The property is isolated in a really pretty area. Make sure you are aware that the sauna and steam room is not for both genders, so if coming as a couple you can't use them together (unless you ask the staff to set a time aside for you). The included breakfast is very nice. There was some minor room damage on arrival (door handle came off as soon as our tour of our room was completed).

The hotel itself is starting to deteriorate. Paint chipping, dated, definitely in need of some updating. Staff was kind to us but we witnessed a conversation between another guest and a staf

Run down hotel and images provided online are outdated. Staff were friendly, food at the restaurant was good but no fridge in the room and some repairs and updates to main building are needed. No spa services available during our stay, said they were fully booked for massages yet we didn’t see any other guests while there except for one group of 3 which we saw in the restaurant.

We were very satisfied. The resort has an incredible atmosphere of privacy and romance. The service is top-notch. You can feel the attention and care of the staff in every detail. We just booked for one night and were extremely impressed with everything. The resort is beautiful, our room was spacious and comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast in the dining room. Highly recommend!

The suite was massive, extremely comfortable, and very private. It featured a separate seating area with a leather couch and matching ottomans positioned perfectly in front of a large flat‑screen TV and a wall-mounted fireplace. The king-sized bed was soft and comfortable, though the room itself could benefit from some updates, as there were areas where the wallpaper was peeling.

I did notice some cleanliness issues. The mugs hadn’t been washed properly, and the desk, TV remote, and parts of the floor were sticky, as if something had been spilled. The phone and a few other surfaces were also not cleaned well.

The bathroom was spacious, with okay water pressure and reliably hot water.
The restaurant, however, was fantastic. The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavour, with plenty of options to choose from. Reservations are definitely recommended.

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even pointing out different areas of the property as they walked me to my room.

A solid 8 out of 10!!! I’ll definitely book again.

The food was pretty good in the restaurant. The staff were really kind and helpful.
The building looks like it was a really nice place but is starting to show its age and the repairs are not kept up very well. It's small but the wall peper is peeling, the floor was cracking and filled with caulking.

The issues that I had was worth the water. We paid for the king suite with Jacuzzi tub but there was not enough hot water and not hot enough to fill it up. It took an hour to fill and we needed to heat 8 kettles of water to get the water hot enough for our bath.
I understand that it's a rural property and it's on a well and not everything needs to be perfect all the time. What really got to me was the response when I asked for a discount the day after checking out. I would have been happy with just about any discount on the price. I paid the premium for the big room with the tub and I didn't get what was promised. I would have gladly paid the rate of the regular room. Or even a gesture of 50$. But instead, the owners told me to take it up with hotels.com Who then called the hotel to ask about a discount but they refused so here we are.
I was not satisfied with how the owners dealt with my issues. That is why I'm not giving a good review.

The room did not have many of the amenities listed- there was no hot tub, no spa tub, the phone and satellite TV weren't working. The room was a bit neglected and unclean. The staff were difficult to find. Issues during our stay were not resolved and the owner did not seem to care that the room was falsely advertised on hotels.com. Should have spent a bit more money and gone to Ste. Anne, Whispering Springs or another great hotel in the area.

Pros - pretty drive in the country, quiet, free parking, treatment options, size of room, Ayurvedic treatments were perfect and relaxing, staff were polite and professional, food is decent, outside grounds and walking paths are wonderful.

Cons - not accessible for people with disabilities, too many staircases up and down, lounge where you wait for treatment is open to the public so people are walking in and out while I’m in my robe, my room was in the basement at the very end of a scary haunted movie hallway, the door to my room did not close flush against the threshold and you could hear everything both inside and outside of the room, there were an excessive amount of fruit flies in the room; I had to ask for insect spray, there was a walkout deck which was lovely, but being at the very end of the building was scary because there is no security or gate, so anyone can just drive in and access the property. There is no staff on the property at night… not sure what happens if something happens. The fire alarm went off randomly at night. The phone kept randomly ringing with no one on the other end so I had to unplug it. I did not feel safe so I could not relax and sleep overnight. The tv streaming didn’t work except for two channels. Change rooms and Treatment rooms are in the dark basement which is not relaxing unless you’re sitting in the pedicure room that has windows.

My stay at this resort spa was truly amazing from start to finish. The property is gorgeous, peaceful, and well-kept, it was a perfect atmosphere to unwind. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing.
The food was delicious. Each meal was very balanced and wholesome.
The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable.The spa experience was soothing and refreshing as well.
Overall it was a wonderful mini retreat and I’d definitely return and highly recommend this resort spa to anyone looking for relaxation, great service, and a beautiful place to recharge.

A calm, clean and soothing setting. Large property and easily accessible from the parking lot. Pleasant staff and incense infused atmosphere for a calming impact. However, this will not be for you if you are sensitive to scents or perfumes as the common area of this facility is noticeably scented with traditional incense.

I didn’t like the treatments. Overpriced and not at all what I expected. When I asked about the map to walk around it was all wrong. The property is nice because of its surroundings but it’s shame that they don’t do much enhancements - sauna didn’t work, yoga teacher on vacation - no replacement, steam room not hot enough, decounter in the rest lobby leaking water. Public toilets in the general area - rusty taps and dusted, toilets dirty. For the price not at all worthy. There are better places for spa and treatments. The only thing attractive is the surroundings but the staff don’t know about the walks. Food was great.

If you like quiet and want to relax. This is the place for you. It has hot tubs a steam room and Sauna on site. Also a spa to get whatever you like.
The manager was super accommodating when we asked if they had a walk out room and she found one available. It was so great to celebrate our our 20th wedding anniversary.

The dinning area and the kitchen staff were great as well as the majority of the servers. I have dietary allergies and intolerances and the chef came out to see me personally on numerous occasions to make sure that I was well taken care of.

The hotel and spa is family owned which provided a very special and unique experience for me. Being of Indian decent and surrounded by furniture and artifacts from India provided an experience I have not yet had in Ontario.

Unfortunately however, the cleanliness and maintenance of my room, the hallways and other main areas were below my expectations. There were greasy hand prints on the door and patio windows. the remote was sticky and other surfaces were dusty. There was an ongoing leak in the bathroom that damaged the baseboards and between floor tiles. There wasn't regular housekeeping and when I did ask to have those items cleaned in my room, while I was away, they were not. I had to be in the room to ensure that it was cleaned and even had to ask for them to come back to do a thorough job.

The spa service that I had was great. The practitioner was knowledgable and professional. The facilities however were not well maintained. After using the hot tub there was a strange smell coming off of my skin.

Overall, I feel like there is just not enough, well trained dedicated staff, quality checks and circulation of the building by management to clean and maintain this gorgeous space that has such potential.

We were so excited for our girls weekend at the spa! Upon getting there, we were taken toner room , which was downstairs and one of us used a walked! Not good! Never told! Then I went to use the steam room, it was broken, the door handle fell off our hall door so we couldn’t get out, our garbage was overflowing and nobody came to get it for hours and we never received any fresh towels on second day! Boasted free breakfast… nope! To top it off, nobody was there from 9-7 am???? No ice unless you go to front desk! Rooms were nice but run done! Not greatest girls weekend I’ve ever had

Overall a good experience. Not sure I would have felt the same paying full price. Just little things were a bit off. Room wasn’t ready at check in time. Phone in room had no power cord and didn’t work. Coffee station in room hadn’t been replenished. In-room hot tub was nice but took over an hour to fill up. Door didn’t have a secondary lock or chain or anything. Food at the restaurant was pretty good but the veggie options were limited. And while the food was reasonably priced, the wine was incredibly expensive. $75-80 for a bottle of what was probably $18 Yellowtail. Again, mostly little things that might have made an enjoyable experience exceptional… but probably not at the posted rates.

My experience was okay, I spent one night at the hotel and found that the room wasn’t very clean and the hotel seems tired and dated. Simple updates could have spruced the place up. As I walked around the hotel, there were signs that it was not well kept, like broken doors to exit to the deck area and bugs along the windowsill in the yoga room. I tried to get breakfast and was told I had to wait because although the restaurant was open the chef wasn’t in yet, so everyone was sitting around…waiting…I didn’t end up eating there because I had to leave. The grounds are very nice, and there is a nice view to the lake.

This hotel - spa is located on a isolated road and has quiet surroundings.

Our room was large, the bed comfortable but all pillows were too large for the pillow cases and hard.

The reception staff was courteous but did not tell us important information such as breakfast time and most significantly, that we needed to place the card on the door to indicate that we wanted to room to be cleaned.

As it was winter, our outdoor shoes left dirt and salt residue on the entrance floor which led to the closet and bathroom. We had assumed that like other hotels, cleaning would be done every day unless we had specified otherwise.

Breakfast was good and the service efficient.

Unfortunately, the price was set to high for comparable hotels.

We stayed for one night as we needed somewhere to stay on our way somewhere else. I wasn't sure what to expect, as this property is listed as high end and luxurious, but it wasn't quite so. It was clean, and the staff were friendly. The food was also very good but portion sizes could be bigger. I am not a big eater so one slice of toast with my avocado toast breakfast was ok, but for a man it's definitely not enough. The property is a old and charming, but could use some updates, however it was clean. There were 3 outdoor hot tubs but the jets didn't seem to work properly on either of them. For a spa location, that would be a huge downfall for people booking this place for the spa facilities.
One thing I thought was nice, but also odd - when we arrived they handed us each a cup of piping hot tea. Which is a nice idea, except that we still had luggage in our hands and I was actually afraid I would spill it on myself. She then did a quick tour of the property - while we were carrying our luggage AND hot tea! Again a welcome drink is a nice idea, but maybe better to bring the tea to the room after the guests get settled. - all in all a nice stay, thank you for the hospitality!

Stayed a night over thanksgiving weekend and it was a wonderful way to unwind. The staff/owners of the property were extremely attentive. Our room was spotless and the restaurant is absolutely fabulous.

The resort is on a large and remote property with beautifully maintained walking trails. The property also has several hot tubs that are well maintained and available for guest use. Sadly, I didn’t get to try and spa services but certainly will for our next trip.

I definitely recommend this resort as a great option close to toronto to unwind for a weekend.

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was so welcoming and hospitable. Although we only had a quick stay the staff made it very memorable for us and made us feel truly special when celebrating our anniversary. The food and beautiful location are definitely a bonus. My fiancé stated that it was some of the best butter chicken he’s ever had. My only suggestion would be our room could have used an additional dusting. We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay and to try to spa facilities.

Beautiful property, very cottage retreat vibe. The trails were so nice, nice backyard with hot tubs. The food was great, we only had breakfast here. The rooms could use some work, no mini fridge. The room was very stuffy even with the AC. Bathroom was outdated. The tiles looked very old. We’d come back regardless.

Very beautiful property and stay! Warm and friendly hosts. Food was excellent! Lots of tasty options and amazing view. Definitely a hidden gem! Next time I’d love to come back and try the spa services and hot tubs. I would love to come back and would recommend to anyone. The only small negative was that the whole place was bright, fresh and clean but the bathroom was a little tired. But everything else was impeccable!

Small family owned hotel with 3 outdoor hot tubs and beautiful grounds.
Restaurant food was excellent.
Nice rooms although the bathrooms were a bit tired and lacking in toiletries. The room description stated a jetted tub however it was just a normal tub. The pictures of the room(NH comfort room) showed a patio area however these were only applicable to garden suites. All in all we had a lovely time.
