Great place to stay, reasonably priced and in a great location for accessing Abel Tasman Park and all the things you can do there plus the towns of Motueka (5 minutes), Mapua etc. As for the lodge, we really enjoyed the communal feel and chatting with people from all over the world. The breakfast was excellent and included their own eggs, fruit, and freshly made scones and muffins.

The room was clean, the breakfast muffins were delicious. I also took advantage of the free eggs from the owners’ chickens. The gardens were beautiful, tranquil and had plenty of seating areas. It’s an easy drive to the Abel Tasman trail and Motueka (where we went most evenings for dinner). This place is very comfortable and the owners make you feel at home. You can also pretty much see the Milky Way on a dark night. Walls are a bit thin and breakfast in the mornings are busy. It has a quirky charm.

Eden's Edge Lodge is an excellent choice for exploring the Tasman area, Kaiteriteri beach, etc. It is part of a small orchard/farm, so sources its own fruit, herbs, and eggs for breakfast. Very pleasant and relaxing, yet only a five-minute drive from Matueka for restaurants and shopping.

Very cute property with amazing views, very generous breakfast and cooking appliances, comfortable beds, and fresh fruit and pastries. The hosts are very kind and so are their cats. The wifi is good. Only downside was finding cockroaches in the food area and the room, but it's also a pretty nature-y place so maybe it's to be expected? That didn't take away from our experience but it's definitely something you can expect!

The communal facilities were fantastic. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook with. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We lost our key when we went out for dinner and we had to disturb them around 10 pm. They did not fuss about it and just requested we have a good look for the keys. I would absolutely recommend this place if you want beautiful surroundings in a communal type environment. And this place is very close to the Abel Tasman boat shuttles (10 min by car).

We liked our stay. Friendly owner operators great continental breakfast. Everything was great . Except cold showers . I asked was told people are using too much of the hot water. Tried 2 hours later still cold. I would suggest switching to a water on demand system this would solve the issue . Overall nice place.

We stayed one night while cycling The Great Taste Trail. Everything was superb from the warm welcome to check out: real coffee and A2 milk; fruit from the onsite orchard; breakfast eggs from the chickens; local bread and baked goods; home-made jams; lovely en-suite King room with Forest & Bird toiletries - the list goes on and on! Barbara and Eric are exemplary hosts, combining warmth with knowing how to allow space and privacy. We are locals who do not usually stay so close to home but we hope to shout ourselves another visit for R&R soon.

Eden's Edge Lodge was a blissful and peaceful place to stay as well as sit & relax on the deck in the afternoon. So much greenery & such magnificent herb shrubs growing around the place. The eggs, breads, honey & home made jams were also delish. We had 2 king size bedrooms which were very clean, spacious and included all the facilities required. Absolutely loved it.

Amazing Welcoming Eco Lodge
We absolutely loved our stay here. It is a family business, and you can tell they go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Highly eco-friendly, and they even let guests use the fresh herbs from the garden to cook in the morning. Highly recommend for anyone who wants an authentic welcoming Kiwi experience. Fun place to crash when visiting Abel Tasman
We enjoyed our stay here for several nights. The owners are both very friendly. Breakfast at the communal area could get a little crowded when everyone was trying to prepare meals at once, but it was certainly manageable. Lots of outdoor space to sit and eat too. Lovely garden area to use for cooking. Chickens gave us eggs in the morning - lovely touch. The game room was a pleasant surprise with lots to choose from, including an arcade with a bazillion old favorites. The rooms were comfortable, though there was only liquid soap (no shampoo, BYO sponge). Water got cold if multiple rooms using at same time. No room service for the three days we stayed. Have to ask to exchange towels, which was easy enough. Ordered the cheese platter which was a bargain for $20.
