Room spacious for 3 people. Clean and tidy decoration. Bathroom nice with good shower.
Really good games area for kids.
Gym and sauna were well equipped though some of the machines were a little loose!
Breakfast: there was a good selection of food. Had to wait a short time for new hot food to be served. Good coffee.
Had dinner in the restaurant was a disaster with over an hour wait for cold food. They did apologise.

Great location next to station and gondola. Friendly staff and room was clean. We enjoyed the shuffleboard in the bar area, and breakfast was worth having. Small issues were the fridge in the room didn’t work very well, and the chromecast to TV also didn’t work.

Perfect hotel for skiing as it’s next to the Gondola.

It has a great sauna with amazing views which would have been even better with a plunge pool or cold bucket.

The only slight downside was the beer in the hotel was a lot more expensive than the bars in Voss.

We didn’t have breakfast or dinner so can not rate the food.

This is our second stay and would come again. Great value hotel.

Clean, comfortable room, huge breakfast buffet, Voss is a beautiful area. For the most part, staff were friendly but our check-in experience was not the best. My husband went in to check us in and find out about parking. The staff member was very flippant about parking, little direction other you can park anywhere on the street for free. She then wouldn’t check my husband in without me being there with my driver’s license. When we both returned to check in, I gave her my license and she did something with my license and her computer for a few minutes, then unceremoniously shoved a paper at me and told me I needed to fill in spaces she had marked with Xs. This included duplicating my phone #, which she pointed out was already entered on the sheet, but also included my driver’s license info. Not sure why she didn’t enter it into her computer, which was what she seemed like she was doing but she wasn’t exactly the nicest about it, like it was a bothersome thing. We finally got checked in and found our parking space several blocks away, on the street! I would not recommend this hotel on the basis of this experience and no parking, paid or not! This hotel seems geared up for tour bus customers and train access (immediately behind hotel, had its own entrance).

Very nice and clean hotel conveniently located. This time of year it did feel a bit like the staff was tired of tourists. Hard to get a smile put of anyone and due to tour busses that stopped here, they never seemed to have room for the hotel guests to dine at their restaurant in the evenings. You had to go somewhere else and on Monday evening it was hard to find anything else open.

This is a beautiful and yet modern property. It has all the essentials that you could comfortably rest and enjoy some good time with your friends and family. Location-wise it is right off the train station (don't even need to get down the stairs or to the street). Staff are friendly and useful. Breakfast is standard scandic but also with slightly better selection. Worth every dollar you spent

Perfect location for my short stay packed with activities! Situated right at the train station and bus station that we needed to take for our day tours.

Breakfast was good, better selection than the same chain in Stockholm that I am staying at right now. The room was spacious and clean. Was mostly quiet EXCEPT in the early morning when there was noise that sounded like someone was moving furniture around for at least half an hour, which woke me up earlier than needed. I was in room 340 and am not sure what was above my room— another guest room or common area.

Very well located hotel, great for kids with a games console and a shuffleboard table. Good selection at breakfast. No tea or coffee or safe in the room. We got told off for drinking a can of lager in the seating area at hotel reception whilst the Norwegians on the next table who were doing the same didn’t. Lots of people eating take away in the reception seating area every night so think that is allowed. Overall a nice hotel but there should be tea and coffee in the room and a safe. Our room was not cleaned at all the whole time we were there which was also strange but didn’t spoil the experience.

We had a one night stay here on our way through Norway. Check in was easy - staff was pleasant enough. Room was small but had a comfortable bed (though slightly on the harder side for me), bathroom was a good size and shower had good pressure and nice shampoo and body soaps to use. Chromecast was difficult - couldn’t get it to work on mine or my husbands phones and staff just offered the excuse that it’s touchy with iPhones (my husband has an android so that was not our issue). Breakfast was ok - not the best we’ve had in Norway but still had a decent spread of options. The area was ideal, but coming out of season not too much open for restaurants to eat at (which is not the fault of the hotel).

Great location, spacious rooms, kids loved the bunk bed. The dinner buffet is not worth it, the breakfast buffet is usual fare and not particular great either. The property does get crowded and some times the buffet does get very crowded. The best part of it is really the location, you can roll your bags out of the train station and into the hotel. The gondola ride is right next door, there is a super pretty lake right next door where you can kayak, and the park along the banks is where all the parasailors land. There aren't many restaurant options, though.

Great location but annoying

The beds were super comfortable and clean. Too bad the sheets covering the mattress were not large enough to actually stay tucked under. The room was very modern which is cool until you need an advanced degree to figure out the light switches and temp controls. For some Unknown reason the shades would suddenly lower or raise at any random time. The bathroom door closes itself quite forcefully and it smashed my finger. The location is great but the annoying details would keep us from visiting there again.

The bedroom was adequate for 3 people, although my preference for 3 separate beds was unavailable. The room was a little hot & stuffy, & opening the window onto the train line was noisy. The electronic window blinds would open/close at random times though! Had buffet in the restaurant which had a good selection. Large comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. Booked a std twin room for our overnight stay in Voss for our family of 4. The room had 2 twin beds and a couch which worked out well. View was good too of the mountains. Room did have a fridge but no microwave or coffee maker. The included breakfast spread was the best we have seen so far.. had a lot of variety. Parking is not included but we’re able to find street parking easily which is free between 5pm-9am. All in all highly recommend this hotel.

Stay in Voss at the end of a ski trip. Very convenient hotel. Right next to bus stop one side and train station the other side and a short walk down to the lake. Lovely evening meal, drinks and greak breakfast too. Comfortable rooms, good shower, airy and spacious lobby areas and a sunny balcony area too. Hard to fault in any regard. 10/10 from all 5 of us.

Very nice place to stay, average sized room.
Central location right next to the railway station and less than a 5-min walk into the town centre.
Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a wide choice available.
Only negative comment is that the room cleaniness wasn't so amazing, an old sticky sweet and balls of fluff were under the main bed, not enough to complain about but would expect better than that (only discovered that after i dropped something on the floor and bent down to pick it up).
Overall though, would recommend and stay again.

My only issue was that we quickly got bored of the very limited food offerings in the hotel (and there is not much variety around either, especially on a holiday weekend). And there were some odd inconsistencies with the food. For example, the first mushroom soup I got (which was delicious) had 4 pieces of gnocchi as a garnish. A few days later, it was basically gnocchi with a mushroom sauce! I would stay again for maximum 3 nights.

Hotel is in a great spot, With train and bus stadion right around them. The breakfast was great and the exercise area was nice. My biggest drawback was the condition of the room when I arrived. Dirty floor with a lot of hair, no soap in soap dispenser, extra toilet paper roll look like it was soaked in water, beds was not lined up. I would suggest to retrain/fire the head housekeeper if they approved the inspection before I arrived.

We can’t say enough great things about our stay, but here are a few elements: the very high-quality breakfast buffet is delicious, plentiful, and long (7-10:30am); the entire hotel is super quiet, even in the height of summer tourist season; the beds are comfortable and the amenities are plentiful.

Stayed overnight on our Norway in a Nutshell adventure. Clean property, staff was very helpful and very nice. Breakfast was fabulous! I am gluten I tolerant and finding a GF station is so very nice!
Our room was overlooking the railway and there was work being overnight. At first was frustrating after a long day but soon it became white noise.
Would stay here again. Beautiful area!

This was the perfect location for us. We arrived on a bus from Flam right in front of the hotel and when we left, the train to Bergan was directly behind the hotel. The breakfast buffet was nothing less then amazing.
My grandson is a wheelchair user and the hotel was easy to get around in and the room was spacious enough to move around in.

If you are driving do not stay at this hotel. It is one thing to not have parking at the hotel but quite another when you can't even drop your bags off right at the hotel and then go and park. I saw a number of older couples dragging big suitcases down the street to get to the hotel -- as I had to do myself. Not good. The place is great if you're taking the train but I would not recommend it for those with a rental car.

Pros:
- Next to Voss gondola and the beautiful lake of Voss.
- Lake view rooms have a beautiful view over the lake.
- Just by the bus and train station. So, it's a good choice if you're coming by public transportation with your luggage. Otherwise, it's tough if you're coming by car (your car or a taxi. See below).
- Rooms were clean and have recycling bins.
- The breakfast buffet is big and has a large variety.
- The taste of the tap water is great!

Cons:
- If you're coming by car. It can be hell if you have lots of luggage and if you have children or elderly as individual cars cannot enter the area where the main entrance is. You would have to park either in the limited parking space before the hotel (paid parking with a max of 3 hours) or park at a 15-minute parking lot a few meters away from the entrance. In such a case, you'd have to go all the way to the hotel to grab the luggage cart and then push it all the way back. Then walk again to move your car to the parking lot that's even further by another few meters.
- The overnight parking lot is paid (250 NOK per day). So, no free parking.
- If you have a \"city view\" room (i.e., on the rear side of the hotel), be prepared to hear the cargo and commercial trains which run immediately under the room. Cargo trains can run a bit after midnight.
- Reception is on the second floor, so you'd have to take your luggage one floor up to check in.
- Lastly, the hotel is expensive given all these critiques.
