Staff was good and the stay was a 6 out of 10 I would say to be fair .

Vung Tau beach holiday.

Thou English was limited staff went out of their way to accommodate all needs. Room was huge. Room very comfortable a little dated but immaculate. For a western traveler this is a hotel experience one expects. Price was outstanding for a suite in a beach front hotel.

Some miscellaneous maintenance was needed in our room.eg.repair a rheostat switch, replace two light bulbs and fix the wi-fi. Once reported by us, the maintenance was done promptly but it should have been identified previously.

The porter who brought up our bags from the foyer, loitered for a moment probably expecting to get a tip. As an Australian I don`t pay tips. He was okay when he realised there would be no tip for just doing his job.

Curious about HCMCs popular weekend getaway!

Green hotel staff were very accommodating and hotel was clean but a bit tired. They cater a lot for local tourists and local tour groups. Not a lot of English in that location so next time we would probably stay at the front beach. We like to walk everywhere but Vung Tau isn't pedestrian friendly. If only local tourists would clean up their act, Vung Tau would be a much nicer place. The local tourists (Vietnamese visitors) throw their rubbish anywhere they please. It is unfortunate and our biggest disappointment from our visit. Vung Tau has a lot of potential to attract foreign tourists and we had some lovely food experiences, especially at the Green Hotel restaurant.

very nice hotel, close to the beach

front desk very accommodating, doormen did their job of opening doors with a smile. breakfast buffet was the usual Vietnamese fare offering juices, eggs made to order and of course soup. hotel is located across the street from the beach and that was a positive. room was cleaned daily without fail. my wife and I were offered an upgrade as soon as we checked in but only certain rooms have a really good open view of the beach. we could see the beach through our front window but our balcony (off to the side of the room) faced a hotel under construction. lucky for us construction seemed to have been suspended. a good 3 star hotel.

Perfect for a quick beach trip

Made a quick, last minute get-away to Vung Tau with one of my roommates, and we were quite happy with the Green Hotel. It's right across from the beach, the beds were comfy, the bathroom worked well, we had a balcony with a sea view, the breakfast was ample, and the price was very good. Wifi worked well, also.

Nice hotel close to the beach.

The plus side, I could watch the sun rise from my room balcony. Enjoy the seafood and a night stroll by the beach. Vung Tau is still developing and Lotte Mart is coming up soon, can't wait to have more shopping venues. Didn't see much massage spa like HCM, not sure if it is within the hotel. Sunday is family day where most locals will have picnic or enjoy quality time, the beach will be crowded. Overall, my stay was excellent.

Great place for beach lovers

After 3 days in Saigon we were ready to relax. This is the place to do it. We were given a family room and it was on the 12th floor. The view along the coast was breathtaking. Checkin was friendly and efficient and upon asking we were loaned a map of Vung Tau. The town centre is not walking distance but taxis are plentiful and cheap. The beach is just across the road and is patrolled. We had lunch at the hotel and were the only customers there but here we found a black mark agaionst the hotel. Service was slow and apathetic although the food (once we got it ) was quite good. I would definitely stay there again

We had a very nice stay at Green Hotel. The standard of our room was very good. The sevice was absolutely amazing. The breakfast was excellent, but don't be to late! They don't always fill up things like bacon and fruit when it is finished and they only serve breakfast until 9. Make sure that you get a room on the north side of the hotel. A new building on the south side is so close, that you almost can reach it from the balcony! The view from the rooms on that side can't be that good. But with the right room you will have a nice stay at this hotel. It has an excellent location, just across the street from a long and wide sandy beach. The drawback is that the best restaurants and bars are on the other side of the peninsula. We like to walk, so for us it was not a problem and taxis are cheap, if that is your choise. The walk takes about 20 minutes.

This was a popular holiday and weekend destination for the local Vietnamese so did very much cater for them. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast and food in the hotel was very good. We did have some difficulties in the restaurant however as the staff didn't speak English or very little.

The best of Vung Tau

Our stay was tremendous! We planned to come to Vung Tau for a day,maybe two. The views of the ocean were breathtaking from almost anywhere in the hotel. After staying one night in Green Hotel with its amazing occomodations and fantastic staff we couldn't help but to rebook for another three nights. The front desk staff was so professional. They even delivered a motorbike rental right to us so we wouldn't have to hit the streets looking for one. The rooms were sparkling. The breakfasts and the restaurant staff are so sweet and wonderful! All in all this is the nicest hotel we have stayed in in Vietnam. Thank you to all who made our stay so memorable!!!

Decent place for low cost.

This hotel is a good bargain in that it''s location is goor being right across from the beach and it's a low cost. Furnishings are older and a bit worn. Staff helpful and friendly. English is pretty good. Brakfast is just ok. Wifi included and worked well. Seafood street vendors are right outside in the evening.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in the superior triple room from 5/fen/2013.
We arrived around 1pm and were allowed to check in early without hassle.

The towels are stained and not dry. They were replaced on our request.
Shampoo is not in the bottle but in the sachets. One sachet/person/day. These sachets are not easy to be torn off, especially when it is wet and slippery.

Facial tissue is not in the room. The housekeeper said it is not included and only given if begged (not requested). Can Expedia advise of the 3* definition? Does it include facial tissue?

Breakfast food and variety are acceptable. Food is ample and refilled quickly.
Staff are polite and helpful (except for the language of the above house keeper)

Beach is across the road, right in front of the hotel. Sea water is murky. We did try the Thuy Tien beach (2km away from back beach) but the water is the same.

Taxis from the hotel to the front beach is around 80000 VN dong one way.

Overall the hotel is average. However it is convenient for Beach swimming and Jesus Statue visit.

Great hotel with low rate...

The only thing I don't like is the door lock. It takes time to get used to ( no magnetic lock, conventional only). Location is perfect. The price is very affordable. The breakfast buffet is surprisingly good!!

The hotel is for locals only. Go there if you want to get starred at when having breakfast every morning. The only great thing bout Vung Tau in general is that there is one of the best surf spots in Vietnam just about half a mile from this hotel. But better stay t Sammy hotel, which is just down the road and is way better.

Jag rekommenderar inte detta hotell. Det finns en risk att rummet vetter rakt mot en betongvägg och en byggarbetsplats. Frukosten är till 90% asiatisk. Personalen däremot är väldigt trevlig och tillmötesgående. Städningen perfekt.

古い建物ですが、清掃はきれいにされていました。また、小さいですがバルコニーがあり、そこからバックビーチを眺めることができました。部屋にドラゴンフルーツが用意されていたりと、この価格でこのサービスなら満足です。ただ、部屋にスリッパはなく、近くの露店で100円で売っているビーチサンダルが置いてありました。さすがにそれに足を入れる勇気がなく、持参したスリッパを履きました。朝食も十分な種類で満足でした。近くに安くて素敵なカフェもありました。

Hotellet hade ett bra läge, nära stranden. Städningen var oklanderlig. Frukosten var helt asiatisk, det gick inte att få lite youghurt eller marmelad, heller inget mörkare bröd. Sängarna var väldigt hårda. Engelskan var inte så god hos personalen som dock var väldigt hjälpsam

건물 자체는 오래 된듯하였으나 위치 좋고 객실상태 양호함
화장실에서 벌레가 한번 나오기는 했으나 가격대비 객실 아주 우수함
아침 식사도 맛나게 먹었고 커피맛이 매우 훌륭했음
해변까지 수영복 입고 다닐수 있을 정도로 매우 가까운 거리의 호텔
전반적인 모든 것에 만족

ビーチ目の前です。ホテル前にはビナサンタクシー常駐しており大変便利です。フロントもとてもフレンドリーで日本人は珍しいらしくとても親切な対応でした。朝食は一般的なものでフォーも有りました。年末年始の宿泊であり若干宿泊費は割高でしたが楽しく過ごせました。

房間空間很大,乾淨,有小陽台可看到一些海景,早餐的種類吃一天還可以接受,連吃2天就會膩了, 房間唯一缺點應該是浴室蓮蓬頭冷熱水很難調成溫水不是冷就是熱....306號房,飯店有代客租機車服務,但費用要多付出1倍的代價,會一些越語的自己上網找就好,車行會自行將車騎到你的指定旅館,周邊有超商,也有很多2星旅館,距離海灘很近走路不用5分鐘

バックビーチへ裸足で行けます。

バックビーチが目の前という立地の良さで予約。周囲には海鮮屋台もたくさんある。

滞在中は礼儀正しく親切なスタッフたちのおかげで快適に過ごすことが出来た。

朝食のビュッフェもメニューが豊富だし毎日のサービスフルーツが、かなりの量なので昼食が要らなくなるほどだった。

12時が通常のチェックアウト時間なので17時までレイトチェックアウトを申し込んだところ時間あたり一泊料金の10％とのことで一旦金額を提示されたが、サイトから予約した料金と照合し安い方の料金で再提示されたのは親切だったと思う。

ロビーで訪ねてきた友人と会話してると冷茶のサービスもあり。
このエリアでは安くない価格設定なので、それに見合うサービスをしようと心がけているのだろう。
建物自体は新しくなく浴室も質素だが清潔感もあるし清掃スタッフも感じが良い。

Wi-Fiの接続状況が良くなかったが原因がホテルなのかどうか不明。mobifoneのSIMを使っていたがデータ通信も不安定だったので基地局の問題の可能性もある。

出発日にタンソンニャット空港まで直行バスの予約もお願いしたが手数料無しでやってくれた。
他にホーチミン・ベンタイン市場行きなどの路線もあるが、これらのバスは予約しておくとホテルでピックアップしてくれるので指定された時間にロビーで暑い思いをせずに居られるのはありがたい。
また泊まっても良いと思う宿。

Good value for money

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Deluxe room ok, small balcony with a view to the sea. Hotel close to the Vung Tau back beach, however you need a scooter to really see everything and explore the town. You can rent one at the hotel. Very Vietnamese and authentic surroundings. Good food everywhere. Be sure to visit the seafood market where you pay by kilos. Fresh fish, really good. Surprisingly good food court also at Lottemart, cool with aircon. On the hindsight, hotel has quite poor insulation so you might need earplugs. It was also very windy every day, which helps in the heat but can also be annoying.
