Nasty little man one morning at the desk. Older, sour. The rest of th time front was staffed by helpful professionals. Property is very old but well maintained. PLease note: the Amadeus is right on the main drag from the train station. These is howver, a nice little garden at the enter of the property. Very convenient if you're using Venice S. Maria station.

My partner and I travelled for three nights and stayed at the Amadeus hotel. We were afraid as it is pretty close to the train terminal and I had heard it was not a great location. but what a plus. Location was great. Wrong it was perfect! The staff was friendly and informative. The breakfast was exactly what we needed for a whole day out of touring. Many choices. Room was not too small for the standard room we chose and decor was as expected. Rooms looked better in person than in pictures. Bathroom was ok with plenty of hot water. They even provided a breakfast to the go because we checked out at 6:30 am. Wil recommend roe a short stay.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we were satisfied with the hotel and I would stay there again if I wanted to stay in this area.

Close to the the end of the grand canal, which makes it easy to get to a cab or bus to go to the airport. The hotel even arranged a porter to pick up our luggage and a cab to drive us to the airport, which was very helpful. Super nice hotel staff.

Breakfast was included. Nice breakfast - eggs, bacon, toast, plain yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, cappuccino/latte machine, juices, and sweet treats (chocolate croissants.)

The only downside:
- The pillows were too thin (we did not go ask for more pillows as we were there only one night).
- Shower located in the middle of the bathtub which was kind of unusual and not so easy to use.
- We were there on a Friday night and there was loud music playing outside that resulted in bass thumps in hotel room until about 11:00 - then it was nice and quiet after that.

Breakfast, staff, & location were amazing! Prime area. It was quite loud with everyone walking around ajd chatting since were facing the street, but we expected this. The toilet has some issues flushing (you had to try about 10 times for it to work) but not a huge deal. The only rough part was not having air conditioning - we didn't anticipate it to be so hot outside during our trip so there's nothing we could've done about that. But if you plan to visit in the summer time and need AC - this might not be the right call for you. Overall, we would stay again!

Check in was smooth and welcoming. Great accommodations with a great buffet breakfast included, that was fully loaded with all you’ll need. We were within walking distance to good restaurants, shopping and transportation. This was a plus because we didn’t plan to rent a car and we would be riding the train through Italy. The room was small but cozy as it seems to be with most local hotels in Italy. I highly suggest booking a suite with a balcony! The hotel ambiance was dark but warm, with a classic Italian feel. The one elevator is compact, only accommodating 2-3 persons depending on individual built and luggage. Would definitely book a return stay. We really liked the amenities, cleanliness and convenience provided for our first introduction to Italy from another country.

The photos are not what you get these rooms are so banged up it was unbearable.. the garden we went to seek refuge but smelted like urine .. we left a night early . The breakfast if you enjoy eating garbage and don’t care about your intake sure this “stuff” I guess will do .. we went out to eat.. overall so many other choices use them .

What you see in the photos is NOT what you get ! Then you go to find somewhere to sit and relax ….the garden they show smells like urine . The buffet sub-par the rooms are so banged up it’s shameful .. I’ve traveled extensively and this place was horrible !!

The communal areas of the hotel are nice. When you enter, it feels welcoming. However, the room was quite run down, and desperately needs a make over. Furniture dated and dirty. Air con not working. Balcony dirty. Also, have an ice machine but no water machine. Seems silly. Breakfast was OK but not great. Not much choice and nothing special. Outside patio area was very relaxing and nice. As the room is the main feature of a hotel, I would not stay here again.

The hotel gave me a single room although I had booked a double room. They refused to change the room immediately because they just had superior double rooms available and no normal ones anymore. So they took the decision to downgrade me for 1 night and I am sure I would have stayed in this little room if I had not complained (the shower was the size of a cruise boat shower in a normal cabin). Not at all what is expected from a 4 stars hotel double room ! And not at all what they show on their pictures of what a double room looks like !
I got a nice double room the second day but no internet at all in the room. I told them several times about this and they did nothing. I had to buy an eSIM card to access internet. Not cool !
I guess it is their revenge because I called Expedia right at the beginning and they were furious about it - Just an advice : solo travelers if you book a double room avoid this hotel.

The only positive with the hotel is the location. 4 minute walk from the train station and 10 minute walk from the bus station. Lovely shops and restaurants nearby. Spar and Coop convenience shops close to hotel.

Nice hotel near the train station. Walkable to almost all tourist sites. Check in was easy. Room was comfortable but had no black out curtains. There were shutters. But do not know if they were just ornamental. We could not pull them closed and they got stuck halfway. Hot breakfasts was included. They had a nice garden courtyard. Room cleaned everyday. They have a partner hotel, Principe, which we also stayed at.

The only negative thing was it was first week of may and the air conditioning still wasnt turned on so the room was hot even at night. The only solution was to open a window in the washroom. Too noisy to use the one in bedroom.

Had a lovely stay at Hotel Amadeus from 26 May -29 May 2025. At check-in all info was provided about check-out, breakfast, wifi, etc. The room was beautiful and large and had 2 Juliet balconies overlooking the hotels lovely garden where you can also sit for breakfast. The room also had a balcony with table and chairs so you could sit outside. The bathroom only downside was the water from the sink goes everywhere.
Breakfast was plentiful. However, would recommend labels for each item and to say if it was suitable for vegetarians or not.
The hotel is near the train station which was very convenient. I would recommend and stay again. I'm not sure why other people are complaining in their reviews. I had a lovely stay in a lovely and beautiful room.

Avoid at all costs. A/C didn’t work. Bath tub is only about 16” across width wise so you have to be a contortionist to be able to shower. Bed is saggy from being too old. Bath room has black mold. Only saving grace is the location is close to the train station. Did i mention that the A/C didn’t work? Room got very hot in the afternoon and through the night so it was a very miserable experience.

1 night in Venice

Room was very clean but a little tired looking. Shower was brilliant but could do with a hook on the wall to attach the smaller head. Hairdryer was not very powerful at all.

Overall had a good 1 night stay with a nice breakfast in the morning…the whistling member of staff at 7:50am however was not a good wake up call, although good to know he was enjoying work!

Really close to train station and central in Venice. The AC was broken for the first day of our stay during a heatwave which was not ideal but they apologized and fixed it by the next day. The room could use some updates/ fixes but the main issue was the bathroom had considerable amounts of mold. While I understand that Venice is known for flooding, it was still a problematic amount of mold which hadn’t been cleaned out in clearly a while. Kitchen and front desk staff were mostly very nice.

Great location in relation to the St. Lucia train station.

Rooms, need some modernisation, but probably similar to local standards. Not sure how this is 4 star as there are limited facilities at the hotel and in the room (Venice is the star attraction right?!)

Air con was faulty in our first room, which I would have expected to have been discovered by staff when they made it up in the first place, and the alternative room offered the air conditioning was poor.

Breakfast was good - the pancake machine is a must.

Great stay, loved the fact of Amadeus being an old fashioned hotel, travel in time, would definitely stay there again. reception clerk was a bit moody but nice, helped us with check in swiftly! Breakfast waiter so knowledgeable about Italian poets. Overall we had a wonderful stay! Delicious breakfast!

Advantage is 5 mins walk from station but rest of all part is far ( walkable though).
Don't fall on the room rates, Most staff are terrible esp front desk. Breakfast is below average.
Venice being a small area may be they are getting business.

Great trip to Venice. Hotel should be 3 star. 1st room dark and small but they changed us to an ok room where we could at least open a window. Nail clippings on floor, mould in bathroom. Everything needs a facelift. Breakfast good. Garden nice but again needs some work. Great area, near railway, busses and vaporetto. Walking distance to most places.

poor ventilation. i was initially given a room that didnt have any windows and AC was not working that it was suffocating. the manager initially offered a fan but was then kind enough to give me another room with windows but after an initial mild protest. but the fact that there were rooms without windows and fan and a non working Air conditioner is scary

Exactly what I expected for the price point. Clean, easy to find, close to train station and bus depot. Breakfast included and very good with good options.
The hotel for us was well situated in venice. Not downtown, but I didn’t want to push suitcases too far. Delightful walk to main attractions.
I would absolutely stay here again.
