Really needs an upgrade! Staffwas great!
Also we brought our dog & asked for a room near an exit door to take her out. Our room was right next to the exit & when you went out the door there was no grass to be found & it emphasized how run down the hotel is.
If it was upgraded, we’d plan on staying more, great location, walking to downtown area is awesome.

This hotel needs a little work. Not horrible. Just a little run down. The room was pretty clean. No complaints there. Just the hall ways. Elevator reminds me of a shady apartment complex. Lots of rust. Paint wearing off etc. the oool and hot tub were okay. It’s a good location as you are right in The center of Marquette. Price was a little steep over $200. I’ve stayed at much nicer properties for less. That week was graduation weekend for the local university. NMU. So they could raise prices a bit. Nice restraint and bar on site. Very delicious food and drinks. Lots of unique choices. The whole staff was wonderful. I would stay here again if I need a place to rest my head.

Clean room, but very cold outside air leaking into the room around the base of the heating unit.

Would be nice to have a soda vending machine.

Staff and bartenders were professional and efficient.

Elevator is in rough shape. Could use new flooring and a coat of paint. Also, since our room was directly adjacent to the elevator, you could hear it through the wall.

Yes, the room was clean, but had no shampoo or body soap to take showers with or bar soap for the sink in the bathroom.
And when I travel that far and stay in a hotel overnight, I would hope for some breakfast in the morning and not from a restaurant that I have to go buy after I spent all the money on the hotel room and bought dinner at the expensive restaurant the night before

If you have a pool side room be aware that they do not enforce the pool hours and people (adults and kids) can be very loud in there, even if it is unintentional. Both early in the morning and late at night.

Location is OK to visit downtown Marquette. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly, restaurant & bar downstairs was great. Hotel is quite old and in desperate need of a serious exteriors and interior (including rooms) renovation. Rooms with entrance by the swimming pool have a heavily chlorinated atmosphere to walk from the lobby to the room through the pool area. I found it overpriced for what is the standard at that price level but I also understand hotels in town have the upper hand given how remote town is.

Nostalgia in Marquette

Room was good, felt old, had to turn on the heat and it made the room swell bad, guess the heat had not been turned on since last year.
Mattress was way to hard, do the guest a favor and add a topper!
Staff was very kind! They do have a restaurant inside.
Overall a good room, clean had all you need, but could use an extra cabinet to set things on!
Good places to eat nearby!
Awesome bakery near by!

The newly remodeled bar/restaurant is beautiful! Unfortunately everything else is very outdated. I hope there are plans to continue with remodeling/updating the rooms and the rest of the hotel. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Marquette.

right in the heart of town. Did not care about how we stayed in another building from the main building parking was a little different as not much room over by the other building. The updating in the room was not the best job, the toilet base was gross never been cleaned you could tell as it had brown streaks down it,the carpet needs a good scrubbing, the paint job was horrible as they painted over wall paper that was peeling off the walls. If feel for the price of over $200 it should have been a little cleaner and a little better remodel/paint job.. love the town and the cool farmers market they had that saturday morning

The building is, obviously, dated. The room was clean, comfortable bed. We stayed 4 nights and never had any housekeeping services (didn't even empty the small trash cans), which i think unfortunately is the new normal in most hotels. I would think with the prices these days you would at least get your trash emptied. The pool was COLD, not really comfortable to swim in. Pretty sure Lake Superior was warmer than the pool. Location is convenient to walk to shops, restaurants on Washington and the lake/harbor is just a bit farther.

Place is an old dorm in not a good neighborhood. Outdated, smelled like an old bowling alley. Only place to eat is the restaurant that I refused to eat at because it was expensive in a disgusting hotel. Homeless shelter right across the street. I should have done more research before I booked it.

Family vacation in Marquette

Family stay in the Marquette area decided to stay downtown at this hotel. Although an older hotel, the rooms and lobby were fairly modern. We had accommodations with a separate living room, which made it great to have an entertainment/relaxing area away from sleeping. Loved being downtown and enjoyed some food and beverage along the strip with some short hikes to the marina and related park, where they had a new big kids play ground. Pool water was freezing, but hot tub was adequate. No continental breakfast, but had a nice restaurant/bar for breakfast or pastry shops down the block. Spent time checking out pictured rocks, Munising, and Greywalls Golf Course (bucketlist). Also, check out Jilbert Dairy for ice cream.

We have stayed at the Ramada off and on beginning in 2018.The change in ownership has been a positve, the new restaruant, cleaniness, and staff have been a positve improvement to the hotel. The focus on updating will continue to make the Ramada a good place to stay. In fact we will staying here several weekends in September.

I usually stay at the ramada in for its convenient location, swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. The hot tub was out of order. No bueno :(
Upside, the restaurant was revamped and is pretty good. Last year you couldnt have paid me enough to eat there again, this year it was amazing.
See you again in august. Pls fix the hot tub
