The only person working was an older gentleman that didn’t seem like he wanted to be there at all. The bed linens were supposed to be white but they were stained yellow, the floor was filthy, the connecting door to the room next door knob was broken off and you could see straight into the next room (which was occupied) so we had to hang a shirt over it for some privacy, the bathroom sink was clogged, there’s no parking options except paying for hourly street parking or paying $25 a night to park on their property but then you can’t take your car out until check out the next day. Basically you get what you pay for.

I booked for 2 nights and barely got through one. I expected the bare minimum and it being run down. What I didn’t expect was the complete filth in the room. It literally looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in 20 years. Hair, grime and dust all over the floor. I was very uncomfortable and left early. I’m thankful I didn’t get bed bugs. So there’s that.

This property was chosen because of its location. This property is a brief walk to Rehoboth beach. The gentleman allowed us to park for free.
Location and free parking were the two selling points for us. The space we rented was considered an apartment. It was acceptable. We stayed two nights. The family and I had a blast at the Beach.

The best and only thing about this place is the location. And I have to say that the staff was helpful but that's it. It's old, falling apart and dirty and did i mention dirty, very dirty and my room smelled. I didn't want to stay there but it's none refundable and I didn't have money to go anywhere else. I can't believe that hotels.com even has this place on here. I've been to lots of hotels all over the world and this was my worst experience. When I got there my blanket was dirty so they had me a new one, why was my blanket even dirty. I'm just checking in. Then, asked for a broom to sweep, then a mop. I had to mop 4 times to get the floor clean. Then I wiped the room down because it was dusty. The bathroom ceiling has a hole and was covered up with a board. There's so much of i went into every little detail i would be worrying a book. I tried to make the best of it but I ended up leaving one day early. I just couldn't take it anymore. I do not recommend this place.

The room was in ruff shape smoke alarm was hanging by a wire, big hole was in the bathroom door, wires hanging from tv, walls were marked up, people were screaming at each other in the middle of the night. Parking was another $25. Good location but in need of a good remodel.

Fine for the inexpensive cost. The lobby and room were dirty. The clerk was helpful once he came out of the back room. The toilet got plugged easily. I had to ask the clerk for a portable heater, which worked fine once I set it up.

Biggest bang for your buck

Whether you are at the beach for a getaway or here on business and just want a no-frills hotel just to lay your head at the end of the night, this is the place. I come to town a lot for business, and I spend my days visiting clients. At the end of the day I just want a place to sleep. I don't need a bar (there are plenty within walking distance), a pool (the ocean is a block away), or other amenities that would be needed where I travel elsewhere. If you're looking for the same - a place to just sleep at a decent price - look nowhere else.

The price is seriously half of what the cheapest hotels charge, but don't expect a hair dryer, iron, free breakfast, coffee in the lobby or anything else. As I stated above, this is a place with zero frills. However, even though the price may suggest, this is not a cheap roach-infested motel or a place that's been run down to bare bones minimum by a family from India. It's VERY clean! It's not super modern, but it is adequate. The owner is very friendly, compassionate, and accommodating - everything you would expect from a front desk person but much more personable. He's an everyday beach guy so don't expect someone to come out with a suit and tie. This isn't the Hilton and not intended to be.

It is the best place to stay in town for the money.

I was expecting a no-frills experience but not the level of simple neglect that made this place so dreary (and unhealthy). It takes no money and little effort to clean the window AC filters so mold isn't blown into the room, or sweep away dead leaves and cob webs near the ice machine, or put away the trash cans, metal bed frame and box spring that were blocking the entrance to the first floor apartments all weekend. Also, the moldy AC units triggered my asthma, so we left early and stayed with friends. Great location and very affordable but I'd think twice or three times before booking here again without inspecting if management has taken action to do basic maintenance.

Overall a very pleasant and convenient stay, although it was odd to have nobody around when I came in to check in (they did have the materials though and I did not need to do anything major). The owner, from the few times I spoke to him, was pleasant as well. Only drawback was that I heard somebody playing a trumpet one night and lots of chatter the next, but otherwise a nice place to stay.

Facts are facts and here are the facts.

Not family friendly, Very cheap for location, Dirty old building not well maintained

1 - Location for $120 a night, 3-5 min walk to beach and boardwalk.

2- Owner, once you get past the fact the guy is an a$$hole, has some pretty interesting stories to tell. Just act like you give a sh!t and he will tell you all about different places he has been.

3 - Bring a gun, its an open carry state. You'll need it to stay here.

4 - Bugs everywhere. Old building, building falling apart

5 - Dont expect much from A/C units. Mold covered and dont work very well

6 - Bring your own bedding. You dont want to sleep in the hotel issued bedding. Not clean, sandy, moldy, stain covered.

7 - Look up parking even if you paid the hotel for it. Owner doesnt care about you getting a parking ticket. Look up where to park and just for it your self. It will save you a 30 dollar + parking ticket.

8 - Local places to eat do not like to deliver here after 10pm. Many places like Grottos Pizza down right refused to deliver food here after dark.

9 - You are getting what you paid for. This is a hotel ( should be a flop house/hostel ) 1 block from the beach and boardwalk. never pay more than $75 per night for this.

10 - Does make for one heck of a story if you make it out alive.

I had rented for one night here due to an unexpected extension of our vacation. I knew that based on the price it would be basic and expected what I paid for. However, when I went to check in, I was greeted by a hanging roll of fly paper rather than a human. When I did check in, I was given a key and told that I needed to flip the breakers on myself. The room was meant to be non smoking, and had a non smoking sign on the door, but I was met with an overwhelming smell of smoke when I entered. There were cigarette butts between the windows and screens as well as bunched up dirty tissues. Even after flipping the breakers, the bedroom lights didn't turn on. There were squirrels running through the hallways of the property. Given the smoke and the fire hazard, it was unsafe for my kids to be in. When I approached the front desk, there was no response beyond \"ok, bye\"
I took the loss on the booking amount just to get my children somewhere safe. Please avoid this place at all costs.

The hotel is very run down. The apartment we stayed in had one double bed and one futon. It claimed to have two double beds. It did not. There was a lot of wear and tear on the room itself. The futon was very uncomfortable. The room itself was clean. They provided clean sheets and towels and pillows. The apartment had a fridge, stove and microwave in the kitchenette. There is no parking except street parking.

Everything was covered in dust. Sheets and towels were stained. Luckily I was only staying here for one night. The doors also did not have a deadbolt lock which I found to be strange. If you just need a bed and a shower it is adequate. I asked if there was wifi and I got a response of \"yes\" with no details... okay. Pretty sure the shower curtain and AC unit had mold in/on them. Absolutely no parking! On me, I arrived later than I had hoped but the hotel only had maybe 5 spaces available but were taken and all the street and meter parking was of course full, it took me over an hour to find a parking space after I checked in, lugging all my stuff in was not pleasant. Shower took forever to get hot but I was glad it was a hot shower.

I expected it to be the bare minimum. Just needed a bed and a shower which it had and that was it. The AC did not cool off the room, being in the 3rd floor was not comfortable. Our window faced the main road and the blinds did not close so no privacy. Parking was included at no extra cost.

Staff is nice. It’s one block from the beach so that is great. The room, however, looks like I would imagine an apartment used to cook meth in deep Appalachia would look. Lights hanging out the wall, mold, a futon with spring poking, unwashed floor/everything, general aroma of mold, a bathroom door that will not close let alone lock, ants, etc etc. use your imagination. Think flop house

Parking is less than desirable BUT it is the beach so it’s par for the course trying to locate street parking.

We will never stay here again.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke, the bathroom floor was soaking wet with foot prints upon check in, the sheets were visibly dirty, the ac unit was very moldy, there was a dirty shirt in front of the beds head board from a previous guest staying there, the stairs and decking are falling apart, and finally a piece of brick mold from the door going inside the building fell on my head as I was standing outside.

Horrible property in a great location. The room was tiny, the beds were crooked and there was a nine inch gap between the bed and headboard. The floor was dirty, there were crumbs on the sofa, there were debris on the bathroom floor, stains on the wall and the shower curtain, there was no overhead light and one of the two lamps wasn't working. The mini fridge was the nightshade between the two beds, the bolt was broken, the bathroom door was peeling off and the bathroom grout was moldy. The electrical outlet in the bathroom was broken and one of the outlets in the living room did not have a cover which is definitely a code violation. Extremely sloppy and I would be ashamed if I owned this place.

From the moment i pulled up, i had a sick feeling in my stomach. This is after getting a text message from a random personal number asking about when i would be there for check in. The entire interaction with the staff member at the office for check in felt off as well. The cheap security cameras everywhere were very off putting. I felt as though i was being watched every second, even in the room. Then we walk through a small hallway with a 55 gallon trash can blocking most of the hallway. The doors to the rooms seemed to be either very cheap, or interior doors. The doors had only a keyed knob, and what appeared to be a public bathroom style slide lock inside. The room was hardly bigger than the bed, which every piece of bedding was stained and had black crumbs and specks everywhere. The room was generally dirty too with dust and crumbs all over and visible mildew in the ac unit. I felt such a strong feeling of unease while at this property. I am a Marine veteran and don't often have the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, but this place did it. My fiance and i felt as though we were going to either be trafficked or worse at this location. We left and never returned. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone

Yikes, filthy room!
Dirty stained floor --walking in bare feet turned the bottom of my feet black. Black mold inside the mini fridge. Old napkins left in corners. Very dirty filter in A/C unit. And broken window shade leaving 20 inches of window exposed, and me with no privacy, or shade. Stained towels.
Close to beach or low price is no excuse for filth. This is a small beach town -- everything is close to the beach. Why is this place renting out dirty rooms?

I think this place may be an old convent. The room is very small. I don't need much - just a place to sleep. Cold outside and the rooms have no heat so a space heater was issued. It did the job. Place is clean but old and very outdated. Attendant allowed late checkout so I could shower after running the local marathon. Location is great - walking distance to main attractions. All this is acceptable to me - however the noise barrier was terrible. Can hear pedestrians outside talking. Other is rooms above, next door, seemed like they were in the same room. Need earbuds here to get some good sleep.

Room was filthy. Refrigerator had stinky water laying in the bottom of it. Trash bags in trash cans were reused. Floor was dirty and carpet had dirt and hair on it. Kitxhen counter had crumbs and spills on it. Microwave was so disgusting with food and grease that there was bo way we were going to use it!...Only thing clean was the bed sheets and the towels.
Water poured in under the entrance door for 2 days due to it was raining,which flooded the kitchen floor. Out of 2 space heaters only 1 worked. Half inch gap between the window jam and the window in the living room area which let wind in all night. Entrance door DID NOT LOCK from the outside so anyone could have gone in when we left to go enjoy the town! I have never stayed in a place this unclean. Next time i will pay $9.00 more and stay at one of the other local hotels. It was so bad,I came home and threw all my clothes in the washer,coat and shoes too! Live and learn!!!

I hope you don’t pay summer rates for this place

We booked a room during off-season. Though this hotel is located in an upscale area of Rehoboth, it is a dump. The owner /manager of the place was kind, but I wish I had booked elsewhere. They had turned off the heat so we were forced to use a small space heater - the temperature outside was 38 degrees. There were no bugs, but the sheets and bedspread were of questionable cleanliness

We could not stay at this place. It was filthy. It was a 10 x 12 room for four women and it was very unsafe for women and the doors propped open with big cigarette butts containers buckets. I lost 100 bucks. This is ridiculous to take money to have somebody stay there. The shower was a 2 x 4 it was horrible so we packed our stuff up and left and the gentleman just grabbed the key and threw the envelope away and said OK.

We stayed for two nights, the hotel is very well located and the price was affordable. Unfortunately, the building is poorly maintained, the room was very small with a small fridge and a microwave, the bed sank in the middle and it was impossible to sleep, there was no coffee maker, it looked dirty, the next morning we went to the reception to make a coffee and the coffee machine was broken, not to mention the appearance of the reception. I am a positive person and I have read negative reviews but they turned out to be exactly the truth. A shame because a well-maintained hotel would be beautiful.

Owner/employee not attending front desk as listed hours unattended, bed bug in room on first morning waking up, did not get parking pass from anyone for 24 hrs after arriving and go two parking citations, had negative experience with employee and bed bugs and owner does not offer refund for a major issue such as bugs, dirty rooms, outside of building was very dirty cobwrbs etc very unclean will NEVER stay there again, i recommend noone does unless you want bugs or mahor issues with the stay and staff

The room needed a good sweep, but clean otherwise. Very uncomfortable bed and there were no towels in the bathroom. When I asked about towels I was pointed to the service closet to get my own. I paid for parking on the property but was not allowed to keep my car there after check out even though I paid for the day. I was told other guests needed the space despite the website showing almost all the rooms available. All I can say is that there is a reason why the hotel has vacancy all summer.

It was small and quiet and my lover and I had no issues. We didnt want to spend much on lodging and this place was awesome for as cheap as it was.

It’s the perfect spot for what you’re paying for. On the same block as the beach. Owner was super cool and check in was incredibly easy. Would definitely go back for another night!

Get what you pay for with this one.

This is a room in building for rent, not a hotel. Could barely fit past the bed to get to bathroom. The key to the door was not working and the gentle men knew it and text me just jingle and wiggle it no lie. He came and opens door. Was defiantly a very different setting.

The location was close to the boardwalk. Rooms was hot because everything was unplugged. Shower was falling in and unsafe. There was rust everywhere and stains all over the ceiling.

This property is NOSTALGIC ! Reminds me of when I was a kid and stayed in an old house just like this. It's the charm, regardless of the fact that there were absolutely NO upgraded renovations, it didn't matter to me. Dan is a friendly host. It's incredibly convenient to anywhere you'd like to go in downtown Rehoboth Beach. And there is access to your own parking space. Thanks for the FLASHBACK Dan.

I don’t think they changed the bed sheets or the comforter because there was a toe nail and hair on the bed and the comforter is stained and dirty

You get what you pay for

I am considered handicapped yet my room was on the third floor and I had to walk up steps. The bed was uncomfortable. I kept feeling like the springs were poking me. Location was great near beach & boardwalk. Parking tag only allowed me to park in certain spaces along the street which were often filled.
