Sufficient for a short stay
Pamela
Staff was ok. Room carpet dirty. Sink hole rusty and dirty. Bathroom fixtures very old and dirty. We had 2 very old towels and so worn you can see through them. Internet constantly cutting off. There was a blackout and the water also went. No backup generator no apologies. The water was brown when it came back on.
Maxood
AC a bit loud
Marion
Clean room, but it feels like walking into the 70’s. Air conditioning was great.
Robert
Rating is affected by road construction very close to the site.

A Clean, Comfortable, and Safe Stay
Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you—the room itself was excellent and far exceeded my expectations. It was modern, fresh, and exceptionally clean. As a solo female traveler, comfort and functionality are key, and this motel delivered.
One of my favorite features was the fridge, which actually had a proper freezer attached. It was a huge help for keeping my travel ice packs completely frozen for the next leg of my trip. The bed was very comfortable, and while the pillows were just okay, I was glad I brought my own. The room was a little humid when I first arrived, but the air conditioner handled it quickly and efficiently.
I also really appreciated the attentive service; the front desk called my room about 10 minutes after arrival to make sure I was happy with everything. If I'm ever back in the area, I would absolutely choose this motel again. It's a fantastic, modest choice that offers great value, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Pleasant stay for one night. The Continental Breakfast was somewhat satisfactory. Coffee was good. Eggs should be served in a ceramic tray rather than stainless steel. We found the eggs a rubbery texture. Although we do realize there’s industry standards I did find it a little pricey. The taxes put it over the top. Thanks.
Roxane
Was quiet, clean, and has friendly staff
Jackie
We left before the breakfast was open
Marilyn Ann
We had a lovely stay. The motel is aged but the service and staff were exceptional. We will definitely be returning when we are back in Lindsay.
Wendy
Very friendly staff. The free breakfast was great. It was in the higher end price wise for the type of room I got. Felt dirty after my shower than when I went in. Once I blew out the the candle that was pre-lit of me checking in, I smelled awful in the room.
Jessica
The room was clean. The staff were nice. Breakfast was ok. The heat was super loud even on low. We asked for more shampoo and conditioner and they must have forgotten about us. Someone must have blown a breaker. We were out of power in the morning for an hour. Just as I was getting ready for work. Very frustrating as it made me late. Not a nice way to start my day.

Rooms had stains..smelt funny and just wasn't clean overall.

Breakast was descent. Not many options but ok with respect to the room pricing
Jim
Room was clean. Bed was good. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Location probably looks better once trees and shrubs start leafing out. OK for a retro motel with 60's or 70's vibe.
harold
Basic breakfast, limited items
Laura
Bed bugs the first night. Movec rooms. Second morning broken hair dryer

We didn’t make use of the free breakfast but the room was dated but very clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The pillows weee very thin. I would stay here again.

Brian
It was adequate. A lot of pot holes but lots of places to park
Sandra
Room was in fair condition a bit outdated, slow wifi connection, didn’t have the ice machine on most of the time, breakfast isn’t what you think of when you you think “ complementary breakfast”. The staff though are wonderful and very helpful!
WARREN
Terrible, gross, old!!
Jamie-Lee
It was okay. Not the cleanest but if you don’t look too close what you don’t know can’t hurt you. The heater was LOUD and kept us up all night. Staff was friendly. Tv was hard to work but staff came in and fixed it. Parking is tight.
For the price it’s okay, heat, hydro, bathroom. Beds were awful, though.

Staff member that was there all weekend was very friendly.
Breakfast was ok but not great. Bacon and hard boiled eggs, cereal, toast and oatmeal.
Room was okay, very dated. Cobwebs and dust in the bathroom on the ceiling, water was brown when we first turned on tap. Hot water takes a few minutes to kick on.
Beds were awful. Stains on the sheet and you could feel the springs.

Room clean and warm. Bathroom clean and warm but minimal water flow to sink faucet. Shower water pressure was fine. Grateful for hot shower. Noisy heater prevented uninterrupted sleep.
On arrival, receptionist asked to keep my credit card to cover $200 security deposit. He said the card would be returned upon check-out. I refused and requested the card be processed to provide a receipt for the pending transaction. He complied. Next day, an hour or so after checkout, I checked the bank statement. A $200 credit had been applied to offset the security deposit debit.

Room was fine, but the breakfast was bad. No coffee, butter was not refrigerated, much less than expected.

James
The room was fine but it is an old motel in need of a major overhaul.
Lisa
Felt unsafe due to proximity to other buildings. Very isolated.
The floor was very old, looked unclean as it was very old flooring and very dark.
Tub needed to be refinished...the rest of the bathroom was ok.
Would not repeat visit.

Was ok. One fella doing the whole thing from check in to cleaning to breakfast.. booked a 2 dbl, smoking room only to find out on arrival, no smoking. Given an upgrade at the desk only to find out its the same room once we got to it. Overall, an ok stay. Room was very musty but we made it work
Jackie
Very pet friendly! Great service
Lyzane
Staff was verry nice. Room was clean. Front desk clerk called the room to see if everything was OK.
David
The staff was very welcoming. The room was clean.
Michele
The door didn’t close probably to the room. The beds box spring was dirty.
James
The staff were great at the location. The only thing was that night there was an event going on at the fairgrounds. There was fighting and yelling between other tenants outside at night and wasn't the most pleasant experience.

Paid for a 2 night stay, almost $400. Second morning there was a power outage. We had no electricity and water. Wasn’t able to warm up my son’s bottles. Couldn’t shower, no breakfast. Wasn’t offered an apology, or discount. Upon asking for a supervisor, employee called them and then had the entire conversation in their language so we couldn’t understand. Very disappointed. Not even close to being worth $400
RAJESH
Clean rooms, well located
Don
The smell in the lobby and in the room was a horrible moldy smell. The couch looked so dirty that i used a towel to sit on. Bed, couch and toilet were so low. Hard to get up out of them. For the price of $200 and the Howard Johnson name I was expecting a lot more.
Jamie
The area was good. Beds were not all that great for comfort. The rest was very clean.
Karen
Room good, staff friendly
John David
The property was short staffed and it showed in in all areas.

They charged me a 200 damage deposit, but didn't clean the yellow stains, running down the wall in the bathroom and the water was black. The comforter on my bed had blood on it. The room had an overpowering smell of cigars. Had to open the windows hours before we were able to sleep in there.
Joan
Spacious room however my room was not thoroughly clean. Saw two spiders crawling on the bed & there were spider webs on some corners of the room.
Christine
Great staff but very outdated and bedding needs to be replaced looking yellow and fresh paint needed . Very quiet and pet friendly
Ellise
The floors need a good cleaning and some major updates. Other than that it served its purpose and we stayed 2 nights
Brenda
Room was really wore and walls were dirty, needs new bedfing
Brenda
This room is really out dated, carpets are wore, walls look dirty
Kim
Check in and out was easy. Our room was clean but beds very uncomfortable - hard beds.
Sabato
The location was convenient and close to the town and golf course
Bijaya
Courteous service
Michael
I never actually stayed at the property, it was booked for a ball tournament that was cancelled last second. Hotel would not entertain requests from me or Expedia for a refund or to change dates (with no refund, even offered to pay a upcharge) simply said you’re out of luck. The manager was unavailable and would not return calls even when promised. I assume that was because of the overwhelming number of cancellations. However, I would expect better from Howard Johnson’s. There are many other better choices in every city.

The bed pillows did not have a fresh smell to them. Property is being updated, but is generally shabby.

Cozy please place to stay in Lindsay
Flawless from the moment I arrived this hotel is spotless, elegant, and beyond perfection. Not a single speck of dust, even the backyard gleams like a runway. Chic location, divine service, and worth far more than they charge. A stay fit for royalty and yes, this Queen approves.” 👑
Suk
Old and kinda smelly cigarettes and the blanket are hole of cigarettes, not really satisfying just so so ok for one night coz I have to stay that area
Tark
Smelly water, we couldn’t drink and minimized showers. Toilet kept loosing water, so hard to sleep with the noise. Toilet doesn’t drain well. Room too small, so slept in contact with the AC…
Alan
Improper and bad service as well poor judgement.
Breakfast was a disaster since Saturday it took twenty minutes to have done actually find time to refill the food area. There was no one at the front desk where a clients waited for anyone to appear. The expectation to have breakfast before 10 am de as alone was failing the designate time s. No food available since the desk person appear to say he was sorry but was cleaning rooms and had no one else available until after 9 am. The photo of the lobby shows clean clear area . Office ladies room had no towels for the two mornings we stayed. The floor in our room 24 was broken at foot of bed. The floor outside of the bathroom was broken . The room itself smelled and felt damp.
Bad place to stay and needs updating immediate. You should pay people to stay there. If this is your company’s idea of a hotel you need to send someone to actually inspect it.

The breakfast was good.

Quiet, simple, and cozy. Absolutely wonderful.

Great family vacation!
Room was clean, except for the carpet. AC worked, large TV, no coffee/tea in the room (even though they provided a coffee machine and a cup), but was provided at breakfast. Cute room, good breakfast with lots of options and everything was fresh. Bed was firm, but comfy enough for sleeping, only 3 pillows were provided for 2 adults (wish they gave you 4 pillows), but they were alright. And the property offered nice, cozy vibes. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean and convenient for small town

The room was very clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable and we requested fresh towels and room service each day while we were away. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Jessica
The rooms are very basic, the rooms look run down with multiple patches on walls. Some mold noted under sink in bathroom, and on ceiling. Mattresses are old and could use an update. Not luxury... But better than sleeping outside. At least the staff were friendly and very happy to help when called.
Roy
Was expecting a hotel not a motel for the price
Luigi
Bed was old and uncomfortable and fridge did not work, get what you pay for I guess
Verified traveler
No complaints for the price. Easy to access and gas station in walking distance to get snacks and drinks
Rachel
The room was exactly what we needed, and we appreciated the free breakfast. Good for a night over on a road trip.
Tony
Absolute worse shower head I have ever had to use. Clearly needs to be replaced. Could not even wash my hair.
Breakfast was a joke. Very limited seating. In the range of 12. Breakfast items lacking.
Smoke free room that I ordered was beside a smoking room. Guest literally were smoking in front of windows. Not great for my allergies.
AC was great at cooling but noisy.

Friendly little motel
Check in was quick and friendly. We received a courtesy call after check in to make sure everything in the room met our needs. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Overall, it did the trick for a one night stay at a reasonable price. A good option for bike riders.
Harry
Horrible room service and stay. Would never recommend to anyone apart from to stay away. I am expecting some form of compensation. ASAP. Thanks

Particularly during breakfast, there was no staff around. Had to wait for the coffee to be refilled, juice was running out and even the bread was running out.
No one was in the receptionist area when I was logging out and a tiny cockroach casually crawled on the receptionist's area.
The room was OK but the floor was sticky, and the water in the sink and shower smelled heavily like metal. While I have stayed in other properties, this one is definitely one that I will not go back to.

Don’t have enough supplies and even after asking for more towels and soap, we didn’t receive them. Room had poor ventilation

Good facilities and breakfast

The staff was great, and the rooms were clean and newly upgraded
Catherine
Front desk staff were very accommodating...with power out after the storm, they helped us secure a room with heat and power...so grateful
Debra
Property is antiquated, but clean. Staff not well trained or helpful. At 2:50 a.m., a staff member opened the door to our room. Apologized, saying wrong room, but felt unnerved and could not sleep after that. No acknowledgement made by management in morning of incident.
Robert
Bed was in need of replacement.
Monique
My spouse has mobility issues. We chose a motel so we could park in front of our room. While out, another guest parked in front of our room resulting in us having to walk a distance to our room. At 5 am the vehicle that was backed up in front of our window ran non stop until 6:30. Exhaust fumes and noise disrupting our sleep. Very inconsiderate.
