The hotel was under construction with no notice to us before booking. We were not able to use the z, hot tub, no blow dryer, and bagged breakfast. My son was there for hockey try outs and were intentionally booking somewhere for the hot tub and a good breakfast.

Im writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent stay, which resulted in a highly disappointing and disrupted experience for my family.
I had specifically booked a room at this location for a night away with my children, as well as to meet friends. A key reason for choosing your property was the advertised amenities, including a pool, exercise room, and breakfast. Unfortunately, upon arrival after a three-hour drive, we encountered multiple serious issues that were not acceptable for a paying guest.
To begin with, the hotel was extremely difficult to locate due to unclear signage, which initially directed us to an unrelated location. Upon finally arriving, we discovered that the hotel was under construction. The interior was filled with a visible cloud of drywall dust and a strong musty odor, creating an uncomfortable and concerning environment. At check-in, we were informed that the pool and exercise room were both closed, and that breakfast would not be provided as expected but instead offered in a bag. These were key amenities that directly influenced my booking decision and their unavailability was not communicated in advance. When we entered our room, the issues continued. The bathroom door would not close, and both my son and I began to feel unwell, likely due to the poor air quality caused by the construction dust. At that point, it became clear that the conditions were not suitable for us to stay, and my children expressed that they did not feel comforta

We were never told that the hotel was under construction so the pool and hot tub were not useable as the construction supplies were stored in the pool area. The area for breakfast was sealed off and under construction so there was no “breakfast included” as advertised. Overall, we were very disappointed. Had we of known any of this we would have stayed elsewhere.

Despite Expedia advertising that the pool, hot tub, and dining room were open, we found out on arrival that all were closed due to renovations. The vending machine was also out of order.

Worse, the strong paint fumes permeated the entire hotel, including the room. In -14°C we slept with the heat off and windows open to try and minimize the toxic smell.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, despite working / breathing in paint fumes. They provided us with a brown bag breakfast in lieu of a continental breakfast.

It would have been extremely helpful if Expedia / Quality Inn had advised us of the current conditions in advance.

I am really disgutted on my stay and I am blaming Hotel.com and the hotel Quality Inn. No mention on web site there was no pool , no WIFI . One receptionnist said WIFI is OK the other one said not working for 3 days. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom I had to call the reception.
No glass in the room. How can you advertise on your site without warning people of these problems. You should refund your customer for force Quality Inn to give a credit .

The Hotel was partially under construction, which is fine but they were not able to keep an acceptable level of service during this and should have been closed. Many of the advertised facilities were closed like the fitness center, sauna, conference room, elevator and lobby washroom facilities. The pool area was absolutely disgusting with black mold and green algae growing throughout the area. The entire building was dirty and clearly neglected maintenance for many years. The rooms were in terrible shape, our original room had the smoke alarm and heat detectors taped over. We were moved to a different room only to find that all heat detectors were taped over in the hallway of the entire first floor. They staff were very rude to us throughout the entire stay. When we asked for clean towels we were given bath mats and told that was all they had available. The breakfast was terrible. The food that was there was limited and dry foods were stale.

They have additional security in the evenings into the night and you are essentially expected to stay in your room with the door closed since there are no other rooms you can congregate in. It felt like an asylum or a prison. I’m not typically one to complain but this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever encountered.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If anything local Fire Prevention officer should be notified of how this property is operating.

The staff were amazing I would have to say. The bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good with lots of room to sit down in and lots to choose from. I didn’t know the hotel was under construction when I booked. There was no coffee machine in our room, there was a fan in our bathroom but it didn’t come on, there was no ice machine in the section we were in, the pool was old and wasn’t very warm and the hot tub was cold and that was one of the reasons I booked here. Apparently they are turning into a Hilton so I wouldn’t go back until everything was switched over. Would I recommend this hotel. Not at the moment.

The hotel was fool blown construction site. The drilling started at 8:45 in the morning and lasted all day. It was hard to have breakfast in the dining room because of the drilling noise. Dirty corridor and stairs, open sealing, wires out. Lot's of construction workers going around. I am working early mornings an was hoping to relax and sleep on my holidays. This was not possible..
I would like to have a refund for the 3 night stay

The front desk staff and dining room personnel were friendly. We were there 5 days/4 nighs and not once was our room serviced. The heater in the room had one setting regardless of the temperature you wanted. It was full blast heat only. We had to shut the heat off to sleep and would wake up in a freezing cold room. We stayed there because of the indoor swimming pool which was cold. Too cold even for eager grandchildren. Last yearthe hotel was a dirty mess with lots of assurance that it would be great soon. One year later, worse than before. In fact, being retirees who had to schlep our luggage up staircases as theres no elevator was the least of our disappointments. I was told the \"scrambled eggs\" were fresh real eggs. I call b.s...the eggs were like eating yellow tasteless wet sponge. Nasty. The breakfast was the same daily which meant I didn't bother after the first plate of nastiness. There was an unidentifiable object in the hallways outside the door of our floor. It could have been a petrified hotdog or something but it was there the whole time. I recommend staying somewhere else the pool was the attraction but it's not worth it. It should be called Low Quality motel. Don't stay there.....it's not even a 1 star quality.

The premises are under construction and we were given a basement room, which could only be accessed via a stairwell that was filthy and under repair. It was pretty grim looking. We also could hear drilling all through the day. Not exactly a relaxing stay. To top it off, we were charged $60 to have our pup stay, which was ridiculous given the state of the place — there was minimal cleaning being done. Additionally, the sliding door in the room took two people to open. My sister had a rough room, which was much nicer and renovated, on the top floor of the hotel, for the same cost. Honestly, it was just insulting to have to pay the same price to stay in a noisy, dirty basement room.

Several windows boarded up upon arrival, not a good look. There were no rooms on the main level and no elevator. The entire main level was undergoing renovation. The ceiling was dripping, buckets were in the middle of the hallway leading from front entrance toward where rooms were. The breakers were going off so food was cold and had to be re-heated in the microwave. Same breakfast every morning. Dining area cool and required space heater. The only thing that good was my room was clean but there was no table to sit at (only chairs), no coffee pot, mug or coffee in rooms, the phone was not attached to a jack, and the good thing was that the staff were friendly and the construction workers helped carry my bags upstairs. On day 2 of my 4 night stay, I was locked out of my room and had to go back to the main desk with all my bags to get a new swipe key. It seemed safe despite appearances.

They are doing renovations and the Indian people are living in there, cooking in there, and working till 10 pm. I've traveled all over the world and this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Unfortunately for staff 2 hockey teams from Beverly Bandits -u13 &u11 were also staying there. The parents stood in hallway drinking alcohol and setting up ironing boards with food on them blocking hall and being very loud. Staff tried to quiet them but security was physically pushed and verbally abused. After that staff rarely responded to our concerns and hockey teams continued for 2 nights well after midnight. Saw/ heard several incidents that were disturbing from them parents involving children/ parenting skills. Staff should have involved local police to help resolve this behaviour.

Hotel was hard to find as it wasn't marked with any signage visible from the road. Property is under much needed renovation and from the road just looked like an old hotel possibly being used to home the homeless. There should have been at least a temporary cloth banner of some sort etc. Also, no signage upon entering the hotel to mention please excuse the mess as we renovating to serve you better. Upon walking in late at night the gentleman behind the desk did not even look up at us much less greet us. Bed, couch and nightstand need to be moved to clean, it was disgusting. Decent area.

Construction going on all over ...paid for 2 queen beds and got 2 double beds in a smelly corridoor with a room that had a light not working and exhaust in the nathroom not working
The whole hotel had a damp smell. We reached after 5 pm and the checkin was after 3 pm and yet we were told room is not ready and our room will be switched...little did we know we have been given a downgrade without refund. AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOU CAN..

Excellent property. Just 1 drawback. We stayed for 2 night but the breakfast was over way before the timing. Breakfast time is 6:30-10am. We went at 8:30 for the first time and it was crowded beyond imagination. Next day, we went at 9am and the breakfast was finished. They didn't refill it. We literally came out with a cup of coffee. The management should take care that when they say breakfast is until 10, at least they should have everything in place till 9:30 minimum

This hotel needs a lot of help. Very outdated and lots of dirt and stains in hallways, bathroom, bedroom etc.
Our bathtub had water leaking from spout which would not stop.
The lady at the front counter, Jenn, was very friendly and helpful. However the lady that works the breakfast area was very grumpy and snapped at people if they did not know how to work something. She did not seem happy with her position.
The beds were comfortable, but sheets were stained.
No, we would not stay here again.

Front Desk Made me Pay for another persons room ..

The front desk made a significant error and requested a credit card to cover the room charge. Insisting my card was declining and that I had not paid. I advised them that Hotels.com had pulled the funds on Sep 16 and the room was paid. They insisted I was wrong and that I had to contact Hotels.com to find the payment and so in order to check in they pulled another payment! I later found out that the check in person, pulled the wrong booking up and that is why I was 'declined'. They had the wrong customer profile all along. It was a horrible experience.

Check-in was great and front desk personnel very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was also convenient and good. Hotel facilities are quite dated but hotel was quiet at night and appreciated fridge and microwave in room. Location is very poor. No restaurant in hotel (except for breakfast) and no restaurants close by. Have to drive everywhere. Construction on road outside hotel was difficult to navigate and slowed traffic considerably because only one way in and out of hotel. Would have been helpful if hotel had advised of this at time of booking because it ended up taking several attempts to find a way into the hotel when we arrived.

It was bad experience ever. We booked the room with a king size bed, and when we got there, the room hadn’t been cleaned at all and was a total mess. The reception told there was only one room with king size bed and the cleaning staff had already left, so she couldn’t do anything. At the end moved us to a room with two separate beds. but the sheets and blankets still not clean.

My recent experience as a single mom with two kids was challenging to say the least. There is no elevator in the hotel,which isnt a deal breaker,but with two kids under 5 it was a sweatier experience. I have stayed at other hotels that are pet friendly and never experienced dog hair in a room like I did during this stay. My children have terrible allergies to animals and there was so much dog hair. The cleaning staff did try to clean the couch in the room for us,but it was all over the bed spread too and we ended up having to move rooms. The third floor is free of animal hair. Matthew at the front desk was absolutely amazing. He definitely goes above and beyond for the hotel. He quickly made a room change for us among balancing the very large sports groups that were staying at the hotel and our stay ended on a positive note. The breakfast staff worked very hard at keeping up with all of the growing teenagers that were staying at the hotel. If you have allergies,be sure to request a pet free room during your stay.

The bathroom was nicely redone. The room was not cleaned…smudges and sticky in the table, and a child’s book left behind. Two dirty old conference chairs instead of a table or chair option in the room. Needs a faster overhaul, not slow mo reno. A large flashlight was used to light the breakfast buffet…just not what I expected for almost $300 a night. Renovate, then put your rooms out for use. Also, no washroom in lobby and staff who are slow/ambivalent.
