Agostino was such a wonderful host, his care and attention to details is what brings the charm of this building to life. From a little lemonade upon arrival, to the sweet postcards for our children on the pillow, to desserts in the dining hall (lemon custard was lovely). The communication was excellent! Very very nice place. Large rooms, excellent service. Great breakfast. Pretty garden and pool. Not that we got to use the pool since it was April and a bit chilly. Easy access to Erice. I bit far into town. We did walk and take a taxi back cause we wanted to drink. Looked like there was lots of parking if not drinking.

What a gem of a property, filled with different fruit trees, and a great place to spend a night or four. Sadly we only had one, but Agostino made it a memorable one. In his family since the 1870’s the grand old property makes for a pretty fine landing spot after a long day of travel. Tucked away on a quiet street, but close to the main drag it suited our needs perfectly.

You can walk to the old town, but there are eateries within a five minute walk. There is a gated entry that ensures secured parking. The main salon has chandeliers that will take your breath away, it just goes on and on.

Our guest room was spacious, very clean and nicely appointed. We would have loved to have seen some historical content in our room, but I can see why there is little. Breakfast was very nice, and ready when you are, you pick the time. If you’re staying in Trapani and want to treat yourself, you can’t make a better choice.

This has been the most fabulous stay for us in this beautiful villa. We absolutely loved staying in the property and it was our favourite across our extended stay in Sicily. The gated entry to the hotel is a relief to find after streets of humdrum apartment blocks in the more residential streets of Trapani. Once you are inside, what a lovely oasis! How we wish we could have stayed longer!
The location is excellent. You are a 15 minute walk to the Erice cablecar and a €10 taxi from the old town. Truly you would never have to leave the front gate (except for dinner) and it would still be a fabulous vacation.
Note: The numbering on the street makes no sense, so don’t be worried when you see that. The street is short, so just keep looking!

A good stay

The owner was amazingly helpful and friendly and the breakfast was outstanding. However, there was a strong smell of sewage in the bathroom and despite efforts to rectify it, it persisted throughout our stay. Also, very strangely, the cleaning staff removed all of our soaps, shampoos, etc. so that when we came back after a long day of sightseeing, there was nothing in our room. When we spoke to the owner the next day, he said we could have called him but we hadn’t felt comfortable calling so late at night when it seemed that there were no staff on the premises.

Wonderful historic building in equally charming gardens with a beautiful pool to cool off in. Staff are courteous and kind and they clearly care bout making your stay as pleasurable as possible. Agostino, the owner, will do his absolute utmost to ensure you make the right choices of restaurants and excursions if you leave the place and you'll very quickly feel at home. The decor is tastefully cool, and the air conditioning excellent. Off road parking (free at the time of writing) reduces stress further. What a fantastic find.

På alle måder et fantastisk ophold med høj kvalitet og service!
Allerede før rejsen fik jeg tilsendt en guide med lokale oplevelser, tilbud om reservation af taxa fra lufthavnen og da sen ankomst tilbud om restaurant reservation eller mad klar på værelset. Under opholdet var alt personalet yderst venlig og hjælpsom. Smukt indrettet villa og værelse. Alt var rent og pænt.
Skøn have og pool område.
En oase midt i byen.
Morgenmaden var ikke buffet, men blev serveret ved bordet efter gæstens ønsker. Stor variation og lækkert bagværk og lokale specialiteter.
Kan anbefale en “Sicilian lemonade eller Mojito” ved poolen.
