This hotel is what you can expect for the price you pay. The room is clean. The bedding is clean and the bed is comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. The room is not large and this is not a resort, but if your main objective is to sleep and then get an early start, this hotel will meet your needs.

I booked a king bed & paid extra, it was a a full or queen. There is NO secondary locks on the inside of the room. As a single woman I did not feel safe & brought it up and asked to cancel. The manager seemed agitated by it & blew it off. I will not ever go back.

The manager was polite and helpful. This is a check in at the window situation. It was quick and easy. Don’t expect to go in the lobby. I think they have got it right. They are good people. The property was very well lit. It was a quick choice to stay there after other accommodations fell through. It was a good decision. I was able to spend more on entertainment rather than being poor due to paying 3 times as much for the room. I will be staying there on future trips. Clean, safe ,needs repairs. If your own home is perfect feel free to give it a pass. They don’t need the criticism.

I chose this hotel because it appeared to be a quaint friendly little place in a relatively safe area. The front desk person was not pleasant to interact with and at no point did we have access to the front lobby to check in during regular check in hours. The room smelled musty and appliances were covered in dust. In addition, the tv did not work and more alarming, we could not locked the deadbolt despite multiple attempts so we had to place a chair in front on the door for some feeling of security.

The property was dirty and smelled terrible. All that was available in the bathroom was a quarter roll of toilet paper and unusable soap. The office people were judgmental and rude. I wont be vositing this hotel again.

With a low rate but some OK reviews, this place fell short of expectations. The WiFi only worked if you stood outside the office but my room was directly opposite so no go. The bed was lumpy like an old mattress and the towels were scratchy with a low grade industrial quality to them. I’d spend double to get a good nights sleep in comfort.

Front desk staff was rude. The hotels.com site for Oyo clearly states that the pets charge is a certain price. The front desk attempted to charge me a higher price. I tried to show them the listing on Hotels.com, and they refused to even look. They said it’s been at (that higher) surcharge rate for over a year. They’ve been negligent in updating that on Expedia & Hotels.com then.

Rude & unreasonable demeanor from front desk staff. Unwilling to compromise or even look at my booking. Will not stay here again.

I don’t like getting scammed. They want a $50 deposit, so they charge $55, then give you $50 back. This is just shady and bad business.

If you need to charge more, fine.

Man said it was for the 3.75% surcharge. This isn’t $5, especially of they weren’t charged anything.

Woman says they just charge everyone $5 additional.

They clearly do not understand American economics and feel that they can rip everyone off $5 every night.

Do not activate your Apple Pay or Google then hand your phone through the window without seeing the charge first.

Do not sign the receipt. This is never necessary.

They do this after charging the wrong amount to show you approved it. Definitely don’t use your credit card, since they can keep this on file (can’t do this with Apple Pay)

Checked in and checked the rubber gasket around the refrigerator it was nasty and gross. The microwave did not work no hot water in the sink and come to find out in the shower as well A lot of the electrical out let’s did not work. When you shut of the bathroom light the plug didn’t work do my boyfriend was without oxygen all night. I had to keep a chair under the door handle because the I felt unsafe with the condition of the lock. Was going 2 stay 2 nights but after all this decided to leave and wanted a refund and all hell broke loose with the owner because she did not like what I had to say about the room. Finally got half my money back. I always strip my beds before I leave and put the sheets in the tub with the towels and the owner came into the room to check the water and microwave and all hell broke loose again because she started screaming at me for stripping the bed she got pretty aggressive I had to make a bee line for my vehicle because I didn’t know what she was going to do next as angry and mean as she was. Will never stay there again and the area was pretty sketchy

Well, I recognized this property as an older chain property. When I saw the photos, I decided we should give it a try. My sister and I were so glad we did! This has gone from an old run-of-the-mill property to amazing! Beautiful on the inside and outside, so clean you can eat off the parking lot! Inside, you can walk around in white socks without knowing you went shoeless! The staff was efficient and polite, but we loved the woman who checked us in and out, she was not only efficient and knowledgable, she was fun!

While on a cross-country trip, without a reservation for the night, I stopped in Liberal, KS. After reviewing some larger national brand accommodations I stumbled across Hotel OYO for half to a third of the price of the others. It looked very clean on the outside and was in a convenient location for eating options. I decided to give them a try. Check-in was smooth and my room was immaculate with TV, refrig and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. To be fair, this is an older property. But it's very apparent the owners take a lot of pride in their motel and keep things clean and in working order. It may not be fancy and there is no complimentary breakfast, but I had money left over for breakfast (and dinner for that matter) with the great price. Hotel OYO was the best value I've seen in years! I will stay here again when passing through.

You get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a budget friendly overnight. It’s fine. Room is decent. Bed is stiff. Walls have paint cracking everywhere due to being painted over who knows how many times. Small old out dated bathroom. Ac/heat works but is super loud. But it allows you to drown out the city noises at night. Would I stay again. Probably. If I was alone sure. Not with a family. Owners were pleasant but the place inside needs an update. The photos are deceiving

Manager will steal your deposit

The manager accused me of smoking - I did not smoke in or near my room at any time. Manager admitted to going through my things while i was gone and said he found no evidence, but stood by his accusations. He brought another guest into my room to check - the man said there was no sign of smoke. Manager refused to return my deposit.

The bedspread was dusty. The bath mat in the bathroom looked filthy. The 'heater' was barely functional and barely able to keep up. the microwave was broken, and required a patient jiggling of the door switch to allow the unit to operate, and it was too weak to heat up water.

Shower worked but you have to find the middle or its too cold or scalding hot to burn you. Oyo not good at least for this crappy property. Very old.

Upon checking in, the woman at the desk was upset with me that I booked online instead of at the motel. Also she said that there was a $50 deposit due , cash or credit card. That the fee would be reversed upon check-out. I gave her my credit card for the deposit. She was not in the office at check-out, a man was. When I checked my credit card that morning, there was a $2 fee for using my card. That was not stated anywhere not did she mention it. It's only $2, but she should have told me, beings that she was so mouthy....

The owner of this hotel will try to steal your deposit. We could tell from google reviews this was likely so we paid a $60 cash deposit refusing to use our card for a deposit. They accused us of smoking in the room which we did not do. I demanded my deposit and would not budge. They repeatedely lied threatened to call the police, even picked up the phone and pretended to call them. Then gave me my deposit. I was ready to file a complaint if the police needed to be involved. The beds where hard the place is dirty and old as one would expect from a cheap hotel.

I travel often & my expectations of small town, inexpensive motels are objectively reasonable, but this motel is significantly below standard. OYO Hotel Liberal, Kansas, implements policies that violate the ADA -staff interrogated & asked about disability. There’s a folder behind desk that states you can only have 1 service dog & sign states “Picture ID will be required for Service dog” I tried to take a photo, they quickly took it away & said it’s in the reservation- it’s not. Pursuant to ADA, staff can only ask if the dog is a service dog required bc of disability & what task the dog has been trained to perform, NOT allowed to ask what the disability is. People w/ disabilities are allowed more than 1 service animal to perform different tasks. DOJ doesn’t recognize certificates/IDs as proof that dog is a service animal. Also note there’s no area near the motel to take them out. Aside from being outdated, the room carpet is stained, ripped & falling apart. Bed linens are stained/dirty. Decor is broken. Heat is inadequate - we were freezing all night & decided to shower at our next stop because the bathroom was too cold (& dirty). Curtains didn’t fully shut, so I had to use a hair clip. Wifi doesn’t work at all - stated “OYO HOTEL No Internet Connection” You only get your $50 deposit back by bringing the room card to the office upon check-out. This is extremely inconvenient when leaving at 6:00AM & they make you stand outside when it’s 18 degrees for the entire process.

Bare bones and COLD

So it’s not the first time I stayed at this motel, but we had a larger room. AND the heater didn’t get turned off during the day while we were at work. The bathroom had no electrical outlets, and was extremely cold, the wall heater was disabled. Everything was bare bones to be honest. Room was pretty small, out dated, mattresses thin and hard. The tv was pretty tiny, and the cables were loose, which I had to re-tighten in order to be able to watch tv.
The owners live on site, and seemed pretty nice, but again, with the outside temps being around 26 degrees at night, max 45 during the day, turning our heater off was very unkind, and it took 2 hours for the room to warm up. The bathroom….. never really warmed up. Talk about a shocking experience sitting down on the toilet seat!
