I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Quiet Mind Mountain Lodge Retreat and Spa, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Upon arrival, we were able to upgrade to our room, which added a lovely touch to our stay. The room itself was stunning, featuring a beautiful ambiance that made us feel right at home.

One of the highlights was the luxurious bathroom, a fantastic shower that offered a rejuvenating experience after a long day. The attention to detail in the room truly enhanced our comfort. There was also a jetted tub in the room.

Although the weather was quite cold during our visit, preventing us from enjoying the lovely patio, it was a beautiful space that I can only imagine would be perfect for relaxing in warmer weather.

The staff at the lodge were incredibly sweet and attentive, always ready to help and ensure we had a wonderful stay. Their warmth added to the overall welcoming atmosphere of the retreat.

My only regret was not being able to book a massage, as my husband and I made our plans last minute. However, this experience has left us eager to return, and we would absolutely make it a priority to indulge in the spa services next time. Overall, the Quiet Mind Mountain Lodge is a true gem, and we can’t wait to plan our next visit!

Good vibes for healing and relaxing. Beautiful views of the lake enhance this laid back sanctuary. Not fancy, but more funky Buddhist. The manager Adam and his staff were welcoming and saw that we had everything we needed. Our room had a lake view and patio and am amazing steam shower! Reiki Master is superb - I had a transformative session with her. The meditation room is beautiful and serene. Overall, it exceeded our expectations.

But the free continental breakfast that came with the premium room was just bagels and oatmeal and they said they supplied toiletries but there was only soap and toilet paper idk I just expected a little more for the price, but they were very nice and very clean just bring your own supplies and you gotta pay extra for a breakfast.

I’m really de disappointment with the Hotel, I pay for nice Room and they give me below average of what i pay for, the person in charge offer me a 1 hour sauna with a hot tub as compensation, beside change the room for one night and go back the next day for a smaller room. That same night was raining so bad, that our restroom was licking cold water, they didn’t give us another room, what makes it worse they try to rent that same room with water leakage problem to another person. How in the world they think I want to leave in the middle of the storm when I pay for a nice enjoyable moment. I truly believe that they scammed me.

Sara was helpful about my back pain issues with high bed access-providing stepstool--DOOR CODES ARE A PAIN--Their ice machine is ridiculous--Please provide room freezer compartments for iceboxes so small quantities of ice can be made. Hot tub doesn't work properly and bubble because not enough water in it. Help is scare during the day because they are in the main office area only. The room cleaning agents are top notch with no terrible fumes. Occasional field mouse kitchen area and the main hall rug should be removed or at least cleaned more often. Rooms are cleaned well.

My husband and I booked a relaxing getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Upon check in we were very please to learn we had been upgraded to a suite with a king bed and a clawfoot tub <3 The area around the premises and the lake was nice and quiet and a nice break from loud Los Angeles! Staff was very friendly and accommodating, my Husband requested a new robe and we received it within minutes. Our spa treatments were nice and relaxing, almost wish I booked more! Overall an amazing stay, just what we needed!

Beautiful and it did have a lake view. The map of the building was poor but otherwise it seemed very nice. Also it would have been nice if it had a microwave. The breakfast was wonderful, but four trays were empty by 9 am when I went for breakfast and it said breakfast was between 8-10 am and there was nobody there keep track of the breakfast. Also the spa was only at 95 degrees instead of the usual approximately 105 -100 degrees so it was too cold. But the building did offer a nice gym and billiards and a room to view the outside and patios. Overal the room was nice. Thank you for everything!

This place is an amazing location to come find peace of mind and discharge and disconnect from everything. The hot Jacuzzi outside overlooking the lake and mountains is very relaxing. Rooms are beautiful. Recommend getting the king size bed. Only recommendation is to be careful with your GPS because it will take you to the wrong spot. Use the address of the lodge, not the name. Once you are close enough you will see a fire station. One you are at the station make a right and then left on second street you see. You will be there in 2 minutes. Worst case scenario call the lodge or ask a fireman at the station.

I loved the decor, nice comfortable bed and the breakfast offered. Parking is unpaved and unmarked with a truck obstructing the narrow way in a spot.

I would have appreciated the disclosure of a bonafide statue of an idol in the ad, however. It made me uncomfortable.

A Hidden and Getaway

This place is a gem and I only wish we had more time to enjoy it. The whole vibe is peaceful and quiet and the views are amazing on the lake side of the property. Breakfast was very yummy and I will be back another time to fully enjoy this property. Everyone we encountered who worked there was amazing and very personable.

My only suggestions are that it would be nice to be able to cover the light on the A/C unit as it's very bright, all night long. Otherwise, if you need complete darkness to sleep, I would bring a sleeping mask. And, being able to call and reach someone is preferable to me vs. texting with reservation questions.

This place is a catfish

chose this place because it looked so beautiful in the pictures. I needed some time away from the city n it’s in a perfect area for that i thought: “wow what a beautiful heated pool!” Yeah it’s not a pool… it’s a hot tub! That you can get on Amazon. It has pretty led lights on the jets, but the Amazon ones do too. (Pros: great view of stars.)And then it was dirty! So I asked them to clean it, they said “sure we’ll get to it immediately”. But waited to get someone to clean it until the next night after I asked a fourth time? And when I finally did go in the worker living downstairs came to tell me it was late n to shut up. The workers are very rude I think they’re racist. Lady just ignored my small talk. And when I asked questions she pretended not to hear me or would respond minutes later? Idk if it’s because I’m young or because I’m Mexican, but it doesn’t matter what I am I’m going there to relax just like anybody else that’s what a retreat is for right? Or so I thought… the others that were staying there were very annoying. My room had a balcony with the view of the lake, and it’s very obvious it used to be just one big balcony, they’re literally just divided by a room divider, and you can hear everything (there’s signs that say no phone zone but everyone was talking on the phone very loud Nextdoor ). The breakfast n dinner options suck, worker rudely suggested I eat elsewhere. And room door was open every time I came out the bathroom or came in from balcony? Not a retreat

Booked the romantic suite - Not what we expected. The side panels to the tub were literally coming apart and the outside daybed had a lot of white stains on it. Key getting jammed trying to get into our suite at night.. and Sarah mentioned providing complimentary rose petals upon arrival and did not receive any. Overall, not an ideal place for a couple in their 20’s. It’s more of an older folk retreat home.

We had an amazing stay at the Quiet Mind Retreat. The offering of services there was amazing and the view and serene atmosphere was a welcome experience. The view of the Cuyamaca lake from the lodge was spectacular. The massage experts and energy and yoga specialists were top notch and the cell phone free zones and encouraged quiet time was much needed.

We have fished Lake Cuyamaca for many years and wanted a view of the Lake to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. We had a beautiful view and a restful time. Our room was equipped with a bidet, clawfoot jacuzzi tub and a shower with so many settings that it was delightful showering and being spoiled.
The staff was amazing and helped make our stay special. Special thanks to Sarah, Uni and Adam for taking such good care of us. We are already planning our next visit.
