No breakfast!

No breakfast! Even though it says breakfast when I ordered. The employee at the guesthouse tried to help, and was nice. But in the end I paid for breakfast, and I didn't get it.

The accomodation was clean, however, there was no kettle to boil water, no breakfast as advertised, and there was only a sheet as a blanket on the bed.. we had to find a very thin blanket in the cupboard to keep warm.

This property is in a gated enclave. You need like 4 separate keys to get in. One to get thru the gates, another for the building, another to enter the floor, and then one for your room. And some of the keys are tricky old style European keys. I'm sure it's easy when you are used to it, but it's tricky at the start.

You have to arrive during the check in period otherwise you won't even be able to get into the gated enclave. And the reception is only there for a limited time.

My room was in the main building on the ground floor so I didn't have to deal with too many steps. The room itself was really nice and big and they gave coffee, cookies, and sparkling water for free.

The area around the hotel is okay. It's a bit quiet but there is a metro nearby. But not a lot of buses.

I think the main issue for me was the fact that you have to be mindful of checkin and also opening the doors can be complicated, which you may not want to deal with after a night out.

Great city retreate

Great experience at the hotel. The staff were nice and friendly and our check-in and check-out had no issues. Special thanks to Robert for making the stay memorable, he was very helpful and informative!

Room is spacious and bed is comfortable. The shower is a little too small and had bad drainage. Wifi is okay, not the best but could have just been our room. The breakfast is not the best but its included so I am not complaining, plus there are a lot of nice cafe's around that arent too expensive!

This is a very quiet and comfortable place to stay. It is very close to FAO and to a number of good restaurants. The Metro and bis stops are also very nearby. The staff was most accommodating - I arrived a bit before 10AM, my room was ready, and they even invited me to have breakfast. My room was large and comfortable. It is a very small operation. It is behind a locked gate, which provides extra safety. Free WiFi was very good. I would definitely stay there agin.

Excellent alternative when in Rome for tourism.

Everything was excellent. Staff was very helpful and took care of all arrangements needed. Location is excellent, breakfast that is simple, but at the same has everything you need, room is comfortable and bathroom is clean and equipped.

Convenient and well run hotel

I was visiting the nearby FAO offices for two days, but had some free time to see the antiquities within a few minutes walk. The local restaurants and shops meant that all my needs were met within a couple of blocks. All this within 100 metres of the metro station that is only 3 stops from the Central Station, with its direct rail link to the airport.

Very Nice Clean Room In Great Location for Cheap

Close to the Metro. Great hotel staff. Clean room. Nice bathroom and shower. The shower is nice glass doors that keep the water in. Room was cleaned every day. As mentioned before, the safe is large enough to fit a laptop which was great. Complimentary breakfast was good and complimentary sparkling water and juice is available 24 hours a day.
The hotel is within the Aurelian walls and it is a fixed price taxi ride to Fiumicino Airport (FCO) of 48 Euro. (Don't let the taxi driver lie to you)
Great price and great place to stay.

Nicer, quieter area of town

First, after staying in the Trevi fountain area, the Aventino area was a breath of fresh air. Cleaner, quieter, nicer, but still plenty accessible to sites and food. The hotel was fine. Our room was clean and modern. We stayed in 2 places in Rome, and 1 in Naples, and this was the best, especially at this price.

Great deal for under 100 euros

It was a business trip for me and the hotel was walking distance from work. The hotel looks brand new (although it is not), it is very clean and quite comfortable, centrally located. The rooms are larger than average for Rome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was allowed a late check out without any extra charge, which was an extra plus.

My only wish is that breakfast could be a better. At the same time, bottled water is available free of charge throughout the day.

Overall, an excellent deal.

A couple of nights @ Aventino Guest House

The staff was very helpful and supportive in all possible ways, but the genral condition of the hotel needs more attention. The A/C was not working as well as teh shower head or even the satelite TV.
They have a nice place but they must pay more attention to maintenance

'Guest House' in Rome

Because it took us longer (using the shuttle bus service) to get from Rome, Fiumicino to the guest house than it did from St.Albans, England to the Italian airport , we did not arrive until after 8:00pm. The gates etc. were locked & there did not seem to be any way we could get in. We were later told that we had been sent an E-mail saying the place 'closed' at 7:00 pm but although it was sent the day before we flew out we had already left home then. Fortunately another person staying at the guest house was able to let us in & call someone re our booked room who arrived reasonably quickly.
The room itself was good for the price. Breakfast was pretty basic - 'do it yourself' from packets etc There was nobody around except 1 or 2 other 'customers'.
The location was O.K. for bus & metro services but not very good for evening meals.

Mycket trivsamt litet hotell med tyst och bra läge. Fin altan där man kan inta sin frukost eller bara en kaffe.
Många trevliga restauranger och cafeer i närheten.
Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam värd. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka 😍

Zuerst: es handelt sich eigentlich um kein Hotel, sondern um eine Wohnung, in der einzelne Zimmer vermietet werden. Mein Zimmer hatte aber schon ein eigenes Bad und WC, das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt, die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich. Es gab Frühstück auf italienische Art, aber verhungert bin ich nicht. Das Frühstück kann man bei entsprechender Wetterlage auf der Terrasse einnehmen, was sehr nett ist. Die Umgebung ist ideal für Leute, die bei der FAO zu tun haben. Aber auch für Touristen ist die Nähe zum Kollosseum, zur Bocca della verita und zum Forum günstig. Natürlich darf man sich jetzt keinen 5* Luxus erwarten, aber für den günstigen Preis habe ich gar nicht so schlecht gelebt. Man bekommt auf diese Weise so richtig das römische Leben mit, wie wenn man selbst ein Einheimischer wäre. Ich bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob ich das nächste Mal nicht doch wieder ein richtiges Hotel will. Mal sehen.

Quando ho scelto questa struttura mi sono innamorata delle foto delle camere che sembrano sì moderne ma soprattutto confortevole e luminosi, purtroppo al nostro arrivo abbiamo scoperto che siano stati confinati in una stanza così piccola, da sembrare un ripostiglio, e che ci ha costretto a stare affacciati alla finestra fino a notte fonda perchè ce la sentivano stretta addosso e non abbiamo riposato bene.
Inoltre era il 14 luglio, una giornata caldissima, è l'accoglienza è stata una bottiglina d'acqua sulla scrivania lasciata a temperatura ambiente e con il frigo bar spento.
La finestra della camera era tutta sgangherata, come i complementi d'arredo del bagno.
La colazione era terribile, fredda e i croissant erano congelati.
Mi dispiace molto, ma siamo stati forse....molto...molto sfortunati!!!!
in confronto al prezzo (140 euro a notte oltre tassa di soggiorno) mi sarei aspettato di meglio!!!
almeno ci siamo goduti un fantastico spettacolo di Roger Water al Circo Massimo, che si trova per fortuna a 4 passi dalla struttura.

小さな小さなゲストハウスです。クッションにいろんな人の汗が染み付いているせいか臭いですが、それを除けば後は快適です。建物は二つに分かれていて、新しい方の部屋の方がシャワーの出も良く全体的に清潔感があります。
