Good location, staff are great, bathroom needs work. Downside is the upstairs rooftop club that plays loud music from 6pm- midnight which you can hear very loudly from your room. Just an FYI if you’re travelling and trying to get a decent night sleep

Excellent service. Rooms were relatively cleaner than average. However there is no hot water which makes showering very uncomfortable. The shower itself also has no door so water gets all over the bathroom floor.

The hotel restaurant is closed. There are multiple renovations going on so the place is dirty, dusty, noisy, and does not allow outside food to be brought in. The management does not care and refused to allow me to change rooms to escape the dirt and the noise. Unfriendly, unapologetic and inflexible. I felt unwelcome. Never again. AVOID.

Roads towards this hotel are very narrow. It is impossible to come here in car. Location is very complicated and overpriced. I paid 68$ per room and it’s not worth at all. I lived in 10$ per room hotel 2 years back were better than this. Even though I paid close to 7000 INR they are saying breakfast is not included for us but for others it is included. While selecting the room I selected best available options still no breakfast. Facility doesn’t have parking they say parking available at extra cost but that is misleading there is no way to bring car to facility. You have to park at municipal parking spot.
I would never recommend this hotel. I will never come back to this place again.
There are more healthy, tasty and reasonable breakfast available outside.
The view from rooftop is good but that you can find in many other hotels. Price is not worth it.

A little noisy, but overall pleasant!

The room was very basic, including the mattress which was far from premium bedding. On a very positive note check in was available very early (6am) which was extremely welcomed after a long overnight trip! Hotel also was a bit noisy during our 3 night stay early mornings!

They told us the room we had booked (4 beds family) was being renovated so they would give us two twin rooms. We only booked there as they could accommodate all 4 of us in a room. The rooms they gave us were shabby, very noisy, had cockroaches in bathroom, saw a mouse in the reception area, husband could not sleep as too tall to fit in the bed frame, aircon did not work and when we checked the filters they were absolutely filthy. They agreed to give us our money back for the first night so we agreed to stay for the second that we had booked and paid for, but then they refused to give us anything back. Disgraceful hotel with dishonest managers.

Large,comfortable and clean room, staff very helpful and polite, restaurant food was very good although the menu was not extensive. We enjoyed staying in Poonam Haveli.
Only negative point: The entrance on a very busy road, no parking in front or anywhere for guests.

Clean hotel, rooftop terrace close to lake pichola

Nice hotel in the old town close to lake pichola and 5 minutes walk to the city palace.Rooms clean and beds are comfortable and a small balcony outside the room. Good breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a nice view. Restaurant has a limited choice menu but there are plenty of other restaurants close by.Staff are helpful and aim to please.

The hotel building was delightful, full of character. The room was clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom. The staff were excellent. The only downside was the guided walk that we were offered as soon as we arrived. It is true that this only cost Rs 200 per person, but it was really no more than a trudge around the streets with little in the way of commentary, ending in a carpet shop with a fairly hard sell. I would give this a miss,because navigating your own way around is perfectly easy. The hotel is well positioned for the fort. I highly recommend Indique restaurant nearby ---- great food and cold beer on a fantastic roof terrace with perfect views. It`s by no means a budget establishment but neither does it cost a fortune.

Amazing view.

Clean, comfortable room.
The highlight is the roof top patios. They are the only place that has covered outside tables. The others are either inside or in the direct sun.
The view is amazing, both day and night.

View of lake and city palace from roof restaurant

There are 2 roof decks, food is good, restaurant prices in line with other hotels I stayed in during my 2 weeks in Rajasthan. From the roof deck one could see that most other nearby rooftop restaurants were empty, so they are clearly doing something right.

Very nice Hotel

Hotel was quite comfortable, room design could have been better (there are no cupboards). Staff is excellent and food is fine. Hotel is very famous. Only inconvenience was that taxi find it difficult to reach the hotel as road is narrow and one way.

they stay was good. i had requested for a king bed but the was allocated separate twin beds. After my request, they shifted me into a room with a king bed. wifi is available and has a decent speed. the restaurant closed at 9pm instead of 11pm as mentioned on their details. the breakfast buffet had very limited choices and wasn't very great.

Elegant Hotel with amazing rooftop views

We arrived on the early train and were given a room to rest in while ours was prepared. The room was large and comfortable. The air conditioner worked really well. The walls seemed a little thin but not so bad that we were unable to sleep. We had some issues with the hot water but we were used to cold showers and didn't seek to have the issue addressed. The location really makes this hotel amazing. You can walk down to the water for dinner, there are plenty of shops close by, it's a short tuk tuk from the train station, and you can easily walk to the City Palace and the Temple. We had a delicious breakfast at the rooftop restaurant twice where the views of the lakes and the city are truly spectacular. Probably the best we found during our time in Udaipur. The hotel and rooms are clean and very well presented. We would easily stay here again were we to visit Udaipur.

Great place. The rooms are nice sized, well maintained, bright and cheery. Very clean. The staff is quite helpful. It is in a great location with a wonderful lake view from the rooftop restaurant. The breakfast is so so. It's just a quick walk to the City Palace and the major temple. Good choice.

the Labrador/ fantastic pet

read reviews of the haveli before booking and reviews of the hotel and the Labrador were just as written. in the Centre of tourist area. great for shopping and very near to the palace. Situated in a small street, parking is a problem. breakfast was great.

Depuis Varanasi, suite à avions supprimés pendant plusieurs jours d’affilée à cause de conditions météo exécrables dans le nord de l’Inde, nous n’avons pu honorer notre réservation. Le personnel de l’hotel Red Pier à Udaipur s’est simplement réfugié derrière sa réglementation interne pour refuser tout arrangement, allant jusqu’à être incorrect au téléphone malgré nos nombreuses tentatives de discussion. Comment faire de l’argent facile…

Cet hôtel n'est pas cher, mais on ne se sent pas à l'aise. Nous sommes restés 6 nuits, la literie n'est pas confortable, le papier de toilette n'est pas remplacé et de manière générale le personnel cherche toujours le pourboire. Le petit déjeuner est minimal. Le restaurant sur le toit est toutefois magnifique.
Nous avons eu une mauvaise expérience avec la navette vers l'aéroport. Le patron nous avait assuré que nous partions avec la voiture de l'hôtel, après un transport en rickshaw. Le matin venu, pas de rickshaw, nous avons dû marcher avec nos valises jusqu'à une agence de voyage, qui offrait le transport (à moitié prix ) et nous a amenés en 4e vitesse au stationnement de l'aéroport (il aurait fallu payer 3$ pour aller jusqu'à l'aéroport). Bref, mieux vaut faire affaire directement avec l'agence, surtout qu'il y en avait une à côté de l'hôtel.

Godt familiedrevet hotel med super udsigt!

Hotellet er drevet af en fransk-indisk familie. Alle er flinke og hjælpsomme. Der er ingen udsigt fra værelserne, men udsigten fra restauranten, og specielt tagterrassen, er SUPER! En solnedgang på tagterrassen bliver siddende i hukommelsen resten af livet! Værelserne er store, luftige og rene. Der er WiFi på værelserne osv. men den er, som det vist er tilfældet de fleste steder, ikke helt stabil og hurtig. Morgenmaden er omfattende og god! Hotellet er et af de bedste valg i Udaipur til prisen!

Sehr spartanisch eingerichtet, kein Schrank, kein Safe. Frühstück eher bescheiden. Internet langsam. Lage allerdings sehr gut, Dachterrasse mit wunderbarem Blick. Personal freundlich. Wäscheservice innerhalb eines Tages mit sehr guter Qualität. Alles in allem für den Preis ok.
