Not a happy camper!

We were supposed to have a king bed but upon arrival told there was a problem with the king bedroom so we had 2 queens which we agreed. Little we know they were renovating the king bedroom which was directly over the 2 queen bed room. First of all there is a large screen TV in our room but there was no live TV, no sports, no news, no movies etc unless you subscribed to Prime, Sportsnet, Netflix etc so we went to bed at 1030 and the noise above us continued all night. I yelled at them at 2:00 and again at 4:00 and it continued. They were dropping tools and stomping around all night. I was going to ask for a refund from Hotels.ca. This was definitely the worst hotel.ca experience we ever had. I would not recommend this hotel. There were no black out drapes, and the ceilings seemed to be thin enough that when the tools hit the floor above we could not only hear it but we felt it. There was no front desk person to complain to and I believe the workers may have been the owner’s family.

This place is ridiculously overpriced. It should be $120 -150 a night . It has a lot of potential, but it seems the owners could not care less. I know one couple left soon after arrival. There are a number of cottages nearby to stay in which offer better value
The restaurant below is in fact very good and even has live entertainment

Two Nights Bday Weekend

This was a bday couples weekend for us and we stayed in room 7. At check in, the TV was not operational and there was no cold water in the shower. This was our first ever scalding hot shower at a hotel. Our concerns were discussed with Michelle who was responsible for the front desk and was very empathic and diligent about getting the issues resolved. However, the shower needs to be renovated as well as the plumbing. The room is small with a comfortable king bed and the AC works and we were grateful for this. The cost for this hotel is over priced. It’s not worth it.

This is a older but lovely little spot. The rooms are small but comfy. Very close to the beach, maybe a 5 min. walk. The staff were wonderful. There is a place to eat and they even had live entertainment, which was excellent. Your about a 10 min walk from the downtiwn area. It was a perfect spot for me and my friend.

I needed just a bed for the night. It suits my needs. The room is small in comparison to other hotels I've been in but when u consider the type of place and location it makes sense. It has got an onsite pizza place and another burger joint, so dont have to travel.far for food.
The beach is like a 5 minute walk!

Advertised as having air conditioning. It was a window unit that was hardly working and so loud. Very dirty. No one to check you in. They leave the key in your room door, so anyone can go in. 2 yowels, no face clothes and no bath mat. I ended up sleeping in my clothes as bed had hair in it and i didn't want my bare feet touching the floor. No onsite parking available, so i had to park down the street. Dirty mattress left in fron hall.

Within minutes of Checking in we realized the bed was soaking wet and the ceiling was leaking water from the rooms above us. So far it has been acknowledged and they are trying to figure out what to do but we are out of our room with no answers as of now. Unhappy travellers with no solutions, the property is trying to fix it

4 of us stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage which was very nicely decorated. The unit had a full kitchen and queen size beds were firm but comfy. Lots of pillows which was nice too!! Most places do not have enough pillows.
The kitchen was stocked with all of the dishes and cooking equipment needed. There was even a fresh tin of coffee! The only thing missing were some coffee filters.

The beach is within easy walking distance. The little restaurant and covered patio was also nice. Even live music on the weekends.

We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

The check in was smooth and quick. The room's AC didn't work, it operates as a fan only. Thank you for the fan instead.
The main reason we give a low rating is that the inn advertised that the breakfast is included in the stay. We found out only at the inn that the breakfast is no longer included. We could have picked another place if we would have know this in advance. Michelle said that she mentioned to Expedia to take the \"breakfast included\" option down several times and nothing was done. Not sure if it is Expedia's fault or Windspire's Inn fault. The restaurant next door doesn't offer breakfast either. There is quite a walk to the closest Tim Hortons, so at least a coffee maker in the room would have been appreciated.

This was once a nice Inn. It's now like a worn out old boot. The room was clean, though there was no hot water in the shower. The king bed took up the whole room, there was barely space to sit at the mini tin table (the only accessory). The property looked like somebody's messy back yard. Old bicycles, bathtubs in the garden and generally unkept. It's a cheap local apartment house.

The grounds around our room were poorly maintained and there was broken furniture and garbage around our room. The staff was helpful but the outside was poorly kept. There were also people Smoking outside our room. The room itself needed some further work - covers on outlets, finishing around the air conditioner and the wifi did not work most of the time.

Several years ago a relative loved this place hence the reason for coming. It is in a good location with lovely back yard but now it needs major TLC and updating. Room very small. Picture online shows a table and 2 chairs in the room but none in ours. Not sufficient plugs for electrical charging. There was no bedside lamp.

The only issue I had was finding someone about towels one day and their internet went out for 6 hours, doesn’t mean it was their fault, could have been BT.

Outdated hotel with old mattress and bed sheets. Hallways had an awful smell. You could hear conversations from the neighboring bedrooms. The very small bedroom was far from being clean: There were spiderwebs on the lamps, hair in the bathroom and soap on the shower curtain. When I told the front desk lady the room wasn't clean, she answered \"No, it is clean\" ... I didn't even try the included breakfast, served from 8:30 AM, at which time I had already left this filthy hotel

This could be a lovely spot but is very tired. Rooms are extremely small with old curtains etc. so much so that it felt like camping not a hotel. Very clean and a nice backyard area but the whole place has not been updated for decades. Our TV did not work and when reported to staff (who was very nice) they just said property is being sold but didn’t offer any solutions and just said the wifi was working. Could be a lovely spot with total refurbishment but wouldn’t recommend at the moment. Very bare bones.

While the location was great (just a few blocks from the shore), this bed and breakfast stay was only so-so. The room was very small, the bedding had a musty smell, the hot water supply took a while to reach the room, there were no kleenex available, and the breakfast was only a continental (toast, yogurt, etc.). Further, communication with staff was difficult. I did like the use of the kitchen facilities, especially the refrigerator/freezer for storage of cold items, and the availability of hair dryer and glassware.

I never felt unsafe, so there is that. Unfortunately everything in the hotel is very run down, there’s zero sound proofing, the hotel appears to be family run & they don’t seem to have adequate staffing and expertise and everything is done on the cheap and it really shows. The worse part was we get into the bed (for the first time) and we felt sand. I went immediately to the front desk to explain the situation and instead of an apology and a quick fix, I had to convince the worker/owner that I was telling the truth. When she arrived to changed the sheets (with clean but ripped ones) my wife helps her make the bed and she didn’t say sorry, thanks or anything. So much for customer service. If you have options, don’t stay here.

This place is a great place to stay for a B&B. Our room was big with 2 queen beds, a full bathroom and a door to lead outside to a huge courtyard/backyard.
The backyard had lots of space for seating ,it has a fire pit and bbq.
The lobby is very quiet and love the old fashioned furniture with a hint of new stuff. They have a sitting area where you can visit or do work. Attached to that is a nice breakfast area. The breakfast area is set where they could serve a hot breakfast along side the typical cold cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, bananas, and breads. They also had coffee and juice. There was what looked like an old bar which if they sprucced it up and got an liquor license it could bring in more revenue and give the guests a nice relaxing drink. The inn is a 5 min walk to the beach and boat docks.
The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean, mind you they could've cleaned under the beds a bit better and night table as we found an entire full sized lemon behind the lamp table lol , gave our family a laugh.
All in all , it is a great place to stay and we definitely would consider staying here again.

Windspire Inn is a beautiful Inn …immaculate ! Property is well maintained.
Our room was very clean & tidy, with fresh linens and clean white towels.
The room wasn’t overly big however, we only slept & showered there, the rest of the time was enjoyed on the beach.
I would highly recommend Windspire Inn as we are sure to come back again.

It looked lovely and has good potential. A young man served as host. He had the doors locked when we arrived at 4;20 and we had to call him to let us in. Rooms were small and the restaurant not open. The room was poorly equipped (Chairs unseen/TV limited. Manager was not on duty once we had checked in. Breakfast was sparse.

The room did not look like the advertising - so small you could not get into the bed from one side, there was just a small gap between the window wall and the bed. We are seniors and climbing over one side is very hard. The bathroom although very clean is so small you can hardly get up from the toilet - as mentioned we are seniors who need a bit more elbow-room.
It was hard to find the staff, when checking out in the morning.
I can not recommend this place to my friends.

Shower - no cold water...only hot (scalding) and the handle fell off.

Hot room - was shown to our room, window open, AC off, room hot as hell. The whole place was hot.

Hair dryers are out in the hallway on a table. Wife used one and it only blew cold air.

When I checked in, the staff had no idea I was coming. The guy didn't even pull up the booking on the computer...just handed me a key.

Decent price, nice people...they just don't seem to have their act together. 3 stars.

Upon arrival the doors were locked and no way to get in. We walked around the property before someone came running out bare foot. After verifying our identity the front desk clerk took us upstairs and looked inside the room for a few seconds before letting us in and before saying it was ok. Not sure what he was looking for. We walked in and he checked the bathroom for us and did the same thing. We decided to leave and discuss our options which in the end we decided it was not safe or very clean to spend the night. We moved on.
