We loved staying right on the beach. The property is huge and the dining options were great and literally next door. The only downside was you couldn’t put the spa temp above 38 and with the wind blowing we got cold often. Other than that we had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

This review is not about the onsite managers. Matt & Dionne are great people & the overall condition of the property is good. All the apartments are individually owned. Unfortunately our apartment was not fantastic. The bed was advertised as queen size. But is was a double. A really uncomfortable one at that. So bad that my wife & I spent our anniversary week in separate beds just to get some sleep. The café next door uses a leaf blower at around 630 every morning to wake you up. The pub across the road can be rowdy. I'd have to say overall just not worth the extra money to be on the beach.

Great resort however the information on wot-if & the communication from the resort didn’t align…. I paid extra when I booked for free cancellation & pay on arrival ( wot if site) but was told by resort that I had to pay a deposit up front & there would only be free cancellation up until a month before arrival. Full payment to be paid 2 weeks out. Resort needs to ensure they align with what is advertised on booking sites. Otherwise a great resort.

I stayed in a beach front penthouse with rooftop spa - the photos are outdated, the furniture was old and worn and did not have a pleasant feel to it. The bed just had a sheet and cover on the bed and it was freezing (there was a blanket in the cupboard tho). The location, view and sunset are amazing. Management were lovely.

Stayed here over a long weekend and loved it! The apartment was lovely, we had a two bed but next time I would book a beachfront apartment, we still had a great view and the place was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly, we will be going back for sure!

Loved the location. IGA, bakery and butcher across the road. The unit had a bbq, so it was lovely to cook at home. Surf club next door and coffee shops for breakfast.
For the money we paid and the title of penthouse It was disappointing as the unit was smallish and a double bed in the main, not queen as mentioned in the brief.

We loved that the property was beach front, had plenty of space and all the amenities and equipment that you need, and the great location.
Perhaps a toilet on the second floor would be handy.
We did not like the style of the ensuite with no door or walls (except glass); and that there were no screens on the doors.

Our initial first impressions were great. Check In was great we were greeted with warm smiles and enthusiasm. The location of the property was good, close to the beach, cafe’s and a pub. Our room was pretty well disappointing for $300 per night. Pillows and linen were stained, dust inches thick on air con vents, and window ledges. Mould in fridge sill and rust on door. Bed and pillows were hard. Lounge suit was aged and cracked. Shower not clean. Over all not satisfactory for the price.

Good for a weekend break

The air conditioning had no heating, luckily there was a heater in the cupboard. The bedroom had shutters that don’t completely block the morning light and luckily no one wanted to stay up and watch tv as there were shutters between the bedroom and tv room instead of a wall. The view was fairly obstructed by the building in front, it was best on the balcony. The recliner lounge chairs didn’t recline as the mechanism was broken. The starter pack tea and coffee was 4 sachets of each, which we used on our first afternoon and then it was 50cents each for any more, so we walked across the road to the IGA convenience store and bought more. We only went for 2 nights so expected to be provided with enough for that time. No salt and pepper was provided. There was no hot tub unless you paid extra for a room with one (on the top floor). There was no gym. It shouldn’t be called a resort. The area was great, with access to the surf beach via a walkway, and next to lots of eating places (although quite a few close early at night.) All the meals we had at various places were tasty and fresh, prices were cheaper than Brisbane. The wifi was excellent. Only one person used it for emails so 30gb/ day was enough.

The apartment we had had a wonderful sea view and a large well designed balcony. The apartment was close to some good restaurants, the surf club and a good fish and chip shop. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Bribie Island has a good museum and some good nature walks. However could be a bit short on things for a long stay.

Lovely compact apartment with great views. Electric cook top and poorly designed kitchen made it not very functional. One of the sets of keys did not work well. Spent half an hour trying to lock the unit. Saw the manager leave despite seeing i was having issues with it (he clearly looked up but i only realised he was the manager later) and ended up ringing him. Locks clearly need some maintenance.
Toilets in the unit we were in were very low, almost like they were for kids. A great handy spot but after the hassle with the locks not sure we would stay here again.

The location of the property was the shining star! It was right near the beach and a short walk to cafes, shops, etc. We also loved the hot tub on the top floor of our apartment, too!

The only negatives were that the resort wasn't fully serviced (maybe I didn't read the details closely enough, but I wasn't expecting having to take out the trash everyday during our stay) and the reception had odd hours (they were not on-site on Sat afternoon and all day Sunday, as well as at nights). This only proved a problem when we checked in and found that the WiFi code was nowhere to be found in the apartment. Not a huge deal, but somewhat frustrating when you've been told there was free WiFi.

We love staying at On The Beach Resort! This is our fourth stay and won’t be our last. Lovely managers and staff who go out of their way to be accomodating. Room is always lovely and clean with a gorgeous view. Bbq facilities and pool are immaculate and gardens are beautiful. Highly recommend staying here, we will be back.

Relaxing, quiet and literally on the beach

We stayed into penthouse villa at the front. It has 3 levels, bottom has bedroom and bathroom. Up from that is kitchen, dining and living then on top is a private rooftop spa, bbq and toilet. Great views of the ocean and plenty of space. Well appointed kitchen and facilities. Very quiet, can't hear any neighbours. Very relaxing. Convenient location. Would stay again.

We enjoyed the penthouse and it’s fabulous views.

We booked this accommodation for the day of our daughters wedding. We enjoyed the space for 8 people to have hair & makeup done, without being in each other’s way. We also had wedding party photos done within the accommodation, rooms, gardens.

The apartment was beautiful, overlooking the sea, staff were very friendly and very easy going. The only thing I would say is that we did not have bath in the apartment and could not have hot bath/spa to relax after the day full of activities. We had with us baby and we had to bath her in the sink which was very huge (fortunately) in the main en suite. Bit expensive though.
