Very nice hotel, perfect location. I had plans of getting up and biking to breakfast which you can't access a bike until 8am (I'm an early riser). When 8am came, the bikes were all locked down and they could not find/get in touch with the one guy who has the key to unlock them. We waited a bit but then drove - was disappointed but otherwise hotel is very nice.

My only complaint is the constantly increasing costs at this motel keeps rising and yet you are now charging a resort fee. I think some discounts on food there would help make one feel like they are not being taken advantage of at such a lovely place.

The hotel and location are great. It wasn’t crowded while we were there so we had easy access to the pool. The reason for the low rating is because there was a wedding there the night of our stay and the music was extremely loud into the night. Our room wasn’t even beach facing, which is where the wedding/reception was. If we knew this when we booked we would have probably chosen a different hotel since we have a younger child.

Beach clean, not crowded in he slightest. Hotel has dozens of beach chairs you simply grab in the way to the beach, no cost, very nice.

My room was Ocean Front but our view was of dunes. The room only had 2 very small trash cans, definitely not enough. We were there for my son’s wedding and had a tray of bagels and crumb cake and butter, cream cheese, coffee and a bowl of fruit delivered. We had to bring some of the garbage home with us because there was not enough garbage disposal cans. The wedding was wonderful!!! Everything was delicious and we were getting compliments all day because the whole event was wonderful.

Overall was a great experience. There are stairs all over to get to the lobby, pool, ocean , and parking lot. The room smelled musty and the a/c vents were dusty. Once in the room we became immune to it. All surfaces were clean however the carpets were stained. Bedding and towels were clean and comforting. I would stay here again. The view of the ocean was amazing!

Was disappointed that our room was not in the ocean front building as advertised but across the street in another building on the second floor with no elevator. Our room was not cleaned during our two day stay. There was no outside hose or shower in our building to clean off after a beach visit.

The property is great. Location wonderful Beach view is pretty and it’s wonderful that chairs, and boogie boards are available. Pool and hot tub are very nice and a good alternative if you didn’t want to stay at the beach all day.
Disappointing that Drift restaurant and bar was closed. More electrical outlets would be helpful in the room.

Pool water did not look clean .. should be flushed out more frequently .. great location / restaurant and staff .. just the pool was the issue .. also need to be sure others are not using their parking lot to access the beach / limited # of spots at this property .. I personally saw ppl parking and walking to the beach on more than one occasion as I looked for a spot (as a guest of this hotel)

This was our fourth trip to LBI, and our first staying at Spray Beach. Loved the location. Plenty of parking on site. The amenities like complimentary beach chairs and boogie boards made packing much easier than going to other locations. Any problems we faced were quickly remedied by the attentive staff. Would highly recommend.

The property is located right on the beach. They have a restaurant & pool as well. The cost for a king bed and sleeper sofa was over 500 per night beachfront and the room is very small. I realize that’s the avg price for summer rentals in LBI but for the size it would be tough if you had a family of four or more. LBI has gotten so expensive. The days of going down the shore with the family will be tough for a lot of ppl. Taxes and the cost of insurance is the main reason for this and it’s frustrating that NJ lawmakers aren’t trying to fix this major problem. Get it together TRENTON!!

We were really looking forward to our beachside stay at this hotel, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find that our room was not in the main hotel building, but in one of the side buildings, which felt misleading based on how the property is presented online.

The condition of the room was disappointing. The floors were so dirty that the bottoms of our feet turned black after just a few minutes of walking around. The room itself was also much smaller than it appeared in the photos on the website. To make matters worse, some of the fresh towels provided had visible red stains of blood. When we brought this to the front desk’s attention, their response was surprisingly indifferent—no apology or concern was shown.

The room also had poor ventilation with no fan in the bathroom so after a shower, the whole room felt wet and damp.

That said, there were several positives about our stay. The pool was great, the on-site restaurant was enjoyable, and the proximity to the beach was excellent. Those amenities helped make parts of our trip enjoyable.

Still, the condition and cleanliness of the room made the overall experience feel disappointing—especially since we were traveling with a two-year-old and ended up spending more time in the room than others might. If you don’t plan to spend much time in your room, the stay could still be enjoyable, but for those who do, it’s worth considering these issues before booking.

Cute resort, inside is nicely kept, outside needs help. The laundry is right under the pool and to go up and open for guests to see with things on a dirty floor. Trash is on side of the building where guests walk and park and does not smell good. Maintenance people were working hard and non stop, just need to invest in better facilities for them to work in.
Also, compared to other hotels it was lacking in amenities. No bikes, no extra TP, no pool towels.

The rooms are clean but small, barely passable between the beds and the desk/refeigerator/wardrobe. Parking was easy enough and I didn’t have any issue finding somewhere to park each day. There is no ventilation in the bathrooms so the rooms get to a warm, humid tropical climate after using the shower. I couldn’t find an ice machine anywhere in the inland building which isn’t ideal for the beach in mid-July. There’s also no elevator on the inland building so don’t book those rooms if you plan on taking a heavy suitcase or are someone not comfortable using stairs.

Had not been back since the redo. Rooms new and restaurant new. Prices are astronomical now for what you get. You are paying for the location....Rooms were ok. No bathroom fan????? No screens in back windows. You can empty your own trash or ask for that to be done. 2 chairs and small table outside room door. for drying wet towels and suits. Restaurant - i was shocked. Ordered and appetizer that was only 4 pieces. for $22. Overpriced and sad. Lobby filled with snacks now. Why???? Miss the old ambience of the wooden bar. I cant afford the prices in season now. Off season maybe...I have been going for about 20 years....

i booked this hotel thru hotels .com. the address and the picture of the hotel i booked with them is not what I got. It was an extension of the hotel in a separate building across the street. It was false advertisement it was not what i paid for. Which was top dollar. the hotel said sometimes 3rd parties do this they were fully booked and could not give us another room. the pool was small, 18 feet only and did not look clean. The restauraunt could not get an order correct and houskeepting wasnt told to us until we asked. I feel we should be compensated.I did not get the hotel that you showed I paid for.

Convenience of location, parking, and access to beach/restaurant/bar with amenities like chairs and boogie boards for kids was fantastic. Pool was a bit warm and small but helped when weather shutdown the beach.
Room was a bit tight and across from elevator so not the best, and for some reason the rooms in our section were without chairs/table outside the room. Staff was helpful when needed. Overall fun and comfy spot without bells and whistles.

We liked our stay here a lot. If you want to see the ocean and beach, request higher floors. We were on the 2nd floor and we were eye level with the sand dunes.
Our carpet was dirty and didn’t seem to dry but it was so humid , I understand this to be normal.

Overall, a good spot. Can't beat the location being right on the beach. Have stayed here before and will stay here again.

Two complaints:
1. For over $500 per night, room cleaning is only available by request. When checking in, told you have to call by 11 AM to request your room cleaned. We called, but no one came. It was 4:45 PM, and we had to call again to get clean towels to shower for the evening. Yes, someone came to bring us towels then in a timely manner, but again, for over $500 you should be able to get your room freshened up. Bed, towels, garbage. I had to dump our hotel garbage can outside myself. I'd argue that most people are in their rooms at that 5PM-ish time getting ready for dinner, etc so cleaning that late makes no sense.
2. The pool is heated. Too heated. If its 80/85/90+ degrees outside, by the afternoon hours being in the sun, the pool is bath warm. Not even refreshing. Save the hotel the money and turn off the heater.

So the property was nice. The rooms were nice and clean but the management was not accommodating. Check in is later then most places and check out is early. We asked for a later check out and they did not want to accommodate. The staff at the check I were nice but clueless to answering questions, same with the staff that seats you at the restaurant. I feel like for the amount we paid for the night the staff should be more professional. Location was nice. The restaurant opens late in the morning so breakfast was not accessible.

We were asked when we arrived how often we wanted the room cleaned. We said every day. It was “cleaned” the second day we were there and then never again. By “cleaned” I mean our beds were made and trash was taken. That’s it. There was no cleaning done. We asked the woman at the front several times and nothing happened. The trash can in the room is tiny. Out trash piled up and piled up and it was never taken out again. The older woman at the front desk answers any question in a condescending manner. Like we’re bothering her. There was a very nice man the night we arrived but we never saw him again

Again for the price these things should have been offered or at least we should have been told they were not available. The renovation of the rooms is very nice and you made great use of the space. The location and room were great. But the restaurant and bar were shut down. The week after Labor Day? How in convenient… there was no literal the restaurant n bar were closed. We stay for three nights and the staff only serviced our room once. This was our 48th Anniversary and we were disappointed.
