Room was clean and spacious. Staff was also super nice and helpful. Responded quickly to requests for towels and ice (there is no self serve ice). We arrived early and had no issues with bag storage. Room was equipped with a mini fridge, small coffee pot, microwave and plates/silverware. Beekman products and robes were also nice. Beds are super comfy.
The location was perfect for us. Just far enough away from the craziness of Times Square but also close enough to walk there quickly and get to the subway easily. The NY Luncheonette across the street and Ess a bagel around the corner were both awesome. I would avoid Empire Steak House next time though (also across the street). We went just for burgers in the bar and they were so overpriced and not great. The I would definitely stay at San Carlos again.
