Key cards worked now and then. Three times in our two-day stay we had to go to the front desk for assistance because the key cards would not let us in the door. We stood outdoors with a very chilly wind blowing waiting for assistance.

This place was horrible. I had to park on the opposite side of the building from were my room was. The pictures on their website must have been from 20 years ago. No coffee pot , a small refrigerator was sitting on the floor, you had to get on your hands and knees to get anything out of it. The bathtub was stained. Paint peeling off the walls. I can go on and on.

Overall the room was okay, however it received such a low score because our keys didn’t work when we first arrived, found hair in our shower and noticed small spots of blood staining near the top of the sheets while climbing into bed. Also our door wouldn’t shut and lock from the inside, you had to giggle the knob and then shut it before the door would lock properly. The gentleman at the counter was friendly. Helpful when our keys didn’t work.

I walk into the room and it’s 83° in there because the thermostat didn’t work correctly on the heating element. There was no toilet paper or tissues in the room. There was a lightbulb burned out above the sink. There was two bottles of conditioner and no shampoo. The finish on the tiles in the shower was peeling off and curling. There was also mold along the edges of the shower. The drywall next to the door was crumbling off the wall, and there was a pile of powdered drywall in the corner. The worst part of the whole experience was when I let the manager know all of these problems, he acted angry at me and told me he couldn’t give me a refund because I booked through a third-party site. I told him I was informing him of all these problems so he could get them corrected so the next person doesn’t have to deal with all this. I never mentioned a refund until he displayed this unprofessional behavior. This was probably one of my top five worst hotel stays ever in my life.

Too close to the intersection of two major trucking highways. Was noisy all the time. Housekeeping only offered after three days. The carpet was badly in need of shampooing. (the dirt rubbed off onto my white socks.) One of the pillowcases was stained. On the plus side, the room was bug free and the countertops and appliances were clean. the best thing was the very helpful lady doing check-in.

Everything was dirty, hair in the bathtub, the light switches had grime all over them, there was toothpaste still in the sink, butter packets left in the fridge from a previous guest, cobwebs in the corners, the carpet was filthy, and the entire place was run down and in desperate need of repair. I took photos and left. Didn't even spend the night, found lodging elsewhere.

Don’t know where to start..Disappointing, room so cold that it too long or maybe never warmed up, floor in room dirty and nothing to wet shoes on. Not enough blankets on bed to stay warm waiting for warmth from heater running all night long! Waffle maker for breakfast not setup for waffles, no waffle mix. Front desk staff was nice though

The rooms are not that clean they could really use new carpet and clean around the outside edge of the walls and the wallpaper was coming down off the walls and you could see the mold. The toilet moved when you sat down. Not enough towels for everyone in the room. NO pen or paper to write on. Breakfast was limited and no place to sit, if we wanted to eat there.

There was no telephone in the room. Inside main curtains missing rod to move them. Television remote kind of hard to operate and look up local programs. No chair for desk in room if a person wanted to sit down to eat. Parts of decorative tile in bathroom was missing. Bathtub did not have grab bars in case person slipped while showering. Overall i have stayed at other places in Norfolk better accomodations.

There was a small issue. We specified 3 people, and it showed a sleeper couch; Or maybe I thought it showed
that. But anyway, our grandson ended up sleeping on the floor and then in the chair. The A/C worked fine, and the bed was comfortable. The cable was a little confusing, but we did used it more as noise in the background.

Everything was filthy. The white curtains were black, we found plume pits hidden in the corner and the bedding was dirty. The provided shampoo and lotion were previously used and the bathroom was dirty. Completely disappointed does not even come close to how we felt.

Check in went well. As i pulled up to my room there were Men sitting outside who had clearly been drinking. I had to walk past them to get to my room. They whistled and tried talking me. I thought i should be fine as i wasn’t planning on leaving my room. Sitting in my room you could hear them yelling, arguing, and then glass broke. There was trash around the bed. I didn’t stay the night in the room and left after 30 minutes. They offered a different room when i told the desk clerk what happened but i refused as i felt unsafe to stay there.

The rooms had coffee pots & cups but no coffee. The front desk said coffee was only available at the office. This was an inconvenience to have to dress & leave the room. One of my family members uses a walker & decided it wasn’t worth it. The TV/cable service was out or when intermittently available - the screen froze. Some channels listed were not available. The shower curtain was new & there were sufficient towels but in the grand scheme-not a place I would revisit. Property also needs updating.

Our air conditioning was not working and when we called the front desk, they offered a desk top fan or to move us to a new room at 11 at night. My kid was already sleeping. Plus we had to ask for more pillows to which they brought towels instead. This was after I had to call back after 40 minutes to ask for them again, and they still got it wrong. Horrible place to stay.

They're advertised a Cafe/bar lounge. There wasn't one.it was closed down.the room smelled of mold,&the Air conditioner & filter was discussitngly Filthy.I had to clean it.No regular coffee,all decaf.hand Soap Was used and put back in package. And the pillows were absolute horrible big and bulky. When I went to have breakfast,I got yelled at and was told that breakfast was over an hour ago!! even though they still had food out on the counter & in the warmers. I turned in my key And informed them of the situation in the room and Told her if their breakfast was over an hour ago. They shouldn't have it out! ..I wasn't compensated in any way. After I told her about the room then she said I could go have some breakfast, I said no thank you.! The Out side walkway to my room was filthy. And smelled like pee. I do not recommend this place 😕

I only think that if the updated the comforters to something thicker and new carpets throughout the whole hotel. It would be even awesome to stay. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is actually updated and nice. We had a few knicks on the ridge of the tub. A piece was laying on top of. Someone must've dropped something hard or metal on it. For that to happen to a porcelain tub. Besides that. WE LOVED THE METAL FRAMED DOORS AND THE AMOUNT OF LIGHTING OUTSIDE OF THE ROOMS!!!!! Security wasn't an issue either because of this.

We booked for a room with two bed, when got to the hotel they booked us a room with one king size bed, then told us they didn't have any other rooms available they were completely booked. This was not convenient for us. We had a handicap person with us that needed a frist floor access. Very unhappy with the whole experience!! Do not book at this place.

Last minute booking so I didn't have time to look at other reviews.

Bed was barely made. Mildew or mold on wall behind door.

Tub was stained and had some debris left in it. This is an old school motel set up and parking was less than accommodating.

Glad I didn't set anything of mine down on the furniture as there are several reviews indicating the presence of bed bugs at this establishment.

I wasn't about to find out if that was the case with my room so I left.

This is an old property that needs updating. The worst part is the bathroom sink wasn't at all clean. The sofa in the room was good for putting a suitcase on but was very old and not very clean. The bedding was clean and the mattress and pillows were comfortable. Don't say here for the breakfast. They had a waffle maker but the syrup was empty and no one was around to fill it.

the room didnt have much for electrical outlets, had to move the bed to find an extension/cheap power strip. Floor was filthy under the bed. No hot water in the shower-- ran water 15 minutes and still tap cold. Shower needs a thorough cleaning. Went to check out, no one at front desk. Rang bell, no response. We were in Norfork for Thanksgiving at our daughters. So we didn't want to pay high dollar for a room. Our stay was affordable and offered breakfast, which was a plus. Our room was on the ground floor. We parked in front of our room door. After entering we noticed there was paint peeling around the door. And it wascold in the room. We turned up the heater. We both wanted to shower before going to bed. We noticed that there were several black fingerprints on the bathroom walls, and a half empty shampoo bottle with the lid off of it was left in the tub. There was also a hair on the wall. I had to clean off the toilet seat before using it. The bed had been changed and remade. It was clean. We noticed cold air coming through the crack in the closed door. We ended up putting a blanket at the bottom of the door a d hung one up to keep the cold air from coming in. We spoke to the front desk person about the room not being clean. They sent someone to clean it while we were out for the day.

The courtyard location was nice and quiet. Not really crazy about the gambling machines in the breakfast room.
Toilet paper was almost out and we needed more towels; front desk was prompt in helping in that area. One of our members was cold and asked for an extra blanket, but there were none available.
