The room was a little outdated and small for a family suite. It had only 1 bathroom to accommodate 4 kids and 2 adults. For a suite I believe we should have had at least a half bath as well. The view was crappy, had a corner suite that was adjacent to a brick wall.

Amazing friendly staff willing to help with anything! The wine happy hour - with entertainment! So so good! And the Rum House right in the hotel- great cocktails with again amazing live music. Location was fantastic! Definitely staying here again!

I love Hotel Edison.I always stay her when visiting NYC. Jahaida at check-in was so welcoming and accommodating. Our only complaint was there is no lock on the bathroom door in the Family Suite in which we stayed and the shower leaked terribly. We had to create a system so we knew it was occupied then put towels on the floor to soak up the escaping water.

This hotel is great the rooms are immaculate, bedding changed daily, breakfast is good depending on what you want but small portions, I have accessible needs and use a manual wheelchair, but I didn’t need a disabled room, however I did request a room close to an elevator and it was not easy to manoeuvre round the corners/corridors (the room was miles away from elevator) we kept the room because it was massive and lovely, overall it’s a good place to stay in a great location, close to Times Square and Broadway

The location is great, however, the noise is near unbearable. It was difficult to sleep. There's so much noise outside the window, people were in the halls talking all night (too many kids), the hvac system made noise all night. Just terrible for sleep. There were zero amenities in the room, no coffee pot or table for items. Great location, add some noise cancellation, fix the hvac and get people from hanging out in the halls.

The set up of the bathroom was extremely poor. Hard to get to the toilet or even the sink because there was no space. The bathroom door, when opened touched the tub, blocking any access. The shower curtain had a mildew smell to it. The hotel advertises chrome casting but cannot be used and the tv guide would not work.

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Times Square and is a great base to travel to different areas of New York with loads of metro connections. But that also means it is not the quietest one as there is always something going on outside.

We had an issue with the room on the first night (loud pipes) which then was sorted the next day by lovely Kezia. She was very apologetic and was absolute star and offered to move us to a different room. Since then we had absolutely no problems. She also kindly put small extras in our room which made our stay that much lovely.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was so small that two people could not walk past the bed at the same time. I wonder if we got this awful room because we used Expedia. The people at the front desk were so very rude. If you happen to get in the wrong line to ask a question, you get a very snide remark in return. We love NYC and visit here every year. We will never stay here again.

I really enjoyed this hotel location. Off of the heart of Time square there’s everything you could need. I saw many Broadway performances in a very short walking distance. The Staff is very nice and the room is very clean. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this hotel.

The building is a bit dated, my room looked a little drab but it was clean. The coffee machine is dirty, not sure how long it's been since someone washed it. Everything else was fine. Some bulbs needed changing and the TV cast option was a hit and miss.

We went to NYC to see shows and our hotel was in the epicenter of most theaters. It was awesome. The hotel staff was great, and the room fit 3 of us. We were half a block away from times square where the TKTS booth is located. One of the shows we saw was right next door to the theater, which was nice since it was cold and snowing.

Checking in was a little confusing as the line was across from the desk when you walk in it looked like I was next in line but there was actually a bunch of people waiting to check in. No one was in the area to direct us. The room was fine. However it was jus very noisy outside in the city construction could be heard all night long and could here the girls in the room next to us especially in the bathroom. Liked it was close to the theater and downtown Times Square. The hotel had 3 restaurants attached to it which was very convenient.

There are a lot of great things about this hotel: the wine and entertainment nights in the lobby, the location, and the responsiveness of the staff when on site. We needed to request a fridge and more blankets and they brought them up right away. The accessible room was quite large and suited our accessible needs. The disadvantages: the room was very loud all through the night as there were trucks and work going on all through the night. The room was very cold by the windows as the windows aren’t well insulated. When we turned the heat up there was a lot of banging as a result. Also, the room would be much cozier if there were lamps or if the lights were on separate switches. The grab and go breakfast had very limited gluten free options.
I would only stay at this hotel again if I booked on a higher floor in a more traditional room.

Loved this hotel! I can’t believe we were literally 1 block away from time square. The hotel is conveniently located to everything. The staff were all sweet and it felt very secure, you have to show your key before being allowed anywhere in the hotel plus you need your room key for the elevator. The restaurant attached had great food, the bar attached was amazing and fun. Definitely recommend!

We really appreciated the location of this the Edison. It is less than a block to the west of the TKTS booth. It was quiet and they had nice amenities including a grab and go breakfast or for another $6.50 a person, a sit down breakfast at either of their 2 restaurants. The room was quite large, with a couch and 2 queen beds. The robes, complimentary bottle of wine and snacks were nice touches. We really appreciated the umbrella in the room as it rained all 3 days. The hotel is in a safe area and we felt secure at all times. The hotel has staff who check room keys and the elevators will not work unless scanned with your room key. So two more levels of protection. The Deco style of the public areas was beautiful. We loved the complimentary wine hour with entertainment too.

This is a prime Time Square location. It's an old, noisy hotel but has so much character and the wine happy hour is great. Rooms are good size too! The included breakfast is grab-and-go, but it's great.

Classic New York Hotel. It’s in the center of the rat race. The location is like downtown Chicago on steroids. The hotel itself was outdated, but had an old time class to it. Room was clean but had old carpet. The bed in my room was extremely comfortable!! The heater was very loud. It sounded like it was on its last leg at times. My friend’s heater also did this, I think it’s the age and model of the heaters. The food around town is amazing. By far some of the best food in the country. Hands down. Walking distance to these amazing food places wasn’t bad. Most of the staff at the hotel…just okay. Nothing too special, just seemed like they were going through the motions. New York is very overpopulated, especially on the weekends. Weekdays much more doable. Hotel gave a complimentary candy bar, bottle of wine, and bag of chips. Housekeeping was amazing! Very friendly, diligent, and helpful. The hotel gave meal vouchers for breakfast. You can use 2 a day, at different places. A couple of locations to choose from. The food is either free or at a low price. Many choices for food. Food is mediocre. You could sit down or take it to go. I would stay again. The property has a lot of potential, it could just use a major spruce up, while maintaining the classic style. New York always had things to do. Lots of choices when it comes to fun.

When we got to our room, it was cold. The heating unit was blowing cold air. We requested to have someone come check the unit out; we were told to leave it at 70 degrees to warm the room up. We left for the afternoon and when we returned to the room was it was freezing. With lots of back and forth from the room to the front desk, we were offered another room. When I went to the room to gather my belongings, the room finally warmed up. Needless to say, it was an inconvenience.

It was perfect for our short stay as we were close to our show. Walking distance to Central Park and Rockefeller Center. They were also able to hold our luggage for us after check out since we had a later flight so we were able to explore the city without hauling our stuff around with us. The Lobby was well monitored with staff requiring you to show room keys to access elevators an to even pass through the lobby once it was late at night. There are doors that exit out onto 47th and 46th street which is convenient! Rooms were clean but do show some wear and tear but nothing that was unacceptable. I would stay here again!
