I had a nice stay at the Albergo Gardesana. The front desk staff, Doreen was super helpful. She helped me when my travel plans changed and also to book a taxi to VRN. Breakfast was good and convenient, just be sure to not leave your food unattended outside because the birds will eat it. The surrounding area is beautiful. This place was perfect for my stay.

If I ever return to this region, I will certainly stay in Torri del Benaco again and definitely at Hotel Gardesana again. The village was quaint and just gorgeous and the hotel was magnificent. It was clean and neat and tidy and PERFECT location right on the little harbour. The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly and always with a smile on their face. They provided a porter and little golf cart to collect us and our luggage from the carpark, they carried it up the stairs for us. The room was large, we had the penthouse with amazing views. The vibe was awesome. I can’t praise this hotel enough - it was perfetto in every way.
The one very small criticism was the wifi was not reliable at all. Worked perfectly in the lobby though , but temperamental in the room

We enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, with a great view (as pictured) of the harbor and castle. The breakfast was wonderful, and we appreciated the walkability of the location. Many restaurants nearby. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We took the ferry twice. A bonus! Highly recommend this albergo. We'll be back!

Having never been to Lake Garda i was unsure what to expect, all i can say is it was breath taking, i loved the 2 days we spent here. Two days is simply not enough, i definitely would never get bored of the scenery, and Torri Del Benaco is peaceful and relaxing. The Gardesana hotel was perfect sent in a small harbour area with a few sailing boats to watch bob up and down, a balcony with lake view for your breakfast, a verandah with tables or sofas and armchairs to watch the world go by, as well as plenty of local restaurants with lake views to have a meal at. Local ferries available to travel across the lake to other destinations, as well as speedboat or boat tours around the lake as well. I cannot say enough about Torri Del Benaco, the Gardesana as well as the friendliest and helpful staff as well, a must go see, we will be back very soon.

A wonderful location, quieter than other villages, perfect to return to after a days touring. Easy access for boat trips across the lake. Superb staff, from the reception team to the restaurant and bar staff who kindly accomodated our tea requests. We were in room 305 with a balcony and beautiful view. We have recommended the hotel already to our friends.

We had the best room at the best hotel in town. Penthouse room views the lake AND harbor. Hotel has best location. Outdoor bistro has most comfortable chairs and sofas to relax and watch the people and boats go by. All the staff are friendly, happy and helpful. Great breakfast. Safe and easy parking. Easy walk anywhere including to ferry. Highly recommend.

The location, patio and bar area was very nice. Overall the stay was pleasant. Although, our room was advertised as a Penthouse when it was really an attic room converted which was very hot and stuffy with a small window. Also advertised was there would be air conditioning but the property doesn’t turn the system on until June. The staff did get us a fan which made it better.

This is a wonderful hotel north of Garda in a beautiful setting. The quality of the hotel is on par with Hilton and Marriott. There are plenty of activities in the area - shopping, lake cruises, hiking, etc. It's our new favorite hotel on Lake Garda.

location of the hotel is excellent, we had a room with balcony overlooking the lake & small harbour (301) while the room is not massive it was enough for our needs and the view from the balcony was fantastic
The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful, courteous at all times, an extra special mention for Gloria on reception & David on the terrace waiting staff.
The only minus point was the downstairs restaurant the food was not to a very high standard we ate there twice and were disappointed in the quality of the food on both occasions the staff were very nice though.All in all a great hotel to stay in.

Lovely old hotel on Lake Garda

We booked a 4 night stay here with 4 friends in October 2018 and we were not disappointed. The location in Tori del Benaco was quieter than some of the other lakeside towns and this suited us perfectly. The hotel, staff and food were perfect and a pleasure to stay there. All 6 of us agreed that we would love to return there in the future. Access to water and road transport was straightforward.

Lovely hotel by the harbour on Lake Garda

A hotel full of character and charm with great staff and service. The location of the hotel make it easy to explore other locations around the lake using buses and boats. Dining in the hotel restaurant is a must at least once during your stay. The service and food need to be sampled to appreciate this hotels attention to detail. We had a very relaxed holiday, while at the same visiting lots of interesting sights.

Superbly located on lake Garda

This is a great hotel in a fantastic setting overlooking the harbour in Torri del Benaco - one of the quieter locations on Lake Garda.
Rooms are comfortable and clean, if a little tired in parts. Breakfasts, which can be taken on the balcony overlooking the harbour, are buffet-style with a huge range from healthy yoghurt to unhealthy cakes!
Staff are superb throughout - friendly, relaxed and helpful.
The restaurant is of a very high standard and again makes use of the magical balcony location.

Coming back each evening from the hustle and bustle of the larger towns to the relative peace and quiet of Torri and having a drink under the hotel arches overlooking the gently swaying masts of the boats in the harbour was always the perfect way to end the day.

A great hotel and the best location in Torri. The hotel terrace downstairs gets very busy and it's hard to get a table - however it's a good spot for people watching! The views are lovely and we recommend paying more for a 4/ floor room with balcony. We booked 12 of us for dinner on the dining room terrace on 1st floor - it was fabulous. Great food, great service and a lovely ambience. Also, breakfast was fine - and they offer Prosecco at breakfast!! Would definitely recommend this hotel. Just wish the Wi-Fi was better but then it was pretty bad all through Italy.

A great place for relaxation

Torri del Benaco is one of the least crowded places on Lake Garda. Hotel Ristorante Gardesana is the perfect place to stay - beside the little harbour in the car-free centre of the village. To breakfast or dine on the balcony overlooking the harbour and castle is a pleasure, or to laze away the day in the cool of the loggia cafe. We spent a delightful four days there in early September and can think of no better introduction to the Italian Lakes

Beautiful little gem beside Lake Garda

We stayed here as a base for sightseeing (Venice and Verona) and what a base. A most charming hotel.
Very peaceful, scenic and plenty of little restaurants and shops on your doorstep. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast on the dining room balcony every morning was a treat and yummy too, and not forgetting the wonderful views of the lake and castle. We are most definitely coming back. We feel like we've found a little Italian diamond.

Lovely hotel in great location

This hotel was perfect for a 3 night stay. It is right in the centre of Torri De Benaco with lots of cafes & restaurants in walking distance. It is a quieter location to other places along Lake Garda, but still has lots of atmosphere in the evening with live music every evening throughout the summer. The staff were really helpful & friendly. The breakfast was plentiful & the room we had with a balcony over looking the boats was idyllic. I would definitely recommend this hotel & this area.

The perfect hotel, beautiful set up in a great location with views and restaurants within a few minutes walk. We stayed 3 nights and didn't want to leave!

The parking is 5 mins away and took a little working out, but the reception will organise a golf cart to collect you and luggage so it's fine once sorted.

In an idyllic setting on the harbour Hotel Ristorante Gardesana is really special. We had a lovely room with a balcony. The staff were tremendous and really seemed to care about their guests. We enjoyed excellent breakfasts and evening drinks on the terrace.

Ideal hotel for Lake Garda

This hotel has a great deal to commend it.
It possesses the best site in Torri del Benaco - beside and overlooking its small and picturesque harbour. The castle ruins sit opposite.
The hotel itself is old and attractive with a wonderful balcony on which to have breakfast. Its rooms are spacious with high ceilings. Despite its central location the hotel occupies a quiet spot.
Torri itself has the advantage of being both mid-lake and yet not no where near as busy as many other lake towns and villages, and yet there are plenty of good eateries to be found. I recommend going.

This hotel is wonderful. It has great character and the view is lovely across the lake. This is the second time we have visited the hotel. The first two years ago and we said we would come back and we did for our honeymoon. We were greeted with a bottle of bubbly which was a very nice touch and much appreciated. All the staff are professional and very welcoming. Each morning we had breakfast on the balcony with a view across the lake. There are lots of restaurants in Torri and all offer very nice meals. The bus service to other parts of the lake made things easy and the ferry is available as well. We now have a job to find another hotel/holiday next year with the same amount of character, history, scenery and not too busy.
For me as a non smoker I do find the fact that you can sit next to someone in a restaurant that has lit up and you are still eating not brilliant but a small price to pay for the lovely holiday

Great place to stay. Not too many tourists and happy friendly staff in the hotel. Only disappointment was the lake ferry service which was confusing and the ferry staff unhelpful.
It was wonderful to sit and watch the sun go down behind the mountains drink in hand and dinner on its way.

We had a lovely three day stay here. Found the car park which is on the main road via gardesana on the right if going North. Put 64 via gardesana in the sat nav.The car park has gates but there is an intercom to the hotel and you are collected in an electric golf cart. All works well and the car park is only 200m from the hotel. Hotel great. Lovely breakfast on the balcony. Nice cafe on ground floor. Lots of restaurants to walk to as well as the hotel one. Lido with sunbeds 200m away.

This was a fantastic stay and hotel deserves a great deal for it. This hotel has an excellent location, right in the small harbor of the gorgeous Torre. Staff in the hotel (and we had interaction with at least 4-5 people) is remarkably friendly and welcoming. Parking is also a major plus. Facilities are in line with hotel's grade if not above. Breakfast is standard, but the stetting for its serving (a balcony with amazing view) makes it unforgettable.

I can warmly recommend the hotel & this location on Lake Grada. It is a small lovely town with local shops, galleries & even some nice fashionable clothing boutiques. Monday morning the market comes to town & the whole town is filled with stands selling everything you could imagine. The hotel is located on the bay & benefits from views of the anchored yachts & sailing boats.
It is a historic family run hotel & it has a warm nice feel to it. The room was dated & could benefit from modernisation but it gave us everything we need. We stayed in room 101 that had a great balcony with a table & chairs, overlooking the buy. The only problem was the adjoining balcony of the restaurant that meant that at the times that the restaurant is open (for breakfast & dinner) you cannot sit on the balcony without looking at somebody’s food plate. If this bothers you ask for room 102 that has also a nice balcony but is farther away. The hotel has a good restaurant at the entrance to the hotel serving food & drinks all day & a more exclusive restaurant on the first floor with a balcony to the bay where you have your breakfast & is open for dinner. We enjoyed eating in both restaurants, the food is nice & the service is excellent. We will definitely come back.

Charming hotel in Authentic Italian Lake Village

Hotel Ristorante Gardesana is a jewel of a hotel situated in an idyllic village on Lago Di Garda. We splurged for a balcony room overlooking the plaza and marina. We enjoyed watching the sun set over the mountains on the other side of the lake as we sipped wine on the balcony. Breakfast which was varied, plentiful and absolutely superb was served on a balcony overlooking the lake. The village, Torri Di Benaco, has a castle/fortress dating to the tenth century, as well as, prehistoric drawings on large rock faces in the hills directly east of the town. While there were numerous German speaking tourists there, we were the only U.S. citizens. If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience, Hotel Ristorante Gardesana in Torri Di Benaco is a great choice for a short getaway.

Everything was great. Great service (especially from the owner), great gated parking service for free (150 meters away from the Hotel), great cleaning, good breakfast, good standard overall. The location is probably the best thing. You have a Ferry just outside the hotel, the area is not that crowded, nice live music in the evenings that stops at reasonable hours. The list goes on. Recommended for sure!

Accoglienza eccezionale con addirittura minicar da per parcheggio (sicuro e chiuso con cancello) e soprattutto BOTTIGLIA DI SPUMANTE BRUT fatta recapitare in camera per la festeggiata (era il suo compleanno!). Tutto il Personale gentilissimo efficientissimo e umanamente squisito!.

Nel cuore di Torri, curato ed elegante albergo. Stanze con bella vista sul porticciolo e sul lago. Alcune stanze però, comunque belle, sono raggiungibili con scale, in caso di problemi motori segnalare.

Underbart mitt i centrum

Underbart litet hotell mitt i händelsernas centrum.
Vi hade ett rum med stor balkong och kunde sitta ute och lyssna på sorlet av människor och kvittret av småfåglar. Mycket människor i rörelse men det blev aldrig högljutt, utan man kunde sova med balkongdörren öppen.
Rummen allmänna i storlek och komfort. AC finns men var avstängd. Frukost riktigt bra med personal som snabbt hjälpte till.
Plus för gratis parkering inom grindar.

Haus mit Geschichte in toller Lage am See

Das Hotel ist ein gediegenes Haus, das in einem Gebäude mit langer Geschichte untergebracht ist. Die Lage direkt am Hafen/ See in Torri del Benaco ist hervorragend (man sollte sich ein Zimmer mit Balkon gönnen). Die Zimmer wurden frisch renoviert. Sehr aufmerksames, kompetentes und freundliches Personal. vielfältiges und wertiges Frühstück. Das Haus liegt in einer autofreien Zone des Ortes; an der Hauptstraße auf einem abgeschlossenen Platz gibt es Parkplätze; hat man viele Gepäck werden die Gäste von dort per Golf-Car abgeholt. Immer wieder!

Hervorzuheben sind zwei Dinge: Die Lage des Hauses mit dem Blick vom Balkon und das Frühstück sind fantastisch.
Herausragend ist sicher Stefanie, die mit ihrer Art und ihrem Bemühen beim Frühstück für den besten Start in den Tag sorgt.

Ansonsten klaffen Anspruch und Wirklichkeit manchmal auseinander ... unter anderem würden wir in solch einem Haus erwarten, dass zumindest eine Flasche Wasser mit zwei Gläsern auf dem Zimmer zu finden sind. Auch die angegebene Minibar ist leider nur ein leerer Kühlschrank ...

Alles in allem kann man sich aber im Albergo Gardesana wohl fühlen und einen schönen Urlaub am Gardasee verbringen.
