Reception was great, Mari was super kind and helpful and got us set right away. The unit itself was big and well appointed. Kitchenette had everything we needed, including salt & pepper! Easy walk to town and we had one of our best dinners at The Smoking Barrel in town. We used this as our base to hike in Abel Tasman and it was the right choice. We could hear some noise from the unit beside us, but nothing that really bothered us.

For such a large complex, it is very close to town but off the beaten track so still quiet. Variety of units,etc for choice depending on circumstances..Variety of on site activities, and usually local/semi-local staff who know the area. Our unit, although compact, warm and clean. Close to Abel Tasman. Clean and small kitchen cabin. Didn't have a French press to make coffee, so thankful we brought our own. Great playground and jumping pillow for our kids. Grills were clean and we love the family bathroom. It makes getting cleaned up quicker. Would stay again!

Decent hotel. Good price. Good location to Abel Tasman (and only 45-60 minutes to Nelson). However, be aware that housekeeping will completely shut off the single radiant heater during the day (there is no space heater); during the winter, this means that due to low insulation, the temperature will be quite cool inside and you might want to leave your jacket on for a few hours.

This Top Ten has excellent communal spaces for cooking, eating and dining, as well as clean and spacious bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities. This would have been a lovely stay if not for unpleasant interaction with staff regarding wifi access. We had a large party and later on in our stay one of our group was in the office and heard the staff talking about the incident and saying we were lying and ripped them off. It was very unprofessional of the staff to be gossiping about guests in such a way.

Gaelene at the front desk is EXTREMELY RUDE! Wow. Outside of her, for a holiday park this place is great. Myself and my girlfriend are from the states and have stayed in a handful of Holiday Parks -- this one was by far the cleanest, in a great neighborhood. Clean shared bathroom facilities and a great kitchen with utilities. Would recommend!

This place really was top for us. Great cabin & facilities, Lovely fun pool with slide and climbing wall, huge jump pillow, friendly staff, well maintained facilities. Campsite spacious too.

More of a holiday park than motel. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Good shower. Sound insulation however was poor to the point we could hear every word ( and snore) from room next to us . For this reason and for this reason alone probably would not stay again but would recommend if in camper van. Staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. Not worth money- Nothing for a hefty price.
For S110 you will have junky bunk bed, no toilet, no shower, no towels, noisy and crouded environment. Facilities are outside a mile away and they are campground style... This place may worth $25, but certainly not $110 a night. We are very unhappy and dissatisfied.

Opened in December 2008, these accommodations provide a relaxing retreat with stunning vistas of the mountains, Riwaka Valley, and Tasman Bay.
Each chalet features a private deck, perfect for enjoying the natural beauty surrounding you. Modern amenities include air conditioning, double glazing, and electric blankets for cozy nights, while fresh breezes and ceiling fans keep you cool during the day.
Inside, you'll find a queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, and a 32-inch LCD TV. A double sofa bed can accommodate two additional guests.
All linen, crockery, and utensils are provided. Guests can also enjoy a shared BBQ area with two gas grills and a large table.
A guest laundry is available free of charge, and one chalet offers disabled access. While the chalets are non-smoking, each private deck has a table and chairs for smoking outdoors.
To reach us from Nelson, take the coastal highway through Mapua and Tasman to Motueka (approximately 30 minutes). Continue through Motueka and Riwaka.
Just before the Riwaka Hotel, turn onto Dehra Doon Road and proceed 1. 3 km to the 'Terraced Gardens' sign.
Turn in and follow the driveway up the hill to the office.
