This place exceeded our expectations. We were welcomed by kind and helpful staff. The location was perfect for walking around to see many temples and to get food. The pool although very small and cool was perfect at the end of day to cool quickly. The room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent.

We have been travelling for 3 months staying in 3 or 4 star hotels. This is a budget hotel with clean comfortable rooms and a 5 star al a carte breakfast, with super friendly helpful staff. It’s centrally located, so perfect for exploring. Staff will book day trips and give a 10% discount. Pool clean but small (just 2 sun loungers) guest with mobility issues will need to request a room on the lower floors as no lift. Overall exceptional value and a wonderful stay highly recommended

We loved our stay at Chedi Home. The staff were amazing. They helped us with taxis, booking tours, getting into a spa last minute, and our laundry. The breakfast was amazing! They had the best orange juice in all of Thailand in our opinion. The lunch and dinner menu at the hotel were also very good and cheap. The pool is small but cute. The room was perfect we had two full bathrooms and two queen beds. The place was very clean, the staff were always cleaning. We felt safe leaving our valuables in the room and safety deposit box. The location was great, we were only a few minutes away from the night baazar, the spa, and the bus station. The restaurant across the lane way was excellent and cheap. We have nothing bad to say about this place

Good Little Home

This is a very nice place to spend some time. The staff is wonderful, will cook you items not on the menu and at prices that are nothing short of terrific. They will do anything they can to make you happy. I enjoyed just sitting by the pool and reading. It is not fancy, it is practical, quaint and economical.

We stayed at Chedi Home for 5 nights in Jan’20 with our family of 5. The family room has two comfortable king size beds, plus we got a foldaway bed for extra cost. The rooms are compact as are the bathrooms small, but functional and not much storage space, but they are very clean and well serviced. The pool is also small, with only a couple of sun lounges.

The location is excellent with just a short maybe 500m walk to reach the old town one way and a 1km walk the other way to get to the night market, every night. Any shortcomings of the facilities is more than offset by the friendliness and service of the staff and the amazing breakfasts. Can’t possibly eat all of the food (usually sticky rice, fruit plate, choice of cooked breaky plate plus drink). Actually, we’ve traveled a fair bit and I’ll say this is the best breakfast that we’ve had included anywhere.

The staff are always smiling and helpful, “Jar” was excellent at organising tours for us, with all tours booked via the hotel at 10% discount. If you can do without the luxury pool, thoroughly recommend the experience with Chedi home and put the savings on accommodation to tours and experiences.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was absolutely amazing, everyone was so kind and friendly. The hotel itself was excellent - super clean, comfortable, has a pool, a gym, etc. and it had a really great atmosphere. The free morning breakfast was delicious and included a hot meal, lots of fresh fruit, and beverages. The location is great, very close to big landmarks and easy to access the airport. The value for price was fantastic as well. Really no complaints, we definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if we have the chance.

We had adjoining room with my mom. This place was amazing! The cleanliness, service and breakfast were over the top. I do wish the air con was a bit cooler but overall I loved it here. We keep comparing all other hotels to this place because it was so nice. Pool was cool and refreshing, iced lattes were yummy, location was also nice. Thanks for a great stay in Chiang Mai!

We had another fantastic stay at Chedi Home, it was wonderful having a room on the ground floor, the room was spotlessly clean and quiet, complimentary drinking water was very appreciated. I think it would be good to have 2 teacups provided as there is a kettle. There was one cup but 2 of us, no problem as we just asked for a second one.
Complimentary toiletries are really nice and the breakfasts are truly amazing! The food is fresh and plentiful, fresh fruits and thai desserts as well as choices of cooked and uncooked. You will not find a better breakfast in Chiang mai!!
The location is perfect for us, easy stroll into the Old City, cafes everywhere, transport on your door step. Thank you everyone for another fantastic stay, can't wait to return!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff was fantastic, the food especially breakfast was amazing, the downstairs area was very relaxing in the midst of city life. We found our room to be rather small, it was tight with two adults with two full sized suitcases. Also the walls seemed to be paper thin, we could hear everyone walking past our room and our neighbors in their room. Made for some difficult sleep A couple of nights.

Do not stay in room 1116 !! It has doorway linking your hotel room to the nextdoor hotel room with little to no sound proofing. I could hear the Spanish guests entire conversations and they were not speaking loud. When they arrived home late at night, I woke up and when I woke up early in the morning, they (no doubt) woke up with me. Other than this the breakfast and the location was great.

Great location, easy to get to the old city walls and the Sunday walking street market. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was by far the best we had on our travels! Fresh smoothies and a good selection of fresh tropical fruit served with a hot food option. They could get rid of all the plastic straws with all the drinks though.

It was nice having the small pool to take a dip after a day walking around.

Only downside was there was building work going on whilst we were there which meant it was quite noisy during parts of the day and spoilt the relaxing atmosphere.

We would definitely return!

Loved Chedi Home Chiang Mai. Stayed for 3 nights initially and went back for a 3rd night for a quick stopover back in Chiang Mai. Small, quaint hotel that is walking distance to the old town. Also, plenty of shops and eateries on the same street. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit and coffee. Would definitely go back to stay at Chedi Home.

Their staff, breakfasts & the pool = wonderful.

They have managed to jam a lot into a very small space. The pool is small but an absolute god send. Breakfast comes with a generous amount of good quality fruit and great fresh drinks like mango smoothies, the coffee is not good though.
The staff are excellent and saved us a significant amount of money by organizing a tuktuk for us instead of an overpriced tour.

Breakfast is the strongest point to stay at Chedi (pronounced as Jedi). Very yummy main course plus a wide range of drinks included. Bicycle is free to use and pretty convenient to get around, as I do not have a motorbike license. The downside is it may be too popular to book with my compliment posted here. 😂

Upon arrival until the time we left we couldn't have been more happier with Chedi home! Very well cared for and maintained hotel with modern fittings and grounds opposite a beautiful Chedi.
The girls on the reception counter we always smiling friendly and welcoming to any of my silly questions and very helpful! The included set breakfast from the menu was good quality and made to order and was more than I can eat ...and I'm greedy haha!
I strongly recommend this hotel next time I am in Chiang Mai I would certainly stay here again with out a second thought! ...well done Chedi Home! :)

The Home was close to old town

I enjoyed the location of Chedi Home as it was very close to old town and several very nice restaurants. It was also a short walk to the river.
Unfortunately, the room itself did not look like any of the pics on their website and you can hear people coming and going and not just on your floor but from other floors as there is no carpet in the hotel and sounds travel quite loudly.
Also, I wasn't pleased that there was a hole in the middle of my hotel room door.

The location was just out of the city walls and within walking distance to most things. The Hotel is quirky and pretty, beds firm but very comfortable and breakfast was amazing. Tucked away from hustle and bustle but only a block from the main road. Lots of restaurants and stores close by. The pool is open til 10pm but can be a bit bigger. Staff is very friendly. The workers at the reception desk speak very good english. Their free breakfast is excellent.

If you book activities/trips through hotel, you get 10% off. We booked our zipline experience at Jungle Flight with them.

Overall a decent little place with no frills. Breakfast was not bad, but the room layout was very strange and there were no washcloths to be had. We stayed in the corner room overlooking the road on the 3rd floor and it was very noisy. Traffic picked up around 4am and the gaps in the deck door let a lot of noise through. But, had great prices for the room and beers.

Delicious breakfast - local fresh fruits and changing desserts everyday + wonderful drinks such as a whole coconut or fruit smoothie.
Unfortunately the pool was under maintenace for the first few days.
Very small pool area - not ideal for privacy.
Not the best location - a few minutes walk from the old city walls however a much longer walk to sights such as temples and markets.
Room was small but comfortable.

Nice stay with a few minor issues

When we entered the room it was nice but not 22 square meters as advertised - it was a small corner room about 12 square meters. We asked to be moved but the person at reception explained it was the last room left. However we were moved the following night and the room was bigger. I think the booking websites should differentiate between the different sized standard rooms as they were all different sizes (we stayed in 3 'standard' rooms while we were there). Negatives: the shower pressure is light and doesn't get too hot. The sound proofing is bad as it was very noisy outside our room with babies screaming and doors slamming. Positives: The bed is comfortable and the breakfast is excellent - all cooked to order and it included a fruit platter and dessert. Overall I would say it's very good value for money because of this included breakfast.

This is a great budget hotel in an excellent location. Within walking distsnce to night market, warorot markets, Tha Pae Gate and riverside. Staff are friendly and helpful and an excellent breakfast with eggs your way, bacon, sausage, toast, a selection of spreads, more fruit than you can eat and drink of your choice uncluding coffee, fresh juice or smoothie. Rooms were clean and spacious, only downside is the hard beds, but same as rest of Asia. Would definitely recommend.

This was a charming place to
Stay. I was there about 12 nights. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The two ladies at the front desk were the best. They spoke English well. About a 15 min. Walk to the night market and walking Bazaar. Very quiet. Only drawbacks no elevator. I was on the fourth floor. Well, my legs were stronger by the time I left so I guess that's a perk.

The bed was large but very firm, bordering on uncomfortable. I was not able to sleep on my side without hurting my hip. There was also no curtain between the shower and toilet, but you get used to it. They provide free water and have the best breakfast that is included. I highly recommend the fruit plate! They also book tours for you with a 10% discount.

Great staff, food, location and facilities

I had a long stay at Chedi Home and it was fantastic. The staff were always friendly and accommodating, the food was great and the hotel was in great condition with good WiFi. The location is close the the Night Market, Walking Street market, the nightly North gate street food. Tuk Tuks are close by and there is always Uber as well.

Wonderful breakfast/staff

We stayed for three nights at the Chedi Home. The location of the hotel was great and the food for breakfast was even better! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. There was unlimited supply of water and if you wanted to relax in the rooms they had good movie channels in English. Staff was helpful in planning excursions. Now, to be CRITICAL. The pool was a lot smaller than shown in the pictures, rooms/bathrooms were a little small/outdated, bed covers were slightly dirty upon arrival but when asked to change them they did it without hesitation. Overall, we were happy with our stay at Chedi Homeo and would stay there again.

Loved it!

When I arrived, hot & tired, I was greeted by such friendly staff & a cool drink. And someone strong to carry my luggage to the 4th floor! I came early, before check-in time, but my room was ready & they didn't even mention that I was early. They helped me immediately with 3 tours for each day I would be with them. So very kind & helpful! The food here was better than ANY other restaurant I went to. I should have just eaten ALL my meals here!

We had an amazing stay at Chedi Hotel! From the reception to the room, breakfast and amenities we only have great memories to share. The room was big, bed comfortable, toiletries provided. We had a regular room and it come with a kettle, instant coffee, stationary little safe, strong aircon, hairdryer and an iron. Breakfast is to die for. You have a great variety of smoothies and juices as well as delicious fruit plates and little delicacies which are different everyday. The coffee is delicious and it comes directly from the owner's farm... (as a note, the straight coffee they serve it's a double expresso which can give you quite a jolt! :) Chedi is very close to the east gate of the mote (the Old Chiang Mai) and street vendors with delicious meals for less than $2 us. At the reception, Jar and Jai speak english very well and can book your bus to Pai or different day trips around the city. Chiang Mai streets can be very noisy due to cars, motorbikes and tuk-tuks roaming around but Chedi is on the quieter side as it's tucked in, away from the main road.

The only things to bare in mind are: you might need to step down to get into the restroom, the shower gets hot really fast and lastly, you may want to cover the shower drain with a little plate when not in use to avoid bad odors.

Threatened to call the police to make extra bucks!

Although I did book a non smoking room (by mistake), there was no prominent non smoking warning sign in the room but page of notes contain several lines of fine ranging from Thb 2,000 to 10,000 for no smoking, urinating on bed, etc etc., pasted on a wall that did not catch occupier's eyes. Why can't it be pasted above the key-card slot, then no one can argue they did not see it.
At the time of checking out, the counter staff demanded that I pay Thb 2,000 as fine. I reasoned with her with above reasons but she refused to listen and threatened to call the police.
After much arguing and her call to her employer, she finally asked for Thb 1,000. Because I was rushing to the railway station, I gave in.
This was my first time to Chiangmai and my joy visiting the city turned into distaste and displeasure.
What an experience with this hotel.

Great location, friendly staff

Lovely, clean hotel with great access to old city and night market. Spent 4 nights here during the Thai New Years, enjoying the location both for its access to the action and its isolation from the action. Breakfasts were delicious with lots of fruit and great coffee. Pool added a nice ambience and a great place to cool off. Staff was friendly and helpful. A truly delightful spot.

Disappointing stay @ Chedi Home.

I stayed in a hostel in Chiang Mai prior to arriving here, I'd read the reviews before booking so my expectations of Chedi home were quite high! I booked two nights and was really looking forward to their extremely friendly service (as per reviews). I'm sad to say that my expectations were let-down by average service...

On arrival; I was slightly early. I was told to 'sit there' by reception staff, pointing at the seating area. There was one other nice lady who gave me a welcome drink though.

Fair enough, I was early and didn't mind sitting and waiting. When my room was ready, the lady at the desk informed me and gave me my key... Instead of assisting me with my bags & showing me around the place (it's not the clearest signposting to rooms), the lady told me 'second floor' and proceeded to allow me to lug my heavy suitcase upstairs... Service? :S

Lovely room, the bed was super comfy and I can't fault the room - honestly. BUT considering they knew I was coming and got my room ready whilst I was there, the air con had not been put on!!! The heat blasted me and it took about 15 minutes for the room to get cool - not good for someone who's travelled miles from Bangkok in the heat.

Breakfast was tasty. Around 16:00 the day before my early flight at 6.30am the following day, I asked if they would be able to do my laundry in time for the flight tomorrow, and that I'd pay extra for express. I was flat out told no. Very unhelpful! Doubt I'll be staying again in future.
