Our stay at Renaissance Sharm El Sheikh Golden View Beach Resort was one of the best experiences we have ever had. We were upgraded to a wonderful suite overlooking one of the lower pools thanks to our Marriot membership. The breakfast buffet was amazing with both Western and Middle Eastern options. Even though we did not get the buffet dinner package, we thoroughly enjoyed our experiences eating at both the Calamari and Italian a la carte restaurants. In both cases the restaurant staff treated us like family making us feel special offering us complimentary starters, desserts, etc. Overall the facilities were immaculate from the impressive main lobby area down to the extensive beach area. We were able to do amazing snorkeling right off the facility pier as well as take a day cruise to the national underwater park area. Our room service staff also made us feel special with special flower petal arrangements in our bedroom, etc. This was definitely a highlight experience of all our travels.

The hotel was old and dated. I booked a premium room based on the picture which showed an unobstructed full sea view. When I arrived and opened the door to my assigned room I saw a roof top with solar water heaters. I asked the manager to change my room, which he did, but I should have received the room that I paid for from the beginning. The food was average at best. The furniture in the room was old and dated. However, the dive shop was excellent. Great instructor and you could dive the reef right from the dock.

Grounds: wonderful and well maintained. However, pool tiles need to be cleaned because grout in some spots is dark. Not sure if it’s dirt or what, but I did see maintenance putting chemicals regularly.

Food: We did AI option and selection was good. Lots of choices and great value. But service of getting drinks from the waitstaff was hit and miss. One day they would acknowledge you and bring drinks, the next time no and you would have to go and get drinks. Also, sometimes beer and other drinks was warm so that was disappointing.

Rooms: all rooms face the sea which is awesome. Got to watch sun come up multiple times. Unfortunately, they need a major update, the bathrooms especially. Ours smelled musty and had mold in the corners by the shower. The hairdryer was from the last century. You had to continuously hold the button for it be on. After a few minutes, your finger hurts!! There are no amenities such as shower cap, body lotion, etc that you would typically get at any hotel. They only left you two towels each time they cleaned. There are no washcloths. We had a family suite and the door in main room did not open and kitchen had older appliances. Albeit we did not use the kitchen I would like to let others who might know. The refrigerator did not work. We put water in freezer which it did not freeze but it worked and we had cold water! The overall cleaning was ok.

Our room cleaning was very good, however the staff in the dining area seemed very inconsistent and many looked stressed or bored not helping. Had one ask us to move tables twice to be at his table. Food was not good. I’m still sick in bed with running to restroom every time I try to eat or drink. Eggs for omelets left out too long unfridgerated.
The stairs to get up to room was very difficult since I have a bad knee. I was in pain most of the time. A sea view room should be accommodating to handicapped individuals without this pain.
Check in the band machine to run our cars would not function properly prolonging our check in process. We even called our bank and they assured us it was on their end so we finally got a manager to send a link to pay. Wasted 2 hours on our check in day with this AND an international call cost!
We paid for all inclusive and the dining only in buffet was misleading. And terrible selection. Reused items obvious left from last service or day before. After paying this much and this service was very disappointing.

The resort was, overall, nice - clean, well maintained, with beautiful views of the Red Sea. The food options were varied and enjoyable, and the service throughout the hotel was consistently polite and professional. The spa, however, was underwhelming. While the setting was clean and the staff courteous, the quality of the treatments did not meet expectations. The massage felt more like a light rub down with minimal technique or real muscle work. I also had a manicure, and while it looked good initially, the polish began peeling the next day. To be fair, the spa services weren’t expensive (they weren’t cheap either), so expectations weren’t sky high. Even so, with some investment in training and better quality products, the spa could be a stronger part of the overall experience.

It was a nice hotel, good facilities and very spacious rooms. However, the rooms do feel quite dated and could do with an update. The resort is absolutely huge but they have golf carts available to drive if you’re feeling a little lazy, or in my case, wearing heels!
My only complaint is the staff that come around to get you to buy spa/massage packages, I don’t mind being asked once but we got asked about 10 times by different people within the space of an hour… it’s a bit much to constantly make small talk when you just want to relax, they’re very persistent too and don’t really listen to being told no. Other than that, it was a nice little getaway for us.

Absolutely incredible stay. The hotel is extremely comfortable. In the room the hot water and water pressure is amazing as well as the AC being super strong working very well. The room was sound proof and so quiet. The amenities are wonderful with 3 pools and tons of space for guests. The restaurant on property was very good, my friend and I enjoyed the buffet which came with our stay for breakfast, but then we even ate buffet some days for lunch and dinner and paid around $18 USD per person and it is very filling and delicious for all people. The options at buffet are many and very tasty. The staff is extremely friendly the manager went out of his way to help us everyday and made sure to take good care of us. The wait staff at the restaurant are always helpful and so kind. I recommend this resort to all travelers, some of the most hospitable people. The front desk even arranged for our room to be ready before check in, absolutely amazing.

Wonderful wonderful people, staff were going above and beyond. Names that I remember for front desk were 2 Mahmod, Abdulah, the nice guy who cleaned our room named Ahmed.
One of the best spa services that I got was from facial treatment and she braided my hair too, her name was Hadeer. She was a beautiful nurse who works in beauty industry too. I received great massage from other lady too.

This is a great place to stay in Sharm. Clean, well kept, courteous staff and nice amenities. There is not too much in the immediate area in terms of restaurants, shopping ect. It’s an all inclusive resort (which I opted out of) so there are places to eat and a small selection of stores on the location. If you want to go out and about you’ll need a taxi and most places are $15-20USD so it can get expensive. I got lick a couple times with some lower fares. If you’re looking for an all inclusive, this is a great spot. If you want to be closer to the action there are other great options in Sharm.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel and had a truly wonderful time. The room was clean with an amazing sea view. The staff were all very friendly. I honestly can’t fault anything. It was a good base to explore sharam el sheikh. Comfortable and we got a free upgrade after they saw we have a family. Staff were friendly but it’s clear that they cater to Europeans mostly and want you to have euros. Use inDrive as an app to get around rather then taxis.

We had a beautiful room overlooking the Red Sea. The snorkeling off the pier is amazing. For an all-inclusive, the food was very good and we were well-pleased. Special mention to Ayman in the Coast restuarant, Hesham at the pool bar, our room attendant, Ahmed, and Maikel and Sama in the spa who made our stay extra special.

It is very difficult to arrange the transportation -- should establish text or other app instead of making CALLS to every restaurant, in room, SPA, etc. It is not accessible for people with hearing loss. I had to rely on other staff who happened in the area -- I had to walk and look for them to make CALLS for me. That reduced me to very limited independence and ability to get around.

Don't put your life at risk!!

Firstly I would not recommend this hotel to anyone the two major safety reasons! One the water leakage of the bathrooms top rooms go directly down and that can cause the property to callapse it happened on my stay and two days it was unoticed until I raised the complaint to the manager and i said I'll take it further!!! Poor maintenance...finally I get to change my room and junior insuite as bad as the upstairs! The sink of the kitchen moving the leakage under the sink the damp smell it was hurrendous! The outlook it looks luxurious but the internal is weak and dangerous!!! Looking at the property and resort it looks luxurious and a five star to be in and you feel safe!!! But it's the complete opposite below are the things I faced myself!
The bellman broke my suitcase handle (Samsonite carrier)
The bellman was careless and my daughters headphones snapped (from Japan)
Two bags from Canada carelessly thrown and tore while pulling and throwing!!
All on camera viewed by myself and the Manager Mr Muhammed Olymee he had nothing to say because in the first conversation he sugar coated it!!! And he easily brushed it under the carpet!!!
The room wall leakage connected to the bathroom all was damp bubbles growing carelessly ignored for two days!
The junior suite as bad maintenance as the rest
The towels are filthy if you face them towards the light you'll see all the marks it seemed they are being sun dried and steamed not washed!

Pros: Location (beach front), facilities (complete with everything you may ask for), room comfort (amazing bed linen, mattress, shower, refurbished bathroom). Comparing to other hotels we got to see in Sharm, it was very pleasant to see the space you have at the bache and pool areas between chairs and sunbeds. Not intensively crowded.

Cons: the food. But this is probably an Egypt-wide thing. Food is not their strenght. We took breakfast only deal and we're very glad we did. Wine is undrinkable, breakfast had many options but quality was not ideal in my opinion.

I still recommend this hotel as it seemed to be one of the best options in Sharm. DON'T BE TEMPTED FOR BARAGINS. You'll regret later.

We've stayed here around 25 times and I started going to the hotel in February 2006. We always look forward to our stay. Hospitality is always excellent, rooms are always superb and we always have a fabulous time, however long we stay. I booked with Hotels.com to stay in August 2021 and paid in full at the time of booking for myself and 9 year old son so check in was as smooth as usual. This was NOT the case with my recent stay in October 2021. I chose the pay at hotel for our all inclusive package and received confirmation of the price to pay (taking into account currency fluctuation) of $680.88 which included taxes and fees. The confirmation stated that this ALL INCLUSIVE rate was for 1 adult and 1 child age 9. Imagine my horror at check in when I was told this figure was incorrect and I would have to pay an additional $22 per night for my son's meal basis meaning an extra $176 for our 8 night stay. The hotel would not back down on this. Given that I was not charged extra for the SAME accommodation package in the SAME hotel two months previously I went to our room totally dismayed. Neither Hotels.com or the Renaissance hotel would accept responsibility for this additional charge. Eventually, after a very lengthy online chat with a second customer services rep I was initially offered a voucher for $140 which I refused.I was forced into a corner when I was told $170 credit voucher would be their final offer. I will NEVER return to this hotel based on this recent experience

Au début c'était vraiment choquant, par les conditions énoncés tel que 1 seul boisson par personne sur site. Même si ces conditions ne sont pas appliqués par la service tout le temps mais ça reste un souci encore quand j'ai perdu quelque chose sur la plage et j'ai posé la question 3 fois pendant 24h00 à la réception on m'a répondu qu'ils vont chercher malgré que les responsables sur la plage m'ont dit qu'ils l'ont déjà envoyé au ( LOST AND FOUND) l'heure de la perte alors en disant aux responsables à la réception, ils me l'ont donné en fin après l'avoir gardé chez eux pour 24h00 sans faire la moindre effort. Encore ils nous a annoncé des fausses horaires du restaurant avec un décalage d'une demie heure ce qui nous a fait le déjeuner la première fois. Mais après le deuxième jour j'ai essayé de m'adapter et de voir tout ce qui est positif. Généralement on peut passé des meilleurs séjours là-bas en négligeant les fausses infos de la réception, le site est vraiment bel, mais L'ANIMATION TEAM est vraiment presque absent ou bien n'est plus intéressé par son rôle.

The staff were very kind, professional and hospitable. They make us feel happy and home. When we first arrived, My wife and I did’nt like the smell in the room and the front disk his name is Ahmad right away responded to our request and assign an excellent sea view room. The staff in the resturant and servers Especially the restaurant manager Mohamed Bassyouni were great and hospitable. Mohamed bassyouni always meet us with a big smile and made our day shiny and bright. He is really a good asset for the company. He always tries to be sure that we are fully satisfied not only with the food but also with our stay. The food was great, fresh and different every day. We really felt the good care and love from the staff. front desk were very polite and meet you with greeting and smile. They promptly follow up on any request. The outside bar area was very clean. (Ahamad and others) were very friendly and hospitable. The house keeping were excellent and always follow up after cleaning. Honestly, we feel that this hotel through the service provided and the staff made us feel home. I certainly rate your hotel 10 out of 10 and sure will come back and it will be our first choice in the future.

This was a very nice resort. The breakfast was not so great but the restaurants were good. The hotel staff was wonderful. There is not a whole lot around however, its a 10 min taxi to pretty much anywhere and they are all waiting outside the gate. We met a taxi man name Ahmed Bob. I highly recommend him. He was there whenever we called and gave us good prices. He was very reliable. There isn't much of a beach but there are chairs with umbrellas at the waters edge and its all rocky. You can just walk down the jetty to a beautiful coral reef so snorkel was great there. If you don't have one you can get one at the hotel in the shops. Ours broke and the staff even fixed it for us. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were amazing. The hotel was clean and quiet. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have knee issues or problems walking. There are a lot of stairs. All in all it was a nice quiet place to stay. I would stay here again.

The grounds were very nice / beautiful and just what you'd expect from a nice resort. The rooms were nice but didn't match the quality of the rest of the resort - but they were bad at all, just not 5 stars. The location is cool too - the snorkeling there was unbelievable, and the nearby El Fanar lounge was amazing snorkeling as well. Overall a very nice place - but a little isolated in Sharm... you'll need a cab to get just about anywhere in town. Not much walking around.

The exterior part of the property is stunning. It is well maintained and has beautiful views. The beach is beautiful with crystal clear water but it is very rocky. Not able to swim really (you can snorkel off the pier). The rooms however have so much potential but are dated, furniture worn. We had a suite and it was big with a kitchen. The stove had burn marks or grease (not sure what it was) around the burners. Furniture was torn or chipped. Cushions were stained. It could have been so much nicer if updated or refurbished...something.

Hello, My experience at this hotel was one of the best I have ever had. The entire staff was amazing. The concierge, front desk, waiters, waitress's, lifeguards and bartenders were all extremely pleasant and eager to make your stay a memorable one. A special thanks to Mr. Amr, Mr. Hasan, Ibrahim and Abdulla at the concierge. The food was very good, with a wide variety of delicious foods and desserts. Many Pools throughout the resort cleaned daily. There is a lot of walking at the resort but if you prefer there are resort carts available at various stations through the resort. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, may need some upgrade but nothing major. The resort has entertainment for children and adults every night. The beach is very nice but its a small shore but this is because its geared towards diving. Overall this resort is nothing short of amazing and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful swimming of the jetty, for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Pools were are pristine and stuf staff was friendly and engaging. Calamari Restaurant had amazing seafood and service and was surprisingly very affordable even for dinner every night, or lunch. Coast had a wide variety of food that accommodated all kinds of diets of allergies. The rooms were huge and had a beautiful view no need to set an alarm you can just leave open the blinds and let the beautiful sunrise wake you up.

Property territory is so big we have to move around in golf carts. However by the middle of the stay it turned out that they are only for handicapped and people with luggage, the main building is located on top of the hill so if you have a room next to the beach prepare to walk 6 flights of stairs 3 times a day in 40+ degrees heat. Stuff is very young and untrained, doesn’t speak English mostly and too flirty with the visitors. i was traveling by my own and can’t say I felt safe during my stay. Food was poor and not tasty, most of the time it was hard to pick something eatable and also it was very hard to catch someone from stuff to get a glass of water.
Cleaningness of rooms - They are washing the room with chlorine so every time after cleaning the room smelled disgusting and they didn’t wash it away from the tub so it caused skin irritation. Since it was impossible to explain myself in English I just asked not to clean the room for the whole stay.
Even though the room was located at the beach there is no place to swim as it’s a very rocky beach so they don’t let anyone to the water

BEST HOLIDAY EVER,

We really enjoyed our stay,from the arrival at 3.00am when the manager upgraded our room to a suite.
From the attentive service at breakfast time to the general politeness of all the staff working there.
The gardens and pool areas were so well looked after,and again,really lovely staff.
But the best part is when you swim over that reef and discover the amazing underwater world just outside your bedroom,the spectacle is amazing and makes all the holiday
We have been touched by the feelgood feeling we have returned with,and would like to thank all the staff to make this holiday so pleasant.

Beautiful hotel and beach

I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sharm el Sheikh . It has beautiful landscaping to spend hours relaxing and enjoying the water view from the top of the hill . The room is clean and the bed is confortable . The staff is very nice and helpful.

Very pleasant experience

I stayed at the hotel in triple deluxe room. Our arrival and check in went smooth and efficient. The car picked us up from the Sharm el Sheikh airport and 20 minutes later we were in the hotel. We were given 3 room keys and a towel card. Our room had only 2 beds but before we knew it the 3rd bed was brought in. All beds were comfy. We tried the pool , it was clean and very relaxing area. All the staff was friendly. We played pingpong that was right next to the pool .
Our breakfast was nice , too with a very welcoming hostess, waiters and a manager who made sure that we have everything we need. He even brought us orange juices in the following days as he already learned that we always have that in the morning.
Security wise the hotel was outstanding. Anyone coming in had to be X rayed bodily x-ray and the bags have to go through the scan too. Any taci that drops the customers at the uotel is recorded, when we asked why the security officer told me \" in case you forgot something inside, the hotel will be able to get it\".
The beach was very nice as well with such a huge area of coral reefs and all kinds of sea creatures.
Tennis courts, valleyball field, free gym that works 24 hours, pingpong available for free anytime - we had a great time in the hotel.
The only drawback was smell in the bathrooms, which we were told by locals might be due to an underdeveloped sewage system in the hole city of Sharm Elsheikh.

Internet a problem

Wifi is a huge issue here. They advertise that they have wired wifi in the rooms but it is a phone cord that fits with no device in this day and age. Also, they advertise that there is wifi in the lobby and pools. It doesn't work most of the time. We ended up checking out and moving to a hotel with wifi.

Had to phone reception at least twice before a responce was forthcoming.
Staff was not very friendly and helpful.
Room was not what we expected, we requested a new room but were denied even though the hotel was completely empty.
There is only 1 heated pool
There food at the restaurants were not too great
Acapulco Joes is a really great resturant. nice location, nice views, lovely food, warm friendly staff.

Don't always believe what you read!

I was looking forward to staying here by reading reviews but my honest opinion is this...
location was quiet and peaceful if you want to just relax no shops around, also views from bedroom were amazing, food was ok, the only problems i had was ..
1- gave me two twin beds instead of one double!
2- staff are arrogant and rude.
3- The security in and out was too extreme at this hotel, some might find this a good thing but to me it put me off as it was too over the top.
4- when checking out they came and checked my room twice to see if i had taken anything from the mini bar in the space of 15mins.

Nice location by the sea.

We are disappointed about hotel's services. No internet or very bad internet connection. We had to change our room to have internet in it. Experienced electricity problems while we were waiting for food to our room so had to go to the hall to have our \"romantic\" dinner in the bar and were charged for \"trip\" (\"the trip\" which our waiter had to do to deliver the food to the hall although it was not our fault). Overall expression- very expensive! Egypt used to be cheap place to go to but it looked to me as soon as they found out that we are from the UK, prices went up 3 times at least. 1 alcoholic drink and 1 water bottle in hotel's bar was almost £10! Not happy about room cleanness as well. We had even full rubbish bin left after cleaning. Stuff was friendly and big thanks to manager Amr as he seemed to be the only person who was resolving all the problems- like changing rooms and other problems we experienced. He was the only person who removed our mini bar (after asking 3 times to the stuff) as my husband was on diet and can't have chocolate in the house.
