Stopover for us on way to south of France from Scotland. Used as a base to travel into Luxembourg which is a short drive away. Large and busy hotel - well appointed with huge restaurant and bar area and lots of staff. Room (I think it was called a spa suite) was one of the best we’ve stayed in as a family. Kids loved the “hidden” bedroom and bunk beds. So much space and lovely and clean.

Fitness centre in hotel excellent too and the new surf pool they’re building next to the gym will be a lot of fun I’m sure!

The restaurant offers good choice at breakfast and dinner. Food was generally quite good.

One positive was the manager who was able to help us with breakfast, otherwise, the entirety of our experience was not good. We booked this hotel because it had a pool and was located just off our driving route. When we checked in, we were told we had breakfast included - which we paid for - and the pool opening/closing times. We had dinner and came down to use the pool only to be told it is not actually included in our room rate. No where on hotels.com does it say the pool is extra. Even the hotel's website requires you to navigate through many layers to find this info. We are in the lobby, with 2 crying small children, being told we can use the pool for 2 hours and it will be 29€ for adults and 10€ per child. I have stayed at 100+ hotels in my life and never had a charge to use the pool (which it clearly shows as a feature of the hotel in all the pictures and lists it as an amenity on the hotel's list). Hotels.com gave us a $25 credit instead, which is a joke.
The room above us made noise all night so that was fun to sleep with. It is also a pet friendly hotel but we were told they had no pet free rooms so our room smelled of wet dog. In the morning we came down for breakfast only to find a limit of 2 breakfasts per room - we booked a triple room so not sure how that works. We could buy more breakfast at 29€ for adults and 9€ per child. The manager helped and we got breakfast but never staying with this brand again. Distrust hôtels.com descriptions now too. Unfortunate.

The hotel itself, it's staff, it's amenities are incredible (they even have a little shop downstairs where you can purchase, snacks, hot drinks, cold drinks, etc). Parking is a plenty. Our room was exquisite, spacious and looked incredible. Loved the coffee machine in the room and the aesthetic. Would definitely stay in a Van Der Ball hotel again. Price was also great.

Overall, nice hotel and enjoyed my four-night stay. Location wise, there’s not much in the immediate Arlon area to see/do/eat. However, this hotel is a great jumping off spot for visiting further surrounding sightseeing locations.
As for the hotel itself, there are three issues for the hotel to seriously consider for its new addition currently under construction.
1- Don’t put the toilet in a separate room from a sink. Having to walk from the toilet room and into the separate sink & shower room just to wash hands was tedious and poor design.
2- The hotel allows pets, and there were a lot (a lot) of dogs! If the hotel wishes to be pet friendly, it should remove the carpet from the guest rooms and go with hard flooring for cleanliness. And think about reserving a number of rooms that won’t allow dogs/cats for guests who have pet dander allergies.
3- Think about incorporating some green space on the property! As currently it’s just the hotel and a large gravel parking lot.

What a lovely relaxing hotel. The rooms are air conditioned and large, very well presented. Breakfast was fantastic, really good quality. Arrived too late to stay in the restaurant but it all looked lovely. Definitely stay here again.

Loved it! Would return for sure.

We loved it there. The hotel is beautiful, with very trendy, luxurious feeling decor in room and also all common areas. Service was great at both restaurant and lobby. The room was spacious and with a nice view through a huge glass wall. Important to notice, we were travelling with our 35 kilo dog (who is sometimes not treated nicely just cus she's big), and we felt welcome everywhere, including the restaurant. Lots of green areas outside so you can take your furry family member on a quick walkie.
The only thing: make sure you get the right address, the address on hotels.com takes you to a Quick restaurant nearby, around 10 min away.

The hotel is very new, therefore everything was clean, including the carpets! We were visiting family, so did not have a chance to try the cuisine. The hotel is far from public transport (bus, train, etc) but the desk had a chart with normal taxi fares We appreciated the modern design of the hotel. The Western side of the hotel has balconies. There is plenty of FREE parking.

Ideal stopover

Ideal stop off when travelling on the autoroute as it ticks all the boxes such as parking, all facilities on site. Although you can see the hotel as you exit the autoroute you have to continue to the next roundabout on the dual carrigeway to turn round to be able to enter the hotel. This is easy once you know about it!

Remarkable value.

A new hotel of remarkably good value. Good interior design - with very modern facilities. A degree in engineering is needed to know how to operate all the impressive kit at the breakfast buffet, but there were plenty of staff on hand to instruct. The buffet breakfasts were by far the best we have experienced in most of Europe. The catering generally was of a high standard. Well trained and very obliging staff with excellent language skills. Would highly recommend the Van der Valk - and we will be back.

This is a great business hotel close to the highway - Easy on/off. The hotel seems very new and room seemed sparse. It definitely still needs a desk for working. The hotel doesn't seem to be registered with google maps so had a small delay in finding the hotel. The restaurant was excellent with good food and service.

Brand New Hotel, Convenient for travelling

Van der Walk Hotels are quality four and five star business hotels. This one had only been open a few months so the decor was fresh, stylish and modern. The rooms and open areas are all first class and much to our taste.
We arrived on Valentines day and the hotel restaurant was fully booked with a five course special. The staff were great and we were fed in the bar. This was the only failure! My burger was very \"processed\" and not at all enjoyable. My wife had a Schnitzel which was Dry and also disappointing. Still the beer was good (this is Belgium after all!) and we had a great time.

Lovely new hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
It's very modern with interesting mood lighting, the hotel restaurant serves delicious food and whilst it's not cheap, I think it is decent value for money.

Rooms are lovely and are great value.

The one downside is that the hotel is a bit tricky to access from the road and can benefit from better signage and directions form the dual carriageway / motorway junction that it is located on.

The location makes it perfect for an overnight stay on a journey.

The hotel is in pre-opening period so minor issues are to be expected. Our rooms did not have the haird dryer and coffee makers, we were told that they would be provided soon. There are a few structural issues such as no electricity outlet at or around the desk. There was also no holder for the shower gels etc in the shower tub. But overall, it was a nice stay. Spacious rooms with large beds. Ample parking space and a nice restraurant. Just by the highway, esp. if you are driving.

I can understand that when you want to sleep a little longer the construction noise will wake you up.

Hotel is under construction and not ready to be opened.
Hotel is visible from highway but no indication where to access, it took us more than half an hour to find the entry.
When we used the shower the bathroom was flooded.
There was no hair dryer in the room, saw dust in the closet an noise from construction.

Großer, kostenloser Parkplatz vorm Hotel. Sehr schönes und modernes Hotel. Der Check In war super simpel und lief reibungslos ab. Nettes und Zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir haben ein kostenlosen Zimmer Upgrade bekommen. Vom Classic Doppelzimmer zum Deluxe Doppelzimmer. Das Zimmer war schön und modern eingerichtet. Es war groß, geräumig und sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet haben wir nicht genutzt. Mit dem Abendessen waren wir für den hohen Preis nicht so zufrieden. Vom Wellnessbereich waren wir begeistert. 25€ pro Person für zwei Übernachtungen, das haben wir gerne gezahlt. Die vier Saunen sind Top und der Pool reicht aus. Im Wellnessbereich ist es schön ruhig und sauber, perfekt zum entspannen. Auch der Check Out lief reibungslos und schnell ab. Es ist eher ein Hotel für einen Zwischenstopp. Wir haben 2 Nächte dort verbracht um Luxemburg zu erkunden. Wir sind sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. :)

Het uitzicht vanuit de penthouse suite is prachtig en het bad is heerlijk. Helaas rechtvaardigt de prijs niet de kwaliteit vergeleken met andere Van der Valk-hotels waar we verbleven. Meubilair was duidelijk versleten, de airco koelde onvoldoende en enkele geadverteerde voorzieningen ontbraken.

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits au sein de cet hôtel à l’occasion de notre anniversaire mon mari et moi. Le personnel de l’hôtel nous a comblé de petites attentions (upgrade, décorations romantique de la chambre, verre de bienvenue) cela nous a vraiment touché et à contribuer à rendre ce jour unique. - Slechte airconditioning op de kamer
- Slechte ventilatie in de badkamer en de wc-ruimte
- Weinig verlichting in de wc-ruimte
- Erg zachte matrassen op de bedden
- Maar twee liften in het hotel, dus je staat geregeld enkele minuten te wachten voordat je aan de beurt bent
- Bediening in het restaurant leek erg onervaren en had moeite met het communiceren in het Engels

Voordelen:
- Erg goed eten
- Shop in het hotel
- Veel parkeergelegenheid
- Veel laad mogelijkheden voor elektrische auto’s
- Wellness centrum aan het hotel

Ik heb meerdere dagen in het hotel gespendeerd en ik had een beter hotel verwacht voor de prijs en de Van der Valk keten.

Minder goed: douche mag opgeknapt worden (bruine/oranje plekken vloer).
Minder goed: uitleg over opladen auto. De algemene oplaadpunten (dus niet die voor Tesla) zijn te weinig en ze deden het niet. Je kon dan wel bij Tesla gaan opladen, maar dat kon niet met een Shell kaart.

25e de supplement par personne pour 2h au spa. Quand on y passe la nuit, on apprecie dy aller le jour de l arrivee et le lendemain, mais payer a chaque fois. Sachant quon ne reste pas 2 heures, surtoutt quand on a un enfant ! Sur ca, ils devraient s adapter aux autres hotels, ca nous a decu..super petit dejeuner

client fidele depuis des annes, suite wellness, magnifique avec Jacuzzi et Sauna, Sauna ne marche pas malgre ma demande de le chauffe avant check in. tout l’apres midi a faire marche pas possible uniquement vers 22h du soir une fille une filles tres gontil, a reussi apres avoir passer presque une heure. et puis le matin le sauna chauffe plus, decu pour le Sauna et possibilité de le mettre en route. meme un geste commercial.

Bien dommage que l'hôtel ne propose pas cette piscine au client de l'hôtel qui est le plus ont réservé au restaurant. Économie de bouts de chandelles.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt hier. Leider ist um das Hotel noch viel Baustelle, da das Hotel erweitert wird. Hierdurch wird die Sicht etwas eingeschränkt und man schaut auf die Baustelle. Ansonsten ist das Essen sowie Frühstück hervorragend und der Wellnessbereich (trotz leider noch extra Kosten) wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!

La gâchette des WC qui ne fonctionne pas. Plusieurs chaînes TV qui s’accadent ou fonctionnent pas. Serveuse moyennement sympathique, se trompe et ne connaît pas les vins servis. Nous aimons bien nous arrêter à cet hôtel mais cette année, une petite touche de déception.

Dit keer hadden we een kamer met een storende tabaksgeur en daarenboven lag er as en peuken op het balkon en op de reling hiervan. Vriendelijk gevraagd dit op te lossen, wat ook in de minne werd opgepoetst. De sigarettenstank kwam wel steeds terug en bleef ons 3 nachten ginderen. Vermoedelijk zat die al in het vasttapijt. De laatste dag lag weer assen op ons balkon. Die kwam dan misschien van de kamer met balkon boven ons ? Voor de rest ales in orde zoals altijd. (maar lekkere frietjes bakken kan de keuken niet, maar dit is een peulschil. :)
