The resort is absolutely stunning. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. We stayed in the villa with the pool over Valentines weekend. The outside bathroom is a fun experience! The staff was extraordinary and were always very friendly and attentive. We did 3 of the excursions through the resort. Apo Island snorkeling, Dumaguete city tour and Siquijor Island. They were all very well organized and the guides made sure we were taken care of

We just wrapped up 2 weeks at Atmosphere and absolutely loved it. The grounds are beautiful, room was huge, modern and very comfortable. Food was superb with many menu choices and daily specials. Most importantly, the diving was awesome. Some of the best macro we’ve ever done. Dive shop is clearly well managed thanks to B and Jan. A special call out to all the amazing staff including Louie our dive master, Ed the sommelier who was such a great host, and Charlie at the pool who looked after us. We will be back! Spotless, spacious, beautiful room. Highly attentive staff - from check-in, to dive training, to bar, to kitchen. Walking onto the premises was breathtaking, I've never seen such a garden. I've never seen such an atmosphere, than I saw at Atmosphere. Absolutely relaxed, efficient, friendly, a dream.

We had poor experience but tried to keep this review focused on our overall impressions.
Would not return, not special enough for money, but if diving main focus then may be a good option.
Resort itself is a dive centre with accommodation, restaurant and spa, not a luxury resort.
Dive centre appeared proficient (we didn’t use).
The staff were friendly and eager to please but service not slick.
Main restaurant offers too much choice and suffers from doing nothing well. For example, despite a pizza oven the result was more like toasted bread with some toppings.
Ocean restaurant doesn’t really exist, just an upsell dining experience and food quality not worth the high costs.
Room rustic rather than luxurious, bed uncomfortable, no curtains so light pollution severe and unfortunately there was building work noise well past darkness.
Resort offers tours to nearby islands. There is no pier or dock to access boats for these trips, you have to wade out into sea and make way up precarious gangplank with rail held alongside. I’m over 6 feet and water well above my waist getting on and off and I found the whole process very stressful and was convinced I would fall. Sea was also rougher than we expected.
Whilst there, both my wife and I suspect we had food poisoning, management argued it was a bug! Whatever it was ruined our stay, and to avoid similar problems I would encourage anyone staying to be very careful. The hygiene standards we saw at the Beach Bar for example below standard.

This is a 5-star diving resort. The property is stunning. The rooms were large and had every comfort required. The food was incredible and every staff member was attentive and friendly. They even supplied hot facial towels after snorkelling/diving and welcomed us with a drink straight off the boat. There were many pools to choose along with many dining options. A beautiful place to stay, we didn't want to leave! Well done Atmospher, truly a first class experience.

The property itself is beautiful! The dive centre and the spa were the absolute highlights. The staff at the dive centre were very attentive, accommodating and the facilities were fantastic. One of the best dive centres I’ve had the pleasure to dive with. The Spa was also great, although on the pricier side, the treatments were fantastic and the facilities were great. The room was well sized and the bed was great! We really enjoyed the outdoor shower.
The reason for four stars was the resort aspect of it. The room did not come with any vanity kits (toothpaste toothbrush shower cap etc), we asked for an iron or steamer for the clothes after a very long flight and they could not provide any but wanted us to use the laundry service with an added charge. These would be amenities I would expect in a four star hotel of this price bracket. The portion sizes at the hotel restaurant breeze were so small and very over priced. Breakfast was also limited from a set menu… with additional charges on extra items- again I expected more as the charges are very high and it is rated to be a four star.
Overall we had a good stay, the reception staff were very helpful especially in arranging taxis, tricycles for us to go for dinner at restaurants in town etc! Thank you!

Very very good hotel with an exceptional in house restaurant. Room was clean and comfortable and hotel benefits from a great house reef and connections to the stunning Apo Island where we saw possibly the most beautiful reefs we’ve ever seen, amazing sea life and turtles! We were snorkelling but the hotel is a dream for divers.

Had a lovely stay here. The staff are great and they go above and beyond to make you feel special and looked after. From friendly gardeners, to smiling restaurant staff, to cheery bar staff, and exceptional dive staff who work all work incredibly hard. Diving was great and so flexible for whatever suits the guest. Really enjoyed our stay- oh and the massage was the best I have had!

Perfect place to relax and recharge like me I came from the airport and just hours and minutes ago as soon as I arrived me and my nieces, nephews, friends and relatives was very excited to see and what atmosphere can offer since it’s was all our first time to go and stay for a night even if we’re just live close by., but me being on a vacation mode wants to explore it with family and friends to relax and enjoy the ambiance of the resort.

Food in the restaurant was excellent but pricey, the restaurant need to re think their deserts , especially the sorbet which was terrible and their portion sizes need to increase .
We suggest that rather then use the Super expensive hotel spa , you go outside , get a bike taxi for 150 pesos to Dauin “high street” there are 2 great spas , one is limspa (A tenth of the price of the hotel ) the other is the blind spa which I did not experience but heard was also excellent .

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Upon drop off is a very long walk everyone must do on uneven ground just to check in, no other way! We stayed for three nights (2 deluxe rooms and 1 premium suite). There’s some complimentary fresh fruits and the note says you can ask for more if requested. My company on the other room has not received any fruits at all & requested personally to a staff, she said it will be sent out but never came. I called the front desk and requested slippers for room use (those cheap white slippers you always find in hotels) I was told by the staff that they don’t provide slippers unless your room is above deluxe and you can purchase a slipper in their boutique. I was very disappointed and to think that we paid 13,000 (thirteen thousand pesos) per deluxe room per night!
The food was ok but prices were unbelievably expensive. My friend inquired regarding a massage and a simple one hour massage will cost you more than 3,500 (three thousand five hundred). I can never recommend this kind of hotel to family and friends. After checking out on the last day, you walk on the same way you came in.

Ownership and staff of Atmosphere Resort have achieved balance in offering a 5 star resort experience while sustaining the natural beauty of Philippine culture and natural resources. The extensive grounds of the property, gorgeous pool areas particularly the smaller pool with trees and shade, direct access to the ocean are superb.

Accommodations are spacious, clean, cool and decorated beautifully. Resort staff are helpful and friendly. The dining options are some of the best we have experienced in all of Dauin, with poolside service, bar and elegant evening dining offering fresh seafood, local fare, fine wine and terrific service. Finally, a special thanks to Rae Collins who is always available and concisely offers lovely, genuine and world class service to guests. WE will return soon!!!

My wife and I stayed in the family suite which was very spacious and clean. the beds, pillows and sheets were all very comfortable. The wifi was also very good. no complaints. Atmospehere provided us with lots of clean towels and the water pressure in the shower was on par with north American standards. One thing we did note was that the toilet had a leak and we would find water pooled around the base of the toilet. The property was well maintained; grass was cut and watered, no garbage lying around. Aside from the Holy Week festivities that the town held the first night we got there (noisy), it was quiet and peaceful for the rest of our stay.

The resort is beautiful, clean, peaceful and safe. Our room was also very spacious. However, extra services like massages and facials are expensive as well as the local tours. The food choices for the breakfast buffet is also quite limited and the taste is more suited to foreigners.

If you want to be away from the world this is the place to stay, but if you want adventures and to explore the island the staff either did not know anything or were not willing to help us. Everything was a no. They did not know about car rentals or anything. We asked for a private dinner which we would pay for no matter the cost on our honeymoon and they said no. Everything they either did not know about or they would say no. It’s a decent hotel I would not say the nicest. The manager is nice but she’s lost herself you asked her for things and she will say yes then you go to the counter and the staff say no. We wanted to exchange money we asked her she said yes we get there and they say no they are closed to then find out they can only do $100 American dollars. I was not pleased with the service. The food was so expensive and disgusting yes disgusting. We eneded up eating at Casablanca in Dumaguette and enjoyed every minute of it and paid way less

Atmosphere Resort & Spa offers vacationers and locals on holiday with a lovely setting of carefully manicured grounds, many variety of trees, flowers, gorgeous pool settings (for adults and children's pool) among the trees leading to direct ocean access. Atmosphere Resort is a place to relax and escape the busy life in Manila. A very memorable moment for our family and friends. They have a polite staff and specially the very caring Resort Manager. She was very worried when my son got sick. She visit us in our Penthouse room to check if my son is ok. My only complain was they dont have a 24 hours driver for emergency purpose. I need to buy medicine for my son allergic rhinitis, but no available driver. I need to pay for an extra cost to have an on call driver at 10pm. But for our over all stay in the resort was good. And also the food they served was delicious.

We definitely felt the Atmosphere here!

What can I say? We were lucky enough to stay at Atmosphere during our Honeymoon. This was the first hotel we stayed and was by far one of the best. The staff were incredible, food was tasty, diving experience phenomenal. Have recommended this to all friends, family and travellers we met on the way.

Our room was spotless and very clutter free which made it feel very peaceful and relaxing. The shower outside was very special! We both loved the eco nature of the resort. Service was top notch, the staff arranged two jam packed days for us. Collection from Dumaguete airport was seamless, and the hotel even liaised with our next hotel to arrange our transport and pick up.

Apo island which is a divers dream is a short 20 minute boat journey across where we enjoyed the experience and diving with turtles! The hotel is a premier diving hotel and we undertook a Discover Scuba Diving course here. They also offered sending out a dive master who was also a photographer to take photos of us on our dive, all very proffesional!

I go to Dumaguete a couple times annually for supplier visits, and decided to try Atmosphere as a change from my usual spot, another resort in the area.
It’ll be my go-to place for future visits. Big rooms, spacious grounds, good restaurant and bar. The wi-fi was far better than I’ve experienced in the past at other area properties. The spa and the snorkeling trip to nearby Apo Island were also great, with the boat crew ensuring some turtle sightings.
Staff was attentive without being overbearing, with one exception. When I arrived there were three staffers competing to get my bags to reception. One for my rollerboard, one for my laptop bag and one for the bag of water and snacks I’d picked up on the way from the airport. I get that they’re working to get some tips but that was a little over the top.
That, though, was a brief and minor event, and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

A fantastic part of the world offering some great trips out to Apo island, diving with turtles and whale sharks. Although the WiFi was non-existent it reminds you to put down the phone and tablet and enjoy the surroundings.

Perfect for quiet relaxation

I had just a couple of days at Atmosphere following a long business trip that entailed travel throughout the Philippines. Atmosphere was the perfect place to decompress before heading home to the United States. I'm not a scuba diver and didn't do any of the side trips available. The pool area and the spa were absolutely wonderful and all I needed for such a brief stay.

A great resort for both divers and non-divers

We booked this resort as we wanted to dive in the area. This is a heaven for divers, and I promise you even if you are not a diver you won't be disappointed in this resort. Everyone does their best to make you feel good, rest and be happy. From garden staff, to cleaners, restaurant and bar staff, reception, management, spa and of course the brilliant dive crew and dive support group are all the best team you expect to have on holiday. Every one smiles, they all more than happy to help you, talk to you, put a smile on your face, and make sure everything is fine.

I can't praise the management team and dive organizers and crew enough, but I must say I had some of the best dives of my life here. Every one is so professional and every thing very well organized and presented.

Restaurant is brilliant, with very nice friendly staff and very nice menu with loads of option and lots of different specials on a daily basis. All in all we had a great time here, and even if we don't want to dive we will be more than happy to go there and just relax.

You will want to come back

It's the little things that make this place something to come back to: welcome drinks upon arrival, welcome drinks when our boat returned from an island day-trip, staff who call guests by name, and the staff that checked us into our flight AND sent someone to the airport to fetch our boarding passes. It makes the food prices and rather out-of-the-way location (40min from city) quite insignificant details.

Just as lovely, the second time around

We did not regret our decision to return to ATMOSPHERE a second time, for a much needed break (we had just gone through a death in the family).
The resort continues to give its guests the best possible \"space\" to de-stress / chill-out and recharge.
We must commend the high standards it obviously tries to sustain in the cleanliness and efficiency of its room facilities, its SPA services, the friendly attention of its staff, and its quality dining and choice of wines.
All these combine to make Atmosphere a very tempting \"cocoon\" to crawl into, again and again.

One Of The Friendliest Resorts

My wife & I had a 5 day stay that was relaxing and a lot of fun. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff & management at Atmosphere Resort as I believe they truly want to make you feel welcome. I was surprised at how good the food quality was for a mid sized facility. There was no problem accommodating food item substitutes to match my LCHF diet regimen. Diving at nearby Apo Island was my wife's delight of the stay and she and her dive guide actually saw (a rare sight) mating octopus's (or is it octopi?) as well as 6 sea turtles on her mid-stay dive day.

The only small niggly I had with this resort is the need for footwear at the beach, cause its a bit rocky (rubber slip-ons were freely available).

Anyway, my takeaway is....loved it, loved it.

Dumaguete's best resort, If you can afford it -.-

Good times! The villas were very private, spacious, and clean. Their infinity pool was a nice touch. The staff were all very kind and accommodating. You can course all kinds of tours with them. Their spa service was just WOW! Food was really AWESOME! (masterchef-like cuisine - can't stop drooling over their white chocolate pannacotta.) However, this all comes at a price (western price rates). But if you are willing to spend for the best, then this is the resort for you. Only drawback is its 45mins from the airport, wifi was slow, and their beach front was rocky...

Love this resort you have to stay here

Was at this resort last Oct love it so much came back again. Grounds are beautiful staff are so friendly always smiling. Love the food so good free breakfast in the morning was great my hat off to the cooks. Room was so nice love the outdoor shower and the nightly treats. Pool was cristal clear always clean. Looking for a great place to get away you have to stay here. Will be back next year.

I'm glad that everyone in our group was happy about this resort. The penthouse is very spacious and it has everything you need.We enjoyed the variety of breakfast food like eggs done to your liking, and a great selection of bread. Although we spent the whole day on day tours, we looked forward to coming home to this resort. It was nice to order cocktail drinks from the huge bar across the infinity pool with the view of the sea. The trees and tropical plants are lit with uprights that gave the place a romantic touch.We ended up just staying in the resort on our last day than doing another trip.

I've stayed with my family in the penthouse room for a week. The room is of a good size but could use some more furniture -- overall rooms looked empty. It could also use some refurbishing -- particularly in bathrooms. Breakfast wasn't impressive at all and neither was menu choices of the restaurant; with hotel being very isolated from any other restaurants I had a hard time choosing food after a few days. On the bright side, diving facilities were outstanding with very professional and friendly staff, and equipment of a good standard. Bottom line: great place if you focus on diving. Not much to do in the area otherwise.

Loved it!

The outdoor showers set in a private garden were amazing and one of my favorite parts of my experience at Atmosphere. The Sanctuary/spa is not be missed - especially the couples massage with the outdoor bath and shower afterwards. We highly recommend a visit - our favorite resort in the Philippines.
