You have to self check in. I was lucky 2 local ladies helped me. One of them called the reception and the receptionist just gave the lady the padlock numbers to open my room door. And the walkway outside the room is muddy. Not a well maintain hanok. This is not the first hanok I stayed in Jeonju. I will not come back to this hanok again.

Es triste que mis vacaciones se hayan convertido en una pesadilla por culpa de esta propiedad, el baño estaba completamente sucio y las paredes llenas de moho, el cuarto apestaba a humedad y hacía mucho frío, todos los electrónicos estaban en koreano lo que es una pena ya que deberían traducir las instrucciones, las paredes eran muy finas y el ruido de los vecinos de cuarto se escuchaban claro en mi cuarto y para finalizar no había jabón y el inodoro estuvo haciendo ruido toda la noche lo que no permitió que descansáramos, en fin no lo recomiendo jamas fue una total pesadilla

Great place right in the middle of the village, which is amazing.

Quiet at night, but you can hear your neighbors through the wall, so it depends on who you get.

For those unused to sleeping on futons, they are quite thin and so if you don't like hard beds, you might not enjoy. The 2nd night, we asked for an extra grey back mattress and it was much better.

Location was superb. The owner/staff are quick to answer questions and offer their help. It’s true that the bedding is very uncomfortable. I had to fold my futon and it still was very hard. Also there was a lack of protection against mosquitos. I was very happy to leave this place after 2 nights because I got bit more than 6 times by blood hungry mosquitos at night.

It was such a unique experience staying in a Hanok within the Jeonju Hanok village. The property was located along a narrow street with no car access hence it was very quiet and peaceful. The check in was easy and fuss free. The futon provided was sufficiently padded for me and I found it comfortable to sleep on the floor. The floor heating also works well and I could feel it from through the futon (would be important during colder seasons). Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Sweet little Hanok villa room.

The owner is very helpful with tips on food and places to visit. He is on hand to help us with booking of taxi when we needed one. He texted all information needed to get there before our trip.This Hanok villa is very beautiful and authentic and there are only four rooms where we stayed. It is smack
in the middle of the Hanok village and within walking distance to eateries and interesting places to visit.
The futon is too thin though so I had to fold it in 2 to feel more comfortable. I hope they provide at least a couple of cups in the room even though there is a kettle.

・Overall : Considering it's a Korean traditional house, It was okay as a one-time accommodation experience.
・Rate : a little pricey (considering other options such as normal hotel)
・Service : The host is kind and they care about guests.
・Comfort : has calm and Korean traditional surroundings but you have to be quiet because your neighbors can easily hear you.
・Location : Fantastic.

The place is a very cozy traditional Korean home at the heart of the Hanok village. Very convenient to walk around and explore the area as well as close to public parking. It is small as expected, but has all the necessities and everything works very well. My room had a loft, which can accommodate two more people. I love the traditional heated floor and the tiny rear “balcony”! It may feel a bit cramped and uncomfortable for westerners (hard floor, no furniture)

Great stay in an amazing location. The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. It was amazing being right in the middle of the hanok village but on a quiet, attractive side street.

Just be aware that the futons are not very thick, and you might not sleep well if you are a side sleeper. I woke up sore in the morning because I am more used to Western-style mattresses. It's probably just as comfortable as staying in any of the traditional hanok, but just be aware of this issue before you book. I'm still glad I stayed there for the experience, but two nights was enough.

Beautiful traditional hanok room and a great host!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in mid-July. Although the village was full of people, this guesthouse is on a quiet side street and was very peaceful. The room is elegantly simple and quite comfortable. We were the only couple there at the time, so I can't say what it would be like with others staying nearby, but the atmosphere is serene. The owner, YK, was wonderfully helpful and had all sorts of great recommendations for places to eat and things to do; we really appreciated his suggestions and concern about our visit. We did not have a loft room, but if you wanted a bit more space, that would be a good choice. Thank you for making our stay in Jeonju memorable, YK!

Nicely positioned Hanok, easy to find with owners multiple messages and maps prior to our arrival. Met and walked through the heating and door lock system. Very clean and tidy with the usual floor bedding. Our first night seemed to be full occupancy, and a little noisy, although not disturbing so. The following nights we were the only guests, so very quiet.
The bathroom was quite a good size, with deluxe heated bidet/toliet.
Overall, it was a good stay at this Hanok.

Lovely spot in the heart of Hanok village

This is a lovely little property right in the heart of the Hanok village. Very clean with a large, modern bathroom. We got a taxi from the train station to drop us off on the street in front of the Le Win hotel (one of the big ones there) and directly across the street from the hotel is a little alley with a small sign saying Gaeunchae. Go to the information counter at the station and they will give you a form in Korean to give to the driver telling him the address. No cars can access this alley. Just follow it along for 1min and you'll find the house easily. Google maps offline worked well for us. We never met the owner (too much sightseeing!) but he sent me on Whatsapp lots of info about places to eat and visit. All his recommendations were great! Be aware that you are sleeping on traditional mattresses on the floor, so while this isn't always the most comfortable, it is part of the experience. The room is also not a large American hotel size, so accept that as part of the experience too. The heated floors make it lovely and cozy, there's TV with an English movie channel, and we really appreciated the early check in (not always available on busy weekends).

Really nice, comfortable stay. The location was excellent for exploring the village, and while it was tucked away off a main street, it was very easy to find. Cars cannot drive on the road that the entrance is on, but it's a very short walk (about 1 minute) to the road where a taxi cab drop you off if coming from the train or bus station. The car-free atmosphere adds to the charm of the place. The proprietors were there to get us settled in and gave some restaurant tips, all of which were great. I would stay here again.

Nice traditional Korean house (hanok) experience

If you stayed in jeonju, it's good to have at least one night at hanok to experience. Easy communication through any texting applications which is good. Strict 3 oclock check in, can't do early check in. But stow luggages in the storage room but without anyone looking after them. Can't talk loud at night. Can hear baby cries from the next room. But overall a good stay.

We were very blessed to have come here! Although we never met YK in person, he was able to communicate throughout the whole stay via phone, SMS and KakaoTalk, and answered all of our questions. We had no idea how to make it down to a trailhead at Jirisan National Park two hours away, but he gave us detailed directions and with his advice got there so quickly and efficiently we were amazed. They are so kind and helpful, and run such a great little hanok stay. I would unreservedly recommend Gaeunchae to anyone else, and I hope to stay here again if I'm able to make it back to Jeonju!

Great location in the heart of Hanok village

The owner, Mr YK, is a wonderful person. He sent directions to the GaEunChae, a number of recommended food nearby and maps to me via Line, 2 days before I arrive JeonJu. GaEunChae is about 15minutes from the KTX Station and costs around 5000KRW for the cab ride. Have to stop outside the Hanok Village and walk in as the streets are narrow. It may be difficult to find the Hanok hotel but just follow the pictures and maps Mr YK has sent over, there shouldn't be a problem looking for the Hanok Hotel. Went to the BiBimbap restaurant recommended by MR YK and it really made the trip to JeonJu worthwhile! It has the best pork rib soup and Bibimbap I've had so far. Mr YK even helped to set the temperature of our room higher when we were out touring, to keep us warm from the winter chill at night. There are four of us so I took the duplex. However, as traditional hanok rooms are small, we have to open our luggage one at a time. It would be better to book 1 hanok room per person to be comfortable. The location is great and all the attractions are within walking distance. However, it may be difficult to get taxis to the KTX Station. It is better to include ample time (1 hour buffer) for either hiring or hailing taxis.

The hanok is located right in Hanok Village and so it was great to explore the Village. The linens were fresh and the bathroom was clean. I would highly recommend the place to anyone visiting the area.

Host was very helpful, coming to guide us in and helped us settle in with English instructions. They also provided us with laundry because we were staying more than a couple of days. When we left, they called the taxi for us at 5:45 in the morning. Excellent service. Would love to stay again. Place is right smack in all the action, yet quiet and secluded. There are obviously many other hanok stays around, but this one was a good one, and certainly worth a try.

Very Helpful Owner, Steps from Upscale Korean Food

Two days before checkin, owner sent email asking to connect by Whatsapp etc. I did and it worked nicely to arrange arrival meetup and he sent useful maps showing direction from nearby hotel to the place. Our own research found a nearby upscale Kiwa restaurant with three levels. We went there thrice. Within walking distances of 15 minutes radius are many attractions and restaurants. Owner willing to answer questions by Whatsapp. On departure, he called taxi for us, waiting at the nearby hotel. The room is cozy, the floor is heated and toilet is nice. Wifi is great. A bit hard to sit on the floor for us but the floor chair with back is great. In the garden are nice patio chairs.

Very convenient to get to everything offered by the Jeonju Hanok Town. Very friendly owner explained the facilities of the accomodation and also suggested good place to have meal with reasonable price. Being the Hanok the accomodation is a bit tight but that is experience that anyone wants to get. A bit tricky place to find Please let the taxi driver to call the owner.

Il y’a un sacré décalage entre les photos et le logement final. État global du logement pas en adéquation avec l’annonce. Il s’agit non pas d’un hôtel mais d’un airbnb caché. Pas de personnel d’accueil mais des consignes délivrées à distance (par une personne peu agréable). Joints de salle de bain rouillés, moisissures sur les plaintes, questionnement sur la propreté du linge de lit. Pas d’explication sur le montage du futon. Bref plutôt déçu.
A noter, le logement est parfaitement situé et le contexte autour est agréable.

사장님이 매우 친절하십니다. 숙소도 생각보다 작았지만 4식구가 하루 머물기엔 큰 문제가 없었습니다.
다만 주차를 공용주차장에 해야 하는데 늦을경우나 성수기,주말 등은 주차공간이 부족해서 약 3키로 떨어진곳에 주차해야해서 그점이 불편했습니다. 그나마 셔틀버스가 있어서 이동하는 문제는 해소되었습니다. 그리고 한옥이다보니 방음에 추약합니다. 예민하신분은 참고하세요

한옥마을 숙소 가은채

5인 가족이라 숙소 정하기가 여행을 준비할때 제일 어려운 일이었는데 가은채 덕분에 잘 지내고 왔습니다. 공간이 생각보다 더 좁긴 했지만 하룻밤 자는 데는 별 문제 없었구요, 욕실도 한옥임에도 현대적으로 잘 마련되어 있어요. 무엇보다 한옥마을 안에 있어서 숙소 자체도 관광 온 느낌이었고 주변 둘러보기도 좋았어요. 안내데스크가 따로 있는것이 아니라서 사장님(?)하고 미리 연락하시고 보내주시는 문자 잘 받아보셔야 합니다. 도움되는 내용들이 많이 있어요.

위치는 한옥마을안에 있어 좋구 공영주차장과도 가까워서 쉽게 찾아갔어요!
근데 화장실도 좁고 방도 성인 3, 아이1명 4명쓰기에는 좀 좁았어요 ㅜ
그리고 이불 빨래를 안하시나요? ㅠ 패드에 이물질과 *이….ㅠㅠ
그리고 옆방에서 밤늦게까지 떠드는 소리때문에 잠을 잘 못잤어요 방음이 잘안되니 참고하세요

한옥마을 내에 숙박하는 최고의 장점.

전에 한옥 숙소의 불편함 때문에 * 한호텔 예약하려고 했는데, 아이가 다락 있는 방 원해서 예약했어요. 체크인 시간이 생각보다 좋아서 어르신이 일행 중에 있어서 좋았어요. 가은채가 여러 채여서 체크인 시간에 가보니 청소 완료 전 이였지만 사진 찍으면서 편안하게 기다렸어요. 대신 꼼꼼하게 부탁 드린다고 이야기 드렸어요. 화장실이 방과 레벨이 같아서 지난번 한옥에서는 누구든 씻으면 물이 넘쳐서 불편했는데, 단차가 있어서 괜찮았어요. 화장실은 신식임. 너무 어린아이들은 다락 사다리 조심하세요. 아이들은 너무 좋아해요. 초등, 중등 어린이가 있다면 추천드려요! 다음에 또 한옥 숙소로 온다면 다시 와도 좋을 것 같다고 했어요. 저번에 단체 손님들 담배와 소음에 밤새 시달려서 다신 안 온다고 작정했는데 이번에는 좋아서 다행이였어요.

아이들과 만족하고 지내다 가요

일요일이어서 옆방들이 모두 비어있어서 아이들이랑 지냈는데도 방음문제 없이 잘 지낼 수 있었어요.
(방음부분은 예전에도 한옥에서 지내봤지만 복불복인 것 같아요.)
다만 다른 투숙객도 있던 것 같은데 다른 건물로 배정해주신점이 아이들이 있어 서로를 배려해 주신 것 같아서 마음에 들었어요.

아이들이 한옥에서 처음 자보는 거였는데 멋스런 한옥에 아이들이 너무 좋아해서 만족스러웠고요.
한옥인데도 화장실도 깨끗하고 에어컨도 시원해서 너무 편하게 지낼 수 있었어요.
(위치가 정말 좋아요. 골목 나가서 편의점도 가깝고요)
무엇보다 주차장이랑 위치가 가깝고 투숙객들 주차비용이 50% 할인되니 더 좋았던 것 같아요.

날이 더운날이라 중간 중간 숙소에서 쉬면서 한옥마을 구경도 잘 한 것 같아요.
다만 화장실에 물건 놓을 곳이 없는 점. 선반이 하나정도 있으면 좋았겠다 라는 아쉬움이 있었어요.
마당이 있는 점도 좋았고 한옥의 멋과 깔끔함이 같이 공존하는 곳이라 잘 쉬다가 갑니다.

The second floor was nice, but a bit cold in the very chilly winter night in Korea. It would be better to improve the heating for the 2nd floor. All others were good. Fantastic experience with uniqueness.

Camera piccola, ottima location

La camera non era spaziosa per una coppia, e abbiamo prenotato quella pensata per 4 persone perché era l'unica disponibile.
La location è molto bella, dentro il villaggio Hanok e l'edificio stesso segue lo stile delle case tradizionali.

아이들과 함께 묵기 위해서 복층으로 된 한옥숙소를 찾았는데 저희가 원하는 조건에 맞는 곳이었어요.
다만 한옥숙소이다 보니 방음에 취약하다고 알고있어서 다른분들께 피해를 줄까봐 신경이 쓰였어요.
아이들을 재워놓고 좀 늦은 시간에 어른들이 씻었는데 드라이기를 사용하기 부담스러워서 가져갔던 손선풍기로 머리를 말렸네요^^;;
4인이 묵을수 있는 숙소이지만 어른4인이 지내기에는 조금 좁을수도 있을것 같고요, 저희는 아이2, 어른2인이라 무난했습니다.
욕실은 개인이 사용하기에는 불편함이 없지만 어린아이들이 있는 분들은 같이 들어가서 씻기기에 좀 좁은편이었어요.
침구는 깨끗하고 푹신했구요, 가성비 좋은 한옥숙소라고 생각해요-
덕분에 1박2일 잘 보내고 왔습니다-^^

한옥마을 내에 주차하고 멀지 않아요
걸어서 가기 힘들지 않지요.

코로나시대에 맞춰 비대면 체크인, 체크아웃도
특이했습니다.

한옥의 특성상 공기가 차가운건 어쩔수 없나봅니다.
여기만의 문제가 아니라 한옥은 항상 같았습니다.
바닥은 끓는데 공기는 차가와요.

아이가 있으면 좀더 따뜻할때로 추천드립니다.

하지만 역시 한옥에서의 하룻밤은 참 좋은시간이었습니다.

방과, 화장실모두 간결하고 청결하고 깨끗하여 특별히 불만은 없으나, 이불(바닥에 까는 이불)이 얇아서, 좀 불편했고, 에어콘소리가 너무커서, 더운여름에 켜고 잘수가 없음.

화장실에 세면기등 바닥청소를 락스로 하신거 같은데 청소 후에 락스가 완젼히 청소되자않아 세면기 사용후 튀긴 락스물이옷에 물이 튀여 오염되었습니다. 청소 마무리가 제대로 되었으면 좋겠습니다.

사장님이 워낙 친절하셔서 체크인 전부터 좋았습니다 :) 한옥마을인데도 안 쪽에 위치해서 그런지 주말에도 시끄럽지 않고요. 방도 따뜻하고, 깨끗하고, 작아도 필요한 것들 다 있고 비품도 넉넉히 챙겨주셔서 좋았습니다!

とても便利な場所にありました。
部屋は思ったより狭く2人では少し窮屈でした。シャワー室に棚があったらよかったと思います。
オーナーさんがとても親切でホテルまでたどり着くまで何回もお電話をくれました。滞在中もおいしい店を紹介してくれたり、タクシーで行き方などとてもありがたかったです。

가족 여행으로 전주 한옥마을을 찾았습니다.
가은채는 한옥 마을 중심부에 위치하고 있는데, 전통적인 작은 골목안에 위치하고 있어서 아름답고, 조용한 숙소였습니다.
대부분의 한옥마을을 도보로 이동할 수 있었습니다.
와이파이가 조금 느린 것을 빼고는 전체적으로 만족스러웠습니다.
