The hotel is very good for its rating of 3 stars. The room was nice and tidy. No problems with the room. The check in was good and the clerk was very nice and saw us to stairway to room. The dinner was very good and plentiful and the waitress was very nice and attentative. Breakfast was also very good and a nice selection.

There seems to be confusion here. I booked for the night 29th / 30th directly with the hotel. On arrival I was informed that Expedia had also booked me in for the night 28/29th December and Expedia would charge me accordingly. If true I insist on a full refund and explanation as to how this could happen.
It is an excellent establishment. My low scores are because of a wedding which carried on very noisily till 12.30 am. I was expecting this so no criticism of the hotel in which I will stay again when visiting Ireland.

Staff were efficient, the room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and clean, and the hotel in general was attractive. The decor is a bit worn and dated, but not enough to affect the enjoyment of the stay.

I had dinner at the hotel's restaurant, which was a great convenience after a long day's driving. The food was acceptable if a bit overpriced. It's not a restaurant I would go out of my way to visit. The orange juice they served was on the edge of freshness (a distinct alcohol smell) and the fish wasn't as fresh as one might hope although it was very palatable.

I left too early to avail myself of the breakfast menu.

I recommend this hotel.

Room was a clean, bathroom excellent but main room a tiny bit tired, though very comfortable; we were in one of the handful of ground floor rooms and I do wonder if these are a bit like the 'coach drivers' rooms you sometimes get in some hotels that aren't quite as up to date as the rest - only going by the photos on this site? Staff very friendly though and breakfast was excellent, as was the 'handy' pub/lounge on the end. Ideal for ferry and would stay here again (if they'd have us!).

This is a budget hotel and our stay was a short overnight prior to catching the morning ferry from Rosslare, so I am trying to put it into perspective. Plus points: it is very convenient for Rosslare and the evening meal and inclusive breakfast there are very good. Very good service too and we cannot praise the staff highly enough. Minus points: it is on a busy main road and the rooms in the front can be noisy with the window open. We needed the window open because in the absence of air con the west facing room got rather hot and stuffy. Though a desk fan in the room mitigated this to some extent. The TV only had a limited number of channels working. The room was big enough, but with limited facilities, and except for the temperature in warm weather it was comfortable. To be honest, the room especially looks in need of refurbishment. But given its location and price we were content with our stay.

We stopped here overnight after taking the afternoon ferry from Pembroke. The hotel was very easy to find and check-in was quick and friendly. The family room was not cramped and everything was very clean. Breakfast was served in the comfortable dining room, offered plenty of choice and was well cooked. The staff were very friendly. We would certainly use this hotel again next time we travel to Ireland.

We stayed overnight before xatching the early ferry from Rosslare. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the evening meal was tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the person on Reception who took great trouble in organising a 'take-out' breakfast for us (including a gluten-free one) as we were leaving before 7am. We'll certainly be back the next time we catch the ferry.

The hotel is well situated on the Rosslare side of Wexford and just a 15-20 minute drive to the ferry. Less to Wexford town centre

We were put in an older, dated room, right next door to the function.
A big function was on and lasted well past 8:00 pm, so we stayed away from the hotel as it was very loud.
The front desk staff were not very welcoming.
We were an after thought, no smile or warm welcome.

Stayed for 1 night at the Farmers Kitchen Hotel, pleasant stay with friendly helpful staff. Had requested an early check in as we were going to another event and this was arranged for us with both rooms being available. Rooms are good size, cleaned to a high standard, comfortable beds, tea making facilities. Breakfast served until 11.15 whihc was ideal for us. Have stayed here previously and would recommend it - good value, clean comfortable hotel, friendly staff

Very outdated. No elevator and limited staff checking in. One of the wait staffed was asked to help bring up bags and they only helped one of our party and said they had to get back to their station. Leaving the rest of us to bring up our own bags up the flight of stairs. Room was very hot with no way to turn down heat.

Hotel was pretty cool with a nice restaurant attached. However the heat didn’t turn on until later in the evening. The first night a window in the bathroom below us was banging in the wind all night long. It was terrible. Security never saw it but we were given a $30 voucher for food because we didn’t sleep the whole night. The second night there was a party in the even room downstairs right below us. The noise and music wasn’t that noticeable until the people end into the bathroom and it sounded like they were in the room with us. We had a child in our room and would have appreciated a different room. I would think they could have planned our placement a little better. But the bathroom was nice with a heated towel rack. The food was great at the restaurant.

Brilliant stay at Farmer's Kitchen Hotel

I had an excellent stay at Farmer's Kitchen Hotel. Everything from the initial reservation, checking in and parking were perfect.
The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with a great bathroom too.
I went into Wexford on the bus in search of Guinness and had a lovely time. Then back to the hotel for a super meal and a final Guinness.
The room was lovely and warm when I arrived which was great too.
Super comfortable bed, I had a good sleep.
I had to get away sharpish in the morning and the lovely lady on reception suggested I pre order breakfast which would be ready for 7am.
I travel for work very regularly all over Europe and can honestly say this has been one of my best hotels stays.
Thank you to all who made my stay so nice, I will be back.

The staff is wonderful, especially the young man that worked the overnight shift. He a had a hot takeaway breakfast ready for us. We had to leave before breakfast to catch the ferry to Wales. The dinner the night before was delicious and the server was very sweet.. The room was comfortable. The only complaints would be that the shower was quite small and it was very easy to hear the peoole walking around above us. Neither of those things are huge issues, but they are potential issues.

Lovely hotel for the night before catching the frrry home. Wonderful staff especially Paul, who kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast for our very early departure. Very much appreciated!
One thing to note is that there is not a pool. I was under the impression that there was as the listing on Expedia and hotels.com states a pool is available. The lady on reception was baffled but did say that we weren’t the first people to ask about it.
I booked this hotel because of the pool but it was a lovely anyway. Just wanted to highlight for other guests.
