The pool was cold. The hot tub needed a part, so it was closed. The breakfast was very limited during the week days. The room was adequate and quiet. The staff was pleasant.

Not well kept. Stayed 5 nights, no towels, no trash, no cleaning, no service. Much more rustic than then cities show. Continental breakfast is a joke. Seems to be a lot of “full time” residents just hanging around the place. If you’re looking for a rustic stay in Marquette, look also where. This place is just run down.

It was just ok. Our room still smelled like it used to be a smoking room. But ok for a cheap night to stay. Staff Saturday night said hot breakfast Sunday (French toast sticks, scrambled eggs). But just cold cereal, oatmeal packets and muffins. Which is fine. Like I said its ok for a cheap night. Bed was comfy- they have a pool and sauna which is cool.

The bed was comfortable and the water hot. The fan on the wall AC unit successfully blocked out traffic sounds from the highway. That being said, the motel is worn down. The staff was friendly during the check-in process; however, it was disconcerting to wait in line as four young men who looked to be of high school age checked in for the Friday night. Two elderly women in lawn chairs were smoking outside two rooms nearby my assigned one.

The staff was great! The rooms are outdated, but serve the purpose of a place to sleep. The pool is ice cold. The property used to be maintained very well and has gone downhill over the years.

The fridge in our room was not working and so we lost some food night 1 before we realized it was not getting cold even on the highest setting. The fan in our bathroom also did not work, and squeaked extremely loudly and continuously whenever the bathroom light was on. Our flyer upon check in said to tell the front desk if we needed new towels or needed dirty ones picked up. We did so two nights in a row and our towels didn't get picked up for 3 days. We have stayed at cedar motor inn many many times and it is a comfort to us! But this wasn't our best visit!

We stayed here for two nights. The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. The room was dirty, there was dirt all in the sheets. Dust all over. There was a hole in the wall. There was a broken tree blocking the door entrance. This is an older hotel that needs updating. But for the price it did the job and it was ok.

I think the t.v.s' should be bigger. Instructions on how to work tv. Also sturdier cups for hot drinks ( my mom is 82, hard to hold without squeezing, could lead to burns) Room 199, the TV was on the corner wall of the bathroom, hard for the person in far bed to watch. Room 182, no phone, and again larger tvs. More outlets in the room

the baseboard heat was very noisy clicking and clunking so it was hard to sleep. the tv was mounted to the wall way out of line of sight from the bed, and the \"breakfast\" was subpar not even bagels or waffles. just muffins or cereal. but then again, I understand you get what you pay for and I definitely didn't pay much.

It all started off on the wrong foot i requested early check they did grant my noon check in but when i got to the hotel at 12:35 they said the room was not ready. I was supposed to be in a newly renovated room however this was definitely not the case. To start the vinyl floor was really dirty and parts of it was sticking up i found out the hard way when a piece of it got stuck in my toe. The door had roughly a half in gap on the side when fully closed. The TV was not even close to be mounted straight. The chairs in the room where horrible and looked to have bite marks on them. the Window AC unit also had plenty of exposed gaps. I thought i might go for a swim while in the hot tub two other joined and started vaping in the hot tub right next to me. And the worker who walked by multiple times didn't care at all. Also no hair dryer in the room and when i told the front desk they said oh sometimes people go into different rooms and dont bring them back. The lighting in the room also left a lot to be desired.

There are 2 \"sides\" of this motel: (1) renovated and nice, and (2) VERY OLD and falling apart. All the photos on Travelocity are of the newly renovated side - and it is pure chance that you get one of those rooms. The room I was put into was old, smelly, the trim was falling off, the toilet didn't flush without holding down the handle for a good minute - and then, just barely, and the sink was plugged. The tile floor in the bathroom was super grimy and the carpet was filthy. We stayed two nights and saw no maid service, no fresh towels, no nothing. The staff at front desk was nice when I got there but shrugged when I told them the room they gave me wasn't the room I reserved. Avoid this motel unless you call them personally and can be assured that you get the remodeled section - not the section by the pool. Argh. It was terrible. I should have spent a bit more to stay at the Holiday Inn across the street. One more thing - a storm had taken out all of the parking lot lights. It was so dark I could hardly find the proper door when I arrived. I regret not taking pictures of all of this.

We stayed here last year and thought it was fair for the price, but after our stay this year it has declined significantly and not even worth the price we paid. The room was dirty, although the bedding was clean..we had to clean the chairs and table before we could use them and the sauna floor was un-swept and dirty. Would not recommend staying here.

We stayed here during a blizzard in case our power went out. The room was a great size and clean. The shower water pressure was pretty poor and the continental breakfast was very sprase despite getting there at a decent time and not seeing many other guests there. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were great. The staff we talked to were polite.

I liked the room I had very much. There beds aren't bad at all. They aren't the super mattress, but a nicer middle of the road. It's a perfect kinda balance for me. I just need a place for solid rest and a meal before the journey continues. This is very affordable for this purpose without having to say deal with a discussing bathroom half cleaned and a scary mattress you just know has something awful waiting for you. Nope, this is just simple accommodations nothing bad about it. Parking isn't bad per se but the hills can be a challenge in the winter. Overall...it's a great place with a great location for a very reasonable rate.

Rooms were not very clean. Could feel the dirt on the floors. Because it’s winter there was a lot of snow in the parking lot and was difficult to get over the banks into the rooms. And because of the snow you had to see all of the pet urine and feces and tobacco juice that is in the snow. This could be avoided by having the lot cleared a little better. Breakfast is minimal at best. Cereal, oranges, bread and oatmeal was about the extent of it. For the price it is not a terrible experience, but it could use a little cleaning and maintenance of the area. Staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable.

Room heater wouldnt adjust temp properly. Cold and had it at 75. Bed uncomfortable and too small for 2 people. Walls dirty and scuff marks. Very dirty place and walking outside to lobby was cold and inconvenient. No one at desk. Had to wait for desk clerk. They need to stopcdoi n g housekeeping job and stay at counter! No sleep.

Very dirty in room, hallway and pool area. I cut my foot walking towards the hot tub. Sharp rocks or something metal around area. Hot water for drinks was cold. Had to turn thermostat up to 80 to feel 68 in room . Allergy attack from how dirty it was with dust that had to go too emergency room and local Walmart to get pills to help. Check in staff wasn't friendly and not helpful. Morning front desk gave attitude when I asked for hot cocoa and when I said hot water was cold. No clocks in rooms asked for a wake up call and it was an hour late.

Upon arrival, we had to walk in 3-4inches of snow. I get that it’s Upper Michigan, but at least keep a path shoveled. We were given our keys by a friendly staff member and upon entering our room, a guest was already inside. We went back, changed rooms and the bed looked like it had already been slept in. I chose to sleep on the fold out couch, which had a mattress beyond its life. My husband slept in the bed and said it was comfortable. Breakfast was minimal, 5 cereals, three types of mini muffins, oranges, orange juice, coffee and milk. The coffee was good. Morning staff didn’t acknowledge our presence at all. We went back to our room and I decided I wanted more coffee, the pot had the grounds still in it from a previous guest, made another pot and the coffee packets are clearly not for a 4 cup coffee maker. I put two in and the coffee was still too weak. We stayed in a suite room, I didn’t realize these were detached from the main motel, so we didn’t get a chance to use the pool, hot tub, or sauna as it was a pretty long walk in the snow in a bathing suit. The price was good. We stay in Marquette a few times a year and I would give them another chance.

I’m originally from Marquette, and my boyfriend and I decided to take a night trip to visit family. The lobby was great, but as we entered the halfway point, a strong odor of old must hit us. When we finally reached our room, the smell persisted, accompanied by cigarette smoke, which was a violation of the non-smoking policy.

We opened the windows to try and ventilate the room, but it was still in a state of disarray. The sheets had stains, the carpet was disgusting (ripped), and there was dust everywhere.

During our stay, I sustained a deep cut while we were eating in bed. As a nurse, I asked my boyfriend to help me stop the bleeding. We went to the front desk to express our complaints, but unfortunately, no one was there to assist us.

We left the hotel late at night due to the appalling cleanliness and the overpowering smell. More importantly, the wound was quite deep, and I ended up receiving six stitches in my hand that night well sitting in the ER for three hours.

When I called to inquire about the $250 charge, they claimed that it was a waste hazard because of the blood. It was clear that they lacked empathy and accountability for their actions. I will never stay at this money stealing hotel again.

Front desk staff was awesome! They were very flexible and accommodating. One of the cleaning ladies was really rude. She told me to go smoke next to a gas pipeline and I was well away of 25 feet from an entrance. The bed was comfortable and the room clean just a little outdated. But 10 stars for the front desk staff!

The room had a mildew smell. We thought we could air it out while gone from the room- but it was worse. We went to the desk and requested a different room. The clerk was accommodating and gave us a different room. A few minutes later she came to Our room and said we would need to pay for the new room, because housekeeping had left for the day, so they would not be able to book the stinky room. We the requested to speak to the manager who had directed the clerk to tell us how they plan to handle i-us paying for 2 rooms.

Finally after several back and forth, wee said, we were staying in the clean room and would not be paying for a second room. She said we might not be able to rent from them again as we would be on a list with a paper trail. Very disappointed-especially being a return customer.
