I was trying to book a room in Oshawa and somehow booked one in Lindsey the staff at the hotel were no help and the staff at Expedia were no help in me getting a refund or switching my booking to a hotel in Oshawa very poor service as far as I'm concerned I will never recommend either Expedia or travel lodge to anyone

Very comfortable bed, clean room and friendly staff. Older hotel but decent at an affordable price. We stayed on the second floor which is up a flight of stairs. Not an issue for us but request a ground floor room if stairs would be a problem. Attached restaurant was convenient for our evening meal. Basic breakfast was included.

Breakfast is ok. Lots of options. Eggs were a bit over cooked in what ever pan they came out of. For being included, it's alright.
I would stay again.
Google map pin could be dropped closer to the main entrance. I ended up driving to the back by following the current directions.

The building could do with renovations as the rooms looked outdated. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Buffet was very basic and located close to the door which I found odd. Location wise, it's not within walking distance to other food establishments but there is a restaurant next door which is convenient. Overall, great for a basic stay.

The staff were excellent. The only reason I chose good instead of excellent is that the bathtub coating is slightly rusted near plug and flaking off. I did not feel comfortable using it to bathe in. Showering was fine. The room was otherwise spotless and well appointed with comfortable bed and couch.

Room is clean but it was freezing cold when we checked in. I had to leave my jacket on for half an hour and turn the heater way up to warm the room. The ice machine was giving out shaved snow/ice so my husband had to go buy ice. When he told the desk clerk the machine was not working she just giggled. Again though for the price room is a good size and clean, we have stayed here a few times when driving my daughter back and forth to the college.

Back entrance didn’t require card to get in (lack of security), channel guid listed a lot of channels but needed subscription for a lot and eggs at breakfast were not good. Overall a nice stay.

The young man working the desk Friday evening was very busy and helped my child out bc the vending machine took their money and didn’t dispense the chocolate bar. He was apologetic and very sweet. Cutting the cattails in the ditch at the sound entrance to the property would improve visibility of oncoming traffic. And it's a pretty bare-looking property. There's not much nearby. Some attention to landscaping would help, maybe some trees. It shows the owner cares and is actively trying to attract people.

Was Not Overly Happy

We had booked a ground floor due to our age and amount we travelled with. We had to book an additional night prior, and could not do that through Hotels.com. We called for a room, and they committed to give us the prior night for the same room we booed so we do not have to move. We arrived and told us we only had a 2nd floor room (no elevator, but could move again to the ground floor the next day. We were very upset, it was difficult for us to bring our stuff upstairs on the hot day. We did not move since we had already set up the room. The room itself was very clean and spacious, fridge/freezer and microwave. WIFI was okay. The Window though is really dirty and needs cleaning. We arrived at 7:30 am for breakfast, and there were only dry crumbs of eggs and 3 cold Breakfast sausages. Breakfast was supposed to be from 6-10 am. I asked the desk attendee, and she asked me if she should make more. We left with minimal breakfast. Other days they had breakfast, but it is powdered eggs, and dry sausage. It was much better the last time we stayed here several years ago. The A/C in the room is undersized and ran continuously. The cleaning staff had to be asked to empty our garbage and replace towels. They were very nice and friendly.

We were still thinking that the hotel name was Ramada, and we had not been advised differently. We passed it by on the way into Lindsay, but didn't realize that it was the hotel we were looking for.
I had hoped that we would not be on the ground floor and asked if that could be changed, but I was told that they were all booked up. Rooms are not usually assigned ahead of time, however, so we could have been moved. It was okay to be on the main floor, but it gives a person a feeling of being confined. Also, I was a front desk clerk, and I have always had my credit card taken in case charges are put against the room, but I was surprised that the clerk asked for the payment right away. It was just different. We also found that there was little selection for food and I was hoping for at least a continental style breakfast. Cereal, toast and coffee seemed to size it up. There was no fruit, and little hot items like bacon, sausage, eggs. Having stayed at some Holiday Inns where you have pretty good choices, it didn't fare well.

Last minute trip for a death in the family. Hubby and I stayed one night. This was my second stay at this hotel in three weeks. Easy check in and check out. Super comfy king sized bed. Clean room. Clean bathroom. Could have used a notepad/pen as I had a call come in and I was scrambling to write an important number on a kleenex! Unfortunately I totally forgot about the note and tossed the kleenex!! Usually there's a complimentary one in a hotel room. Oh well. We planned to have breakfast but ran out of time so we didn't sample anything. Coffee in the room was fine. There was a fridge but no microwave. Tons of parking. Front desk staff were friendly.

The hotel was in the perfect location for what I needed during my stay in Lindsay. Bed was over the top comfy. Fantastic. Breakfast was ok. It got us through till lunch. Toast, bagels, bananas, waffles, peameal and scrambled eggs appeared on day two. We were too late on the first morning. Cereal, milk, juice. Machine coffee so I imagine it's a mix. It was ok but weak. :) The hot/cold fluctuation in the shower caused some scrambling but it was managable. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. I couldn't climb stairs so I ended up with a great ground floor room. No coffee/tea available after breakfast. It would have been nice. You can make some in your room though. Atmosphere in the breakfast area was very quiet and relaxing. Rooms were very clean and not perfumed to mask odor which I appreciated. This is my second stay at this hotel. I didn't enjoy my first time but this time made up for it. Well done!

Stayed 3 nights, told them I didn't need anything, I had enough towels, etc. There was not a \"do not disturb\" sign to use, but assuned they wouldn't have come in. To my surprise they had gone in, changed towels and garbage. I had personal stuff out, and felt uneasy they they had gone in. Next time I will make sure I have that sign on my door!

The property did not take down the advertisement on the Expedia website when they had a power outage. So when I arrived to the hotel there was no power and the front desk personnel had to call and remind the owner to take it down.
I’m still waiting for a refund 10 days later.
It’s pretty straight forward to me.

I had an issue with my TV, no one cared to resolve it and when I mentioned it at check-out the agent implied it was my fault because I hadn't talked to \"her\" at check-in. I had mentioned it to her co-worker and would have thought any staff member could be capable of taking care of a guest request. Breakfast was pathetic. I went to put milk in my cereal and it was warm because it was just sitting on the counte, not even in ice.

This property is going through a renovation and they're almost done. The very helpful staff more than overcame the reno. The junior suite we had read huge - very nice. The restaurant (not related to the Ramada) was accessible from the hotel which was very convenient in the cold weather. When we visit Lindsay on the future, we'll definitely stay here again.
