I seldom give a negative review and hope that this review is objective and not overly biased by a few shortcomings:
1. The room was cramped with a kingsize bed leaving 12 inches on one side and 24 inches on the other.
2. There was one wooden “kitchen chair” set beside the bed on the 24 inch side, very cramped. There was a small nightstand, but no table or credenza at which to sit.
3. The sheets on the bed looked like they had not been washed, but just remade after an earlier occupant. This was also evidenced by two 8 inch long black hairs between the sheets; we are both older, gray-haired, with very short (2 inch max) hair.
4. The light on the wall above the bed had a damaged, unsightly shade.
5. Paint had peeled in several spots on the walls and the baseboards looked tacky and ill-fitting in places.
6. The bathroom was OK, not fancy, but seemed clean. I liked that it had a walk-in shower rather than a tub, but we didn’t use the shower - we saved bathing for our next stop at a nicer facility.
7. It’s no fault of the person behind the desk, but obviously English was a second language and that person was difficult to understand. However, I admire anyone who can communicate in multiple languages, even with limited understandability!
8. The big sign on the street in front claimed complementary breakfast. We left a few minutes after 6 AM and the door was locked at that time, so we missed whatever breakfast was offered. It’s understandable that breakfast may have opened later.

A decent stop on the road that will fit an overnight stay. Do not expect much for a continental breakfast and with what they charge per night, this might be something to address, considering it is highlighted on their sign. The owner was nice and would stay again, but wanted to point out an area of improvement.

Staff was not present on check in . Room was ok but terribly noisy. You could hear phone and alarm in next room. AC WAS VERY LOUD and kicked on and off all night . Road noise very loud. Went to get coffee and a roll and there was no coffee or food. Was told it was continental breakfast. No staff; just a box with sign saying key drop. Rang bell, no one came. Very disappointed.

The owners were very accommodating to our truck parking and our dogs. She warned us the last room (one of the dog options) was very loud because of traffic, honestly I think most rooms will hear traffic, we were second room in and definitely did. The AC basically runs constantly (one of those loud hotel AC units) so that took care of traffic noise, but if you can’t sleep with background noise it would be rough. Again, the staff was great, room was clean- shower could use a deep clean. But it was ok for a quick overnight.

Filthy. The light switch on the wall runs the bedside lamps, which are not plugged in the refrigerator microwave air conditioner and TV are all plugged into one wall socket and they keep them unplugged so they don’t show it out. There’s no place else to plug in a cell phone, a laptop, anything You pull out the bed to plug in something? It is filthy underneath the bed behind the hotel and next to the hotel is trash everywhere. There’s no place to take your pet. I have a service dog and there was nothing available. There’s a sign on the front lawn. Do not use for pets. It is run my Indians and they don’t speak English very well. Spend the money and go somewhere else.

The room was tiny. No room to walk around the bed and bathroom was worse.
The floor of our room needs to be swept and mopped. Our socks were so dirty from just walking in the room.
It is a very old facility with no upkeep or upgrades. Reminds me of the old motels one would pay $25-30 tops.

Can't share any views about this stay or property due to the fact no one greeted us at the front desk to check us in. We rang the service bell several times. After 15 minutes of waiting for someone, we left and checked at the Bestwestern across the street. I even tried calling the Western Skies hotel. All I got was an AI that couldn't help me.

The front desk clerk was friendly and efficient. The issue we had was our room was the one closest to the road and it was just too noisy for me to relax and sleep comfortably. When a semi drove by it was a bit unnerving. Probably not an issue for sound sleepers, but didnt work for me.

Worst night I have ever had at a hotel, they failed to mention that the room they put us in was right next to the main road, had 18 wheelers shaking the walls and bed about every 3 min all night long. Got maybe 10min of sleep for a 15 hour drive. Do not recommend

When I checked the mattress, as I always do in any motel, I was horrified! Bugs, horrible "you can guess" stains all over it, even dried up bug parts, dirt and leaves, as if they drug this mattress out of a homeless camp. It was disgusting. We left immediately! We didn't go to the front office, we just ran out as fast as we could, thankful that we didn't take in luggage yet. We did not request a refund, we just wanted out of that place. This is actually the first time, in 40 years of traveling, we've EVER LEFT a motel! (and we travel ALOT!) THAT is how bad it was. Do not stay here!

I dont meant to be mean, but at 5am we were woken up by 2 bugs crawling on my husband chest.We jump out of bed and put the little creatures in a container we collected4 more on the floor.I strip off the bed and the cover on the mattress was like molded and stainit was quite an a .experence.The room look clean but it was cheap needly to say we wont stay there again.

Okay- I cannot give this a good rating and generally I am pretty generous or forgiving-

Good things-
It was $69 total.
Like the ease of access
Most of the bath is completely renovated- except the shower floor

Things that will keep me from returning:
1- door felt completely insecure - see pic
2 - the colors are terrible - see pic.
3- sheets were new but the blankets in the bed looked to be old
4- air conditioning unit is the old loud kind, that cools marginally
4- took a shower didn’t have my flip flops, when I dried my leg, I put my leg in the bed to dry my calves and I left a foot print on the white sheet - no idea where the dirt came from - either the shower floor or the room floor
5 - there was one chair in the room that was so stained I didn’t dare sit in it.

So in this case- I got what I paid for but I won’t pay it again. I will pay a bit more and sleep easy.

This property is right on the highway so you here every truck, every car that goes by. The bathtub faucet leaked all the time. Paint was coming off the walls. It is a motel, so you drive right up to the door of your room. No coffee in the rooms. The lobby smelled like gasoline or turpentine. There is a sign that says you can't walk your dogs on the grass and there is no other grass around the property. The front end receptionist allowed us to anyway as long as we picked up after the dog. The staff however, were excellent!

what you see is not what you get

The onsite woman was very friendly....but the lobby was in disarray...(Looked nothing like the pics...and there was no coffee or breakfast. The first room we were given. had no lights or easily worked door lock....the second room ended up looking better but the floor was filthy... My grands white socks were literally blackened....no lie. I should have photoed them...

Room 141 was great!

The room was small, but that was fine. It had a fridge and a microwave. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The AC worked great and provided constant sound that drowned out all other noise.(very nice!) I felt safe, and Sonic is right next door. I'd absolutely stay there again.

Was in the family room had no heat in the bathroom was ice cold in there the water from the tub was yellow no plugs for my kids to take a bath room heater did not keep the room warm. Over priced for the quality of the room. The person that painted it didnt know how to tape anything the windows had paint all over. The door had no lock on it. If i pass that way again ill look for another hotel.

This is an old-school vintage motor lodge to stop at for the night. Nothing fancy at all but perfectly adequate to get a good night's sleep. There are two options in Clarendon and the other one I'm sure is much more modern and corporate-chain comfortable, but it's twice the price so I will always choose this option when I stop here overnight.

The room I had was off to the side and not a standard room, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower faucet was short and the fixtures were old, but the pressure and hot water were nice. There were a few broken tiles in the bathroom, but it was clean. Nice room to just sleep and clean up after driving.

Pictures are extremely deceiving. Room was super small as well as the shower. Bathroom sink and shower drains were very slow. In ankle deep dirty water by time shower was finished. Front desk person didn’t speak English. Just kept adding things on the calculator and pointing to it.

The app said $71.00 that was tax and fees included. When i arrived, it was now $80.00. The bed was hard, springs not wearing thru, but you knew they were there. It was sooo hot in the room. Checked in after 9pm, the window air conditioner was on low and 78° it took half the night to cool off. The lady working was nice.

Floor was sticky, shower needed to be cleaned again, outlets in room not working so hostess brought a ln extension cord and moved the bed over to expose a plug (bug it was loose so i had to prop a chair against the cord so it would stay plugged in). Was locked out of my room in the morning but hostess came righr away when i rang the doorbell. She said that if it gets close to my cell phone it magnetizes ...which would have been nice to know when checking in the day before.

Okay place for the price

I don’t mind an older motel, most are quite charming. This one, not so much. I liked the renovations to the extra and even the bed chamber was decent. I’m not a fan of vinyl flooring even though I understand it’s cost effective for the owners, but I felt I was sleeping in a kitchen. The bathroom didn’t look renovated and thank goodness I looked before stepping into the shower stall as it was a step down that was unexpected. Overall it was decent for the price but I will probably choose a pricier hotel next door the next time I come in. Update the bathrooms and offer a complimentary breakfast and it will greatly improve the motels charm.

Tried this hotel a second time, and was just as disappointed. Rooms are very dated, (as in 1950ish), and had a weird smell to it. Both my husband and I wanted to take a shower after arriving, but the mold/mildew in the shower was just too much. Bathroom fixtures look like they haven't been updated since 1965. Bed was very uncomfortable. No coffee in the room. Yes, it was cheap, but not worth it. Will not stay there again.

I understand this is a modest motel in a rural location. The noise from the highway was considerable. My bed vibrated and made noise all night long and I could not figure out how to turn it off. The window unit heater was fierce and the room was more comfortable without it. The shower is very short and the towels are much too small for a large man. I appreciate the price but this hotel is rated much too high online and the high rating is false and wrong.

Not worth it- needs new sheets & towels at least

The front desk service was kind and helpful. I will say though that I’ve stayed at less expensive motels while on a budget that were much nicer than this. Everything is very old and used including the towels. The sheets were clean but so old they were shredding and had stains that made me cringe. The AC was too loud to run and sleep at the same time. Some serious TLC needs to be put into the place to bring it up to even just acceptable pleasant standards. It may have been charming in the 1950’s but honestly is just plain run down now.
