Great staff, spacious room in business class. Unfortunately, we experienced cleanliness issues in the hotel lounge. Also, the chairs need a good cleaning or be replaced.
Lovely staff throughout! Helpful and friendly.

The hotel needs a good renovation in my opinion. Our room was fine aside from plumbing issues. Both the tub and the sink in the bathroom were very slow to drain. The toilet would not flush properly.

The hallway carpets were stretched out and bunching up which is a tripping hazard.

The hotel is in need of a serious upgrade. The hot tub wasn't working, the restaurant was not open in the evening, the breakfast was extremely minimal. Carpets are crumpled and thread bare - it feels tired and needs upkeep.

I will find a different hotel next time we stay in Red Deer, and would not recommend this one.

Overall, this hotel is good value. The location and grounds are great, and I was pleased to find the room very clean upon arrival. The staff members were all incredibly kind and welcoming, and the breakfast provided was a solid start to the day.
That being said, the property is definitely showing its age. Our room had broken closet door handles and sink stoppers that didn't work. We called maintenance about the sinks, and while I appreciate that they sent someone up very quickly, the \"fix\" was simply removing the stoppers completely.
Ultimately, this is a good place to stay with excellent staff and clean rooms, as long as you go in knowing the facilities are on the older side.

We booked 2 separate rooms, but both rooms' microwaves didnt work (we asked for one room to be fixed and they replaced it), the hot filtered water on the floor by the ice machine didnt work. The bedding/linen had stains and ripped spots. The AC wasn't very strong even on the lowest setting. The showers water pressure isn't great and the ventilation in the bathroom is really low. 2 friends who went to the pool (rooms advise there are pool towels) had to wait about 15 min to find someone to ask for towels (pool section was completely out), took about 20 min before they got any.

Had nothing but issues as soon as I got to the hotel I found there was no hot water in my room. They moved me to another room where it turns out same problem. Went down to the hot tub even that was cold since it is run off the same pump. I was told it would be fixed the following day which it was not so they moved me again to finally have hot water. Then after talking to the most unprofessional manager I have ever met I was told I would get a discount on check out day. Come check out day there was no discount as promised so they called the same manager to which she offered 10$ off each of the two nights which I found to be unacceptable especially after she said it would be taken care of. In the end I got 20$ off each of the two nights. Would not stay here again.

Room was filthy / stained. Smelt like sewage. Leaks from the roof landed in my wife’s eye and the staff was less than helpful / did not seem concerned. Great location and the hotel has potential, but it’s ran terribly therefore it is suffering immensely. Management needs to care more about properly training staff and maintaining the building. No staff could locate a medical kit in the building as well.

The room was very comfortable- maybe starting to show some age and wear. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. Wooden cutlery - tell me it isn’t so - I think we can move to plastic cutlery at least. The selection of hot food was good. The muffins were terrible- I’m not even sure how to describe them! And no selection for that type of food. Carrot cake is not breakfast food. I think there’s plenty of room for improvement.

It is a central location for local things, stores, shops, food. The downside is according to front desk their systems dont talk with Expedia, they lost your reservation because it was booked 3rd party, they tried giving us the wrong room, the carpets in the halls are a tripping hazards, no access to the gym, the jacuzzi in the room didn't hold water and after use would turn on by it's self. The breakfast was ok and buffet style.the elevators were broken.the AC was super loud in the room, could hear water constantly running in the bathroom. Out door looks like it had been kick in a few times

The elevators are a mess. Be prepared to take the stairs. The room didn’t get very cool at night even with the temperature set to the lowest setting.

Breakfast. Oh my. On Saturday we got there 25 mins after “open” and they had to come unlock the door for us. None of the food was ready and the pancake machine wouldn’t work. On Sunday the lineup was half way through the restaurant, kids were running everywhere, long wait for items to be replaced and there was limited seating so we had to sit in the lobby.

The room we stayed in was an upgrade from a standard to business class. Wonderful surprise. We met two really good waitresses Monica and Rowena in the lounge where we had the best ribs I've ever had!! This is a extremely well built hotel. Soundproof rooms, so quiet. We will be staying here again! Highly recommend.

Hot tub was fairly small and needed cleaning, as there was quite a bit of sand in it coming off the waterfall feature. Disappointing that the sauna room was out of service, as was the shower for the pool.

Room key didn’t work for a full day so you had to get let in by staff, no ac in our room so we had to get moved, fridge leaked water so they brought us another one. That didn’t work either. No wifi for most of our stay. Restaurant food was terrible and service was slow. Elevators were slow and didn’t work sometimes. We used the stairs allot. Steam room didn’t work the whole time we stayed at the hotel. The free breakfast was awful. I understand it’s not going to be a 5 star meal but the food available was awful and the selection was very small. Would never stay there again even for free.

Front desk receptionists were very friendly, but my check in was not that smooth. I had to wait over an hour before entering my room after checking in. When I finally entered my room, it smelled like stinky socks! I noticed the sofa was visibly stained (maybe that's where the smell came from).

Being claustrophobic, I like to open all the curtains so natural light can come in, but I couldn't because all the windows were boxed in where neighbors can see each other.

At night, it was very noisy up to 11 pm because children were running up and down the hall racing, screaming, and yelling at each other! I can also hear and feel loud thumping sounds from children running wildly above. It was very stressful when I had to sleep early for my marathon the next day. I had to turn on the TV and cover my head in order to doze off.

The restaurant food was awful - I would not recommend it if you are preparing for a marathon the next day. Too much bad seasoning that can ruin my hydration and not enough protein for the meal portion and price.

Breakfast was very basic, nothing special.

We were given like no towels. 2 bath towels and 2 face cloths. Our chrome cast on tv wasn’t working. Asked everyday and kept being told someone would come fix it. No one did. The breakfast is very limited selections. And not good. Orange juice watered down. Coffee gross. Bread stale. The hotel restaurant on site is disgusting. The wings were burnt and the nachos had like 4 piece of dry ground beef on them. Only good thing about this hotel is the price.

Chromecast was not working for full three day stay even though they said service company was called.
No online room service menu and taco plate was so basic we should not have ordered it.
No bathrobes in room to access pool/sauna in.

Very poor experience at this hotel. When we got to our room we tried to use the shower. This was an accessible room and the floor of the shower was just a continuation of the rest of the bathroom floor with no barrier. The drain was not working properly. When the shower was turned on the water began to pool on the floor. Within minutes the water had reached the toilet. If we had left the shower on for longer it would have flooded the whole bathroom and moved into the carpeted area. We called the front desk and they told us they would send someone… no one came. We were unable to shower that night. Next day we stopped at the front desk after breakfast (which by the way is nothing like the pictures of eggs Benedict and omelettes you see in the lobby and on the website). We asked for another room. They told us nothing was available. We wanted to check out early but They told us they would send someone to fix the drain. Someone came and looked at the drain. He said he needed a part to fix and would come back. We waited and waited and waited. No one came. By 5 pm we concluded he was probably not coming back. We were still unable to shower so we left the hotel early. We were not the only ones with issues at this hotel. 2 of the 3 times I was at the front desk someone was asking to be moved to another room or asking the for something to be fixed… the other time there wasn’t anyone but me at the front desk

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The in-room refrigerator made an odd rhythmic howling noise. The receptionist took 25 minutes to check me in despite my handing her my booking confirmation email from a month ago. The waiter delivered the wrong dinner order and then the hostess said I would have to pay for it because the computer would not allow her to adjust the price. When I refused, she offered me an alcoholic drink or a dessert, neither of which I wanted. She finally relented and charged me for the meal that I had ordered. She was not courteous despite the fact that it was her error. I was disappointed that the complimentary breakfast which consisted of cold scraps of eggs in the corner of the serving tray and hard overcooked tater tots. The sausage was the only tasty part of the meal. I would not recommend your hotel.

The breakfast was really good and the rooms were very nice and clean. It is also in a great location for where we needed to be for our trip and was nice and quiet. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because we chose this hotel as it had a hot tub and steam room. Even when we arrive they told us where the “hot tub and pool” were. But 2 items of these items were not working and the pool was very cold. Other than this we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. And would still recommend it to others.

Great amenities but they were not all in operation.
Amazing features in the king room with jacuzzi that I rented. The couch in the room had a gross stain on it and there was nowhere to put clothing or luggage on stand.
The pool was great with warm water, the hot tub and steam room were both out of order when I went in. The fitness facility is the highlight of the amenities. The breakfast buffet was typical of any hotel.

Hotel is aging and not being upgraded or taken care of now. Rooms could be cleaned better-bathroom was dirty & the whole floor. Beds were comfortable though! Quiet at least which was welcomed! Staff are friendly until you ask for something then they become super rude and totally unhelpful. Would NOT recommend the West 67 grill! Unless you wanna serve yourself. Breakfast was not good-meat soaked in grease and watery scrambled eggs.
The hot tub is great! But the rocks are falling apart causing a sand like feel in the bottom and the entire pool floor liner is lifting making it a tripping hazard. Don’t know if we would stay again, only booked it because it was cheap

The breakfast food was dried out and plain. The food at the restaurant was served cold and flavourless. The order was wrong two times and the excuse to these issues was that he was new. It was one of the worst meals I have had.
The day prior to check in they informed me that my room was unavailable due to maintenance issues and I was given two adjoining rooms to accomodate my stay. The following day when I went to check in they informed me that I do not have the adjoining rooms any longer and now had my suite back. However, because I had one extra bed with the adjoining room, I had brought my nephew for the weekend. We were now with one less bed. They were unable to rectify this issue as they informed me they were fully booked and had given the two rooms to someone else within the 24 hour time frame. The price for the room was good, however the hotel is dated and the beds were very hard. I would suggest that you eat elsewhere if you were to stay here.
