The elevator was down so the desk person advised I would be placed on the second floor. When I advised of my disability which prevents me from carrying my luggage to the second floor I was advised that the first floor was reserved for older guests. I then had to provide my travel card that states I am disabled before I was taken seriously. The hotel wasn’t overly busy my trip was during the week. I also told the desk I was in down for a funeral prior to all of this. The room smelled strange as well.

When we arrived, the desk clerk, a young man, did not greet us. Simply walked out of the back room and to the computer. I was the one who had to initiate the interaction. I noticed while standing at the counter there was a note with a phone number to call if no one was at the desk. The note left the impression that you would have to wait for someone to arrive. Seemed a little odd that someone would not be manning the desk at all times. The desk clerk then informed us that the elevator was out of order and that we were on the second floor. For us, it was not an issue, just an inconvenience. During our 2-night stay it was not repaired nor did it seem to ever be worked on. As for our room, it was clean. However both the body soap and shampoo dispensers were completely empty. I went to the desk and was handed 2 new bottles. One shampoo and one hand soap. When I corrected the gal at the desk, she went ahead and got me the body soap but said they were the same product. It was a little difficult to know who the employees were. They all seemed to be wearing rock concert or alcoholic beverage themed t-shirts so they appeared to look more like hotel patrons. The area does not offer much in the way of restaurants unless you want to drive 15 minutes away. Based on our experience we will be choosing a different hotel and area the next time.

The room I was given was right next to the lobby and when I get in the room it looked like someone had already been in there. The toilet was not clean. Before I got settled, the clerk came & told me he could give me a room further from the lobby. It looked like it had been cleaned, but there were wet wash cloths sitting on the 2 soap dishes is the shower like they got interrupted while cleaning or forgot to take them out of the shower when they finished cleaning it.

I would not recommend this property. The pool (which was the main reason I booked this hotel) was out of order. The elevators were all out of order too, so I had to carry my bag to the third floor. It is advertised as a “non-smoking” facility, but my room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Given this poor experience, I asked Expedia to reach out to the property on my behalf regarding a refund. Expedia attempted to contact this property for a week, but told me that they were unable to get in touch with anyone. I also sent an email to the general manager and have not received a response.

The staff was nice and the room was clean. The elevator was broken, so we had to use the stairs which was not ideal for my mother-n-law who has mobility issues. The pool was not operational and we purposely chose this hotel because it had a pool so our toddler was not trapped in a hotel room for the weekend. The beds are hard as a rock. I would never stay here again as it shows they are not able to keep up on their property’s amenities.

Room was dirty There was pubic hairs in the sink The power was out for 2 hours after I checked in and the pool was not up and running like the booking said And They would not refund any of my money when I asked to leave within a couple hours after checking in. Would not recommend this hotel and hotels.com was not helpful in getting me refunded even though I paid for the insurance. Highly disappointed with both the hotel and hotels.com

Only elevator was broken the entire trip. All three people were over 60 years old, this was an issue wi
with luggage. Nobody on staff could help us carry the luggage up the stairs. Staff was able to move the 3rd floor room to the second floor with the rest of us. We were scheduled for two rooms and the staff gave us a third room. Pool looked like it had water issues, carpets were worn. Couch in one room was torn. Rooms were clean.

First room we were given had torn curtains and needed to be swept. Elevator was broken all three days. Sign on door to stairs said to bring dirty towels to front desk to exchange for new ones. Never saw anyone from housekeeping. Only positive was exceptional service from breakfast lady.

BEWARE: the front desk only checks ID when you check in. Another hotel guest who was drunk according the hotel staff was given a key to my room without the front desk checking his id. If they had taken the time to check they would have realized he had given them the incorrect room number. Hotel management has not bothered to contact me to apologize or offer an explanation as to why this happened.
The next morning I went to speak to the manager but they were unavailable but Connie, at the front desk was kind and did her best to comfort me. My husband and I have stayed here several times without issues but we will not be back. It is bad enough that it happened but to have no response from management is ridiculous.

The only good experience that I had was cleanliness. I stayed there to just get a break from traveling to work. The ac didn’t work properly. There was no shampoo, soap, or conditioner in the bathroom so I went to work the next day in construction with just a rise off basically. What I used to love about Best Western. The breakfast was always better and it is the same as any cheap hotel now. A lot of it was tasteless. When I left I grabbed deodorant so I could somewhat smell decent after no proper shower. I told them about the showers and they didn’t even offer to give the deodorant free or give a discount. Just said they will tell the managers about it and didn’t even apologize…

The woman working housekeeping at the breakfast area was the brightest spot of our stay. She was great. Otherwise this hotel was unsafe and I wouldn't stay there again. We got stuck in the elevator multiple times and the lights were completely turned off on our children while they were in the pool. These are lawsuit level issues

Safety concern with malfunctioning elevator. Was stuck on elevator twice. Come to find out the staff would reset the elevator and claim that is was fixed. Other families experienced the same situation.
Safety concern with turning lights off in pool area when there were children in the pool. I had just left the pool area to go to the desk to get more pool towels. Minutes after I returned all of the lights turned off while there were kids in the pool with no warning.
I fear that there could be a serious incident in the future at this hotel.

Hotel served its purpose for the night. Front desk was nice but he double as repairman cause the elevator was faulty. Got stuck and it sounded like the breaks were angry. We got out (it returned us to the first floor) and the front desk guy was trying to fix it. Quite a bit of hair in the hotel room, the shower and bed sheets. The fridge had mold in it. The STAFF! We loved the staff and all of our interactions with them! They’re the most friendly humans :) the coffee machine in the lobby is also super fancy and I had the BEST hotel coffee I’ve ever had (and that’s a huge compliment because I’m super picky with my coffee). We felt super safe and comfortable here for our quick 2 night visit over the weekend. Thank you and we will be back!!!

Smelled awful. Like bleach over vomit. No soap just shampoo turned backwards in the dispenser! Got violently ill afterwards and missed an important event. No one at front desk when I needed them, just a note with no phone number. Was afraid to try the breakfast. Left after one night of 2-night reservation.

Elevator not working/ room directly next to stairs

We decided to stay a night here before hitting the road after dropping our daughter off to SIUE. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the elevator was out of order, which means we had to use the stairs every time. Not only was the elevator out of order but our room was directly next to the stairs, so all night we were disturbed by everyone who entered or exited the second floor. The door closing was not quiet so we heard everyone come and go. Due to not getting any rest we decided to check out early and head back home.

Overall the hotel was very clean, my husband did enjoy the breakfast provided.

Keep the “keep out” hanger on your door

The elevator was out, but I was given an opportunity to back out of the reservation if that was a problem. My main issue with my stay is that an employee started to strip and turn over my room around 10:15 AM, before I the check out time, during a five-minute absence while I was taking the first load of luggage down to my car. I had taken the “keep out” hanger off my door, but the implications of stripping the bed on the last day are that I’m no longer welcome in the room. My belongings were still in evidence, which should have made the employee back out. I will not stay in this hotel again.

Booked late and wasn't the most accommodating there was an error with the app and they couldn't fix the problem easily. After an hour, refund, and patience we got to book the room at full price after 12AM for the toilet to not flush which seemed to be a theme as 2 other rooms had Plungers in trash bags outside their doors.
