Breakfast always come with fresh fruits and i always eats them while looking at the view of ricefields from the balcony.

The area is very quiet, and calming as the facility is a distance away from Ubud Central but not too far that travelling by vehicles is an inconvenience. If you can't rent motorbike the hotel also has shuttle that can take you to Ubud Central.

The staff is very helpful and the room is really clean.

The STAFF were superb! Felt like royalty living there we felt so special.
The food was excellent!
The room was very spacious, with lovely huge stone tub so water did not cool off easily so that was our hot tub! King sized canopy bed.
The pool could have been bigger and more sun around it.
Felt like we were living in a jungle.. good feeling though not negative at all. 1 free shuttle per day return to Ubud Central.

Spacious room with high ceilings, carved wooden door, balcony facing the rice fields, tiled flooring kept clean throughout the stay, large bathtub. Electric mosquito repellent provided, 2 bottles of water every day. The breakfast was pretty good and comes with a fruit platter and tea/coffee/juice, and we got the chance to order something different every night from their menu. Free shuttle (with 15-20min notice) to and from Ubud central, which was helpful as the location is some distance away. Staff was polite, friendly and helpful.

Minor inconveniences: not many hooks in the bathroom to hang stuff up, hairdryer was very weak.

But overall a wonderful, very affordable stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Junungan! Everyone was so kind and helpful. They reached out to me a few days before we arrived to arrange a pickup from the airport. The breakfast was delicious every morning with quite a few options. The location is a little bit out of the main area which makes it very peaceful. We got a daily shuttle to the downtown area and back, which made it easy to explore. We did a couple of the excursions which were so much fun! They have a pool and a spa on site. The room was beautiful, clean, and just like the photos. The view of the rice terrace from the balcony was amazing. The air conditioning worked well. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Ms. Siwi and Ms. Sri made this a very special stay. They were incredibly helpful in communicating prior to our arrival and they were accommodating and hospital during our short stay. They are the magic that made this a memorable stay. The hotel itself is small with not much social public areas. There is a lovely small pool which surprisingly was cold after the rain - a much welcome surprise given the humidity- very refreshing. The restaurant is a wide open air area below ground level. The chef prepares delicious meals and we particularly enjoyed the tumeric drink. The rooms are amazing. The hotel is basically a small reception area with an easy parking spot for cars to pull into and to pick up from, then a set of rooms on three levels (I think). Our rooms were on the ground with stunning views of the padi fields. The rooms themselves were very spacious. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked very well. The bathroom - the bathtub is enormous- the water pressure is excellent for showers and hot water is indeed hot. The room os beautifully furnished with dark woods and they provide lovely batik robes and comfy slippers. It was very relaxing. They also provide a free shuttle one a day per room to and from Ubud center. We were there during Christmas and traffic was just horrendous as many domestic tourists came with their cars. So it was quite a slog to get through the town. However, once we were at the hotel, all that disappeared. It was incredibly relaxing.

Had a great stay at this small family run hotel. The room was spacious with a sitting area and a balcony. Its an old Balinese style hotel with lots of charm. The balcony overlooks a rice field. There is shuttle service to and from central Ubud since its a distance away. The staff were outstanding. I didnt visit the spa (think it was under construction) but i had an amazing massage in my room. Overall this property was well worth it for the price I paid.

My stay at junjungan was fantastic & I recommend this property to everybody! The staff were incredibly kind & personable - all of them addressed me by name and were always doing their best to make sure their guests were happy. The property itself is beautiful & quaint, and the on-site restaurant is delicious & reasonably priced, I ate many of my meals there! My room was huge, bed was incredibly comfortable, & very clean. My stay at junjungan was fantastic- highly recommend this accommodation!
The only “bad” comment I have is that it is a bit out of walking distance to ubud- but the property offers a shuttle service with 2 drop points in ubud & gojek/grab services are available.

Jujungan was a great place to stay. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We had to miss breakfast due to an early tour and they prepared a small breakfast to take with us at 4am. They also replied quickly to our questions via Expedia message before our stay. Our shower was broken and they fixed it right away. The view in the back was beautiful. The shuttle is only 1 round trip per day so plan around that. Food was good. AC not that strong. Swimming pool is small and looked a bit dirty, we didn't see anyone use it. Lock on doors were different and felt a bit unsafe but there was always someone at the front which was reassuring. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at Junjungan.

This place is a hidden gem. The staff are so lovely and accommodating, the spa staff give one of the finest deep tissue massages I have ever had, the doors in our suite were really traditional. Solid wood doors with wooden latches. Charming as can be. The bath was huge and comfy. The setting is Asian pastoral and sooooo peaceful. Rice padies and lots of birds. The sound of water running over rocks is everywhere. Clean and cozy throughout.

The restaurant was not busy but the food was always excellent and we often prefered it to the restaurants we tried. The chicken satay was the best. Flavour to spare. And a beautiful water feature entrance we really loved.

Did I tell you how great the staff are? My wife and I absolutely loved our stay there and highly recommend it.

The staff at this hotel are amazing! Siwi and Sri, among others, took care of us in the most supportive, caring, and respectful way. The balconies of each room look out on the rice paddies. This resort was fantastic for quaint, authentic charm. The rooms were just fantastic to make you feel like you are in traditional Bali. The view of the rice fields was so cool. Just make sure you aren’t expecting a modern upscale resort. This resort is all about charm and character. It is very comfortable and the restaurant food is good. There are some great restaurants close by that you can walk to. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

One of the best people we met and the best place we stayed during our travels. From airport pick up and bali tours by Mr. Nyoman to welcoming reception and daily service provided by Sri, Ngyrah,Siwi, Ruspita and the team, our 6 day stay here was just perfect. The staff is nothing short of amazing. I extended my stay because it was such a gem. As a female solo traveler, I felt really safe there. The view from the balcony is really nice. I actually liked the fact that it was not directly In crowded Ubud. The shuttle is convenient and there are good simple restaurants around the hôtel within walking distance. Thanks to everybody that made my stay so great and did not hesitate to get out of their way to help me( dropping me off on their motorbike when I was about to walk for a really long time).

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. So friendly and striving to provide the best service. They made our stay there unforgettable. The hotel is beautifully embedded in the surrounding area and our room view was amazing, looking into a rice field. Food was great, the room was comfortable and clean with everything we needed. As all the reviews say , the hospitality was excellent. We were so pleased by the service , the team provided . The studio suite are very big and comes with a great view of the rice fields. The hotel also provides cab pickup and drop to Ubud (1 per day) which was very useful .

They took great care of us, ensuring that we enjoy the food served , taking care of our breakfast needs, providing extra towels for swimming, escorting us to the cab for early morning Mt batur trek,etc

The hotel is situated right in the middle of rice fields, so you can catch some amazing views. It is little far away from the Ubud center, but the hotel provided a free shuttle which we are able to use without any issues.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The food and service is really good at the hotel. We had one small incident that was immediately solved by the hotel manager in a very satisfactory manner. The restaurant of the hotel is good and the cost is low. The hotel serves complimentary afternoon tee with cake / desert which is really delicious.
The transport to Ubud is quite effect but the hotel is located 15 minutes from the main street.
I can highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel about a 10 minute ride into center of Ubud. Complementary transportation into and from center each day of our stay. Complementary breakfast menu was extensive and excellent food as was the dinner menu which we opted for each day. Our room was very large and comfortable with a balcony that a great sunset view over the rice paddies. The location was quiet and very relaxing. The entire staff was very accommodating and helpful. Excellent value and we look forward to another visit in the near future.

We loved it! Stayed in a studio room for four nights and it was so relaxing. Comfortable bed, good a/c or cross breeze - you choose, gorgeous view from balcony of rice fields. The service was spectacular - even provided tools when we unexpectedly needed to remove a canvas from a frame to fit in our luggage. The on-call shuttle service to “downtown” was extremely convenient. We loved the huge tub and fresh cut fragrant flowers. The village of Junjungan was quaint and an oasis from the hustle and bustle of “downtown” Ubud. We even went to the village Kecak fire dance at the local temple - it was amazing. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great stay here overlooking rice fields. Very attentive staff - always polite, friendly and ready to assist in any way. Quiet location about 10 mins north of Ubud but hotel has shuttle car that can drop and pick up from Ubud whenever you want from 700-2200hrs.
Would definitely recommend and would stay here again if in the location.

We had a really nice stay at this hotel for a little more than 1 week. The staff does their best to make you happy and comfortable. We had to extend our stay an extra night due to a flight change and the staff was very accommodating. We had some issues with the shuttle but none due to staff, mainly due to other guests timing. The staff was very apologetic for the issues and tried to make it right which was really appreciated. The breakfast is awesome too. Overall, just a really great hotel, a good deal, and a great area.

We have a wonderful stay at this resort. Amongst the several stays over the years, this trip was different and was nearer the harvesting period. The view was serene and deep quiet. At night lots of fireflies to see. The reasonably price massage at the resort help to rejuvenate the body for a great night sleep.
As usual , the breakfasts and afternoon tea were great. Will return again!

Every staffs are very kind and friendly.
Room view is good and quiet.
They have suttle bus to downtown anytime.
Breakfast is also delicious.
It’s very nice time to stay here.

Excellent place to stay

First of all, thanks a lot, Mooski and other staffs. (and Mr.Rony, the manager) They made our trips extraordinary. We stayed for 8 beautiful nights.They manage hotel very well, room is spacious, foods with sincerity, oh! especially we loved their free shuttle bus to Ubud city (even they lend a local mobile device for pick up, so that you don't need to rush off). We will definitely stay at Junjungan for next trip.

Quiet hotel away from the crowds

Perfect for me, right across the road from a friends house so I could visit yet still have my own place. Nice and quiet, though very few guests. I prefer to be out of town (Ubud). But it's such a short trip in with the use of free shuttle bus I got the best of both worlds.

Wonderful hotel and staff

Although the hotel is little distant from Ubud central, the moment I entered the room and saw the washroom, I forgot the inconveniences.

The facilities provided in the hotel is highly competitive with 5 star accommodation. The complimentary breakfast and high tea is awesome. Customizations in breakfast is honored.

This hotel also provides free shuttle service to three places around Ubud central. Also, they provide a free mobile phone to call front desk if one is going out so that pick up can be requested.

Just one con - significant distance from Ubud central. Otherwise this is a clean 5/5 hotel.

Nice hotel in a quite and beautiful location

I like the traditional design of this hotel and the sound of the river under the hotel

In early morning when you open the balcona you could see the rice farm and people working there

You feel like you are part of that community and enjoy the real moment of Bali

Reception office is well design and you can find computer over there to do networking. The restaurant is good and provide nice breakfast

The location is little bit far of the city center but hotel provides bus shuttle per your request so I don't think location is a problem.

Retro, Serene and Quiet hotel

We stayed at this hotel in Ubud for 2 nights as a part of our 4 night stay in Bali. This hotel is about a good 90 minutes away from DPS airport and they do offer a pickup for 400k IDR (~$31 USD). We had booked a studio room and were pleasantly surprised with the overall room and the hotel. The hotel is very small and has a homely feel to it. It only has 11 rooms in the entire hotel (of which 3 are studio suites). The corner studio suite that we stayed in was perfect combination of privacy and comfort. We had a great 4 poster bed (with mosquito nets), classic old-school furniture and a combo tub-shower. This room faced the rice paddies and had a small but sufficient balcony to enjoy the view. The staff was super courteous and helpful and always seemed eager to assist in any way they could. Food was great (you have to pre-choose your breakfast amongst the 10 options provided and give them a time). This way they can have the breakfast ready for you when you arrive in the restaurant. Food was fresh and reasonably priced (actually cheaper than Ubud city center). We got Balinese massages and facials (great value and price) and overall our experience was top notch. Will love to go back and stay longer.

BEST hotel ever.. totally made our stay

My sister and I recently stated at the Junjungan Hotel & Spa and it was honestly the best part of our trip. We only stayed for a few days in Bali, but if we weren't at this hotel, then I don't know if we would have had as good of a time as we did. They picked us up from Kuta (small fee considering it takes 2 hours to get from Kuta to Ubud), and when we arrived they gave us watermelon juice and took our bags to the hotel room. Our room was AMAZING. We got a studio, and it was so spacious - the view of the rice paddies were unbelievable. Also, FREE BREAKFAST!

The best part of the stay was tea time! They have tea time every day from 3-6pm, where they give a free cake and free tea. From there, they have a shuttle that goes into town and give you a cellphone to call back to have them pick you up. We also took advantage of the tours - we went on the Sunset Tour where we got to go to a coffee plantation, art village, Tanah Lot, and another temple. The tour guy we had was Putra (spelling?) and he was awesome - so nice and so informative.

We also got a Balinese massage which was very relaxing (I recommend the herbal package)!

Everything was just so personal and I am so happy we got to stay here. I didn't get to meet Siwi, but she was awesome in corresponding with me with every question I had (as I was nervous about going to a new country for the first time).

Bottom line: STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! We will definitely be coming back & recommending to friends! Thank you to all the staff!!

A magical stay by the rice paddies!

My mother and I would sit out on our balcony at night to watch the fireflies dance over the rice paddies. The flashing lights were mesmerizing. It was so nice to be in the village of Junjungan with the countryside sround us. We went into the center of Ubud each day by free shuttle and enjoyed the ride there and back as lots to see. Rooms are large and very clean with fresh, crisp linen. The food at the restaurant was very tasty and well-priced. The staff were wonderful, especially the manager Siwi who assisted us each day in various ways. Thank you Siwi so much! Each room has a balcony facing the rice paddies. The pool is small but very clean and lovely. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others

Great hotel with the nice location

Very good hotel! It is located in the quite location right near the rice fields and you get great view from your balcony. Hotel provides free shuttle service so it is very convenient to get to the centre of the Ubud and back. Hotel restaurant is also very good and serves nice food not only for breakfast but also for the lunch and dinner. Overall we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Nice hotel removed from noise of town

I stayed at Junjungan Ubud hotel and spa for 4 nights. Was made to feel very comfortable by staff and services. Provided with free shuttle into Ubud and given a cell phone to contact hotel when I was ready to be picked up. Rooms are very clean, some furniture is dated but not to the point of affecting comfort. My queen bed was very comfortable. Lovely walks around village and rice fields. Hotel restaurant is limited but decent food at reasonable prices. I had good massages in their spa, again very reasonably priced for what I received. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for an out of the way stay.

Great Hotel with wonderful staff

We stayed two days in this hotel. Although the hotel is small, but they have wonderful staffs, kind, friendly, helpful and polite. The room is beautiful, spacious, facing beautiful Rice field , make us feel good all day. Breakfast and afternoon tea is delicious too. They also provide local mobile phone for you to call the shuttle car between the city and the hotel.(great value added). The only thing is that the room's light a bit dim, and too high bath robe for tower in toilet. Preferable to have one near the basin area. Overall this is an excellent and comfortable hotel and we definitely will come back again.

Amazing place to stay

Great Hotel- I can only recommend. From checkin till the end the service was perfect. The hotel is clean and tidy- the rooms great and they have worked everything out to offer a great customer experience. The hotel is outside of Ubud but they offer a great free driving service and therefor you are in a nice quite area...they even give you a hotel mobile phone so you an call them when you want to be picked up. They also have free afternoon tea with fantastic cakes....absolutely fantastic place.

My wife and I visit Ubud for our anniversary. We loved the hotel. The room was clean, big, and had amazing view to a rice field. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food in the hotel was good. We will recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to explore the cultural and romantic side of Bali. There is not much around in the neighborhood, but the hotel provide a free shuttle to/from downtown Ubud. Btw, there is only one restaurant very close to the hotel, but it is fantastic (Warung Bitangbali).

Nice hotel with excellent staff

Stayed for 4 nights with my wife. We booked a studio room that overlooked the rice fields to the back. It was an excellent retreat after exploring brilliant ubud. The hotel offered free shuttles to/from ubud which was handy. Lovely and quiet hotel, we were really glad to be set back from ubud as it gets quite busy during the day. Loved it.
