I booked my room weeks ahead , the day we arrived which was 5pm and the check in time was 2 pm , I was given the room key , and when I went to my room , the room was not available and clean ! We have to wait 10 min to get it clean. I demanded to give me another room that is ready for occupancy ,,, and the owner/ receptionist stated there was no room available ! Ridiculous!! How come my room is not available yet since check in of 2 pm ??? I drove 5 hours and have a very busy day, and this is what I get ? He did not give another room, he made us wait till the cleaning was done . I was tired to get another hotel in the area, but if I have still energy, I would leave that horrible place .

We stayed here to be near Toyota Amp. for a concert. The front desk guy was rude. He mumbled then got extremely irritated when I politely asked him to repeat himself. He looked at me and sarcastically clear as day said ‘WHAT IS YOUR PHONE NUMBER?’ Um okay.. why couldn’t you have spoken that clearly the first time?
Then he gives us a room key, we go to our room and the door is open, room in disarray. Mind you it’s about 3:30 pm, check begins at 3. We leave for an hour to get lunch then comeback. Room still open and uncleaned. So I go down to the front desk and tell Rude Man my room is not yet ready. He immediately puts on a big cheesy smile and gets super apologetic, he says ‘I only have 2 maids and 45 rooms, give me 20 minutes.’ I said ‘Okay’ he then says ‘5:30 okay?’. Um no! It was about 4:20 at that point so that would mean waiting another hour and 10 minutes, and our concert starts at 7. The entire reason we came to town. Anyways, long story short the room was FINALLY ready at 5:15 pm.
I have stayed at plenty of Motel 6 and I’m willing to overlook quite a bit but when the attitude is so poor and dismissive, I can’t say that I will be back. Also, it’s 12 miles from the venue and the Uber back costs $100. I would just pay to stay closer in a nicer hotel.

Room remodel going on upstairs. Made it very loud and not relaxing. Killed 6 cockroaches in our room. Luckily my wife did not see. Ice Machine was out of order. No kleenex or clothes iron in room. Very loud cars and motorcycles passing by all night. Plus numerous times or police or fire driving by with sirens on. Stains on bedspread. The experience started wrong. As the front desk demanded a $40 cash room deposit, even though I had already paid prior to my stay.

Good value for the money; weh only were there 6 pm two 6 am.
Very hard to understand the desk clerks English; very earnest but heavily accented!
Problem in Room 203: floor covering (vinyl) near the bathroom was split, mushy, ugly. Also, hard on bare feet. Even a throw rug would have helped. It needs to be fixed -- there might even be a water leak under it?

I was not greeted in a professional manner. I didn't see that you have to have 20 dollars cash as a deposit. The place had huge cockroaches. When I told the person up front she said \"we don't have those\" I said yes you do. I asked for a new room. I got a new room with new cockroaches. DONT STAY HERE, BEWARE. Spend a tad bit more money and enjoy your stay, you won't enjoy here.

I had a really good stay at Motel 6. The room was clean and had good air conditioning, which made it really comfortable. The place was very quiet, so it was easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. Parking was convenient with plenty of space, and it felt kid-friendly too. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it.

Needed a room last minute late at night because my sister's tumor was paining her too much to withstand the hours long ride home, so I was so happy to find an affordable accessible room near Hard Rock Casino & Resort Sacramento. But then after getting dropped off at the motel, the front desk manager said there's no way I reserved an accessible room since someone's already in it. He told me I'd either have to cancel (my non-refundable room!) or accept a room on the 2nd floor. That would've been fine, if they had an elevator. I explained my sister can't walk up the 1 flight of stairs, and I wouldn't be able to carry her wheelchair up either. I understand that it was late & he just wanted to get back to sleep, but we were tired & my sister was freezing in the parking lot. And then when an agent from Hotels.com tried contacting him to get approval for a refund, he wasn't answering. Luckily a supervisor from Hotels.com was able to contact a nearby hotel that did have an accessible room available that would also allow late check-ins till 3am. So our hour and a half long stay in the freezing parking lot of that Motel 6 sucked, but I will say that I normally have great experiences with Motel 6 (especially for direct bookings). I don't think this one bad experience reflects their usual service.

I checked it, the AC didn't work. They did fix it. The room was in very poor condition (holes in the wall, smears on the wall, floorboards needing replaced), the bed is very hard and on two nights my key card didn't work. There's a ton of light the floods the room, you'll hear all loud traffic passing along the highway. And the town itself stinks worse than Bakersfield. I had to wash everything when I got home to get rid of that awful stench.

I stayed in this room the owner was rude and i booked an room with 2 bed and for me and my 2 children and then my family came by to visit me and the owner tried to make me pay $15 extra per person and he made me pay $25 early check in fee when there was only 1 hour before check in and I didn’t know when you rent a room you have to check in at a certain time and when I went back to get my deposit back he did not give
Me my deposit back because the towels were dirty and I had set them on the floor. So he kept my $50 deposit he is very rude and disrespectful he is not a nice person and he doesn’t care about his customers i called the better business buearu

I had one of the worst hotel experiences ever at Motel 6 in Marysville, CA. I found a good price online through Expedia but decided to stop by in person first to see if I could get a better deal. As soon as I told the man at the front desk I’d just book online, he immediately went on his iPad and blocked the rooms, making them unavailable unless I agreed to pay a higher price directly through him. It was obvious and manipulative.

I ended up booking the room online anyway after I left — sure enough, the cheaper rooms were magically available again. When I came back, I told him I had already paid through Expedia, but he still charged my card a second time. Then he demanded a cash-only deposit, which I didn’t have and couldn’t get at the time. I politely asked him to use my card for the deposit, and he refused, saying he wouldn’t pay the bank’s processing fee.

When I asked for a refund, he said no, told me to “f off,” and walked away. I had no choice but to call the police. Even then, he only gave me half of my money back and continued trying to block Expedia from helping me. Luckily, Expedia stepped in and resolved the issue on their end.

This was an extremely unprofessional and shady experience. I would never recommend staying at this Motel 6. Between the dishonest pricing tactics, double charging, refusal to refund, and flat-out verbal abuse, this place is a nightmare. Spend a little more and stay somewhere where your money — and your dignity — are respected.

The rooms and property was average. The staff was great, but the owner made checkout disturbing. When checking in he asked for a $20 refundable cash deposit which I thought kind of odd but handed him a $20 bill anyways. Upon checkout he handed me bills all folded up which I didn’t count until I got back in car. There was only $18. Went back in to inform owner and he started screaming at me that everything was on camera and he gave back exactly what I had given him. I suggested he look at the camera to see I gave him $20 and what he was doing was wrong then walked out since he was still screaming at me. Then I decided to go back in to take pictures of his certificates on the wall when he came back out screaming that was illegal. I thought he was going to stroke out. Headed back to the car and he came out chasing me in the parking lot still screaming. Other than that, all was good. They also had a sign on the wall saying coffee which there was none.

I have stayed here many times. It's decent and cheap. This time however they wanted a $20 cash deposit for damages that was refundable upon checkout. I went and checked out and noticed several people were not going back for their deposits. Seems like a scam. $20 won't cover damages either. Our bed was pretty hard and the pillows were very flat this time and the room temp could not be regulated. A little disappointing for sure.

Room wasn’t clean. The floors, especially the bathroom floor wasn’t swept. The toilet didn’t look like it was cleaned at all. I don’t think they changed the pillow cases. They were a light brown instead of white, with makeup stains. I checked the bed and headboard to make sure there were no bed bugs, and I did not see any traces of potential bugs. After given the key, I was told there are no visitors. Which has me feeling there is illegal activity that goes on at that place. I have stayed a this chain of motels before, but this one has completely changed my mind on the brand.

Nice average room, bedding and some towels are stained. I usually bring my own but was unprepared this time so I Asked for a clean blanket and pillow cases and she offered to give me a new room but i wasn’t sure It would be better so i opted for the one blanket she offered me even tho i wanted two. Reserved the next night on my Capital One Rewards and they didn’t receive the booking so they tried to make me cancel and we’re not understanding and made me pay out of pocket so I’m out of double money. Hotels.com has cheapest price bc when i paid when my credit card at the location It was 13$ more.
