Nice welcome at check-in, quick as pre-paid so nothing to do except give ID. Location ideal, especially for using the viaduct to walk between areas, especially to Bastille.
Evening staff a little more less helpful, but maybe that was the difficulty between languages, staff member was a little abrupt. Plenty of hot water.
Negative part was the wet room/bathroom. Nice design, unfortunately the shower door did not stop any of the water getting out onto the bathroom floor. Which means the room floods unless you use the bath mat pulled right up to the outside of the door to stop water flowing. I guess the floor area in the cubicle could do with being slightly angled to stop this, or a better fitting door. However, we realized that this is what causes the smell in the hotel room. The water runs under the bathroom vanity so not getting dry so remains damp/musty. It would also be useful to have a mirror above the desk area for hair/make-up as not enough space in bathroom as sink in alcove and only one person can get to the mirror.

The room was set up nicely when I arrived, but some corners were noticeably dirty. The towels in the bathroom had hair in them, which was disappointing. Also, the shower only had body wash gel—no shampoo or conditioner provided. Overall, it was fine for a short stay, but the cleanliness and amenities could use improvement.

Horrible sanitary condition. There is no typical housekeeping you expect from a place listed on Hotels.com. (They ask you to pay for basic housekeeping.) They won't give you new towels despite you staying six nights. Unprofessional rude staff, too. Would not recommend it to anyone.

The bedroom was pretty, and the windows were very nice. The biggest problem is that this hotel is not air conditioned. We left the windows open all night, and bugs came in. A really uncomfortable night. I wish that I had realized that this hotel did not have air conditioning -- I wouldn't have booked it for a room in June.

The curtains in the room were spotted and dirty. The management were very angry that i reported to Expedia that there were no utensils provided for the kitchenette. There was no coffee pot - only a kettle. There is a massive construction project underway just beside this property. Hard to believe this is a 3-star property.

don’t stay in this hotel

the bathroom inside my hotel room smelt like an open sewer. It was very discusting. they clearly had a long term problem with the pluming in the toilet/shower and the odor was committed up through the drain. I’ve never had such a horrible experience. The hotel receptionist found if “funny “ when I told her about it and she clearly knew about the issue but put me in the room anyway.

Overall a good stay. Knocked off a star because of problems with door to the garage locking behind us and our key refusing to open it. Be aware if you are driving to this hotel that you cannot get into the garage without stopping at the front desk and that there is no where to wait at n the narrow street until you get access to the garage. Also, be aware that there are two elevators and only one goes down to the garage level. If you have a lot of luggage, we recommend that you request a room near the garage elevator. The room was larger than a typical Paris hotel room, but the studio was small for a long-term stay. We did appreciate the small dishwasher and especially the helpful staff.

This is a really great aparthotel. The staff on the front desk were excellent, and the rooms are exactly like they are in the pictures, clean and comfortable. The only downside is there is no aircon (they don’t claim there is) and as we were there during a heatwave it was very hot!

Gare de Lyon - Excellent Apart Hotel

We had a really great stay here, 6 nights - staff were excellent - Apartment was great - we booked 2 as we had our daughters with us - they loved it too. Apartment was large and spacious, bathroom was good, as was the kitchenette which my wife cooked on most evenings for us all. Close to Avenue Daumesnil was a bonus, Lidl was good but the InterSupermarket offered more choice. Compared with the UK, wine was less than half the price it would be at home!

Hotel with NO AC

I booked this hotel thinking that it was \"near the train station.\" It is - but you have to walk around the entire station and it takes about 15-20 minutes to do so to get to hotel. The nearest train station is at least 8-10 minutes of walking. This is new construction, and the building still did not look entirely finished. There was NO AC or fan unit and it was very hot and stuff in the room. We left all the windows open at night in order to try and get some ventilation, but the main train station is on the other side and it is very noisy with the windows open. Staff was friendly enough. The room itself was fine - only two small towels and no day to day service change over.

O hotel fica a uns 15 minutos da estação Gare de Lyon (andando com calma). O bairro é bem tranquilo.
O quarto era muito bom, confortável e com boa estrutura para fazer algumas refeições. Estávamos em 4 pessoas.
Alguns pontos a melhorar:
A louça que estava guardada no armário estava um pouco suja, tivemos que lavar tudo novamente para poder usar; - não tinha detergente e nem esponja, tivemos que comprar; - a máquina de lavar louça estava suja, com louça dentro e com resto de sabão; - não deu pra usar a máquina da louça porque não tinha sabão disponível; - a limpeza do quarto (tirar o lixo) só é feita a cada 7 dias e ninguém avisou que nós é que tínhamos que tirar o lixo e levar na lixeira comum do hotel na portaria; - poderia ter mais ganchos no banheiro para pendurar as toalhas de banho (seca mais rápido e fica mais organizado); - o sabonete líquido que foi fornecido no banheiro acabou logo (dava a impressão que já tinha sido usado por outros hóspedes, a embalagem estava quase no final, e não tinham reposto).
No mais, o hotel atendeu bem ao que precisávamos, foi tranquilo.

My room was a good size, especially for Paris. The small kitchen was decently equipped (fridge, freezer, small dishwasher, glasses, plates, cooking pans and at least 2 of each type of cutlery). There was also a coffee machine which I used to make tea. 2 tea bags and 4 instant coffee pods were provided for my 4 day stay. There was a recycling bin but no trash bin other than the one in the bathroom. I removed what seemed like a winter comforter from its sheet cover to sleep with only that since the room had no air conditioning. It was 35C/95F while I was in Paris. I asked for a fan and one was brought to my room. Also I could open all the windows and get a bit of cross-ventilation. Only issue with that was bugs and outside lights. And the fact that on one side my room faced a very active construction site starting very noisy work at 7AM. There were cobwebs in the room and I discovered stains on the comforter when I removed it from the cover. The pillows were too hard and big for my liking, but I know there are many different views on a comfortable pillow. Bed was big and comfortable. I appreciated the many different transport connection options, depending on where I wanted to go. Well-connected for a part of Paris that is not so central. Candy, filtered water, fruit infused water and Madelines were usually available for free in the lobby. The water was very much appreciated given the extreme heat.

Det var absolut en positiv oplevelse og hotellet ligger meget centralt ifht at rundt omkring i Paris og Gare du Lyon ligger tæt på ifht at komme længere rundt i Paris. Horellet har perfekte faciliteter - et lille tekøkken og skønne senge til en god nats søvn efter adskillige tusinde skridt i Paris’ gader.
