First of all, it had parking on premises, second It was so beautiful and the rooms well decorated and well kept up. having A/C is a huge plus. It is very close to coffee shops, Restaurants, stores and downtown all walking distance. Always felt safe. Customer service was always ready to answer questions.

I will definitely go back when I visit Querétaro.

Very good location, close to historic center, lots of restaurants around. Room well appointed, updated bathroom, coffee maker in room

Now for the cons,
No toilet paper in bathroom had to ask front desk, no coffee pods for the coffee maker had to ask front desk for coffee pods, no coffee cups had to get cups from lobby every day, no sugar available only sweeteners in lobby, couldn’t get hot water in shower and later told to wiggle the handle and place it in certain location to get hot water, heater was not working had to ask for extra blanket, WiFi didn’t work in room but worked in lobby had to get front desk person to come to room to figure out the password, no bottled water in room but there is water cooler in lobby

It s worth the staying, improvement possible

What went well:
The location has indoor parking
The staff was reactive and friendly
The rooms were clean and cozy
The bed was huuuuge!
What went wrong
We had problems with both doors (entrance and bathroom)
No corkscrew and wine glasses available. Like there is a very nice place to chill and have a glass of wine. I had to go to a bar nearby to get my bottle of wine opened
The persons in charge of cleaning were making a lot of noise (like screams and shouts) while cleaning (cca 5pm, when we were trying to get a nap after a full day)-we found it very unpleasant

It s a good location, I d choose it next time as well, but maybe they could improve a bit to make it even better!

Whenever in Querétaro, we always stay in this hotel.
Location is fantastic, and with its own garage! We (very rare downtown).
They used to include breakfast, now they only have tea and coffee.
They should also look into their towels which were in a poor state.
Other than that, I highly recommend it.

The location of the hotel was PERFECT. It was very clean and cute! The only bad thing about it was that there was no hot water to shower. Also, there was no wifi in the rooms, only at the wifi lounge. Other than that, it is a great value!

Ups and downs!

The hotel and rooms are elegant and charming with a lot of local authenticity. We were originally put in a very, very small room, but got moved the second day to a much larger, very lovely, room. We loved it, but the rooms are dark with poor lighting for reading unless you want to sit at the desk. The drainage in the showers of both rooms was poor as the water built up almost to cover ones feet. Front desk staff was most helpful and friendly< Angel, Eloi and Laura, and the cleaning gals were very accommodating. A big disappointment was on the morning of our departure.. We were counting on the included continental breakfast since we wouldn't be able to eat until much later that day. But that morning all they had put out was hot water for tea!!! The unknown woman at the front desk knew nothing about the breakfast and finally brought out some coffee and after asking for something more brought bread. There was no fruit, cereal, milk, yogurt, etc. as there had been on other mornings??? Ups and downs!

very good hotel

it is just in the center of the town but a very quiet neighborhood. We could even park our car in the hotel. The traditional house is very attractive. Staffs there are helpful. Particularly a man talked with us in English, introducing us to history of Mexico and the town as well as other tourist information.

Nice Hotel, a bit noisy

My boyfriend and I stayed there for two nights. The hotel and rooms are all very nice, decorated nicely. Wifi speed was super important to us since we work remotely and we were pleased with it. The location of the hotel is great since we can walk anywhere from here (downtown, main attractions, bars and restaurants) and you don't hear any street noise.

I only have two complaints:

Noise: we can hear people cough or play music through the walls. You also hear people taking showers or opening the tab from other rooms or the cleaning staff sweeping the floors.

Shower: there was a bit of a problem with hot water in the shower... it took forever to heat up.

It is convenient to have continental breakfast included in the room fee but I would invest in a better coffee maker (and coffee beans) to make our stay an even more pleasant one!

Great place, if you don't need bathroom privacy!

Lovely style, incredible vaulted ceilings with skylight, but the bathroom is not sound-proof. If you're not willing to share that part of your life with whomever you're sharing the room with, then you won't want to come here. Breakfast left LOADS to be desired as the restocking of basic elements took forever, but the rooms were really gorgeous and the beds were good.

As fascinating as Queretaro is, this hotel was so lovely that we came back just to spend time here. Our room, furnished in Mexican furniture and crafts, was off the attractive courtyard where breakfast was served and also had a view of people passing on the street. We also loved the luxurious bathroom and great wi-fi to post our pictures.

Nice colonial hotel with great downtown location

Very good service. Great location, within walking distance of downtown and other historic buildings. The room was clean and blended very well the comfort and amenities of modern life while preserving the colonial feel. Don't expect a large breakfast; there were natural juices and fruit, but the amounts seemed a bit limited. Overall, an excellent and highly recommended stay.

Excellent boutique hotel in Queretaro!

This hotel is brand new and beautifully designed. It looks exactly like the pictures and is just a 5 minute walk from all the downtown historic sites. They had been open only 3 weeks when I was there - the staff spoke limited English and was super friendly. Don't expect much from the included breakfast (a piece of fruit and an out-of-the-box pastry), but there are plenty of cafes nearby. The only potential drawback to this place is the open floor plan of the room (i.e. there is no door between the bathroom and bedroom). This could be an issue, depending on who you're traveling with. Overall, I highly recommend Casa Altamira - it's a great place!

El personal no está capacitado. El trato es informal y poco cortés. Es lamentable dado que el inmueble está en una excelente ubicación, el edificio está en excelentes condiciones. De los
Blancos y la cama la calidad es aceptable, pero el café es terrible. Las cápsulas que ofrecen son de marca dudosa y el sabor lo confirma. Sería ideal poner los servicios al nivel del inmueble y estoy seguro de que incluso podrían cobrar una mucho mejor tarifa.

El hotel cambio de dueños y ya no es como solía ser. El estado de la ropa de cama y blancos se ve bastante acabado. Te dejan un solo papel higiénico durante la estancia, ensucie una toalla con un poco de maquillaje y me cobraron la toalla cuando claramente salía con jabón. Definitivamente no volveremos.

Habitación limpia, cómoda, pero no sirvió nunca la televisión, y el internet muy malo, teníamos internet 10 minutos y se iba una hora, habitaciones demasiado pequeñas y el baño súper pegado a la cama, el agua sale súper caliente y luego súper fría, la factura tarda en llegar una semana. Según nos iban a ayudar con lo de la televisión y el internet y nada. En general está bonito el lugar pero los servicios dejan mucho que desear.

La habitación estaba amplia, el hotel tiene una ubicación inmejorable para visitar el centro de Querétaro y cuenta con estacionamiento en el establecimiento lo cuál es cómodo.
Nos tuvieron que cambiar de habitación porque el aire acondicionado no funcionaba en una, las puertas de la regadera y el sanitario se transparenta absolutamente todo, lo cuán no me gustó ya que aprecio la privacidad, todo lo demás bien

No respetaron el tamaño de la cama es

Yo reservé mi estancia aquí por qué teníamos un seminario de filosofía en la UAQ y está súper cerquita, cruzando una calle pero iba acompañada con una compañera de clase y en la aplicación decía cama Quenn y nos dieron matrimonial. Le dije al encargado y nos quería cobrar más por cambiarnos de habitación a una con dos matrimoniales y me dijo que no ha ido a medir la cama pero que si era Quenn, cómo si yo no supiera diferenciar. Deberían de respetar lo que dice la reservación. La cama Queen si hace mucha diferencia a una matrimonial con alguien que no es familiar ni amigos. Lo demás estaba muy petit el hotel pero limpio.

El hotel en general es bueno, una casa antigua hecha hotel. La habitación que nos tocó no estaba mal. Lo único malo es el baño, algo pequeño y con cero privacidad ya que la puerta es de cristal. La limpieza bien, las camas igual muy bien. La TV y el serv6de sky nunca funcionó. Y la atención del personal PS dos dos hacen su chamba. Si regreso al hotel, por la cercanía, el estacionamiento y la tranquilo del hotel. Tal vez porque no éramos tantos huéspedes. Yo creo solo eran 3 o 4 habitaciones ocupadas.

El personal es muy amable, la ubicación es sensacional. El único problema es que las habitaciones dan a un pasillo donde todo se escucha, cualquier ruido afuera en el pasillo es muy molesto en las habitaciones. Deberían comentar a los huéspedes que deben de ser más silenciosos al pasar frente a otras habitaciones.

Debi leer mas reseñas. El.lugar esta ok pero la habitación es MINI, las fotos le ayudan mucho a los espacios.

Cuando llegamos estuvimos parados como 10 minutos afuera porque nadie abria y no eran ni las 6pm. Para el checkout no habia nadie en la recepción en la madrugada y el baño esta lit adentro del cuarto con una parte de pared abierta arriba. La cama esta bien pero en general no es una expeiencia muy comoda si vas con alguien más.
