Our toilet was clogged when we got there told the front desk, they said they had 1 plunger and it was being used and would send someone up, no one showed up so 4 hours later we seen housekeeping and she took care of it. Opened one of the dresser drawer and to find a plastic bag and I think a pair of old underwear in it, I was not gonna touch it so not sure if it was used. Also being pet friendly they should put them on 1 floor, the room near us had a barking dog. There was a spot under the window that we couldn't figure out if it was old food or what. The knob to adjust the room temp to cooler or warmer was missing.

We have stayed at this vacation home several times. This time was the worst. When we checked in, they said there is only one key because they lost the other one. There was mold in the bathoom. There were dirty towels on the hook behind the door. We found mouse feces in the kitchen drawer, on the countertop, and in the bedroom. The dishes were dirty in the cupboard. When you spend this much on a cabin, you should not have to clean to use the kitchen. You should not have to bring your own trash to a dumpster far away with threat of a 300 dollar fine. So disappointing. When we checked out, they didn't even ask how the stay was.

First, the customer service was top notch. Friendly and efficient check in. Second, two hour after checking out and several miles away from the hotel, I got a call that my wedding ring had been left behind. The honesty and helpfulness of the staff was so appreciated !
Now, the beds are quite firm and not the most comfortable, and the walls and ceilings are paper thin. You can hear everything.
The property was clean and space was roomy.

The property looked neglected and was not very clean. Was originally given a room that hadn't been cleaned since the last guest. Then given another room with mold growing in the bathroom and room smelled moldy. Do not recommend this property.

I've stayed at this location multiple times for personal convenience reasons. Rooms are very reasonable priced. That being said, the facility is a little dated and not maintained as well as it should be. I've had issues with the room card readers literally every time I have stayed there. At various times I've also have had issues with the room phones and toilets not flushing.

We are sorry. But this hotel has actually literally been the worst hotel experience we have ever had and was unprecedented. The hotel has absolutely no insulation and any attempt at soundproofing. You can hear everything from other rooms. There were also people blasting their TVs at ridiculous levels all night long and through the morning. Hotel staff did nothing about this and we informed them about it. Due to this we were offered another room while being able to keep the suite room we were paying for. We were still paying full suite price while not using the suite then. But we were fine with that only because that gave us an option for 2 rooms in the event some very rude inconsiderate person again decided to blast their TVs at very high to full volume. But from the 2nd room on 2nd night we found out the issue was not only because someone was blasting their tv at ridiculously high levels. It was also due to no insulation and sound proofing at all as mentioned before for context. So even when TVs from other rooms were at normal volume. You could still hear everything like it was in your room practically. The suite room was quiet at the time we checked it out again. So we moved back to that room a different night. But then if things couldn’t get any worse. Maybe the same person or another. A very rude inconsiderate person was smoking which got into our room. We informed hotel staff of this and moved back to the other room. But noise kept us up still at night and morning agai….

Vending machines not only not working but the drink machine was empty on a Saturday night. Cups were not stocked at breakfast and the coffee in the lobby was cold. Although they offer a free breakfast, it was premade, previously frozen, primarily needing to be reheated by guests and unappealing. Overall, amenities are subpar but the rooms are clean and comfortable.

The first room we checked into had a musty smell and the bedding was moist.
We did get switched to another place with only two bedrooms instead of three, but could not get our money back due to booking with Expedia.
Second two bedroom was nice fairly clean. No towels, and only one roll of toilet paper.

We like this place. This is our first time in the cabins. Very spacious and accommodating. I do wish that for a three bedroom house that there were more seats for the table. The mattresses were a bit to be desired i ended up on the couch both nights for more comfort.
The fireplace made everything cozy.

Room was clean but dated with an older bedspread, curtains, and rug. Towels were older with no fluff. Small little round soap. Microwave and refrigerator were great. Breakfast had quite a nice variety. Very dark to check in at night away from the busy road, so quiet but our heating unit was noisy. Good price point for what we needed to visit our granddaughter at Northern.

Booked this hotel mainly for pool and hot tub, hot tub was shut down. In the pictures it shows you will be staying in a private cabin and when we arrived it was just a hotel room. I put the \"thjs room heedd cleaned sign on the door for hours and nobody ever cleaned. I had to take the trash out myself because they werent cleaning anything. The free breakfast was terrible with only a couple yougur cups, some bagels and cereal without milk. All in all very disappointing.

The beds were hard, and the pull out sofa had mold on the mattress area. The positive was the continental breakfast had pre-made egg sandwiches which was a nice addition to the usual waffles, cereal, yogurt breakfast. My child made a waffle that stuck to the waffle maker (they got as much waffle out as possible), the man taking care of the breakfast area made his displeasure to that known.

I did not realize our room was on the second floor. The staff reacted quickly and said if I had a problem with the stairs they would move us. I had no trouble with the stairs. They were not steep, had a landing half way up and had a sturdy railing. The breakfast was nice. All the staff was friendly.

I will do a Cliff note version since I only have 1500 letters. It was a dump and service was horrible. We were not greeted upon entry, the man at the front desk was lazy and dressed like he was going to a BBQ and struggled for words, we had to get our keys activated 10 times in three days, the air conditioning quit working, the TV remote didn’t work, the snack machines didn’t work, they refused to switch out our room when our air-conditioning went out, the strips in the bottom on the bathtub were black from dirt, there was no plastic shower curtain only cloth. They didn’t reach all the way a claw across the bathtub, causing the floor to be soaked. The towel bar fell apart when I gently moved the washcloth over to plug in my blow dryer, and after having to reach out to the guy at the front desk, a half a dozen times he had the audacity to say that he can’t believe how much everybody is complaining. I would’ve rather slept in my car.

Great place to stay for the price!

I admit we didn't expect much. For the price we had hoped to get a moderately clean, decently comfy-ish room, with hopefully working wifi and maybe even donuts for breakfast. But we were very pleasantly surprised.

Admittedly the outside looks a bit like an abandoned building, but the inside is nicely decorated and comfy. Our beds were comfy, our room was clean, and all the assorted bits and bobs worked (although the fridge froze everything solid!). The pool was clean and not too crowded, and the weekend breakfast offered a surprising array of choices - yoghurt, cereal, eggs, bagels, biscuits and gravy, bacon, potatoes (these were admittedly pretty terrible), fruit, coffee and juice, scones, plus a few other things I'm probably forgetting.

In the interest of full disclosure, the backdoor to the building was supposed to be accessible with your room keycard, but the lock was covered over with a thick slab of tape, so anyone could get in and out at any time. Also, the chain lock inside the room was broken. So from a security standpoint, it's probably not the safest location. Then again, Ishpeming isn’t widely known for it's frequent serial murders, so you'll probably be fine.

All in all, for the price you pay, you get more than your money's worth, and we were very happy. We will definitely stay here again.

Good location for recreation and airport

Enjoyed the quiet clean room. It was a good stop along my multi day journey across northern Michigan. It is close to a great trail, the Iron Ore Heritage Trail, and the nice little towns of Ishpeming and Negaunee, and not too far from the larger Marquette. It worked well as a place to stay before flying out of the Marquette airport the next day , which is only 25 mins away. I rented an e-bike from a shop in Negaunee, Love and Bikes.

Nice big piece property. Cute looking cabins. I stayed in a room in main building. Lobby was very nice. Breakfast was better than average. But the carpet was gross. The towels were dingy with tiny dots of rust.
So a couple things about hotels in the UP. Their busy seasons are short. Their clientele are rough on hotels. Snowmobilers, mountain bikers, people who just camped rough for a week, travelling hockey teams.

They have tried very hard to upgrade the property but it looks closed when you drive up. The landscape is neglected, it looks a little run down and it isn’t very inviting. The lobby was updated but seemed very dark. The inside is cheaply updated but just doesn’t feel cozy. The command strips were still on the wall with no picture. The room next door had the picture fall of the wall during the night. The furniture was cheap and bubbling from moisture. It just felt dingy. We paid almost $200 per night and I expected a nicer hotel for the price. I would expect to pay half of that for what we got. On the other hand, it seems clean and staff was friendly. Close to restaurants.

I would stop again if in the area. But there was a couple of things that were not the best. When we pulled up to the hotel I wasn't sure it was even open. The front of the building had no indication of it being open.
There is no elevator. It made getting the suitcase to the second floor a little difficult.
The room picked up a lot of noises all evening, into the night.
The bathroom was clean except around the tub on the floor edge and where it meets in the corner

The pool is wonderful and just the right temperature.. A huge Hot tube/ jacuzzi and a wet steam sauna.. There is a micro brewery/restaurant across the street.. A bowling alley game room across the street. McDonalds, Subway and Taco Bell in walking distance.. It is quiet and peaceful as it is a block off US 41.

Cons: Noisy, It sounded like people were moving furniture upstairs all evening! The walls must be thin because you can hear people in the next room. Ammenities were lacking: soap was truly just a very tiny sliver, no conditioner or lotion, TP was very thin. Main breakfast consisted of premade packaged food to put in microwave. Did not taste good, but they also offered yougurt, cereal, etc. Only 5 tables of 2 chairs each, so it was hard to find a place to sit with friends.
