I booked a room at the Oyo hotel back in April and paid for it when I booked it. When we arrived at the hotel on September 12, we found it completely closed up with a we are closed sign in the window. Most of the rooms had doors that were left open and furniture Drug out there was painters tape around some windows and doors Making it look like a complete gut and remodel. We were left with no options for a room for the night and Oyo still has my money. We then later found out that the Oyo sold two or three weeks before we were to stay there.
I seem to be having a great bit of trouble getting my money refunded. Everyone seems to think that the place is still open.

The hotel had been closed for at least several weeks if not a couple of months and was in complete disrepair. We had to get rooms in another city since none were available in town. Hotels.com didn't even know that it was closed. I'll never use Hotel.com again due to lack of assistance. Refund reqested and given.

We showed up to check in and found out that the hotel was closed for business and had been sold a month prior and was going through a remodel. I was told my deposit would have to be refunded by hotels.com. and that they had no idea if i would be charged for the stay or not. After an hour and a half of jumping through hoops and being extremely hacked off hotels.com was able to snag the last room in town for me. I got no calls/ emails from oyo hotels, hotels.com or the new owners about the hotel closing. The bad thing is that i am booked at the same closed hotel the weekend after this and our state fair is going on meaning there is next to zero chance of me finding a room for next weekend and i was told just to wait to hear from us about that by hotels.com. i already have tickets and a whole weekend planned out but I'm suppoed to wait? Moral of the story, call the hotel and confirm your reservation prior to taking off on your trip. Thank god this weekend worked out, i dont feel so good about the next one working out.

I give it high marks because it is what I needed for the trip I took. You're not going to Hutchinson KS expecting to stay in a 5 star all inclusive resort. It us a clean bed in a town that has limited options. My only issue has nothing to do with the property, and everything to do with my family's choice of residence (Inman).

I didn't even stay at the hotel because upon arrival I was getting changed an additional fee of almost $100 for a security deposit. I didn't have the $100 so I was not permitted to stay. In addition I am being told that I will not receive a refund for the room that I NEVER stayed in.

Room stunk and they were rude.

I tried to check in at 2:15 pm and they said I had to wait till 3 pm or I would have to pay an extra $20 and the $60 deposit which I’d get back in 3-4 days. I still haven’t gotten the deposit back. The hotel wasn’t worth what I paid it was aged and in bad condition. And it stunk. Honestly if I didn’t have to pay for cancellation I would have went somewhere else. I was very unhappy with the room.

The stay itself was okay. It had a bed, shower, and a lockable door. The shower pressure was so so. The staff member was friendly and kind. The toilet started to leak on day 2 and a beetle and rolly polly got in my room somehow. They didnt come from the front door and were in by the shower. The AC worked great. It met the needs I had for the stay, but i think I'll look for a different place next time. I didnt want to leave anything on the floor so bugs didnt try to give me a surprise.

OYO IS AN OH NO!!!

The only good thing about this room was it was downstairs. Got woke up by the staff asking if we had a dog, which I told him about upon check in. He teied to say we didn't pay for the dog and he tried to tell me that I was passeed check out, which i booked for 2 nights. He did cheexk his records and everything was good. The room needs an update in the worse way, more light, and aa better bed and ac unit. The only that didnt make noise or neeeded updated was the fridge. Only 2 towels, 2 wash clothes, and 4 hand towels. Did see different kinds bugs but mostly roaches around the sinl area. I will never stay here if I every return

We booked early. We knew it wasn’t the Hilton but at least expected clean. when we got there we wasn’t sure so asked to look at the room. It was horrendous. Bedding was dirty bathroom tub had most of the porcelain was worn off. We asked to see another room and it was even worse. The over stuff cloth chair was so worn and dirty it looked like it should be sat out at the curb. Even with our room paid ahead with no refund…..we left.

There were roaches all around and inside the property. When we got there the shower curtain and bedding were smelly and not clean. There were stains all over the mattress and pillows, we used our own bedding. Saw and smashed 30 cockroaches during our stay. The photos of the rooms are not accurate at all. Ice machine was broken and the front desk seemed unhappy when asked for some. Never received room service and there wasn’t a trash can in the room. Microwave on the floor.

well on first of three nights the electric went out and was out from like 5pm to like 3 am. after that tv and cable didnt start to work. wifi was slow.

so basically i paid 200+$ for a three night stay and left at midnight on second night.

i dont think i should have paid for any night but the second one. but unfortunately no electric isn't their problem.

GOOD:
-very kind staff
-affordable
-clear effort to revitalize the lobby and hotel room
-sheets were clean
-plenty of towels and washcloths
-mini fridge and microwave in room
-hand soap, body wash, and shampoo+conditioner dispensers on the walls
-sink outside of the water closet makes multiple guests with bathroom needs easier
-there's a TV (though we didn't use it) and a recliner (which we also didn't use)
-effective privacy curtains
-parking right out front
-electronic room keycard worked well
-mattress had an encasement (protective cover) to prevent bed bugs
-kind of a mud room/closet area in the corner of the bathroom with a space for shoes or luggage

BAD:
-not much in walking distance; nearest groceries are about 10 blocks
-pretty bad location; rough part of town and right off of a street with a lot of traffic including larger trucks
-definitely a little smear of something brown on the wall in the bathroom area
-the room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals in spite of this
-air conditioning was functional, but set at 68F and probably only got the room to 72F
-small room, especially with the king bed in it
-very firm mattress with 3 pillows for the king size; that was fine for us but I'm not sure if they offer extras
-furniture was pretty beat up, but nothing broken or unusable
-the room was not fully repainted and instead patches were repainted with a different finish of paint, which didn't look great

Do NOT stay at this hotel!! It was absolutely gross! Would never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. When checking in, lobby had no AC and smelled like B.O. bad! Got to our room and immediately walked out and asked for another….yeah the second room wasn’t any better. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting and hair everywhere! Pulled down the comforter and hair and stains on the sheets. Pretty sure there was poop smeared on bathroom wall with hair and t.p. stuck to it on the wall. We were in town for a softball tournament and everything else was booked so we had no choice but to suck it up and stay. I will post pics of room.

Can’t say I’ll stay here again. The room looked nothing like the pictures that’s for sure. Not that I was expecting a holiday inn. I generally like to stay in a reasonably priced room that’s clean well lit and fairly up to date. But this room was definitely modern for 1986 complete with the big box television. But it was a color tv so that’s a plus. Not really sure why the breaker box in the bathroom wall was just hanging out without any type of cover but I guess it’s probably ok as long as your not trying to brush your teeth at the sink and accidentally splash water on it. Maybe the room was just in the middle of being remodeled or something. But i guess i shouldn’t complain too much as I did not complain to the office about it because i could tell that it just wasn’t going to do any good because by the looks of the whole place they probably didn’t have room in any better condition so I didn’t bother. At check in I was also required to put a $60 damage deposit on the room that I haven’t received back yet. I guess that should have been my first clue that I was in the wrong place

No attention to detail. Front lobby was a mess, junky. Side walk was dirty and really need power washing. The room was really dated. There was a nice refrigerator in room and a microwave. Curtains didn't fit the old and dated curtain rod. Bedsheet actually had holes in it! Very thin, seemed clean. Pillow were in need of replacing. The staff was very friendly and worked with us on modifying our days for our stay when I could not figure out how to do it using Expedia's website. The 3/4 size refrigerator in the room was very nice. We did ask for fresh bedding upon check in, and they took care of it right away. If you're looking for a basic hotel close to downtown Hutchinson, this is a good option. There is no breakfast at this property, and that's an amenity I selected on the website so I was disappointed in that, but McDonald's and Spangled are within waking distance.

I found a needle that I can only assume was used for drugs under the mattress while checking for bed bugs. Additionally, someone was kind enough to leave behind a bottle of astroglide in the bedside table. The overall hotel was unkept and unclean. The door let light through from the outside and gave an overall “homey feel.” 10/10 do not recommend unless you’re looking to get down and dirty with the drug traffic of Hutchinson, KS. When addressing this they simply said “let it be an exception.”

The motel seemed a little rundown overall, but the room was clean and it was comfortable. I was very pleased to see there was a washer and dryer downstairs, so I was able to wash all the clothes that we had worn so far on our cross country trip. The office was very helpful providing laundry detergent and change.

The only thing that made it worth anything was the bed. It was comfortable. The room was cold and freezing. The heater did not work. When I told them at check out about the fact that the room was freezing he said the manager was out in town. I had also ask why I was charged more then what I was offered though the site he kept telling me the manager was out. Though the site it was 43 dollars. But they ended up charging me 49.00. I looked at my invoice. Then he told we put 50.00 deposit. I said no you guys charged me more then what the site said. So I would like to understand why I got charged more. I’m driving all the way from pa to ca for my sisters funeral. Trying to save money where ever I can.

Veneer splintered and coming off of the bottom of the bathroom door, waiting to catch someone’s foot. TV worked great. Beds were firm and would have been fairly comfortable if they had not been so disgusting.

Was easy to figure out why there were no towels once you looked @ shower you didnt need towels
