Staff were super accommodating and friendly. We arrived at 5 am and the offered to turn the lights down in the lounge so we could sleep. Let us store our luggage until we could get our room and when we left for a day trip. Food was wonderful as well.

Excellent hotel, very traditional decor inline with its vast history. Great location on the train platform and next to the gondola. Free bus outside to Myrkdalen resort( great place for beginners to cross country and alpine skiing) very clean with amazing food. Helpful and friendly staff make sure you stay is comfortable. Spa facilities were fantastic as well.
In the room the only thing was there was no coat hooks to hang outdoor coats. Electric Towel rail in the bathroom didn’t seem to work but this wasn’t an issue as there was under floor heating so things dried.

Gorgeous room, clean and spacious. Incredible views. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the lake, and also at the very end of a long corridor so didn’t experience any noise from other guests walking by. Great staff, helpful and friendly cleaning staff did a wonderful job.

The room was spacious with a nice view. The property is old and on the edge between historically classic and dilapidated. Dining room and breakfast in the morning were very good. One odd thing was the need to re-register your car every time you drove into the parking lot.

This hotel is very cute. You feel like you move back in time. Bathrooms are all renovated. It could use a little more refresh, especially the carpet. Overall it's a nice place in a great location, right next to the train. They had live music in the bar every night we were there and it was a really nice to sit there and listen to music and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. I'd love to go back to Norway and I'd stay at this hotel again.

For all of its supposed class this establishment is sorely lacking in meeting customer needs. I drove around the whole area looking 1 - for the hotel parking lot and 2 - trying to find the reception center. Turns out you have to walk around the BACK of the hotel, down a sidewalk then down stairs to get to the reception desk. This was EXTREMELY difficult for a mobility impaired individual.
The showerhead was filthy. The entire bathroom was 3’ wide and 5’ long. You have to sit sideways on the toilet because there isn’t enough room for your knees if you sit properly. This was the bathroom for a FAMILY SUITE! One person alone could barely fit in this bathroom. The shower gel and shampoo bottles are attached to the wall in such a way that it is almost impossible to push down to top to extract the contents. And there were PAPER NAPKINS at dinner. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful but for all of its attempts at class, this hotel falls far short.

This is a lovely, old fashioned hotel with stunning views of the lake in Voss. We got a huge corner room with beautiful views. There are large terraces in front and a bar and restaurant. Breakfast is included and was amazing. Some wear and tear around which is to be expected given the property is over 100 years old. Adjacent to the train station and a small grocery. Walking distance from downtown restaurants and shops as well as the beautiful lakeside park. Wish we'd stayed longer

This beautiful old hotel is in a prime position with beautiful views and easy access to the train station and the gondola.
Corner room 125 is a gorgeous room with fantastic views and a wonderful feel to it.
Yes, the wall paper in the bathroom is peeling a little, but everything was wonderfully clean and provision of nice toiletries and the coffee machine in the room were a great enhancement.

Breakfast was casual but the buffet was ample and delicious with a wide variety available.

The bar has lovely views over the lake and the Ceasar salad was good.

The wall tiles in the pool area are very pretty and the pool was a good size but there is some damage to the jacuzzi and there appears to be some renovation work being done to the ceiling which is a little off putting.

I loved this hotel. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and friendly and I would gladly stay here again.

This is a historic property, and you can definitely feel its charm—some of the floors squeak, adding to the character of the place. It almost feels like you're staying in a museum, with rooms decorated in antiques and vintage touches throughout. There are several cozy common areas where guests can relax and unwind.

The location is excellent—if you're arriving by train, the station is right outside the hotel. If you're driving, there’s convenient parking available, and the hotel is just a short drive from some truly beautiful spots in the area.

There were a large Norwegian team that stayed over and overtook the ski rooms. Unfortunately, they were not smart enough as they blocked access ways of a door and ramp by placing their equipment in front of it. This made it a hazard especially for children.
The poor review is due to the hotel’s ignorance to the situation after they were notified.

The property is conveniently located right next to the train station and gondola, but that's probably the only thing it's got going for it. The general condition and overall service of the hotel is not up to much. The staff seem to make excuses for this by saying that the hotel is very old. Well, that maybe true, but that doesn't account for the lack of general maintenance. We only stayed for 1 night, but during our stay we encountered several problems. First of all one of our beds wasn't made after we checked in, so we had to return to reception, much to the annoyance of the staff member on the desk. There didn't appear to be any working telephone in the room, so we weren't able to call down for assistance. The downstairs bar and lounge does look very elegant giving the feel of regal sophistication. But don't be fooled. On the day we left I attempted to order an Irish coffee at the bar and got told a flat \"no\" because they \"don't know how to do that\"... I said I could make one myself if they just gave me a cup of coffee and some whiskey, but I immediately regretted that decision due to the fact that even though they charged bar prices for the coffee, they just used an automated machine to make it. When I attempted to pay for the drinks this turned into another drama as I was told that the till had been locked by a member of staff from the previous day so I had to wait around for about half an hour before that could get sorted. Pay a bit more to stay at the Scandic next door.

Property is very dated and neglected. Our room had a very very musty smell that I can only describe as wet stinky socks. Additionally the wall paper in the room was coming away from the walls and the bathroom caulk looked pretty gross. We booked the hotel for the pool facilities, however those are very neglected as well. I can only say that the photos online must of been taken years ago, as it does not look as nice in person.

Hotel staff were great and accommodating and I think the staff in the hotel are doing the best they can with what they have. Unfortunately the hotel needs renovation and investment. We wouldn't stay here again. The hotel was not terrible however it was bordering acceptable which is not what we were expecting.

Great one night stay - friendly staff on arrival, well maintained historic hotel with spacious and comfortable single room with basic amenities, like kettle and TV. Fantastic breakfast, good spread and eating in the beautiful ballroom. Swimming pool with good changing facilities - could maybe use a revamp but still good in current state. Overall, I would recommend if staying around the area as convenient for all things nearby.

We loved our stay here. Great view of the lake. Wonderful spread for breakfast and they didn’t seem to mind most guests making a pack lunch. Avoid Fleischer’s Hotel at All Costs!
My stay at Fleischer’s Hotel was a complete disaster, and I strongly advise against booking here. Despite having reserved two nights, we returned on the second evening to find that the hotel had moved our belongings—carelessly stuffed back into our suitcase—and given our room to new guests.
Here’s what happened: We had booked two separate one-night stays due to a change in our travel plans. At check-in, the hotel was informed that our reservation was split between two different platforms, and the front desk acknowledged this and gave us the room key. Knowing the fact we will stay at the same room for two nights, the next morning, we left our luggage unpacked. Upon returning that evening, we found ourselves unable to open the door. After several trips to the front desk and nearly an hour of waiting, the staff finally opened the door, only to reveal that new guests were already in the room, who were understandably shocked and distressed. Our luggage was nowhere to be found and later we discovered it was placed in lost and found. Apparently, our luggage went through a similar miserable journey during our absent, the cleaning crew moved our luggage to a different room, another staff spotted them and eventually put them in the lost and found section. Again, zero communication during this entire process and we receive zero apologies about our luggage situation.

Hotel entrance is from the platform of Voss station so very handy for me arriving by train. There is a secure luggage room so I went exploring before checking in later. There was a mixup when checking in so I ended up paying twice, it was rectified but I ended up paying full rate and only getting my Hotels.com rate refunded. My room was in a part of the hotel with scaffolding so I had no view from the window. Breakfast was very lavish

Lovely hotel with wonderful character and history still operated by same family! We asked for a lake view room in the historic section. Room was large and the high ceilings and furnishings were lovely. Our view wasn't bad, but I would recommend a room higher than the second floor so the view isn't partially obscured by the roofline of the terrace. Bed was comfortable and clean, but pillows are terribly thin. We used the extras in the closet in addition to the ones on the bed.
Wonderful service and friendly staff! Dinner buffet is convenient, but expensive. Several of the meats were dry, but there were nice desserts. I would probably not do it again.
The location right across from the lake and proximity to the gondola, train and shops is fantastic!!
The positives definitely outweigh the minor negatives and would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again!
