Amazing all around

Don't even know where to start. This hotel was the highlight of a larger trip through Europe. The combination of old and new architecture is amazing. The spa is wondeful. Highlight was out bar tender though. Giuseppe made the best drinks ever.
This place is top notch. Location is amazing, everything in walking distance. Staff is super helpful and friendly, goes the extra mile. This one really deserves the 'Grand' in their name.

Hardly value for money

Sadly, the owners have renovated sections of this lovely old building with rusted sheet steel. The entry gate in particular looks as though it leads to a scrap yard.
The room was excellent and the staff were fine, but the
price of meals is exorbitant (Two small courses and one
bottle of wine £150) Only to be recommended to those with more money than sense.

Fantastic stay at the Lido Palace. Luxury from the moment go into the gates until the moment you check out. Excellent location for Riva and the pool area is very peaceful.

Awesome stay, a stunning place with amazing staff (Michele). Book a room on the second floor with a balcony and lake view, it has the best ambience. The restaurant has MAGNIFICENT food, we could eat there all day. The only downside is the choice of food at breakfast, the selection is limited. Also a very big plus for adhering to all the covid regulations, this made me feel safe.

We were an hour early and our room wasn't ready so we had a drink and a meal at the bistro. Wonderful view food and wine. Our room was not the lake view but partial. I expected a heated towel rail and the bath was a bit grubby around the plug hole. The room creaks and groans and it isn't as sound proof as expected. We could here the children in the room next door. The pool was quite busy and it was difficult to find somewhere to place our belongings. Small children squealing made the relaxation at the pool difficult. Their parents were oblivious to the disturbance they created. Other families had well behaved children who made no impact on the enjoyment of others. Considering the price of accommodation here and that children are free the parents should be much more mindful of disturbances of other guests. Overall the best part was the restaurant and the restaurant staff. That was faultless. The room was not the luxury I expected. I have had much better in better locations for less cost.

We were offered a complementary upgrade on arrival to a huge suit.
There was fizz and a handwritten note from the manager on arrival to the room with birthday regards. Everyone was friendly and went above and beyond. The location was amazing. Will return.

Old and new architecture are brought together brilliantly allowing guests to take in both Lake and Mountains as well as the ever changing light and the beauty of the setting throughout the building. A little bit of heaven!

This was one of the most fabulous two days we have ever had. We were upgraded to a lake view and when we woke up in the am the sun was streaming through the window and a spectacular view was in front of us. Also loved the lunch we had in the restaurant with a great view of the lake, very calming. There was a very easy walk to town. We enjoyed watching all the sailboats going in and out. Seeing Santa Barbara church lit up at night was stunning, next time we will try to climb to it! Unfortunately only stayed two days, would like to stay much longer.

The Lido Palace is a lovely hotel in an excellent location with wonderful views of Lake Garda. The breakfast is very good, as is the Bistro for light evening meals. We had a junior suite and it was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly situated for walking into the old town in the evenings. All in all, a 5 star experience!

Absolutely excellent property in every way. As much as we travel all over the world this is by far one of the best properties we have been too and we came to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Room excellent on the fourth floor with stunning terrace.

Nestled at the top of Lake Garda the picturesque Belle Epoque hotel is luxurious! The views are breathtaking. There is a well equipped spa with an indoor pool that looks out on the outdoor pool and deck area. The outside terrace gives an al fresco opportunity to take in the views. The town is a few minutes from the property with shopping and restaurants!

I am usually that guy that holds back a star just because I feel that should be reserved for the \"perfect\" hotel. This was it. It was truly an amazing experience in an amazing place. Admittedly, they upgraded our room, but I just cannot imagine any of their rooms being less than perfect. Service was amazing, the breakfast and a dinner were incredible. We were supposed to get a spa credit as part of the offer but that seemed to be lost along the way somewhere. Nonetheless, they honored it even though they had no record- with little fuss. I guess the only downside was that the hotel was so amazing, we were reluctant to leave and explore the area!

Fantastic service; everyone was very accommodating. The room was spotless and we had a fantastic view of the lake from our balcony. Great to have an indoor and outdoor pool as the weather can change quite rapidly in the late afternoon. Brilliant breakfast; there was a large variety and it was all make to perfection and even ordering from the breakfast menu, rather than just the buffet, was included. Would definitely recommend, I couldn't find a better hotel in the area.

Property generally very good but a very strange bathroom arrangement ( Room 111 ). The shower was virtually in the
entrance hall and the toilet was adjacent to two large clear glass widows with each having a rather inefficient blind system to screen it - an unusual design to say the least.

Some things about this property are unparalleled, great pools, great spa, great views, good location for walking the promenade, close but not too close to town, clean and comfortable. A few things could use help—bad lighting in the suite, staff can’t understand English very well, got every room service order just a little bit wrong. We bought the cute spa bag but couldn’t pack it until we were out of the property in the parking lot—a silly little policy thing. Overall, I’d go back!!!

Lido Palace was absolutely beautiful. The five star rating is 100% applicable. The dining experience was wonderful for all meals from breakfast to dinner to bar service. The rooms were large and impeccably clean. Location was steps away from the lake and the views were surreal. The staff was friendly, helpful and extremely welcoming. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I give my highest recommendation.

Fabulous hotel in amazing location

The Lido Palace mixes old world grandeur with modern tastes. It’s location is perfect for viewing Lake Garda and our room gave us an amazing panorama. The breakfasts on the terrace in the shadow of the mountains are a lovely way to start your day. There’s a huge choice of food too. The staff are all very friendly and provide great service. The old town is about a 10 minute walk and there’s lots of restaurants, bars and shops. We didn’t try the spa but heard it’s excellent too. We’d love to return some day soon.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed to this wonderful hotel. It has a feeling of sophistication and luxury tied together with friendly staff.

We used the Lido Palace as a base to explore the beauty of Lake Garda but loved returning back late afternoon to take advantage of the fantastic spa facilities.

If you are looking for a great base to explore Riva and the surrounding towns, want to spoil yourself by staying in a glorious hotel with an amazing restaurant, this is the ideal hotel.

Everything about this hotel exceeded expectations. The public areas and the room were wonderful - sleek, unfussy, high-end design made for a very relaxed atmosphere. And there is so much space! The gardens and grounds are immaculately kept, and offer a relaxed private oasis away from the lake itself. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. The food in both restaurants was first class. Only one downside I could mention: the pianist / singer on the terrace in the evenings is too loud and we found it difficult to talk when he was playing / singing - would be much improved if they took away the microphone and speaker and kept it as more relaxed background music. A small criticism though, as I had the most wonderful stay.

Beautiful location and the hotel design really makes the most of it. Friendly staff who were always happy to help, however we did not form any relationships with any staff members, which we usually do. Just felt slightly impersonal at times. Design of the rooms is cool and different, arguably more in keeping with a city hotel rather than a luxurious relaxation focussed hotel. But overall a fantastic trip and would love to return.

Our stay at the Lido Palace concluded our vacation in Italy. We were most excited about our stay at the Lido Palace based on the photos and previous reviews. The grounds and views of Lake Garda are beautiful. However, the hotel did not measure up to the other hotels we visited in Italy.

Pros:

Beautfiul Grounds
Beautiful views of Lake Garda
Breakfast was extremely pleasing with good choices and attentive service
Very comfortable beds

Cons:
The bathroom is very disfunctional with very limited counter space.
Electronics in the room are very difficult to understand
Our lakeview room had a gorgeous patio but had limited (and uncomfortable) seating
Staff was pleasant but not over friendly and helpful
We scheduled a wake-up call but it was never received (we programmed twice)

Overall, the service was lacking for a 5 star hotel. The hotel itself had a mix of old and new. The modern features were overdone - making it very cold and \"clunky\".

The hotel is delightful and the staff can’t do enough to make the experience 1st class. From the moment you approach the hotel it has a wow factor about it.

The hotel is right on the lake of which we had a room with a view. We eat at breakfast in the restaurant and that was lovely with the attention to detail and do had lunch on our arrival outside overlooking the lake - they even arranged the weather haha....

We went to the spa and both of us had a spa package - my wife says it’s the best she’s ever been to and I have to agree. Awesome.

I’d like to say thank you to the hotel for making the trip so memorable. We will be back next year!

Superb spa hotel on Lake Garda

Superb in every aspect, I've split out my review below;

Appearance - Superb blend of old and modern, the original lakeside palazzo is blended perfectly with the modern additions of the lobby, restaurant and spa and the penthouse suites. Interior design is very well done, tasteful and enjoyable.

Check-In - Very quick and easy. Staff took my bags, parked my car and all with a very friendly and helpful approach. Perfect experience!

Rooms - My single person room (212) was a perfect size. Good sized bed (i'm a big chap and it was very comfortable), high quality bedding and more than enough room for me. Desk well laid out, plenty of power points, good speed internet made streaming movies no problem at all. Bathroom had a wonderful rain shower, heated floor, excellent toiletries.

Restaurant - Beautiful place, with exceptional lake and mountain views. Breakfast (huge and plentiful, including fresh cooked omlettes, waffles, porridge) and dinner (high end food from an excellent chef with a very good menu) were both very enjoyable. And again, the staff were friendly, attentive but never intrusive.

Spa - Two warm pools long enough for exercising in. The mountain view from both pools is quite breathtaking. The sauna/steam rooms and various types of sensory showers are fantastic and very relaxing. Massages were very good, again with excellent staff who are very friendly and helpful.

Overall - Perfect experience! Will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend.

Nice hotel overlooking the lake

Once the gates open youare swept away by the mix of grandeur and modernism. Lido Palace is in the perfect location for an idyllic tranquil break with lovely heated pools inside and out and spa facilities to rival the best hotels in the world. It is a 5minute walk to Riva where you find all the local restaurants and cafes.
Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
