The rooms were comfortable, and clean. I stayed here with my 10 year old daughter for a sporting event in town. Our room had a small fridge and microwave.
We enjoyed the included breakfast. It was small but had everything we needed.
There is nothing to note that is within walking distance, but a very short car ride, and you can get anything you would like.

The room was okay. The lady that checked us in was rude and not very helpful. She was a younger lady. I asked if it was possible to get a room on the main floor so I could park my work vehicle outside the room to clear it the next morning and get it running, as there was a storm hitting that evening. She said I booked a room on the second floor. I said what do you mean I booked a room on the second floor? I just booked a room....I didnt pick the second floor..She followed up with the room type you picked is the second floor.. I said okay, I didn't know that...I was I supposed to know that? I said it didn't say second floor when I booked it.. After that she just stood there as if that was the end of it. The whole time she wasn't very friendly. The last time we were there , only 2 weeks prior a different woman told us that the main floor would cost $10 more. It took my worker who was with me to ask the young woman , after a long awkward pause of just dirty looks going back and forward to ask her can we not just upgrade? She says if I have a room, and that would cost $10 more...I said I don't mind paying $10 more..she finally said I will have to see if one is available.. You have to understand, this hotel was practically empty. Maybe a handful of people were there during this storm. If it was not for this one young lady, my stay would have been really good. All the other staff were very nice. Room was clean, and the breakfast was nice.

However, the water was not draining properly in the sink or in the shower. Breakfast was below average.
The milk went bad as soon as i poured it. Had to throw my coffee.

Also there is no elevator, so had to carry 3 large 23 kg bags up the stairs.

The room was good. But, if you want to get a ground floor you have to pay an extra $10! I found this out when checking in and asking for a wheelchair accessible room. They don’t have an elevator.

I stayed 3 night while attending a course. When checking out I left a jacket in the closet. There was one staff member I had already interacted with, she called to let me know just as I was leaving town because she knew I'd still be there in the course. Their attention to detail was great.

Excellent Stay at this location

I’ve stayed at many Comfort Inn locations, and this one truly stands out. It’s tucked away from traffic, providing a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are spotless, and the staff is friendly and accommodating — one even carried my suitcase upstairs since there’s no elevator. The breakfast area was clean and offered a nice variety of healthy options. An excellent stay overall.

Just feels like the bed and furniture are old and worn out . the bed creaked and the mattress was a little hard unlike the other Comfort Inns we stayed on on our trip . A musty smell in the room . A very old A/C air fan unit . Noisy .
To keep a room up a little money needs to be spent

Very basic, no lift, no pool, no bar or food, taxis wouldn’t pick up from here and out the way. Needs refurbishing- carpets lots of stains, curtains letting thru light, AC very old and unsightly and really noisy.
Clean and staff ok.
We were there due to an admin error with the hotel we ahould have been with, but i wouldn’t go back.

The room is a typical room with all the things needed for an overnight stay. Staff was very nice and welcoming. The issue is (as I write this at 1am with a 7am wake up looming) that the common areas outside where some guests congregate are so close to the rooms that the noise is very loud. We have had to blast the AC fan to drown it out to no avail. Staff have done all they can to curb this and we don’t want to get involved in any confrontations although unfortunately as the night continues and the noise persists this may be an inevitable outcome for another guest with less patience than us. I think situating common areas at the corner of the hotel creates an echo chamber that reverberates through the parking area and into the rooms.

We will not be back to this property and I wish I would’ve stayed home and just woken up extra early to drive out to Coburg for our morning event…I would’ve slept a lot better and $400 richer.

Unit I was in needs an upgrade. Room had a very bad smell almost musty and wet possibly from the carpet and couch. Toilet is very low. The bed was comfortable and provided the rest we needed.

The elevator happened to be out of commission but only had to climb one set of stairs, and honestly, that's not that much of an inconvenience. Also it is probably already fixed anyway. Great easy clean place to stay with the family.

Good option if you drive.

This is a good hotel for 1 or 2 nights, just to sleep, there is no much to do in the hotel or the near areas.
The great: staff. The lady who works in the breakfast room is super welcoming, sweet, attentive. The lady in the reception is very nice and welcoming too.
Breakfast was pretty good.
The not so great: this place requires you to drive! Its far from the downtown area, we didnt drive so we relied in Ydrive app (similar to Uber) note Uber does not work in Cobourg, so make sure if you do not drive, download this app before arriving. The taxis are pricey and it takes a long wait when you call one! If you drive: parking in this hotel is free and plentiful.
My room was clean, but when i entered the area after reception, there was a terrible stench of urine.
In general: room was comfortable, washroom was super clean, AC worked well.
The best in the hotel is definitely the staff. Top notch!

Didn’t like that the mattresses didn’t have the full mattress protectors just a cover that hooked on with elastics and the bed was one of the worst mattresses I’ve ever slept on. The floor would have been more comfortable.

Closest exterior exit to our room was blocked by snow and the exit that was utilized from the opposite side of the hotel was never locked or key carded over night. We checked at midnight and it was still accessible without a key card from the outside. I used a coat hanger to secure our room. Overall not a great experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and professional. However that is the only positive to our stay. Room heat and cool was loud and unmanageable. Air vent in bathroom was very loud. Just not impressed.

I was disappointed in our experience here. To begin, the entrance was undefined- perhaps it’s under construction? But ideally there would have been more signs. Rooms were not ready upon arrival shortly after check-in time, and there was no provision of an estimated time. We returned an hour later and after some confusion, it turned out to be not ready again. We left to our engagement and returned at 9:00 pm - the room was ready - and was ‘fine’, albeit old. It felt from our experience, however, that there was little care or concern our experience. I teach in a hospitality program - and for me there are some teachable moments here.

Friendly front desk. Good basic hotel with bar fridge and microwave in each room and a good selection of food for a complete full breakfast included, plus free coffee and lemon water 24/7 (in lobby). Unfortunately, there is no elevator and the stairs are open cement slab design (not safe for small children and difficult to climb with luggage). Ask for a ground floor room, if you have mobility issues or are travelling with children. Halls and room carpet could be cleaner.
