Rooms were very clean, adequately furnished and equipped with microwave, coffee maker & fridge. Staff was friendly and easy to deal with. Breakfast was typical of a budget hotel with a variety of cereals breads, bagels with marmalade, jams, peanut butter, cold juices and yogurts. Hot buffet was fresh but I have to say unappealing to look at, eggs and what appeared to be sausage. Overall, the Breakfast was adequate to start the day and the stay was comfortable.

Our room was lovely and looked very clean. The staff were very nice, and seems like young hockey teams use this hotel often as there are "no mini sticks" signs in the hallways! The night was quiet and relaxing for the most part. A great hotel for the price point as others in the area are pretty run down.

Property was fine with limited extras, which was fine for me. No pool / hot tub, no dining.

Of the two vending machines, one did not work. Parking spots are quite tight for large cars / trucks and filled up quickly.

There was a hockey team(s) there Friday night which was quite loud - nothing to do with the hotel as parents should have been reigning their kids in will before 2300; but kids will be kids.

The TV / satellite kept cutting in and out, snow / wind? I did not really care because I was not in the room much except to sleep but could be frustrating for others.

Free breakfast was fine for me. Room was clean and well stocked.

very disappointing experience with your site reps, hotel staff @ this comfort inn, I was stuck in Owen Sound due to the snow storm and my wife booked this reservation but less than one hour of its booking she was told by hotel staff there's no parking space available for my truck size and bad road conditions going up to the hotel, she asked if she can cancel but they said she needs to contact Expedia, and after she did, the hotel declined the refund. This is very disappointing how your establishment is taking advantage of this is opportunity and poor customer svc. You need to learn from your neighboring hotel Best Western on 2nd Ave. they went above and beyond to not only finding me a secure parking space
( because of the load on the truck) also providing me power supply for the overnight temperature. I travel a lot for work and pleasure, but I will no longer stay at your establishment and I'm very disappointed in Expedia for their poor customer service.

We didn’t even stay there in the end. At check in- no parking as promised. Multiple hockey teams staying there and our room was right smack dab in middle of loud people on either side. The front desk staff thought it was hilarious. At $250 a once taxes anf fees were added, for lack-luster room, I didn’t think it was funny. No parking anywhere near the place when we needed to actually sleep there so we just left Owen Sound. Pro tip. Put people that are NOT part of the mass number of hockey players and families AWAY from them. And make sure that if you advertise parking that there is parking. I would argue you broke a contract and you owe us our money back. The room itself was not a $200 room. More like a $100 room. I am livid about the experience and how it ruined our whole weekend. Our advice- stay away from this place at all costs.

On the pricier side for an old building in my opinion. Sub par continental breakfast. $250 cash deposit needed because I didn’t have my physical credit card with me but I had paid in full through Expedia a few days prior to check in. Was told on the phone that the room needed to be checked before getting deposit back, and the same lady I spoke with on the phone checked me out and didn’t look at the room.. interesting. Staff was nice and room was quiet for a Thursday night. Would probably stay here again if I had no other options but would not be a first pick due to lack of amenities.

The room was incredibly hot even with heat shut off. Opened patio door in -20 weather. Then to top it off an outdoor light was broken and flashing yellow in the windows all night. Staff says electrician didn't show up to fix it and they couldnt fix it. Had no other rooms to offer. I stay in the area 5 times a year minimum will not be back. Staff disregarded the whole thing

The exterior of the hotel was under renovation so the window in my room was completely covered with the grey film. The interior needs updating just as much as the outside. Old carpet in hallways and in the room. Ancient/gross sofa in room. Bathroom was clean though and the bed was clean and comfy.

From the very first step into my unit, I could smell the unit moldy, and the couch and the chair were dirty. Absolutely no control over the noise from adjacent units.

The only downside was an older heater/ air conditioner that was hard to read anf noisy. We just turned it off during ouvisit. Still a very nice hotel.+Also terible taxi service in the city which is not the fault of the hotel. But why wait 1.5 hours for a ten minute walk?

The Toilet had lost its seal and giving odour in the bathroom when we first entered the toilet and the first time we used it the toilet got plugged. I called reception and he gave me a plunger to unclog the block myself. I asked for maintenance team and was told not available until Tuesday. Requested for a change of room and was told all rooms were booked. So I spent the night unclogging the block myself. Then I had to ask for toiletries to get them and frankly after all this when I saw the towel kept folded inside the toilet I was like.. yeah no thanks. I will use my own towel.

Had problem with room door locking. Manager came to fix with a screwdriver. But quickly realized it was not possible. I asked for another room and first was told they were full. But after 5 min they gave me a new room. Appreciated the effort however they should have offered another room as I asked for immediately as obviously one was available. Staff was polite from the front desk to cleaning staff. The price for this hotel was overpriced. Others in the area are $30 to $50 less.

When we turned on the air conditioner, it smelt like moldy wet towel. Had to shut it off immediately. The bathroom also had some mold in it on the top of wall. The bed was comfortable, but the smell was too much.

The hotel does not have an elevator. This is inconvenient to rooms on the second floor. The hotel does not have a common rest room on the first floor either. Many restaurants, shops are near by, some are within walking distance. This is very convenient to hotel residents.

Key fob for our room would not work . 3 days we were there . Kept saying it was our phone that was demagnetized the fob . The maintenance man finally showed up as we were packing to leave 1 hour before we left . He used 2 of his master fobs on his key chain , they didn’t work . Then he used his master steel key would not open the room door . They then realized we were right and the whole door handle was to be removed and a new handle with fob unit installed. Had to order door handle unit . Was very annoying every time we left our room we ended up at the front desk for a new fob . Eventually the new fobs would not work on our room , but we were leaving , thank goodness . Should have given us a new room . Was not happy, just had surgery on my knee .

The staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms are dated. I would even question even whether the door was firesafe as i could see light from the outside hallway around the frame. Not just the floor level..the sheets were pilling and scratchy. They appeared clean but the pilling made sleeping uncomfortable. Also noted that the property would be difficult for those with mobility issues

Staff is incredibly kind and welcoming :) our room was quite large, accessible and comfortable! Unfortunately the couch had an ominous stain on it, the room smelt of body odour and the bed did have random hairs throughout. The rest of the facilities seemed really clean and had everything you needed.

HOWEVER - if you like to watch your own streaming platforms - you will be out of luck. TV's have a prime and netflix app, however, the TVs CANNOT connect to the internet. When i inquired, i was told that guests would forget to sign off, so their fix was to restrict the TVs from connecting to the internet. what a TERRIBLE solution. we bought a roku stick, but still had to connect that to a hotspot from one of our devices.
Its 2025 - i know theres a better solution that what the Comfort Inn has landed on.

We booked at this location, hoping to have access to EV charging, seeing there are two charging stations out front. Unfortunately, we needed a J-1772 charger for our Volt, the available chargers only support CCS and ChaDeMo. We would have been happy with our L1 charger, but all the 110v receptacles on the property were not working and so we had no access to charging. Very disappointed!
Otherwise the hotel was clean, beds were comfortable and air conditioning in good working order. Personnel were friendly and helpful.

Our room upon entry we noticed it was very damp. We found a wall that was wet from a water leak. There was mold on the walls, damaged srywall and the carpet was partially torn up. I spoke with staff who was aware of the room condition but put us there anyway. They did give us another room however it only had 1 bed instead of 2 and 1 person had to sleep on a pull out couch.
