Rooms are tight for a family of 4. Location is great, but the hotel is hard to find. Clearer directions and parking options would be really helpful as there is not available parking at the property.
Breakfast is very limited, but the cafe facilities are very nice.

The Laon Hanok Gguljam is a great place to stay. It is walking distance to the major attractions. Breakfast is offered in a separate room. You have to prepare it yourself as usual in Korea. You carry your tray to your room and return it after breakfast. Then you have to wash up your dishes. The staff is friendly. The even drove me to the station when I left.

Called to check in - patron said no English and hang up, had to get staff at our Seoul hotel to call them on our behalf.
Weather was warm but the underfloor heating was switched on full making sleeping the in the room impossible.
Security on front door was via keypad _ security on side door consisted of a spoon to hold the lock shut and nothing else.
We were there for 3 nights - bin provided for the toilet waste was never changed/emptied.
Looks good on pictures but reality is somewhat different :(

It was a good stay. Nice coffee in the morning.
The parking was a bit weird though. We bought a parking coupon that didn't work so we ended up paying 36,000 won which was less than ideal.
Perhaps directions and clear instructions on parking can be sent ahead of time.

Pro:
Is located in the Hanok village. It was really convenient and there’s a coffee shop above and you get a discount for staying at hotel.
The view is spectacular. If you’re looking for a korean style stay this is it. You will be sleeping on the floor with very soft blankets.
The owner was very friendly as well. A small Community kitchen-net is available if you need to get water or out items in the fridge.
Cons:
No parking.
The garbage cans were not properly wash and it smelled like poopoo from other people because they place their toilet there and hotel do not place plastic bags in them. Rooms are very tiny.
Also, just an advice if you suffer from back problems do not stay in this kind of hotels. You will be miserable at night time.

But overall it was a good experience

The room is really comfortable And cosy despite being a little bit small. Overall we had a good 2 night rest. Floor is equipped with thermal heater to keep us warm during winter. Owner was really nice and provided a simple breakfast for us in his cafe. Although we reached the hanok very late at night after our flight + express bus, the owner waited for us to check in.

Located in a small lane, it was convenient and has the basic things you need. We stayed for 2 nights there and everything was fine. They have a heater installed if you feel cold, you can just turn it on. We turned if off after awhile and the floor was kept warm till the next morning. There is also can individual aircon installed in the room so you can turn it on if you feel hot. Toilet was kind of small but just right for 2 person.

The boss was really nice, explained the things we had to take note of and there is also simple breakfast provided at their cafe just above the rooms. Would be a little troublesome if you have heavy/large luggages as you have to lift it up the platform of the room.

Everything was good and we enjoyed our stay as a whole!

Great location, but just beside a main road, so you will hear trucks and buses at night if you sleep with the inner door opened. We went with our 5-year-old and the location and facilities were great for our needs. Room is a bit smaller than a regular hotel though, there was just enough room for our 2 medium-sized bag packs, and we stayed only a night. Will stay there again if we go back to Jeonju.

The owner was friendly, but this is not a hotel so don't expect someone to answer to your needs anytime. We checked out in the morning around 7 am and there was nobody to answer or confirm the check out, and no one was there to help us call a taxi. The room was not big, I would say it could house up to two people but no more than that.

I think May is a good month to stay in the Hanok. Although the property has A/C, which you will need it at night if you prefer to sleep with your doors closed, during the day it's so comfortable to sit near the door and just let the sun shine in. Laon is also very close to the main streets of Hanok village, so you can get around very easily. The hosts are very nice people and their cafe on the rooftop is just perfect to start/end your day at. I really enjoyed my stay there. One small suggestion - if you can place a small water bottle in each room so that the guest can help themselves with the water in the kitchen.

Lovely owner and a unique experience. However, had a lot of trouble locating this place as it shows up differently on all maps as Raon Hanok Kkkuljam. Cab drivers all had no idea how to get there either as there are so many! Perhaps in future a pre-arrival email/contact will help foreigners find the place.

Staying at Laon was the highlight of my stay in Jeon Ju. It is a beautiful, authentic Han-Ok in a great location in Han-Ok Village.

Our rooms were impeccably clean and cozy. Each room is for max of 2 guests. The hotel staff is also so friendly and accommodating. The upstairs cafe is also charming and beautiful, overlooking the rooftops of Han-Ok village. The simple breakfast and coffee at the cafe was an added bonus and a great start to the day. The cafe is also located on a main street with very easy access to cabs.

I'd highly recommend this spot for anyone! Such a beautiful and reasonably priced hotel!

Amazing traditional Hanok room. Sleep on a futon on the floor, surprisingly comfortable. Room has under floor heating. Functional wet room too. The WiFi is superb and it’s located right in the traditional village. The guy who checked us in was really friendly spoke really great English. Didn’t bother with breakfast as there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

The host are friendly and understanding. Althought we are late check in due the flight schedule but he still give us a very good service...easy to communicate in english and give us excellent direction guide so that we are not wasting time and complete our trip.

Very friendly staff. The owner would explain everything about the place as soon as you check in. Also, it is in very good location. Parking is very near and affordable. The room was very clean but a bit small. However it is a perfect size if you do not have kids. Complementary breakfast is very simple but good. I would absolutely recommend this place!!

Loved it. Traditional yet. Charming experience. Host was awesome. He went out if his way to make our stay enjoyable. Continental breakfast was appreciated, and we still went out for breakfast, but didn't have to rush because we had a little something to get us by. Recommend as the price is low and the experience was a great one. Very very clean. Also private bath was a plus, extremely clean bathroom. Would stay again at Laon Hanok.

Good hotel for one-night Hanok stay

Nice option for a one-night stay at a \"traditional\" hanok (building is new but made to resemble a traditional Korean hanok, as are most other buildings in Jeonju's hanok village). The room was small as it should be, but clean and comfortable: a good mattress and pillows are important if you're sleeping on the floor! Main drawback was the bathroom, as the Korean style shower in a corner over the sink was uncomfortable even by Korean standards, and toiletries were lacking: shampoo, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste were provided, but nothing else was (not even a glass in the room, and no big towels but only hand towels). Overall this is not too important if you're staying just one night, but would probably be uncomfortable for longer stays. The location is good, but be prepared to ask around upon arrival as the place is somewhat hidden in a secluded alley. The staff was friendly and speaks good English, and was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Breakfast is in the nicely set cafe upstairs, which is also open to the public, and was frugal but good (coffee, milk, orange juice, toast, jam and some fruit). However, it is only served from 9 to 10, so don't count on it if you want an early start. Probably won't be coming back to Jeonju, but could recommend the place to someone else.

Owner is a very warm person and he makes us feel at home. Every detail was well taken care of and he ensured we had everything we needed. Laon Hanok is a new and beautiful place and we highly recommend anyone who wants to experience Jeonju Hanok Village in a full package. Location is perfect and everywhere is just a short walk away. A simple breakfast was provided every morning and the view from the cosy cafe was a highlight. Thank you for your kind hospitality!

가성비와 한옥마을 인근 그리고 한옥숙박을 원하시면 괜찮습니다. 다만, 한옥 방 자체가 호텔과 비교할수는 없을거 같네요. 화장실이 있는 원룸으로 보시면 됩니다. 제가 이용했던 숙소는 수건도 알아서 더 채워주시고, 사장님이 잘 관리하시는거 같았습니다.

깨끗하지도 안깨끗 하지도 않은..숙소 컨디션

한옥마을이라 주차장 없는건 알고 있었지만 유모차나 짐 많으신 분들은 참고하세요. 짐 옮기기가 쉽지 않고요~ 비 오는 날이면 유모차 안으로 넣어놔야 하니 그것도 어렵네요ㅠㅠ 이동과 보관 모두 어려웠어요.
방에 냉장고도 없어서 보냉가방에 이유식 가져간건 상할까봐 편의점에서 얼음 사다가 보관 했어요. 공용냉장고가 있어도 요즘은 세상이 무서워서 먹을건 두기가 좀 꺼려지더라구요. 온돌바닥 청소상태는 좋았으나 타월에 얼룩이 얼룩이ㅋㅋㅋ김치 국물 닦는 무개념 투숙객들 있나요? 그런데 있다해도 얼룩이 지워지지 않았으면 다음 투숙객에서 제공되지 말아야죠. 한두장도 아니고 검은얼룩 붉은색얼룩 누런색얼룩 가지가지였네요. 욕실 상태는 좁긴해도 청소상태는 양호해요. 단 환기구는 따로 없어서 방을 통해 환기가 되어야 합니다ㅠㅠ

Cet Hanok est très bien situé au cœur du quartier traditionnel de Jeonju. Petit déjeuner très classique mais convenable. La chambre est assez petite et les futon restent des futon donc ne sont pas très confortables, mais si vous cherchez une expérience traditionnelle, vous serez servis !

갑자기 결정된 여행으로 급하게 찾다가 알게된
곳이에요 가격도 저렴하고 아기가 있어 온돌이 편하더라고여 방크기도 아담하고 딱 좋았어요 특유의 한옥 향이났는데 저는 괜찮더라고요 에어컨도 시원하고 침구도 청결하고 좋은향도 나고요 방이 붙어있다보니 10시넘어서 시끄러운 여행객들이 있지만 그런거 감안해야할듯해여 사장님도 엄청 친절하시고요 이가격에 조식까지 너무 좋아요 나중에 전주 방문하면 또 올거같아오

주차장은 좀 멀리있어서 근처 갓길에 주차했고

호텔만 사용하다 한옥체험해보자고...게스트하우스 처음이용해봤더니...호텔예약안한걸 후회함. 좁고 답답하고 방음x. 조식도...기대가 컸나..실망도 컸음. 차라리 주변에 마당있는 집..찾으세요.많이 답답함

결혼기념 여행

한옥마을안에 있어서 접근성이 좋았고, 합리적인 가격에 조식까지 포함~

겨울가족여행

성인 네명이 묵었는데요 후기에서 본대로 네명에게는 좀 작아요 하지만 성인여자 네명이라면 괜찮아요 방이 황토찜질방같은구조라서 매우 뜨겁습니다 어머니가 찜질방이라고 매우좋아하셨어요 방문을살짝열어놓으니 바닥은 뜨끈 공기는시원하고 과일먹고 놀았어요 그리고 주인 남자분 엄청친절하세요 핸드폰연락하면 바로 와주세요 저는늦잠자느라 조식 빼먹었는데 왜아침먹으러안왔는지 물어보시더라구요 기억력도 완전좋으심^^ 다른데 가본데는 부엌에서 아침 차려먹고 설거지해놓고 나오는구조였는데 여기준인분이 2층에서 카페를하셔서 여기서 전부준비해주시고 먹고 그냥나오면됩니다 카페뷰도좋았어요
간단요약. 넓은방이아니어도괜찮고 찜질방좋아하시는분께 추천ㅡ

조식 제공이 좋았고 2층 카페에서 보는 한옥마을 경치가 맘에 들었습니다.
다만, 1층 객실은 4인이 쓰기에는 좀 작은 편이었고 방음이 거의되지 않아 불편합니다.

상냥한 사장님 맛있는 조식 겨울 베스트 온돌

저는 2월에 갔었는데 온돌방 정말 따뜻하고 좋았어요 좋았던 기억에 지금이라도 후기 남겨요 저렴한 방에 온돌 따뜻하고 맛있는 조식 이용팁 알려주시는 상냥한 사장님(?)... 최고에요 전주 또 간다면 꼭 여기서 또 자고싶어요
다만 문 잠그는게 좀 불편했어요 그것외엔 가격 위치 친절 서비스 전부 굿!

내집에 에쁜 카페가 있는 느낌이라 좋았고 조식도 좋았다. 위치적으로 너무 한옥마을 복잡한 중간이 아니라 좋았음. 바닦요가 좀 푹신하지 않은편이라 하루이상 자기는 좀 불편할 듯.

황토. 편백나무. 그리고 한옥

한옥마을은 전반적으로 방이 좁습니다.
거울이 작아서 조금 불편했어요.
화장실에 콘센트가 없어서 방에서 드라이기를 썼어요.
한옥 특성 상 방음이 잘 안됩니다. 가족 여행객이 많아 이른 저녁부터 조용히 해야해요.

나무랄때 없는 숙박이였습니다..

예약을 잘못해 회사 끝나고 부랴부랴 식구들 데리고 전주로 고고.. 12시 넘어 도착해 주인분을 뵙지는 못했지만..문자로 상세히 알려주셔서 어려움 없이 방에 입성.. 넓은 편은 아니지만 여자 4명이 지내기 넘 딱이였어요.. 방바닥이 넘 따따해서 피곤한 몸 뉘우니 바로 꿈나라 입성했네요.. 아침에 일어나 2층 카폐에서 한옥 배경으로 간단한 조식 굿입니다.. 모처럼 떠난 가족여행 넘 즐거웠습니다.
