Great little locally owned place. The food was good. The pub was great. Friendly locals gathered as well as fellow travelers. Had a great time and really enjoyed staying at the hotel so much, we decided to stay another night.
The staff was also very accommodating where they could be, although we did have a few issues. We had some trouble with no heat in our room the first night. The staff was quick to respond to turn it on that evening; however, it didn't get/stay on, so it never warmed up, and was very cold. Due to the limited staff availability, (not available 24 hours,) we we unable to get heat until the next day. They did attend to it to ensure it worked the next day though. The other issue was not having a way to make outbound local calls. As we were traveling internationally, our phones couldn't be used for calls (due to phone plan,) and we found ourselves scrambling with other guests to order food delivery one night, since we missed the 8pm food cut off. We were able to find someone else also looking to order food, but it was unnecessarily complicated and stressful. I understand, though. They are a small, local place and need to keep costs down where they can.
Overall, we had a wonderful time, the staff was accommodating, and we would definitely stay there again if/when we make it back to Curracloe!

My room was pleasant and very clean and my bed was comfortable. The soap dispensers in the bathroom were placed so high I could barely reach them. The service for dinner both in the restaurant and the pub was apathetic at best from the females. WHY? Both the older and the young man in the pub were efficient and helpful.The ladies at the front desk were marvellous, friendly and helpful,thanks. The location is wonderful, both for Wexford town and all of east Wexford. I do hope I get to stay there again soon.

Booked for a weekend and left after one night.

Check in was fast and staff member was pleasant. Room was a bit dated but clean.

After checking into our room we went down to the bar for lunch. I had Roast Beef sandwich and my wife had chicken wings. The staff were very friendly and service was quick. The food was lovely and prices reasonable.

We went out of the hotel to a party but returned at 12.30am. The noise along our corridor was incredible, kids running up and down, bedroom doors opening and closing with a bang. We had finally nodded off when we heard voices yelling \"JESSICA!!\" and banging relentlessly on a door in the hall. It literally went on for 5 minutes until I had enough and left a roar for them to be quiet. It was 2am!!! Things seemed to settle down then.

It started all over again at 8am with kids running up and down the hall. It was the worse experience I have ever had at a hotel. We have 3 kids ourselves but there was no sign of any parent telling their kids to be quiet at that hour of a Sunday morning.

We ended up getting up ourselves and heading down for breakfast because there was no way we were getting back to sleep. The food was lovely and service was fast. Breakfast was €13.50 a head.

We then went to Curracloe beach for a walk, its really lovely and the most redeeming feature of the village.

While out walking we decided we couldn't stay the second night and risk a similar experience so we went back to the hotel, packed up and left. There was nobody at reception to complain to as we were leaving.

Bathroom covered in mould, walls, grout and shower head. Dirt and bundle of dirty drain hair beside the bin in bathroom, dried blood on walls, very outdated and crusty everywhere.
Bedroom: sand in bed and window cills, make up stains on pillows and blankets. Floor very dirty full of crumbs and hair. Mould in kettle.

We had an issue checking out at 6am, no one around, all the doors were locked and no one answering on the number on the door to call.

Luckily I have the emergency exit door and let myself out the hotel !!!

Very scary experience!

I did tell the staff I was leaving at 6am and will not require breakfast.
Not sure why she didnt mention how to exit the hotel.

This is at best a budget hotel, charging inflated prices. There is nobody in reception when you arrive, so not at all welcoming. It looks like a very forgotten care home, in need of attention. The number of guests in our party had not been taken on board by the hotel staff, and although the issue was eventually sorted, we were made to feel like an inconvenience to them. Our stay was not at all enjoyable and we would not recommend at all.

We booked this room for 5 people a few hours before arriving. The room was perfect, the extra bed was already set up. Restaurant closed at 9 and we turned up at 8:51. They could not have been more accommodating, absolutely no bother they said. The food was delicious. Can’t fault this place at all!

Hotel Curracloe - a good decision

Coming off the afternoon ferry from Wales, we stayed at the hotel before travelling south the following day. The room was “roomy” and the bed very comfortable. Good atmosphere in the bar in the evening (a Friday) with a mix of guests and locals present. The evening meals looked tasty (we had eaten before arriving). The “full Irish breakfast” was good value for money. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We would stay there again.

Nice overall stay. Room was a bit noisy in the middle of the night being low and facing the parking lot (people leaving a wedding?). Hot water was a bit slow to come in the shower. Further away fro the ferry than I thought and no one for the checkout at 6 am (to make the ferryin time).

Just home from a one night stay with my mum and 18 month old Daughter. Ideal hotel.
Check in was quick, the room was great, 121, it
was spacious even with travel Cot and the added luxury of the balcony was great for fresh air and safe for little lady.
Tea, coffee facilities etc all great. Ate in the bar, perfect for Family Eating, very relaxed atmosphere, perfect for eating with a toddler! No Stress.
Breakfast was good. Overall very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend as A family Stay, without fuss 😊

Firstly upon arrival the staff were very accommodating to allow us do an early check in.
Once in the room as I was staying alone with two babies I moved around some furniture. I found some prescription tablets under one bed which shows how not thorough cleaning practices are.

In the room there was no bath and the shower head could only move a certain amount which made washing the babies very difficult after days on the beach.

Dining - there is very little available for anybody with any dietary requirements. On my first morning I couldn’t have any toast or hot food as there was nothing the staff could guarantee were gluten free. Eventually I got 2 poached eggs and a large pot of very watery tea. I asked for a highchair for my toddler which was provided but tray not removed and as I was staying on my own no staff member made any attempt to help me at all. For dinner that evening we were a party of 4 adults and 3 children eating. It took ages for our order to be taken and again with dietary requirements I was limited to having to have one dish - salmon with veg that was over cooked and some chips. I was still charged the full price for this. There was no effort made to accommodate any other type of dish - a stir fry deemed not easy to do.

There was no air conditioning or fans provided in the rooms and the amount the windows opened was limited. Also at night it got quite noisy and I couldn’t close the window to prevent this.

Overall a very disappointing stay

This is a lovely little hotel, should be 3 star I think, not 2. Staff are very accommodating. Food in the restaurant is very good, outside space is nice. Dining room a little like a school canteen, but clean and efficient. Only downside in the room, toiletries were not topped up, very little left in the containers. Lovely stay otherwise.

Lovely quaint little hotel...a little bit of cosmetic and diy work wouldnt go amiss....no receptionist on check out and breakfast was basic enough..
But room was clean and comfortable and it was lovely and quiet....perfect place to go to relax
