I was kind of old, the room was ok but other areas of the hotel kind of old
Therese
Very poor selection for the continental breakfast.
Philippe
Belle chambre, propre et assez grande. Lieu tranquille
Nicola
We stayed one night on our way to Saint Felician. We loved being able to park in front of our room as it makes unloading and loading the vehicle so much easier. The room was clean, had two very comfortable beds and the AC unit was amazing and so quiet! We slept great. Breakfast was okay as not much variety.
I would definitely stay here again.

Notre endroit préféré en Mauricie, toujours agréable et jamais déçu.

The room was well appointed and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the area very quiet which contributed to a good sleep. The breakfast was basic and adequate and the total price was very reasonable. As a one night, passing through stop it was great.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel after 3 weeks on the road. We called ahead and they changed our room from the 2nd floor (no elevator) to the first floor, which was very handy for moving all our luggage. This was the only hotel that we have stayed in that you could use your key to get in either door...from the hallway and also directly from the outside where our car was parked. The room was clean and comfortable with lots of space for luggage, etc. We really liked the numerous lights over the beds for reading. Unlike some reviews, we found it very quiet.
The beds (box springs?) had a funny squeak when you sat on them and we had some difficulty with the TV and couldn't get the volume to work.
We would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel! Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean, shower curtain had a funky smell and the were obvious cigarette burn marks on the toilet seat. All in all, not a bad place.
Kenneth
Room was okay but location made it impossible for walking to restaurants and bars

Really noisy from 10:30 pm to 01:30 am with young kids running around, 2 different women yelling in corridors and many door slamming issues. Tried 6 times to contact hotel staff without answers. If you want to relax and enjoy your stay,.. think about it twice
Cody
It was hot in the room 24 degrees had to open the window as there is no fan or AC in the winter
Marina
The hotel is clean and comfortable. Sophie, the night receptionist was amazing! She was really helpful in every singles sense.
I definitely recommend it!

Clean and quiet!
Claire
This was not as expected. The room was fine though not like the pictures. The hall was packed with walkers boots drying off on the floor and hanging from the lights. The breakfast reminded me of a hostel. Toast, yogurt in the fridge and a cup of tea. Excellent position and the recommended restaurant close by was great. The place was fine just not as expected.
SHINGO
Renovated room was clean and comfort. Friendly staff. Breakfast was simple (several type of bread, fruits, yogurt, and drinks).

The property is old as expected, and I requested for 1st floor, but they still gave me the 2nd floor, which there is no elevator in this buidling, not friendly for femal traveller.
The staff, a young lady told me, if I want to stay in 1st floor, there is 20 dollar extra! What the hell!

Parking area very safe, normal continental breakfast, no frills.
Shirley
The down side is the Breakfast is very poor, in a hotel that costs $220 per night with taxes, its frankly unacceptable, Friday the hotel ran out of eggs ! So no eggs Saturday morning ( no one went out and bought some more eggs) Saturday morning no cheese either ? there was never any ham or cold cuts, only Toast and Jam, just not good enough. Hotel Marineau management needs a review and an upgraded breakfast program.
Front desk staff available 24/7 yes, but sit there playing on there phones while the outside garbage bins are overfull and remain that way for three days, some work to be done on houskeeping here

The pictures are really nice compared to when you show up at a Motel , with your door that opens on the parking lot. My mistake on renting fast without looking up more the hotel before renting.

Just ok
We checked in at 8h30PM. Staff was friendly and quick to check us in. Got to our room and it was 29 C inside (84F) - AC was not put on before our stay. Took over 4hours to cool the room down.
I appreciate the fact that there isn’t any carpet. Beds were comfortable. Pillows not so much.

The rom was clean, but they don’t have any shampoo and the soap was so little. The carpet in the stairs was really dirty. Because of that, it’s a 3 stars for me. We did’nt have our breakfast there, so no comments on that.
Azra
The hotel was very clean and spacious.

Price charged was very high considering the slow season. Expedia also charges high commission on the booking. As there is no elevator, it becomes difficult for some people.

Perfect lil apartment hotel on our drive.
We booked our room last minute while driving through. We Loved this place. We parked right outside our door and there was another door in the room that led to the hallway. The man at the desk was very helpful and friendly. The room is like a lil apartment. Breakfast was also wonderful. Loved the assortment of jams. Keep up the good work.

Old and Pricey Hotel
A fairly old hotel. Amenities are far worse than the pictures suggest. Confusing check-in and check-out procedures. Noise insulation is insufficient. Quite poor selection at breakfast. The hotel has a poor price quality ratio. A lack of other options in Shawinigan is the only reason for the high rates per night.
Nancy
Room lighting was excellent!! Very good breakfast and plenty of towels.

Giovanni
The staff was amazing. Accommodating with all the requests we had.
Sarah
Very fast and easy one night stay.

We liked our stay and would stay again

Receptionist was excellent!!
JUAN
The room was very good, a good king bed, fridge, coffee machine, a sofa and a small table. Very comfortable, the breakfast a self serve with quite a few options. We were quite near to Mauricie National Park and downtown where there were many options for a drink or dinner.
I would recommend this hotel as a good option and the photographs online were what we found, even advised we were staying on a first floor with no elevator.
Thanks, for the good service.

Nice and close to the National Park
Charlotte
Pleasant and friendly
All great except thought cleaning staff would daily come in to empty the one /only garbage can and take away the pile of wet/used towels etc… we had to ask for extra. The railing up the stairway was a bit shaky but other than that, rooms were very nice, staff was helpful and friendly and breakfast in mornings were satisfying. Thumbs up

Ok.
Bit of a disappointment. Yes, nicely updated but things are already showing age. Floor and rug at door did not feel clean. Breakfast not very exciting.
Seems they have no daily service, no ‘do not disturb’ or ‘please clean my room’
signs. Felt anonymous.
Pros: bed comfortable. Good shower. Quiet.
