Very clean, professionally staffed and managed, exceptional property location and food was a good value.

Would give it a 10 star stay, except for the constant cigarette smoke at every part of the property…lobby, restaurants, drifting into rooms, at the beach. Not sure why people are still allowed to smoke anywhere in public, but in Egypt, this is still acceptable 😳

The landscape of the property was very nice. It wasn't too busy, so it was easy securing seats at the pool. More dining options are necessary because there is only one main restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, there is an Italian restaurant, but you need reservations for it, and that was not communicated beforehand. There is also an area located near the poolside bar with great food.

The hotel stay was wonderful and loved that they were accommodating. They convince of shops at the resort was wonderful for picking up snacks or souvenirs. I felt safe at the resort and all safe were nice.
Only thing I would say as a recommendation to consider is to add more authentic Egyptian food at the resort. I am use to the normal "American" type food. I wanted to try something unique to the country. As well as adding a map with the room key at check-in so people can navigate around the property.

Great diving centre within the hotel—the Pyramids team is fantastic! Friendly and helpful staff. The buffet is created with lots of dedication, with nicely presented salads. Ingredient information is readily available, and at breakfast, plant-based milks are offered—a thoughtful addition for allergics and vegans.

Our stay here over New Year was magical. The hotel and its staff were so friendly and efficient and accommodating. The facilities and food were fantastic and we would definitely recommend this hotel. The only criticism would be the communication. It would have been good to have more up front information regarding the new years celebrations and closure of certain areas in preparation for this. But it is a small concern in an overall wonderful break. Thank you.

The hotel staff were exceptional in every way from cleaners, waiters, bar staff , chefs, spa massage ladies, entertainment, ground staff to reception and security. Managers went out of their way to say hello and ensure that you were looked after. They employ people who can speak different languages. Activities and amenities for children also very good.
Food was excellent, clean and they had a good variety of dishes every day , including breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
Rooms were cleaned daily, with the cleaners making sure you are left water and replenished toiletries every day.
We had an iron brought to the room, laundry weighing luggage options.
The staff couldn’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Our room was updated to a family room with English movie and sport channels.
You can use the Indrive app to book taxi at the local rates which was fraction of the cost the taxi drivers quote.
We felt safe in the hotel . Airport is a little basic in sharm el sheikh and make sure you take a pen to fill out the immigration forms, otherwise the airport staff want to charge you.
We enjoyed the heated swimming pools. Most other resorts don’t have the heated pools so I never go in for long as I get cold feet cramp's.
They don’t take tips for the staff individually, I liked way tips are put in a box and they are shared among staff.

I would now come here yearly. Better than the turkey , morrocco and Tunisia resorts I’ve been too.
For Christmas it was decorated really nicely.

Great hotel for vacation

Much better than ever expected. Nice hotel with fantastic beach and very good restaurants. We went for the all inclusive and there was an abundance of food and drink. Having said that I want to single out the care and dedication of the staff that were second to none.

They had expresso martini included in all inclusive which was my favourite part.
Unfortunately their all inclusive expires at 12 midnight everyday which is deceptive. So after 12 you have to pay.
They didnt let us check in early even though we requested
The room's are quite small.
Food at this resort is quite delicious and they have quite a variety. They freshly make pasta infront of you

What an excellent experience my wife and I had. We took an extended weekend to Sharm El Sheik and loved the area and all the excursions we took. Regarding the hotel … we could not fault it. The room was excellent overlooking the pool, the staff (from the cleaning team in the room to the guys behind the bar) were so attentive!! We could want for nothing more. The food was good, endless cocktails and drinks if/as required.
In fact, we have been married 26yrs and lucky enough to have been on over 40 breaks abroad. We never go to the same place or hotel twice as why would you .. life is about different experiences. HOWEVER .. this is the first place that we agreed to come back again and replicate the experience.
I’m not sure if at this point you are unsure if I loved it or not …. but words can’t describe how happy we were!! Well done guys!!

We traveled all the way to sharm el shiekh and this place turned us away because they didn't accept our legal marriage document. Horrible service. The reservation was in my name and they only spoke to my husband. I've never been treated so casually in the hospitality industry. They didnt help us at all, just turned us out on the street after dark and totally ruined our time in sharm.

Lovely all inclusive property including all meals, drinks, activities. Wonderful staff. I felt perfectly safe as solo woman traveler.
Some downsides… a bit far so any off site dining or similar requires transportation.
Food is ok, not great, but cannot complain since it’s included.
The hotel promotes itself as green, but so much energy wastage. Room lights were turned on during room servicing and left on all day until I shut them upon return. (There is a key activated light system similar to other international hotels, but it’s useless, apparently over-ridden.) WiFi in room is poor, but works well in most public areas.

The hotel is nice and well kept, pool and beach area are very nice as well. No food or drinks service at the beach. The food overall is average specially de breakfast with just a few options and they never change the menu. Lunch was just ok at the buffet. They charge for room service they charge for in room mini bar and specialty dining (only one restaurant available). One star to the alcohol drinks they use unbranded alcohol bottles that taste like fake drinks very poor or no quality drinks at all.

My mother and I stayed at Jaz Fanara for a week and we absolutely loved it. The resort is beautiful, rooms are nice and clean, staff is very polite and friendly, food is tasty and healthy. The beach is a real pearl: the most beautiful water I have ever seen. I wanted to thank in particular Sumaya from customer relationships, she has been amazing and took great care of us throughout the week, she’s a star.

I would recommend Jaz.

But few of the Egyptian resorts are the '5 stars' often advertised. Nor should one believe the ocean of fake reviews - I'm sure this will drown within them. Most of my criticism probably applies to the majority of resorts in the area.

Pros
The house snorkeling / reef is world class
The property is expertly groomed
The common spaces are also lovely
Staff is friendly and attentive
Food and drinks quality is often good, but can fluctuate
Resort size was not overwhelming, nor overly busy (early May)
AC works everywhere (sometimes too well)
Omelet chef knows his business

Cons -
- Noise pollution within and without the resort
- The beds are hard and pillows are somehow harder
- The rooms are outdated
- Showers need more water pressure
- There should be more info on how to treat the reef

To elaborate, there are elements of the Jaz that are superb. We would consider coming again. But some choices we found bothersome and believe would drive certain travelers insane. For example, the level of noise pollution was shocking and ubiquitous. 10am or 10pm, there could be music. Swimming at the reef and you would hear Miley Cyrus' new single battling against the loudspeakers of neighboring resorts. Totally bizarre, and somehow standard across Sharm.

***The fake reviews across Egypt are a big problem. Travel with healthy skepticism. We live in the post truth world. Vendors lose the ability to react to criticism.

Overall, this was a great stay. The main restaurant, Medina is a bit outdated and could do with a refurb. The food was ok- always fresh and clean. The restaurant connected to the relax pool is beautiful and modern. The waiters in Medina restaurant are very helpful and attentive. I would say the majority of the staff at the hotel are helpful. The animation team do well trying to get people involved in the daily activities. There are plenty of things to do here, but if you want to relax, it is perfect for this too. All in all, a great hotel with excellent staff who are very friendly and always willing to help. Would I come back, hell yes!

Good hotel but poor food

We stayed for 5 nights at Jaz Fanara. The overall stay was OK. The pool areas were great, the room was pleasant.

The pools are nice and clean. Always plenty of sunbeds.

The main restaurant is in desperate need of re-decorating. It looks awful and feels like a canteen. The hotel was quiet when we stayed but the restaurant was always full and noisy. We spent almost all of our meals at the Jaz Residence as it looks much nicer but we did get mild food poisoning here which made us unwell for 2 days. The selection of food wasn’t huge either.

The room was OK. Comfy bed and nice bathroom however the patio door did not lock.

Our first room had dirty towels, broken bathroom door and significant noise coming from the outside of the resort. Upon complaining about the room condition, we received a new room but again dirty sheets. We told them we wanted to leave the hotel the following day but they gave us a new room again. Our 3rd room was in a much better condition and facing the pool. The Italian restaurant was a total catastrophe…avoid it as much as you can. The overall service was decent and the staff was very friendly. If you have any expenses added to the room, be aware that at the checkout you cannot pay in Egyptian Pounds unless you a national.

10/10 stars, the staff, property and location is beautiful! So close to the ras mohammed national park you can see the fish straight from the beach. Everyday there is a variety of activities with the team.
The staff were welcoming and kind. Definitely the best hotel in Sharm for pure egyptian culture and hospitality. Will be visiting again hopefully in the future.

Jaz Fanara is one of the best resorts in Sharm El Sheik.
Excellent staff, good food and facilities. The beach is private and well maintained - beautiful ocean.

I recommend Alyesa, client relations for any event planning,.advice etc. She is the best !!!! Professional, knowledgeable and on top of her game.

Jaz Fanara meets the 5 stars under Egyptian standards.
My recommendation to the staff is to pay attention to the details. For ex: complementary champagne after a celebratory event, and thinking above and beyond.

Very poor internet connection. Not stable, keeps disconnecting and unavailable in most parts of the facility. Whatsapp calls do not go through. Better buy an Egyptian SIM card.

Food is good. Fish and local dishes are delicious.

Clean. Good room service. Make sure to pay your tips in advance.

Beach area is so so. No fresh water or toilet facilty at the beach. Need to climb a mountain to get a fresh water shower after sea. Umbrellas do not shield you from the sun. Need to stock on 50 spf.

Fresh beach towels arrive at your room everyday.

Mosquitos are a major problem. They fume every evening with no success. Esp a huge problem travelling with children. Make sure to bring repellent and bite creams in large amounts. The bugs are quite aggressive in the evenings.

Overall it is a great facilty with easy to solve problems. Nothing an IT manager and a handy man cannot solve within days.

Would definitely come back if future comments convince md that internet, insect and beach shower problems are solved.

I was put in a filthy room that had a heavy smoke smell. Two housekeepers came in and heavily sprayed a febreeze or other aerosal. The front desk staff eventually accommodated me and found a room and were quite nice, but I would not stay in this hotel again due to the number of rooms in disrepair or inundated with smoke. The beach does little to prevent tourists and snorkelers from harming the coral reefs on the beach.

All you need for a relaxing stay

This hotel is really nice- exactly as advertised. I was here with a friend for 4 nights in December 2021 (paid about $200 USD per night including all taxes).

Just be aware that this hotel's clientele are mostly Russians and the place tends to cater to them a bit.

My biggest frustration/disappointment was the meals. I understand that buffet-style is to be expected at an all-inclusive, but it was unsettling to have watch people touch (and then put back) food with their bare hands. Yuck.

Overall, it's a really nice hotel and is very clean and offers attentive service. The hotel's beach is nice and you can walk to some places in Sharm without having to take a taxi.

Be aware that there is no internet in the room, and that the internet in the lobby is not great. But, hey, you're on vacation on the Red Sea- go with it.

We stayed here for a couple of weeks and absolutely loved every minute of it. The food exceeded our expectations for an all inclusive resort, the buffets were full of options so we always found something we liked.
The staff was incredible, from the cleanliness of the dining areas to coordinating Covid tests in-house, they all did a great job.

Rooms are large and beautifully decorated. If you staying in a room with seaview, you have an amazing view to wake up every morning.
Wifi is not good, and there is no wifi signal in the rooms.

I have mixed feelings. If you don’t like cruise ships, you won’t like this hotel. Only one dining option every night. NO WIFI IN THE ROOMS! And spotty WiFi at best in the lobby. It was also very loud until around midnight every night. Loud music and people over a PA system. The snorkeling was amazing. The pool is nice. The all inclusive alcohol was great.

My favourite hotel in Sharm.

I've stayed at over 20 different hotels in Sharm and Jaz Fanara is still head and shoulders above the next best.
The staff here are the most welcoming of any hotel, nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile and for no ulterior motive - they really care.
The Superior rooms are spacious and the air conditioning units usually work too well.
The food is of a very high standard and currently La Gazella restaurant is Al la carte.
The house reef is great for snorkeling and easy access from the beach and because it's at the tip of Om El Sid it is protected from the winds and waves - I'm currently writing this from another hotel near Nabq and the Red Flag is up preventing any snorkeling off the pontoon.

I stayed in this hotel in Feb 2018 for 6 days, 5 nights. Excellent location, very close to Naama bay. Food is very good and very tasty. Many varieties , good quality. I d say it is above a 4 stars expectations. Professional and friendly staff. Hotel facility is good for 4 stars, heated pool, bars in good locations. Gym need to be improved, one moderate machine. Major design omission is that there is no washrooms by the beach side, you have to go up to the pool level which is not practical. Same for towels kiosk, there is no one on the beach. Beach is inclined, not comfortable for long stay. May be it need to be flattened.
We reserved " saver rooms" which was really not good. Old furniture, small space, using keys not cards, old TV, interior design is poor. My room the telephone was not working and for 5 days hotel could not fix it. Water circulation is also poorly working. I would not recommend at all these Saver Rooms. Other ones look good.
No parking available inside. It is outside the hotel.
The hotel provides good quality coffee.
It seems that the facility area ( like lobby, lobby bar) is not large and wide enough to receive high number of guests. We had a space issue in some evenings though occupation in the hotel was not that high.
Overall, we had a great time and I'd recommend this hotel.

We went there for a family reunion and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The hotel is located close to one of the best reef, so we were snorkeling from the hotel beach several times every day. The service was top notch and we were asked daily by the hotel manager, Kalid Abd Latif, if there is anything else that they can do for us to improve further our experience. The buffet had always a big variety of tasty food, with a selection of meat and vegetarian dishes. The grounds were very well maintained and our rooms were spotless. Our rooms overlooked breathtaking views of the beach and the pools; it was very peaceful and relaxing. The staff was always smiling and eager to please. We truly felt the warmth and the generosity of the egyptian hospitality!

Good Value for Money (you get what you pay for)

There were some GREAT things about Iberotel and some NOT SO GREAT things.
GREAT: Consistent friendly service with a smile! Great house reef & beach! GREAT PRICE, and I'll have to say that we definitely got our money's worth at the Iberotel!
NOT SO GREAT: Buffet food selection. It got real old, real quick. We found that a hike to the secondary restaurant, the Italian restaurant, was much better! Snacks were less-than-appealing as well. Completely bland pizza or highly fried other option. Ick! Nightly entertainment also left much to be desired.

Great Reef

The hotel staff are brilliant as is the reef on the beach. But as a scuba diver the dive site let it down as only cater for beginners....but fabulous snorkilng. The two thins that really let the hotel down was it was 95% Russians so they did not cater for British tastes....hense the food was absolutely awful I litterally lived off of soup & bread & omlette in the morning. If they improved the quality of the food especially the meat & chicken then maybe there would be more Brits here as apart from that I would love to go back. Also the mozis are rife!!

Air con didn't work, safe was out of order, only one plug in the whole room to charge things, if you unplug the lamp, other than that.... No plugs!

Reef reasonable in the sea with great variety of fish
Food... 2 nights delicious, 1 night mediocre, 2 nights very dissapointing and not very good at all
No mueslis on the breakfast buffet which is quite a simple affair
But the omelette chef is very good
Wi-fi really slow, dodgy connection keeps dropping and charged for even though not available in rooms (only public areas)
But for the price, £200 a week all inclusive, a very reasonable and relaxing week

Fantastic sea-Good Staff-Good location

You can see the reef in front of the hotel, no need to go further, you can snorkelling or even dive.. one of the best local reefs (except the famous ones).. Good staff.. but average food quality.. and expensive late check out..

Second stay at this hotel, it's still a great place to stay. What I would say is there are not a lot of English people staying at the hotel. The animation team do a decent job and get people involved with what ever is going on. The food can be a little boring but as I was only there 7 days it was more then a choice to keepsake going.my review

A friendly and uncongested resort.

My sister and I stayed in this resort recently. The staff have been so friendly and pleasing to talk to. We instantly felt cosy. The hotel complex was very beeautiful with amazing views of the Red Sea. The meals were all first class tasty dishes which were mouthwatering. Internet connection was the only problem.

I am planning to return to this hotel as the diving sites are superb with an in house Italian diving school which offers snorkelling and diving experience for people of various diving and swimming experience.

Truly All-Inclusive

Great hotel; the all-inclusive saves you a ton of money as the tourist prices out on town will eat you up. We were making fun of the reviews that said not many people speak English until we got to the hotel... It's not a bad thing at all, but 90% of the guests were Russian, Italian, or other Eastern Europeans so the activities and SCUBA dive instructors and most employees speak predominately Russian or Italian; but I still got through 2 SCUBA dives in English :D Again, it's not a bad thing, but in case you want to socialize with other guests, you can expect a language barrier with English.

The staff was very professional and the meals were fairly good for all-inclusive meals; you can a beer any time of the day and the bar is a great place to have some chips/peanuts and a drink after the sun sets.

Excellent, but needs to protect the corals better

I don't think I'll return for a third time as it's too distressing to watch the ignorant masses clamberring their way to the reef wall of Ras um Sid, a top dive site. The Fanara and its guests aren't the main culprit, but it can do more.It should put in place a pontoon or jetty as soon as possible. It should employ boat patrols in the meantime. They have well meaning staff using megaphones, but by that time , the idiots from mainly Russia and locals, are already walking all over the coral. The hotel is really good and they have the best reef on their doorstep. They should build on their situation , or things will simply deteriorate to a level that they will be just another hotel.

Good Sharm Hotel

The hotel is up to the usual "good quality" Sharm standard. Not premium luxury, not poor, but normal respectable and acceptable good quality standard for the Sharm area (and I've stayed in quite a few over the years).

The hotel is on the shore and has own moderately-sandy beach, which is quite a plus in Sharm, especialy in the Hadaba area where it is situated. Not all hotels have this, in lots of other hotels you'd need a bus to the beach.

There are shops and a pedestrian bazaar-type area within a 10min walk from the hotel. Best one is the Metro supermarket, a 10-15 min walk down the main road past the Fantasia complex. A proper supermarket with prices marked and no haggling.

Note the hotel is not inside the main town of Naama bay, but is rather a 10-min taxi ride away.But singles and clubbers might prefer a hotel inside Naama itself.

Food is fine, but I'd recommend to the chef to use more imagination and less sausages, radishes and mayo.

Good quality hotel & great dive centre

This is a nice resort hotel - suited to families with kids, and possibly couples. Facilities are good. All inclusive actually means "all inclusive" which is not the case with a lot of hotels. Food is excellent with a wide range of tastes accomodated. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I stayed here because I was diving with their dive centre. The experience was excellent, thoroughly enjoyable - both shore & boat dives.
The hotel were helpful in providing towels, early breakfast or lunch boxes on request. Also I had an early departure when leaving, but they were able to accomodate breakfast before I left, irrespective of the restaurant not actually being officially open.

The only down side for me was - I enjoy a peaceful, quiet time to read and relax - that's not really an option here. There is always music or "animations" by the pools, and music in the restaurants. There aren't really any places to simply "get away" which was disappointing. But that seems to be pretty universal across hotels in Sharm.
All in all, I'd recommend the hotel. I booked separate flights & accomodation, didn't use a travel company, and had no issues whatsoever... however I have been to Egypt many times before.
I travelled alone because I came to dive, and because I have friends who live & work in Sharm. I had no issues at all being at the hotel alone, I felt very comfortable and relaxed the entire time.

Certainly recommend it.

The hotel was of a good standard - a proper 4 star. Hamy who looked after our "villa" was extremely helpful. The overall standard of food was good. As it was all inclusive, several guests were helping themselves to 3-4 plates of food and then wasting quite a lot of the food.
The male staff selling their spas and beauty treatment were extremely irritating and not taking no for an answer. My daughters were not happy with some of their lewd comments which spoilt an otherwise great holiday.
The Expedia agent Sameer was extremely helpful.

a place to relax in the sun

We were warmly welcolmed and taken to our rooms. The hotel is on a long narrow(ish) strip of land from the sea inwards. At the end away from the sea is a pool that was very quiet (in Jan) and a lovely restaurant and bar there too. This suited us but we did go to the sea where the swimming was great in clear water with the colourful fishes.
The pool at this end was busy but warm.
We ate too much the first two days with being all inclusive but if you choose wisely there is a good selection and you don't need to put on half a stone like I did!

Extremely welcoming Hotel

Spent a week at begining of April here staff were very attentive and friendly always willing to help you out with anything.Unfortunately our airconditioning broke down while we were there so did have a few days with work men in and out of our room but our room was very comfortable with balcony and large walk in shower water always hot also plenty of room to store clothes out of your suitcase which was nice.Food was good a lot of variety and there was some evening entertainment better on some nights than others they have a small ampitheatre where this is held and entertainment staff work during the day as well as the night . Aqua aerobics in the pool.Got hassled a lot to have a massage but declined as quite expensive to do so and done out in the open with onlookers! Has its own private beach and clean towels are provided everyday :) fantasic beach for snorkling amazing fish and corals.
