First let me say that the property is a very old mansion turned into a B&B. We expected a certain level of \"charm\" and were not disappointed. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was very good the next morning. is was served restaurant style with many separate table, which we shared with a couple from Starkville, MS. It was raining off and on while we were there so we didn't really get to experience the outdoor amenities. Our room was in an out building, was large and the small kitchen was nice. The shower needs a new head, but had plenty of pressure. The furniture is getting on the well-used side, but was comfortable. I am sure the rooms inside the house are probably a little better, so make sure you ask for one of those. The house itself is wonderful. We took the historic tour the next morning before we left. It was very informative.
If you enjoy quaint stays and don't need the ambiance of a corporate locations, then you can find a home here. We would stay again, if we could stay in the main house.

Spectacular restored Antebellum mansion in a sadly run down neighborhood. Stuffed with wonderful antiques. 3 course cooked breakfast. Huge 4 poster comfy bed. Wonderful history tour after breakfast. Infinity stars❤️🤪

We loved staying in this antebellum home. The history and richness of the home was wonderful. My husband and I were in Vicksburg for a family wedding. The only problem we had was the tv in our room would not work and the staff on site could not get it to. My husband really wanted to watch football. Other than that hiccup, it was a lovely stay.

We were utterly disappointed. It began when Harley texted that no one would be there to greet us due to \"world conditions\". Seeing the boarded-up doors and windows on nearby buildings, we were concerned. We were never told what she meant.
Gardens were overgrown and the pool was unusable. We entered the Camellia Room and found dust everywhere. Paint spatters were on the furnishings and rugs. A paint can lid had been left on a windowsill. Three windows had cracked panes. The doorknob on the outside door fell off. The main doors to were never locked.

Called ahead to let them know we would be late for check in they said they would send me a text with all the info to check in late an how to get key , had to call back to get the info then when we drove all night an got there around 10:30 there was no key to our room in the lock box an no one would answer the phone or help us so we had no where to stay after driving all night so we drove 2 more hours an got a hotel in Hattiesburg.

Downside was that some staff services and the logistics could have been better. The hair conditioner bottle was indeed shampoo. My dietary preference at breakfast didn’t make it to the kitchen staff (or it was ignored/ forgotten). Staff Couldn’t find the key to my room upon check in.

The home is elegant and welcoming. We only had one thing that bothered us but wasn’t worth scoring lower for, the bed. The squeak at ever movement caused us to wake each other if we had to roll over.

Very friendly staff. The tour guide was amazing. Parking is free but you need to navigate carefully. The rooms can't be cooled below 72 or they leak per the signs in the room.
Beware it isn't the properties fault but palmetto bugs do get into the room. We found a couple larger spiders in the bed too. One of the sitting chairs had some type of small reddish bugs under it and I couldn't tell what they were.
Overall I'd say the directions could be clearer for where you need to go. We were told the kitchen could make us an earlier breakfast on the day we were departing, however we couldn't get into the mansion. We did stay in the hideaway room so maybe it's different in the mansion.

After arriving at the mansion the outside looked quite rundown (house dirty, paint peeling) and the neighborhood surrounding the mansion was a place I did not want to leave my vehicle on the street over night (if you have a larger pickup there is no place to park off the street). We did not talk to the staff or go inside. We made our decision to get accommodation elsewhere based solely on the looks of the exterior and the neighborhood.

The breakfast and tour were fantastic. The Hideaway suite needs to be taken off the option to stay in until a major renovation that goes with the period of time in which this house was built is done. The decor and flooring were shocking in this room. The grounds around the building was completely neglected. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

A well kept 1856 mansion. Beautiful inside and out. Staff was very friendly and made sure our stay was great. If you can't climb stairs to second floor they do have ground level rooms. All rooms are decorated differently. Hope to return to this jem in the south.

What a treasure to get to stay in a piece of history. The property has been beautifully restored and furnished. Each morning we had a different, preselected breakfast, which was delicious. After breakfast a guided tour of the home is available, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Complimentary beverages are available. Our room didn’t have a blow dryer, but had nice soap and shampoo/cond. Within 400 ft is also the Anchuca House, which serves dinner. The Duff Green Mansion is close to downtown (we walked) and not far from all the historical sites. We weren’t sure which floor our room was on at first, so it might help to ask the property before you arrive since they don’t have a front desk person. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay, stately & beautiful. But if you are looking for any “ghostly” appearances, I think the AC unit scares them off. Breakfast was yummy & in a very pretty, formal setting, however everyone was served the same dish. Biscuits, fresh fruit cup, juice, chicken & waffles (no choice) We didn’t get to do the tour, but I heard some of it & if we are ever through again, we will make the time! This is an historic & educational location.

This is an interesting and historical location. The owner goes out of her way to please. For example she provided cream and decaf pods for our room when none was available. This is an old property so expect Old World charm. The staff is excellent, professional and friendly.The parking closest to the house is a little tight and hard to maneuver in so be prepared to park on the street if your vehicle is large.I would suggest checking in before dark especially if you're alone as you have to find keys and move your belongings in and it's a bit dark and far. iThe breakfast is elegant and delicious and they accommodated our dietary needs. The biscuits are the best! The guide and house tour are excellent so take time to enjoy it! We enjoyed the quiet and the size of our room. The cable TV channels are very limited so don't come expecting unlimited access. The Wifi was fine. The location is great and much to do, see and eat nearby. We would come again although the price was high. However we were prepared to splurge for a special trip to Vicksburg.You really step back in time here!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Duff Green Mansion. Everyone from the owner to the employees were friendly and helpful. It was clean and had a great breakfast. It's an elegant place with an interesting story. Treat yourself to a piece of history. I really would have liked to have had more time to spend in Vicksburg. One note if you have mobility issues, request a ground floor room because it has a lot of stairs, and some are winding in nature. Perhaps a bell hop service would be an option.
