On s'entend cest un hotel bas de gamme mais pourquoi pas dire aux gens que la piscine est tres fermée!!!
Jonathan
Clean and very nice.

Un peu vieillot mais la chambre était grande et propre.
Maurice
Clean room with ample space to work or relax. Close to amenities (supermarket, pharmacy, bakery) and park on main road of Grand-Mere / five-minute drive
Michel
I arrived at the hotel and asked if I could plug my car in an ordinary plug. The answer was « no ». We should be able to plug our electric cars wherever we go in hotels or motels. It's not a big expense. Very low actually. Also, there was an electric outage during over more than an hour and nobody told us what was going on. Poor service even if the place was clean and calm.
Annie-jeannie
Renovated room, staff was helpful but the coffee pot didn’t work. Price was ok when it’s a short trip or driving through for a nights trip. I’ll stop by again if I travel that way. Thanks

The facilities are adequate. There are few other choices in the area for golfers at the excellent Grand'Mere golf course nearby.
Monica
Helpful staff. Posted address for hotel reservation showed Shawinigan but motel was located in Grand mere, a sector of Shawinigan but confusing for Google maps which should help find the place easier. Signage could be improved especially at night to find the motel.
Claude
Chambre communiquante aucune priveauté.
Philip
Although the building is likely ~50 years old, the interior has been comprehensively, tastefully, and well renovated with enlarged modern rooms and bathrooms. It appeared to be quite busy while we were there, but it was very quiet in the room. Given the proximity to La Mauricie and the highway to Saguenay, as well as the charm of the Grand-Mere district of Shawinigan, it is a good choice.
Tao
It’s at a really nice location to visit the La Mauricie National park. Rooms are clean. There were a few noisy guests at late night. The WiFi speed was very slow.
Yvonne
The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The outdoor pool looked really nice to swim in - I regret forgetting my bathing suit!
Pierre-Paul
Donald
Nice and quiet
Quick overnight stay while traveling.

Wonderful and clean room, staff was very friendly! Double check what time you plan to arrive though as the front desk closes at 11pm.

Liked everything, a lot of space, clean, quiet.
Jay
The gardens and views of the St Lawrence from our room was spectacular. The common areas in the downstairs were fantastic. We loved this place. The ambiance and vibe here was incredible. Just don’t look too closely. It needs a new roof and some of the renovations in our room weren’t the best but we didn’t care. This was our favourite place we stayed at in Charlevoix this week.
Andre

I really enjoyed my stay at La Rocaille Inn. The rooms were clean and well maintained, which contributed greatly to my comfort. The hospitality was warm, and the staff was attentive to our needs, making the experience even more pleasant. The place is calm and soothing, perfect for relaxing. I highly recommend this establishment for a relaxing and friendly stay.

Sortie 223. Qualité prix 5/5. J'y retourne l'année prochaine.

Dont stay here
The bed was like sleeping on a rock, the rooms are joined side to side and front to back VERY loud, walls are paper thin so you hear everything we only slept a few hours and left in the middle of the night, our backs are killing us from the bed

La Rocaille is a good place if you do not want the « big thing ». Décoration is not brand New but the rooms are very clean.

Stayed here for one night while visiting La Mauricie national park. Bathroom was clean and sheets were fresh. Overall a comfortable stay when visiting the area.

Spartan old place that does the job if your goal is just to have a place to sleep. It was a bit smelly but nothing big enough to be a bother.

Surprisingly spacious and comfortable, clean, comfortable bed. Despite the lacking of amenities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc if you can provide it yourself it would be a comfortable stay. Location is very nice, feels in nature. Close to national park. Friendly staff

Spacious rooms (especially the suite with 2 rooms). Option for a pool (though not heated and not lit at night). Great pricing.

: When we arrived at the property, we were greeted by two people who didn't speak English. We were given no instructions on wifi, the unit, television, or anything. The room smelled like smoke and the bed was hard. I wouldn't stay here again. When we arrived at midnight it was only 9:00 pm our local time and we weren't tired, we tried to watch TV but couldn't figure it out, everything said we had to sign in. Also, no wife was given so I couldn't stay on our cells. The stay was disappointing, to say the least
Colin
I didn't view around the property/facilities. Arrived after the supper hour (dark), was tired and stayed in my room.

Great stay!
Other than no facilities to recycle, everything was excellent!

Pretty creeped out at first due to the location but surprisingly the inside was decent and clean.
They just need new towels. The bath towels are pretty thin.
Over all I give it a 8/10. (Motel standards.)

I really liked my stay here. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The room was surprisingly lovely for the price. I was just there for an overnight stay while travelling, but I’m already planning to come back for a weekend!
Arlene
A bit dated, but clean and reasonably priced.

Ok for a night or two. Dated but quiet

All was fine until checkout - fire door was locked between motel and office, front office door was locked. No instructions given. Left key on step in front of door.

Overall, very good place to stay. The pool was a nice touch. If you’re looking to a convenient place to stay that is not to far from the national park then I highly recommend. There isn’t much in the area otherwise (and be mindful that most restaurants are shut Mondays and Tuesdays).
Manon
Renovated, clean, quier and very comfortable bed.
Stay was great, clean, quiet and the bed very comfortable. Would go back. The outside needs a little updating but the room was renovated and nice.
Ryan
Decent room for a decent price. Pool was fine as well.
Alma
The property was very clean and conveniently located closed to a fine restaurant and close to LA cITÉ DE L'ENERGIE which we also visited. Thanks

Very nice stay with family and friends! It’s location is very convenient.

The rooms were specious and clean.
Richard
We spent 3 days at la Rocaille 24-27June 2022. We had a very nice stay and staff were very welcoming and courteous. Our suite room was very comfortable. My wife is a cleanliness freak and she found the room was sparkling clean (as well as the whole auberge). Not a fancy place but EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY. I would highly recommend this auberge to anyone visiting the Shawinigan region.

Clean room and great service
No problem checking in and parking in front of our room which made it very easy and convenient to unpack. Room and bed were clean. It’s a quiet place which is good for sleeping babies. I had requested an extra baby play pen and it was delivered to our room with clean sheets. We enjoyed our stay and the great service we received. Thank you!
Valeriy
An above-average motel. Our King room was spacious, clean and recently renovated.
Andras
New bathroom and AC needed.
Old school, charming design, but rundown. Moldy caulking and grout, smelly moldy shower curtain. Old, noisy, definitely not eco friendly AC unit.
VK
Staff was great, easy to find location, clean, everything you need in a hotel room.
